1st, Ill preface this statement by saying,”this is a CTA household and noone here will vote for Ahnold. There is a campaign commerical running frequently in California showing video of Ahnold cheerleading Bush.
But, I have to admit the first thing that comes to mind is “Bush isn’t running for Governor in California. Angeleides is making noise about NBC giving him equal time, who he should be petitioning is California’s democratic leadership. For almost 2 weeks straight, There was Ahnold on the news surrounded by Democrats signing bills democrats favored. Ahnold signing minimum wage increase,Ahnold signing a bill against genocide, Ahnold with Antonio Villaraigosa , Ahnold with the Dali Lama . During this time, the only place Angelides was seen was walking backwards in Ahnolds ads. I am finally seeing some Angelides ads, they are pretty good upbeat commercials, not like the slime he threw at Westley. Its probably too late to save Phil, I have to question the Democrats, how they let this seat get away when Ahnolds approval ratings were in the tank and there is such a strong anti GOP backlash ?

Exley, you are right about the poll numbers for Bush. He’s President and won’t be running again. The Republican numbers are lower than his. As for Jurists, history proves that the party who put the judge in is not guaranteed a rubber stamp. Justice is justice at that level so your chest thumping for conservative judges doesn’t register with me.

The Military Commissions Act hasn’t been signed yet? Why is that? Quite possibly for the little issue about doing away with Habeus Corpus. Calm rational people on both sides of the political spectrum believe this won’t pass Supreme Judicial scrutiny so it’s not a law yet.

You really buy that crap about “fighting them over there so we don’t have to here”. He can’t even focus on the mastermind of 9/11. We can spend 100’s of billions of dollars in Iraq after it’s been proven not to be the holder of WMD’s or direct ties with AQ but we still can’t inspect more than 6% of the incoming cargo boxes into our ports. Why is that? Democrats wanted 100% inspection. The republicans said it was too costly. What’s the price of keeping us safe here? But we can still throw good money after bad into Iraq. That is this President and he has failed us.

Nov 7th is the chance to kick to the curb all who went along with him. Republican and Democrat.

This president has failed us and all who have blindly followed him has failed us.
