I think this whole discussion misses the point on bias in the media. Rush, Air America and a whole slew of media outlets never said they were objective reporters of news. But there are a variety of news sources that have bias that pretend to be objective.

#98: It was hilarious to hear Drudge on Thursday put out the “spin” on the “prank page” email to Foley and have Rush and Medved gobble it up like this whole affair was “busted”, when this was only ONE drop of water in a dam break.

Drudge is a distorter of facts; a Republican shill; therefore he cannot “kill” a truth-speaker.

Likewise, the conservative blogs do not deal in the truth; they deal in spin; they are to be dismissed as the cynical liars they are.

I think if you look at the lemming mentality of , excuse me, the comfortable level of agreement that the right traditionally has with it’s authentic or party approved media vs that similar apparatus of the left it doesn’t matter what the vehicle is, the opined delivery of facts comes from a trusted dogmatic source that from the rights’ view is gospel and the left’s it’s debatable. Just look at the early bumper stickers for Lord Oxyctoin of 9k withdrawals, Rush is Right. That’s right up there with the Bible says it, so t I beleive it. The left is reactionary in most parts due to the Right’s exact unquestioning ecuminical if you will, acceptance of their infallible leaders polluted dogma.

In the big picture, still in this day and age, not everyone has a computer, internet, or access to either. That leaves radio and tv. The liberals HAD a radio talk show that failed. WHY? as much hate mail, and fou mouthed vulgarities as I see lobbed around here you would think there would be millions of liberal listeners. There wasn’t, and because ot that, Air America, (Which btw has had issues with donations being routed improperly, and other improprieties), is in bankruptcy. Nobody wasnts to advetise, because they couldn’t get enough listeners to make it worthwhile.

Why?

Maybe because instead of offering solutions, all they could do is badmouth, put down, name call, and belittle others. You cannot expect to gather listeners, without discussing items open to all. Even Hannity/limbaugh/Boortz discuss with people in all groups, and have even agreed on more than one occasion with an opposing view.

I tuned into air america 1 time. I heard more foul, abusive, denigrating, sophmoric, and vulger words and comments in 1 hour than I ever all three conservative commentators use in a month.

This is what I want from Washington:
1. Secure boarder and immigration control. Stiff fines for employers knowingly hiring undocumented workers. Deportation of illegal aliens as soon as they are discovered. Well guarded and maintained boarder.
2. Less government spending. More personal reasonability.
3. The Fair Tax would give you the transparency.
4. The troops home after the job is done. The Islamic Radicals must be stopped. The only way to do that is total victory. Iâ€™m not against diplomacy, but I donâ€™t see how you negotiate with people that the first thing they want is the destruction of the US.
5. A new political party. The ones we have need to go.
6. I do not want a government run health care system.
7. I do not want to stop abortion but I do not one dollar of tax money paying for it.
8. I want eminent domain to go away.

I want transparency to come back to OUR government.

I want no more tax money going to Halliburton, Bechtel or the Carlyle Group.

I want real planning for the eco-challenges coming.

I want diplomacy to come back into our national vocabulary.

I want border enforcement.
