It’s her HUSBAND who ran for Congress as a “morals candidate” on the Republican ticket at the same time he was threatening his wife, drinking and watching porn in front of the kids, and trolling for threesomes on Craigslist!

He’s the one who should be targeted, not her.

She’s just bailing out of a marriage with an unemployed drunken loser Republican would-be congressman.

He thus joins the long list of Republican hypocrite sleazeballs, the best of whom might be that guy who ran for the Illinois senate a few years ago and is now serving about 16 years for soliciting sex from a minor and possession of kiddie-porn.

If following your idea, he could consisder as having moral values? He was chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children and introduced a bill in 2002 to outlaw web sites featuring sexually and saying that â€œthese websites are nothing more than a fix for pedophiles.â€. But he not perfect and fail as an old ped prevert. How about his anonymous priest who moslest him as he was teen. How evil they are.

Outspeak or pratice Christian doesn’t mean that you’re holier than me. Again, I can feel good if someone who has greater “aspirations” realize that GOD know our secrets,know human is weak and mistreat yourself not the way pleased Him.

What they are exposing is the baltent hypocracy shown by Sara’s husband and Tom Delay as it relates to the supposedly “superior moral values

If Tom Delay didnt open his big mouth and lobby Repubs to vote for Evans b/c she was a ‘good conservative’ this story would not have appeared to TP…

If Sara husband didnt run a PAC that strives to help promote Christian values in government this story would not have appeared on the site..

and for those people who are worried (?) that oh my gosh a left wing site is engaging in “behavior” that libs criticze the RW for…those people are compeltely off base….

We have a court document that states exactly what MS. Having moral values doesn’t mean that you are perfect, or don’t fail, it means that you aspire to something higher than mere hedonistic pursuits and self-obsessed policies of the Democrats. Again, the only way Dems can feel good about themselves is when someone who has greater aspirations stumbles.

If you really want to slam Sara, point out that in every recorded live performance she’s had, her singing has been very, very off key. They must work miracles with her in the studio, because I suspect that she is tone deaf.

If she is 35 and has been married for 13 years, she was 22 when her husband snatched her up. He had a number of years on her. She was probably naive and had no clue what she was doing. She probably stayed as long as she did because of her “family values” until it began to impact the children. The guy is a dirt bag and I’m glad she is getting away from him and protecting her children.

please don’t condescend to assume that everyone who finds this post offensive is a “troll” or a “rightie” I am neither but I find the post offensive because it somehow gives crededence and weight to criticisms levied against divorced people solely because they are divorced.

In fact, divorce is most rampantly high among religious hypocrytes claiming to be Christians but obviously practicing anything but Christian teachings.

Nevertheless, it’s no moral offense to be divorced. The article suggests that it is. Regardless of whether that was the intention of the author, I’m afraid that is the impression I got. The greatest illusion of communication is that it has been achieved.

Please understand that I’m not a Republican apologist. As a native of Houston I know of and loathe Tom DeLay. As a former resident of Oregon, I’m aware that Sara Evans’s husband ran for political office. But according to an item on the website of The Tennessean, Sara Evans’s husband verbally and physically abused her. It also appears he had a ‘thing’ for pornography. The whole story isn’t public yet, but it seems as though her Republican husband deserves the blame, not Sara Evans.
