We are in BIG TROUBLE when the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has such a disconnect from reality.
One must wonder just how many of these holy crusader-types the Bush administration has been jockeying into powerful military positions. What happens when a Democratic president takes office and makes decisions they don’t like, a military coup?

1. It is sad when religion and power mixed together produce men and governments that are unable to see themselves and the effects of their policies objectively.

2. Gen. Peter Pace may sincerely believe that “He (Mr. Rumsfeld) leads in a way that the good Lord tells him is best for our country.” Okay that’s fine. He is free to voice his opinion. However, what the nation needs in these testing times is for men such as the JCS Chairman (Gen. Pace) to pluck up some courage, salute the flag and do what is right for the country, NOT defend one man’s leadership and reputation.

3. The good Lord may be telling Mr. Rumsfeld what is best for America but he also said “My words will be your judge”. Here are some of those words that are written: “What you sow, that you shall reap”. And – “a tree is known by the fruit it bears”. Also – “your sins will find you out”. I’m sorry to say that in daring to use God, the President and his men will be brought low.

I do believe that God does “talk” to us, through our conscience. Since they couldn’t muster a whole conscience between them, BushCo can’t hear God. They don’t follow the principles put forth in the Bible, at least those God advocates.

People with impulse control difficulties have problems processing negating words. If a child with ADHD is told “don’t run”, they tend to hear the action, “run”, and not the qualifying negating word, “don’t” so they run. Maybe BushCo comprehends the Ten Commandments this way – “thou shalt kill”, “thou shalt steal”, “thou shalt bear false witness against thy neighbor”.

If these men were really following God’s instructions then our country wouldn’t be in the mess it’s in right now. In the Bible, when God’s people follow his instructions they are victorious against their enemies and enjoy peace and prosperity.

These men are false prophets, using religion to line their pockets at the expense of the poor. They are not patriots, they are not following Christ and they without a doubt the worst administration in our country’s history.
