While this number does seem a little high it was conducted by reputable people so it cannot be dismissed out of hand as some would like.

The polls are all over the place on this race. One can only hope that the people in this state open their eyes and pull out a win for Ford.

But in a debate with Harold Ford this past weekend, Corker said he had never used the phrase “stay the course.”

When confronted with evidence he had, a member of his campaign admitted Corker had used the phrase, but said that he didn’t mean it as an explanation that the U.S. should maintain the status quo.

And that was it. Corker’s spokesperson didn’t bother to explain the real reason Corker used it.

Not a lot of difference, although this second seems to admit weakness.

I feel I am purchaing my one-way ticket to hell by comparing what is going on now with the Bible.

I am a believer in a higher power. I can’t see a bird fly or a crazy act of nature that doesn’t say to me, this is not an act of something unhuman.

At the same time, I think that to base your plan of action on absolute fear is insane. I am not afraid of God, I’m afraid of republicans. No, I won’t make a blanket statement. I am afraid of the Bush administration.
