She only cares when the victims are straight Republicans and not gay Repubs or Liberals. There is no doubt in my mind that if these kids were all involved in Democrat campaigns right now, she’d have every other word on that damn site highlighted, linking to all their personal information and beyond.

October 6th, 2006 at 3:20 pmThis should not be too surprising; Michelle is media savvy and has likely realized that attempting to blame the victim will not work. I’m sure it works fine for the community she is a part of - although even then it’s probably a fraction of its former self on this issue - but the ‘problem’ is that it’s very difficult to blame the victim when the predator happens to be 1.) a congressman 2.) a congressman who enjoys the company of underage males.
That’s the problem for her - if it was a congressman and the victim was female she’d probably be all for spinning it - but because Foley is everything that she and her like detest (sexually) it doesn’t do any good to try to make the child predator who as it happens is a gay GOP congressman look good. Yes, ‘gay’ matters because he’s GOP and the GOPers seem to be in denial that gay GOP people IN POWER exist. Hence the ‘gay cabal’ deal.
Anyway she probably realized it’s easier to blame it all on gays - much easier than blaming it on a underage victim.
