We have very little understanding about the world....scientific theorys will be proven wrong when we learn more and then we will make new ones.

Many people interpret the bible the wrong way, if you look at one part in too much detail you are missing the point of the bible. why spend your life trying to disprove it? because we cannot prove/disprove it as much as we cannot prove/disprove theorys... You need to believe what you are doing it true and right.

adam and eve could have evolved from mud for all we know, god could of created evolution. it would therefore be right to say god created adam and eve!

if there is no god why are we here? why would we exist? these questions are outside the scope of our minds, so we better ask god.

I've been sitting here (in our flat in Bristol UK)reading your comments about the pros and cons of religion, Darwin, Chucky Norris, etcetera and etcetera, for the last two hours (it is now 7.20 am friday 26th January) and you've all given me a good laugh. For that I thank you, It really was quite addictive. I'm pleased to say that creationism is given no credence in England (at least none that I know of).

I find it so interesting that it's human nature to get so upset when there's talk about a Creator. did you know that it actually takes more faith to believe in the theory of evolution than to believe in creation? did you know that the more scientists research the earth they are determining more and more that there had to have been an Originator-- a Creator-- a Beginning. (God) --check out Stephen Hawking's book -- Or have you just recited what you hear others who are afriad to believe they might not be the product of chance? as if that were a bad thing. well, i'm sure chuck norris isn't hurt by what you say about his faith--and neither will I be hurt by whatever comments you type after my submission. well, maybe he might hurt -- hurt that you haven't yet found purpose in life like he has -- like I have --like so many have throughout history -- in the one who not only created time -- but knows the most fulfilling way to spend time. and has a greater purpose in life for you than you could ever dream. after all, that is why He sent His Son just for you 2,000 years ago. Maybe you might want to do a little more research?

I don't care what you think about Chuck Norris. I don't know the man personally. I've heard he's a Christian and I know his show Texas Walker Ranger was cancelled because he went out on a limb for God and had an episode portraying people being delivered from the seductive power of sex, alchohol and drugs. I respect him for that. But anyone who looks at him and uses his mistakes as an excuse not to follow Jesus is nothing but a coward who isn't brave enough to walk with and live for the Lord. Just remember that our soul is in our own keeping and what we do with it is our choice along with the consequences. When we stand before God on the Day of the Lord, the period of mercy and grace He's given the world will be over and the unbelievers, mockers and scoffers will all have to give an account for their lives.

I can't believe how many people there is that doesn't believe in God, nor in His son, Jesus Christ. Don't you know that your salvation from Hell depends on your belief in Jesus Christ? Think of it this way, if there is no God, or no Jesus, no salvation or no Hell, then you nor I have anything to worry about after death. But what if I'm right and there is a God, and His Son is Jesus Christ and you have to be saved and born again by believing in Him and therefore you are saved from Hell, if I'm right, I have nothing to worry about because I'm saved, but you have everything to worry about because you're going to bust Hell wide open after death. Said simply, if you're right, nobody has anything to lose, but if I'm right, you've got everything to lose. Please think about it, what could it hurt if you found what you've been looking for all of your life? The truth!!

Two things:
General Theory of Evolution
1) Natural Selection is only a FILTER! and was actually first formulated by a chemist/zoologist Edward Blyth (1810—1873) also a creationist.
2) Genetics: If evolution were true, we would see the addition of new genetic information which previously did not exist. Current genetic research shows recombination and mutations are the problem not the solution.
3) ...

So let's see, we observe Natural Selection, a filter. We observe mutations and recombinations which degrade and weaken the existing DNA. There is no other observable force or mechanism available to add or change the organism.

The reality is that there is a lot of proof for evolution. The fact that you refuse to accept it means nothing.

You still have not shown evidence or proof.
Just name calling which is typical from progressive.
Quit the name calling and bible stuff.
Put the scientific proof right here and now.
You cannot because there is none.
Do not be afraid of the truth admit it.

One of my absolute favorite quotes:

“In science it often happens that scientists say, ‘You know that’s a really good argument; my position is mistaken,’ and then they actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn’t happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion.”
- Astronomer Carl Sagan - 1987

No link ape to man evolution - no species transition to new species fossil evidence

Nada

Admit it even though it is painful.

Quit bringing up the bible stuff.

This explains the Desperate Housewives craze. One show I am proud to say I have never watched.

Go to www.dictionary.com and look up the words 'opinion' and 'fact'.

Your comment is the first, and bears none of the latter.

and yet have never actually read the Bible as anything more then a collection of quotes.

Funny isn't it... They know about the Bible, but nothing more.

Well as they say, the best argument against Christianity as a religion is the Bible itself (which is probably why no one wants them reading it, just what they are told about it )

Gotta admit, it's a hell of a way to manipulate people...

More people believe in the Virgin Birth than evolution

Joseph: Hey Mary, go easy on the falafels, you'll not fit into your wedding gown

Mary: Er Joe, we need to talk, I'm going to have a baby

Joseph: &^*&%*^$&^(& !!! Who raped you, I'll kill him.

Mary: Actually Joe, it wasn't rape, a holy angel descended out of heaven and told me I would bear a child as a Virgin (even though the original word in Aramaic/Hebrew means 'maid' or 'young girl' but by the time someone writes it as Greek, I'll be a virgin).

Joseph: So, you were willingly impregnated in the middle of the night by a dude with wings and shiny clothes?

Mary: That's right, my love.

Joseph: Oh that's OKthen, why didn't you say so to begin with? Pass the mint sauce, please.

This is so funny, I don't where to begin. It is clear that he has not kept up with the information that the scientific community has produced concerning evolution and the emergence of modern humanity. But it is hardly surprising. About a third of American believe that the fossils of dinosaurs were put in the ground by human hands. In addition, only 12 percent of Americans believe that evolution emerged without any assistance from divine impetus. More people believe in the Virgin Birth than evolution. Furthermore, of all the Western countries and Japan, only Turkey has a smaller percentage of people who believe in evolution than the US. And people wonder why US schools are falling further behind their European peers in math and science.
