They don't care about what it should mean, or the value of the concept, they just want to smear and blame and damage the president (that is their life's function). The realistic definition is: keep trying until the job is done right. It's a simple concept that most older people understand. A lot of young kids and young adults don't really understand this concept. They want immediate satisfaction with little work. Unfortunately the liberals in general are the same deal. The second part of stay the course is to modify, improvise, and get creative. We use new equipment to protect soldiers from IED's, for example. The result is that about the same number of US soldiers per capita die in an average month as people are murdered in Detroit or D.C. That is pretty good relative to other wars in my opinion. Once we train a substantial number of Iraqi security forces, our job will be mostly done. We have to hunker down and get this done with a lot of difficulty because the insurgents don't want democratic success. They want to break us before the troops are trained. They want to win and turn Iraq into something similar to a Taliban state. Al Qaida recently said that due to the number of insurgents killed, they are in a huge need for new recruits. We are getting there, and once we train the troops, I just pray that Iraq will have the wisdom and force to solve THEIR civil problems.
