They volunteered and are supposed to be satisfied and fulfilled in Iraq, and be quiet about what they experience.
Reality is something the Bush adminsitration just doesn’t appreciate.
Facts, honesty, critical thinking, foresight, intelligence — those are other things that Bush&Co don’t appreciate.
Bush can never repay the soldiers or their families for what he has done to them, but one day, I hope to see Bush “brought to justice.”

Don’t get me wrong…we’re on the same side…but, it is becoming increasingly clear that the first mistake was Afghanistan. That war had no more legitimacy than the Iraq conflict. The fact that it had popular support was simply the beginning of The Lie of 911.

More and more, I have been turning to sources outside the US for analysis, simply because there are too many delusional levels in any of the US media sources – liberal, conservative or WTF. Here are the results of a McClatchy/MSNBC poll of Pennsylvanians in which they asked what should be done in Iraq.

What should the U.S. do in Iraq?:
Send more 11%
Keep same 23%
Withdraw some 21%
Withdraw all 27%
Not sure 18%

It is incredible that even now, slightly less than half (48%) advocate at least some troop withdrawals, and only a little over a quarter say to get out altogether. A sixth are baffled. -Juan Cole
