I agree with 156. Unfortunately, the ideals of our Founding Fathers have been lost. They have been lost to privateers. America as we now know it needs to be preserved to what our Founding Fathers intended. "America" must become a philosophy, rather than a "land". The only way to preserve the "American Constitution and Bill of Rights" as we know it today, is to promote it worldwide as it was intended for the people of The United States of America, but for a greater good - the greater good of the world.

The idea of "America" was once revered, admired and held in the ultimate esteem in the eyes of peoples throughout the world. The term America was once synonymous with term Dream in the eyes of most. It was considered a "big-brother" to many, and to the rest it was at least a place of great founders and visions.

Sadly, our America has become a term of deceit, distrust, corruption, abuse and greed.

In this age of instantaneous global communication, a new Worldwide Constitution must emerge (unbeholden to the existing pacts/treatises/deals as currently exist in the UN, etc). Within a few decades the peoples of the world shall balance themselves among the worldwide lands - globalization is inevitable.

As such, my proposal to the world is this:

The American Dream must continue to exist - it must exist even if it is only in spirit rather than territory. It must exist, even if it has to be given a new name and a new country. Long after we are all gone, the dreams of our Founding Fathers must live on...

Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness for all; in every form, for the greater good and never for the good of the greatest.

I like the defense to this that goes "well, no one told them exaclt when where and how the attacks would happen" - it's ambiguous when they hear it, but when they state something vague and ambiguous, it's to be take as having a perfectly clear meaning...Bullshit, MA, bullshit liberalsarefakes (wtf is that supposed to mean anyway?) would any of these trolls be able to get anything started without the lame repetition of labels that really don't mean dick in the first place?

What I want to know is *which is it*?

First Kinda-Lies-A-Lot says she doesn't think the meeting happened; then she says it happened but it was "unremarkable"; *then* her spokesman comes out and says that she allegedly took the remarkable step of telling Tenet to make the same presentation to the FBI/Asshat (Ashcroft). The administration usually does a better job of obfuscation. Why she didn't take a little time to come up with *one* story, who knows.

By the by, could those of you who post in all lower-case do the other readers a favor (if you expect your posts to be digested) and try using proper format?

Did someone actually say that (I say who cares why) or this query more rhetorical nonsense?

i believe the majority of us know where the money goes. have you ever watched the 'moneychangers'? if not do so. it will enlighten every citizen. what i think is that the american public is like to hell with it, cuz it can't be stopped. and i am believing it may not be. but i do my part. i buy my gas from a rinkey dink. and don't drive unless i need to. i don't drive around with those 'ribbons' flagged all over my car. do you? if so you are supporting china, not the troops. i don't buy crap i don't need. i believe if anyone wants to stop the insanity you need to go to the head of the octopus and that is the rothchilds(zionists). and then work to chop off all of his tentacles. the majority don't even know the rothchilds and everyone should. they need to be exposed and have talked recently of there outing and not liking it. this will expose the rockefellers, duponts, remington, murdochs, morgans. until then the 'mission accomplished' sign rings true in that sense. i believe bush knows what the sign was truly meaning.

Stoneaxe: "If you have even one rational bone in your body you have to understand that he was one lucky bastard. The economy being in the shape it was during his tenure was pure coincidence. Just part of the typical cycle."

Clinton is a Rhodes Scholar with a PhD in economics. He raised the top marginal rates on our wealthiest citizens about 3%. Republicans said this would cause a depression or a steep recession and none of them voted for this tax policy. This tax change and some targeted tax reductions for working class people created the longest peacetime expansion of the economy in history. It turned the deficit handed over to him by Bush 41 into a surplus. You accuse me of being irrational, but you can't imagine a public policy having an effect on our economy and our system. Strange.

All of these comments are so sad. You fight with each other, call each other names, and defend one party against the other. The politicians like it this way. By turning the political debate into something akin to a sports spectacle, it makes the average person feel like they're apart of what's happening. My side vs. your side. Let me tune in to talk radio and learn the good points about my team and the bad points about your team. Let me tune into cable TV or the Sunday morning shows and watch a Democrat square off against a Republican, just like an NFL game. It's entertainment, designed solely to keep you from paying attention to what's really going on. It's misdirection. And why? Because what goes on in Washington isn't about you. It's about power and who controls it. It's about the flow of money, real money. Yeah, most of it is yours, but you've been conditioned to hand it over without thinking about it. Every time you buy something, every time you get your paycheck, every time you pump gas, your money is taken from you. Where does it go? Do you really know? Of course not. You're not looking because they have you looking elsewhere. Like the good magicians that they are.

OK, resume your argument. That's what they want you to do.

The Rice is fried -- she fits perfectly in the incompetent Bush&Co.
The worst of it is that thousands have paid with their lives - and still about a third of the country think they are just fine: Nitwits who worship the misfits.

These days I'm having a difficult time believing we deserve much respect. As far as belief in the system just the opposite is true. I typically vote to maintain the checks and balance. I'll be voting democrat where there is republican strength (national) and republican where there is democrat strength (local). How sad that I feel the need to vote to try and minimize the power of our officials. My problem is that you all believe that only you hold the truth. The faithful on both side are sounding like religios zealots.

And you believe that Clinton is doing what he is doing without political purpose? How naive. I'm not some neocon nut that believes Clinton is the devil. I voted for the man. I just don't believe he is the second coming as many here seem to. As far as things being better with Clinton. If you have even one rational bone in your body you have to understand that he was one lucky bastard. The economy being in the shape it was during his tenure was pure coincidence. Just part of the typical cycle. Some things were truly better, some were not.
The biggest problem we have is the polarization caused by a two party system. I don't care for half the republican platform, the same with the democrats. Start a rational party, one that would have put 100,000 troops into Afghanistan and hunted all of al-queda and the taliban down regardless of where they went into hiding. One that would also realize that we need to be good neighbors and lead by example, signed the Kyoto treaty, focused on reducing our dependance on foriegn oil, and on an on. Give me some politicians that will do whats right and not just what will keep them in power.

Joe Carozza, the information about Clinton's day when he tried to kill bin Laden is from "The Clinton Wars," by Sidney Blumenthal. The book has been completely vetted and is acknowledged as one of the best historical accounts of Clinton's two terms by a Clinton insider. Historians have generally accepted the book as a valid history. I think you are the one being fooled here.
