  1. Jason+M.+Hendler says:

    Ahhhhhh….

    No more Katrina ….

    No more global warming ….

No more two Americas speeches ….

After Nov. 7, pundits will scream at Dems that no one knows what the party stands for, and therefore couldn’t capitalize on the Reps low poll numbers – your welcome.

  2. RealScientist says:

Karl Rove has advised the GOP to stand firm and admit no wrong. This strategy will remain effective with the kool aid drinkers. The question remains whether the Republicans can keep their majorities in Congress on this 30% base plus whatever cheating they will use this time.

  3. TheToonGuy says:

This is what Republicans want from their government – 100% protection of the Republican party, 24-7. The needs of the citizens are irrelevant.

  4. DallasNE says:

This announcement is premature. A decision on resignation needs to be made after preliminary findings of fact. He may well yet need to resign.

  5. Innocent+Bystander says:

Way to go, Dennis! Hang in there and have a few more donuts. Keep sticking up for the values of poor judgement and partisan politics. Remember, you deserve to lead this corrupt majority and no one can make you do the right thing and resign.

  6. Wordsmith says:

    The day isn’t over yet.

  7. Jason+M.+Hendler says:

Moreover, this Foley story totally stepped on Woodward’s book release, so the argument over Iraq remains in Republican’s favor – bwah hah haaaa…

  8. DallasNE says:

    #7

This is like saying that it is good news that a patient who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer just suffered a stroke and is in a coma. Some “good news” that he likely won’t die of lung cancer.

  9. Hastert Hearts Pedophiles says:

This is how Republicans “police their own”: by ignoring ethical and moral lapses until they go away. Or, in the case of Tom Delay, by changing the rules of the House to bend around his ethics breaches.

  10. Hastert+Hearts+Pedophiles says:

#7 in Republicans’ favor?? What, the incompetent execution of a war against an country that was not a threat to us? I’ll have the argument anytime, Jason M. Heckler.

  11. not impressed with the US says:

    #7 Jason M. Hendler

I have never really felt it necessary to react to your weak, ill-informed, nonsense, but you know what, you have got to be the poster boy for the red-necked, obtuse, dim-witted, freaks that Republicans call their “base”.

  12. Jason+M.+Hendler says:

    8, 10 and 11,

Wrong, remember when Reagan’s funeral stepped all over Clinton’s book – same thing – enjoy. Reps poll numbers are still rising on the war, because we are talking about Foley. Duke Cunningham had no impact, neither will Foley – advantage Reps.

  13. Seitz says:

Wouldn’t Iraq have to be in Republicans’ favor to begin with to “remain” in their favor? Apparently the Republican war on science has become a war on math as well.

  14. Dogjudge says:

I live in Hastert’s district. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Is it true that he’s flying to Boston for a meeting with the Bishops there on how you handle this type of issue?

  15. Zooey says:

Hastert’s holding his breath until Mommy gives in…

    Not this time Dennis.

  16. Jason+M.+Hendler says:

    Sing with me ….

    No news on Iraq …

Is good news about Iraq …

Save these gems of wisdom to review after the election ….

  17. Hastert+Hearts+Pedophiles says:

#12. Reps will NEVER have an advantage on the Iraq war. Bush and his idiotic advisors have f**ed it up completely. Your poll numbers are rising?? 60% of Americans think we should have a timeline to exit Iraq and 70% of Iraqis want us out now. I guess the numbers pretty much have to get better for you from there, since their now scraping the bottom of the barrel.

  18. pbg says:

I am as sick and tired of hearing it from folks on the left as trolls on the right. People really are capable of retaining information on other topicswhen talking about something else. It’s what distinguishes us from sponges.
News shows have more than one topic. People remember Iraq and Katrina and their clutching fear over what heating their home will cost this winter evenn while they get mad about Foley.
Bob Woodward wrote a book, and books tend not to evaporate. It’ll still be there in a day or two.
What’s going to happen, Jason, is that people will begin to see a common pattern in all this: nothing matters to these people but retaining power. Not our soldiers, not middle class families, not children.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls, Jason.

  19. Seitz says:

    No news on Iraq …

    Is good news about Iraq

I thought Iraq was in the Republicans’ favor? Make up your damn mind, idiot.

  20. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

You’d think by some trolls’ estimation that this is just a game. You can just hear their hometown announcer: “Republicans 1, America 0″.

  21. Jason+M.+Hendler says:

Feel the election slipping through your fingers …

  22. dlet says:

Wrong, remember when Reagan’s funeral stepped all over Clinton’s book – same thing – enjoy

So your saying that Reagan’s death was good news?

  23. Zooey says:

Feel the election slipping through your fingers …
    Comment by Jason+M.+Hendler

You know that feeling you have of something slipping out of your grasp, Jason?

It’s your eternal soul, slipping into damnation.

  24. RealScientist says:

Feel the election slipping through your fingers …

    Comment by Jason+M.+Hendler — October 3, 2006 @ 10:19 am

    umm, actually no

  25. Sharon Cox says:

Good Morning all, Never forget….jason h. is the troll who want’s to “distroy” all democrat’s by his own words on a think fast post.

Leave the troll’s to play with them selves and keep focused on the most important issues…ending the war’s, our country and returning the constitution to it’s original status…Stopping this dictatorship need’s to be most important issue….Blessings…Peace

  26. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

Jason, we’ll “Feel the election slipping through your fingers” as soon as you “Feel the erection slipping through your fingers”.

  27. Bruce+Gorton says:

    PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC)

To guys like Hendler, winning the elections is about all there is to being a good government. It doesn’t matter what the economy does, it doesn’t matter what the enviroment does, it doesn’t even matter that America has landed in a war which has the rest of the world scratching its collective head, and it certainly doesn’t matter that members of the majority party’s leadership are diddling kids, what really matters is that the Republicans win elections.

And if you disagree with the Republican’s choices you must be some sort of pinko gay-loving terrorist sympathising tree hugging Bush bashing libtard communist.

  28. blogenfreude says:

This could mean the House and the Senate! Woot! It’s a shame that lying your way into an unwinnable war wasn’t enough to bring down the right wing, but this’ll do!

And Foley is apparently turning to Scientology to cure him of teh gay.

  29. not+impressed+with+the+US says:

    #18 pbg

Do not waste Ernest Hemingway on Hendler. He doesn’t (as with most people with single digit IQs) GET IT!!!

  30. Hastert+Hearts+Pedophiles says:

Republicans coddle pedophiles. Plain and simple.

  31. Publicus says:

Good. Then we can accurately describe the GOP (grand old perverts) as the party whose leadership enables internet stalking. That’ll be the campaign platfrom they can run on.

  32. unitynow says:

Better that he doesn’t resign and fights it – this will keep PREDATOR-GATE in the public eye until November! Hooray!

After that, the people will vote this “predator protector” out on his ear! That is, after all his dirty past is aired to the world….and it’s probably coming soon!

  33. DieNowForPeace says:

Even the lowest common denominator (i.e. dumbest) voters are beginning to see the reality behind the GOP which JMH embodies: They’re more concerned with staying in power than actually DOING THEIR JOB WITH RESPECT AND INTEGRITY.
SPIN, DODGE, LIE, all in the name of maintaining the majority? People are very tired of this. The GOP will not recover in time for November. PERIOD.
    Thanks Mr. Foley! Sick-ass pervert.

  34. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

And if you disagree with the Republican’s choices you must be some sort of pinko gay-loving terrorist sympathising tree hugging Bush bashing libtard communist. Comment by Bruce+Gorton

    Guilty as charged!

Do not waste Ernest Hemingway on Hendler. Comment by not+impressed+with+the+US

My proposal is that we all talk about Hendler’s posts “behind his back” and never directly address him. Kind of like the FOXNEWS “some say technique”.

  35. blogenfreude says:

    Donate to Hastert’s opponent here:

    http://john06.com/

  36. KingCranky says:

You keep spinning there Jason, the more time you waste with your posts here, the less time you’re spending reaching out to the still undecided voters personally-Just shows that the beliefs you say you have are all lip service only, and not worth trying to convince others of your ideas

Of course, if you do decide that lip service isn’t enough, and actually do try to reach out to recruit more GOP voters, then your babble here is significantly reduced

A true “Win-Win” scenario all the way around

And of course, Iraq is either a stunning success for the GOP & W, or it’s best not talked about, but you can’t have it logically both ways

Then again, “logic” is NOT a big concept with the rapidly dwindling number of willfully ignorant W lackeys like yourself

But that’s okay lil’ trooper, because you know that all your Bizarro World BS about how everything’s coming up roses for the GOP is just that, BS, that you can’t logically (there’s that word again) defend in a way positive for W or the GOP

Oh, and if the GOP should actually cheat it’s way to another electoral victory, guess what?

The rest of the world has had just about enough of the Whiny Wannabe Warrior W and his terrorist-supporting, Usama bin Laden-appeasing policies, and there’s no way W gets a free pass anymore when it comes to further military attacks-in other words, no more bully-based policies without paying a price

Hey, maybe you can enlighten everyone how Frist’s enthusiastic support of bringing the Taliban back into power in Afghanistan would make this country safer from another attack launched by those who helped hit us on September 11

You DO remember what happened on September 11 don’t you Jason, because W sure as hell doesn’t, otherwise he wouldn’t have cut & run from finishing off the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan to instead invade & occupy Iraq based on nothing but flat out lies

Why don’t you show which positive pre-occupation predictions have been borne out in post-invasion Iraq, which projects have come in on time and under budget, and even better, explain how anything other than the miserable leadership shown by Donald Rumsfeld accounts for the ever-spiraling violence three years after W declared “Mission Accomplished”?

As for Hastert, you keep that Speaker spot as long as possible, keep drawing out the damage until the November election, and count on having to answer questions along the lines of “Is the House GOP Leadership aware of any other currently serving members in it’s party having inappropriate contact with minors?”

The GOP, making the world safe for Massive Corruption and Pederasts everywhere-well, everywhere in the GOP that is

  37. unitynow says:

The only thing Foley was intoxicated on was the “abuse of power” which is a hallmark of the GOP. Hastert has the same disease. Now that he’s remaining in office, I guess he realizes that his life will now be scrutinized…let’s see what’s in his closet now! From some of the posts I’ve seen, I’m sure there’s plenty of dirt there!

Oh, and his bud Reynolds “using children” is his recent puff piece. The caption of that photo should be “Prima facia evidence of how the GOP uses OUR children”.

  38. unitynow says:

(For the record: Jason’s a nutcase and egomaniac so any conversation with him is a total waste of one’s time and energy.)

  39. Down but not out says:

I said it yesterday & I’ll say it again today.

After the Dems win the majority and they pick a new
speaker of the house, this person will be in line for the
presidency after the impeachment of Bush & Cheney.

We need to focus on the next Dem house speaker !!!!

    Our next un-elected president.

  40. Bruce+Gorton says:

    PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC)

Personally, I am not guilty, I am proud of it. Those are labels for people who care.

  41. Will+OBGYN+for+Food says:

    The pedaphile protector won’t resign?
On NPR they were interviewing pages who were now in college. They say one of their coping mechanisms for dealing with Foley was denial.

  42. RUCerious says:

Absolutely, Hastert should hang around to sponsor the No Predator left behind legislation…

  43. budpaul says:

Excellent – the worst thing that could happen would be for him to resign. Then we wouldn’t be able to keep using him as a punching bag. Much like George Allen suffered about two weeks too long for his macaca crack because he refused to just apologize for the comment, having Hastert around for a while longer will only continue destroy his effectiveness a month before the midterms.
    America’s Least Wanted

  44. RUCerious says:

    Jason’s sure chatty this morning!
Here’s one for ya dude, or dudette as the case may be…
Iraq PM offers new peace plan.
Taped a bullet to the White House Front Door.

  45. BigCynic.com says:

Sure, let Hastert’s bloated, creepy face, like that of a Red ‘Lectroid from “Buckaroo Banzai,” be a reminder to the voters.

  46. KingCranky says:

Oh, and here’s more Hendler type “Good News” for the GOP

Boehner Points Finger at the Speaker

“I believe I talked to the Speaker and he told me it had been taken care of,” said Boehner. “And, and, and my position is it’s in his corner, it’s his responsibility. The Clerk of the House who runs the page program, the Page Board—all report to the Speaker. And I believe it had been dealt with.”

Please note that by saying that he talked with the Speaker about Foley, Boehner is reversing course and going back to his original position.

Looks like Boehner’s flip-flopping, cutting & running from going down with the rest of the rats on the rapidly sinking USS GOP

Not that there’s any way Boehner survives in his Majority Leader status if Hastert resigns, as Boehner knew about Foley’s deeds as well, if anything before even Lazy Denny did

JM Marshall was right, this Foley Fiasco has almost decapitated the GOP’s House Leaders

  47. jethro says:

    CNN 12/14/ 2002:
“Lott, who was greeted with hearty cheers from supporters at the start of his news conference, vowed not to step down from his leadership post…”

    CNN 12/20/2002:
“Sen. Trent Lott announced Friday he was stepping down as Republican leader in the Senate.”

Hastert will announce his resignation from the leadership post Friday.

  48. RUCerious says:

jethro – damn, I was hoping for his resignation from the human race.

  49. Exley says:

Hastert resigning would be the honorable and correct thing to do….

So, of course, he won’t do it.

  50. unitynow says:

Hastert remaining as a reminder of GOP “predator protecting” will mean an overwhelming democratic victory in November and 08! The longer he stays, the more damage he does. Hang around, Denny! You’ll soon have nothing else to do!

  51. Manuel says:

Come on Dems, once you have them on the run YOU GOTTA KEEP EM ON THE RUN !!!

  52. Jay+Randal says:

Fatso Denny Hastert must resign or be voted out of office > PERIOD.

  53. Marie says:

We will try to vote him out of office, Jay.
