Kolbe confronted Foley about improper emails in 2000.

Retiring Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) confronted Mark Foley in 2000 about his personal communications with pages. Kolbe had been informed of sexually explicit Internet messages from Foley that had made the youth feel uncomfortable with the direction Foley was taking their email relationship. “The revelation pushes back by at least five years the date when a member of Congress has acknowledged learning of Foley’s behavior with former pages.”

Of course, I’m sure that Kolbe was actiing as a Democratic operative being paid by Soros. After all, it’s always everyone else’s fault but the GOP’s.

  2. Daryll says:

Thanks, TP. This won’t hinder the GOP from winning the majority of the house, thank god.

  3. DSouth says:

Sure it’s the Dems fault. The Grand ol Pervs een tried to blame clinton for it. They also blamed Clinton and the Dems for the North Korea test even though they have been in power fo12 years since 1994 when they took the House. What did they do? It’s never the Pervs fault.

  4. Jay says:

Just think…the worse it gets…the better it gets. I haven’t read a novel as good as this fiasco in a long time!

    They’re eating each other!

  6. CatholicPriestsLoveLittleboys says:

    Daryll,

Even god can’t help your pathetic party now.

  7. Bruce+Gorton says:

    Daryll

The only question left is whether Americans will vote Democrat or Independent, after all of the shit the Republicans have pulled over the last six years, the Republican’s time in office is done.

  8. STyve says:

Isn’t Kolbe the Democrat on the Page board? The headline needs an edit, in case anyone has moderator responsibilities.

Bush is going down…on whom we will soon find out!!

    Sing it Susan!!

  9. pluky says:

Kolbe is the only openly gay republican in the house.

  10. S.D. says:

“CatholicPriestsLoveLittleboys”, (Horrible Name BTW) Don’t underestimate the power of the People to Jump when they hear “Boo!”.

Sadly, It would not surprise me in the slightest if this makes no difference on Election day.

  11. RealScientist says:

It is clear that 1/3 of Americans will continue to support Bush and the sick, corrupt GOP no matter what happens. If the GOP loses the House and Senate in November, as seems likely now, I expect many of these reality-challenged freaks to deny the legitimacy of the election (without factual basis, of course). How many of these people might be willing to support Bush if he claims power to nullify the elections?

  12. Pete_Bogs says:

2000? as in pre-W 2000? the repercussions of this cover-up are growing exponentially… to think, the last six years could have been avoided had this come out when it should have!!!

  13. Jay Randal says:

Kolbe was most likely doing the male Pages too, but he decided to retire at the end of this year, so cannot get kicked out of the House!

  14. Zooey says:

And Rep Kolbe, being the upstanding representative of the people he is, protected those pages by exposing Rep Foley’s predatory ways….

Huh? What? Oh, I was dreaming again…

  15. Styve says:

Sorry for the erroneous idea about Kolbe being a Democrat…I think the Democrat I was thinking of is Kildee…

  16. GOP BISEXUAL says:

    GOP GUYS LOVE COCK !!!
MOST LIKE IT IN THIER RECTOMS.

    Daryll,

    Catch!

The GOP already has a majority. Therefore they would want to MAINTAIN or KEEP the majority.

Now you can tell you right wing buddies that you caught a clue.

So much for the party who claimed to have a direct line to Jesus, eh?

So much for the party who claimed to hold the high moral and ethical ground, eh?

It’s a long fall from grace, but it’s happened. ReichWingNuts squandered EVERYTHING away. Incompetent Misleaders.

  20. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

33% of voters will be voting Republican. I just hope that Diebold will not be voting 51% Republican.

  21. Steve says:

I wonder if information will soon surface about Rep. Kolbe’s relationships with congressional pages.

Today’s Washington Post story reports very close relationships between Kolbe and pages.

  22. Dog_named_Boo says:

Foley uses his position of authority as a means to sexually exploit underage pages. No different than a teacher predating on his/her students.

Hastert also quit teaching when he was accused of improper realtions with male students, Hastert was a wrestling coach and history teacher.

  23. mr.ed says:

Everybody told somebody, but nobody followed up. That’s the part that will sink a bunch of them. They talk big and are expected to act accordingly.

  24. JPark says:

#19 Nobody ever accused Daryll of being intelligent. Come on, his name is Daryll.
