“I’m a huge Denny Hastert fan — I think he’s a great speaker,” Cheney tells the Washington Examiner. “And it makes no sense at all for him to think about stepping down.”
Of course it doesn’t make sense to you, DICK. You openly campaign for incompetent leaders like yourself. You are too evil or stupid or both to realize just how much you have hurt to America. Oh, and you should probably know that your words of support me next to nothing with the American people, Mr. 20% Approval Rating. America’s Least Wanted
“And it makes no sense at all for him to think about stepping down.â€
Good heavens, no! What do we want from our elected leaders, personal responsibility?
Who cares if a few 16 year old pages get a few sexy e-mails from 52 year old members of congress. It’s not like the were promised they’d be protected from sexual predators!
As of right now, there’s no proof that Rep. Foley actually had sexual relations with a teenaged boy. It’s all “how big is your penis?” and “did you spank it?” Just what every Republican want’s their 16 year old boys to be IM’d from a Republican Representative.
Urk! There I go again, throwing up a little in my mouth.
Its funny that one of the most disliked politicians is sticking up for hastert. thats really gonna go far with americans. also, seems that rumsfeld still has his job because of cheney. Cheney can probably convince Bush but i dont think he has much pull with the american public.
Cheney is the one rotten leg of the stool that will bring it all down…gotta knock that leg out. No Cheney – no Rummy, no Sweaty Wrestler and best of all, Bush gets to go it all alone – won’t that be fun to watch?
Good, I’m glad Cheny is sticking to Hastert. Things are coming into the light nicely. The criminals are indeed showing their true stripes and they don’t even know it………that’s how deluded and just plain nuts they are.
The longer Hastert hangs around with the “support” of the senior ruling thugs, the clearer it gets and the more sure their fall from power. The US is in grave danger every moment they are in power. It’s like waking up and realizing that the bus driver is really a 12 year old boy that has never driven and you’re barreling down the highway at 90.
Of course the King and Darth support Denny. The are not responsible leaders for any of their errors in judgement or otherwise, so why should Denny be responsible for dropping the ball. If fact, no republican is responsible it was Clinton’s fault.
Of course Cheney supports Hastert. He still needs him there.
His entire career has been based on placing incompetent wimp-frauds in positions of power and then squeezing their balls to force them to do his evil deeds. Its actually pretty easy for him to do. He just has to find people who lack a solid resume and self-concept, flatter them and inflate their egos by suggesting they hold some big-dream of a position in government. Then all he has to do is retreat into the darkness to remotely control their thoughts with his demonic powers.
It works great: in the past six years alone, he has essentially been the President of the United States, the National Security Advisor, CIA director, the Secretary of State, the Speaker of the House and Majority Leader of the Senate using this perfected tactic.
The entire “Examiner” interview was a complete denial and distortion of reality.
I really like the part where he quotes his best friend ever, UBL, as saying Iraq is the front line in the war on terror.
Aiding and abetting the enemy is known as treason, Richard Cheney, and you have willingly and deliberately played into their hands for a long time………..
I want a job in the Bush Administration! Talk about job security. There seems to be no performance or ethical standard so low to shake Bush and Cheney’s unwavering support – that is as long as you are Republican.
Just wanted to let you know: After reading your post, I put you in for a position in the Government. I am sorry to inform you that my application on your behalf was rejected.
It appears you are not qualified for any postions they have, because you can put together a coherent sentence.
“I’m a huge Dennis Hastert fan.” So Cheney figures if he treats Hastert like a rock star that everything will be “cool”? We don’t buy that. Cheney, please do something else with your hugeness.
Okay, #49, I was going to just throw this in without reading any of the comments: Is he saying that he’s a fan of “huge Denny Hastert”? Damn, everyone’s getting the good lines in ahead of me today!:-)
Don’t you see a pattern developing here…kind of like the Spartan warriors gallantly defending their partners, I mean fellow soldiers when the going got tough.
Well Cheney’s edorsement sure makes ME feel better about Hastert! I mean, if Cheney likes him then he must be trustworthy, right?
But what about this quote from Cheney – “We will retain control of both houses”.
I sure hope that’s his corporate side flashing back to the days when he had to constantly reassure his stockholders (no matter what the real story was of course) and doesn’t reflect some kind of “done deal”!
Cheney says that Denny Hastert is a great Speaker. He also said that we’d be greeted as liberators in Iraq. We’re actually occupiers. Cheney also promised the American people that there were WMD to be found in Iraq. Better to go after them than to find them in the form of a mushroom cloud, he said.
ahhh the cheny kiss of death. knowing that the truth is 180 degrees out of phase with anything and everything cheney says, cheney’s stellar referral of Hastert is confirmation that Hastert is guilty, is a lying scumbag, and most definitely is not fit to be an employee of the federal government, let alone a Speaker of the People’s House.
.
Cheney is the one rotten leg of the stool that will bring it all down…gotta knock that leg out. No Cheney – no Rummy, no Sweaty Wrestler and best of all, Bush gets to go it all alone – won’t that be fun to watch?
Pretty hard to accomplish this. When Cheney the ventriloquist (sic) pulls his hand out of Bush/puppet’s ass, the puppet will just fall over on his face.
Cheney is backing Hastert to remain as Speaker of the House has got to be the best news since Foleygate broke! Who kwould have guessed that Cheney is part of the vast left wing conspiracy to undermine the GOP? The truth is stranger than fiction.

You go girl!!!
October 5th, 2006 at 10:13 amThat tells you all you need to know about Dennis Hastert.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:15 amRearranging deck chairs, aren’t they?
October 5th, 2006 at 10:15 amThese guys are unreal. The windows of their little world are painted black and they can’t see anything outside.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:17 amof course you wouldn’t Dick, it’s not like everyone is calling for you to step down as well for all the GREAT work you’ve done.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:17 amWhy does Dennis Hastert hate America’s children?
October 5th, 2006 at 10:18 amYeah Cheney is very supportive of Hastert. Likes him a lot Cheney’s even asked him to go on a hunting trip.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:19 amCheney must have had his supply of fresh puppy blood replenished — he seems robustly evil today.

October 5th, 2006 at 10:24 amThere were Weapons of Mass Seduction in the Capital and he did nothing!
October 5th, 2006 at 10:24 amWe must liberate Congress from the threat of Hastert.
Urk! There I go again, throwing up a little in my mouth.
Comment by Democrat Soldier
Stop doing that! I’m trying to eat!
Maybe I should get off the “Dick” Cheney thread… :P
October 5th, 2006 at 10:25 amCan’t you just see Dennis Hastert, upon hearing the VP’s endorsement, smacking his forehead and saying, “Ah, fuuuuudge.”
October 5th, 2006 at 10:28 am“BIDEN: No, I don’t want to respond to him. He’s at 20 percent in the polls. No one listens to him. He has no credibility. It’s ridiculous…”
October 5th, 2006 at 10:28 amOK, then. Here’s a bumper sticker:
REMOVE HASTERT! VOTE DEMOCRATIC!
Thanks for not stepping down, Denny.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:29 am15% (or whatever) Approval Rating Dick Cheney + On the Ropes Denny Hastert = another Democratic seat in the House.
Thanks, Dick!

Dennis Hastert won’t step down until he hasn’t a shred of dignity left — then he’ll blame it all on the left.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:33 amThank you Darth for your words of wisdom. Say, where is that Death Star of yours now anyway?
October 5th, 2006 at 10:33 amCheney endorsement = Kiss of death
October 5th, 2006 at 10:33 amWell, if Dick likes him so much, why hasn’t he shot him yet? Hmmm?

October 5th, 2006 at 10:40 amThat does it. Hastert is toast. Much like Brownie doing a heck of a job, there has to be a fall guy – and Hastert is the designated scapegoat.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:41 amOf course the King and Darth support Denny. The are not responsible leaders for any of their errors in judgement or otherwise, so why should Denny be responsible for dropping the ball. If fact, no republican is responsible it was Clinton’s fault.

October 5th, 2006 at 10:44 amOh yeah–THAT’S an endorsement that matters!
October 5th, 2006 at 10:46 amMore fodder for John Laesch’s negative ad!
Seriously, is there anyone who will change their mind about Hasbeen now that Cheney’s given him the thumbs-up?
On the other hand…it doesn’t look like there’s any recent polling about Hasbeen, so maybe he is less popular than Dick Vader.
October 5th, 2006 at 10:48 amMaybe Cheney will invite Hastert to go with him on his next hunting trip.
