On Monday, Rush Limbaugh accused actor Michael J. Fox of “exaggerating the effects” of Parkinson’s disease in advertisements supporting stem cell research. “He’s moving all around and shaking and it’s purely an act,” Limbaugh said.
This morning, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade continued the attack, implying that Michael J. Fox may have been acting because he “looked great” on “Boston Legal” — the ABC show in which Fox guest-starred. “I mean,” Kilmeade added, “I know they cut it different and edit it different, but he looked fantastic.” Watch it:
Transcript:
MANCOW: Hey guys, what you think about this Michael J. Fox thing? I mean, you can’t win. You can’t win attacking that guy. It’s like Cindy Sheehan, her son died. I hate this stuff. You can’t win. Michael J. Fox on TV, he wins. Don’t you agree?
GRETCHEN: Yeah, you know. It’s so tough to watch that commercial and I just think you’re better off not touching the whole thing.
BRIAN: But, that’s an easy way out. You’re talking about – you’re talking about stem cell research. That’s a heated debate, it’s an intellectual debate. And I also think that Michael J. Fox —
MANCOW: You don’t have to vote for his candidate.
BRIAN: Right. Michael J. Fox on “Boston Common” (sic) looked great. I mean, I know they cut it different and edit it different, but he looked fantastic.
MANCOW: I talked to William Shatner about it —
GRETCHEN: Yeah, but there’s no doubt he’s seriously ill.
MANCOW: You’re talking about “Boston Legal,” he was fine.
BRIAN: “Boston Legal,” yeah.
Michael J FOx already slapped Lush Rimjob down over this, I am sure he and the Parkinsons Foundation will take care of this bozo also.
October 25th, 2006 at 2:57 pmScum of the earth – vicious, arrogant, totally unable to empathize with another human being. It drives me crazy when folks who have had their way paved, who have never had to struggle, or never run into one of life’s big roadblocks pretrend to know what they are talking about.
October 25th, 2006 at 2:58 pmThese people have the combined IQ of lumber.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:00 pmThey have no shame but the talking point has already been internalized by the winger faithful.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:00 pmI don’t know, SpudgeBoy, apparently Limpy’s ‘apology’ wasn’t public enough if others are spouting the same crap. They’re all going to keep up with the talking points until they’re overwhelmingly shouted down.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:01 pmIt’s obvious that Fox and the MSM, including ABC now just choose what to run with it, regardless of the truth, and promote it. It’s a business decision, it’s selling product, in this case to help the government with is in bed with the MSM. Again ,….and again….and again. Truth is no longer in the equation for media game plans. People need to not only oust Bush, but the corporate shadaw government….which includes the main stream media. It needs to be directly challenged by a mass momvement…..or welcome to 1984
October 25th, 2006 at 3:02 pmThese idiots have no concept of good days & bad days when dealing with chronic illness.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:03 pmJaneESchneider,
At least Michael J Fox has the balls to hit these people back. Unlike our Democratic representatives who just sit there and take it.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:04 pmThe so called journalist at Fox News are nothing more than overpaid Republicans progandist who clearly claim to love America, but who hate Americans who disagree with them. I couldn’t look myself if the mirror if I worked for Fox. I can understand being a Republicans, but telling flat out lies is another thing althought. I used to respect Brit Hume when he worked for ABC News during the Reagan adminstration, but now I can’t stand him.
He and the other idiots and yes I mean idiots at Fox make me sick to my stomach. Rupard Murdock is a anti-American fool who want to control what people think. He is clear a dangerous man and should be barred to owning a new outlet. Now his cronnies have stooped to the level of criticizing a disabled person for political purposes. Shame, Shame, Murdock, Limpbaugh, and Fox News.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:04 pmThey’ll do anything to change the subject from the fact that the GOP position on stem cell research is at odds with the majority of Americans.
We have a young, well-known person like Fox speaking out on the issue and it just scares the shi*t out of them!
October 25th, 2006 at 3:05 pmMJ Fox wishes Fox News was right, I’ll bet.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:05 pmYeah, because when you have a degenerative disease, a story or snapshot from a year ago really proves a lot. Thus proving there is no lie so big, no smear so reprehensible that it won’t be used by the Republican’s, picked up by Fox, and probably end up being “common knowledge” to the right.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:06 pm“You can’t win”??? How about trying with facts (or even opinions) rather than character assassination? Compassionate conservatism my…
October 25th, 2006 at 3:06 pmAnd this is the problem with Rush’s “shout accusations first, whisper backhanded apologies later” method of entertainment. Everyone hears the accusation and some choose to run with it regardless of what is later found out.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:06 pm#8, Spudge, you’re right, and I hope Michael smacks them down “real good!” Why don’t our Dem reps have any balls?
October 25th, 2006 at 3:09 pm“Now people are telling me they have seen Michael J. Fox in interviews and he does appear the same way in the interviews as he does in this commercial,†Limbaugh said, according to a transcript on his Web site. “All right then, I stand corrected. . . . So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act.â€
- from the Washington Post
I say again, this IS NOT AN APOLOGY!
October 25th, 2006 at 3:14 pmThese people have the combined IQ of lumber.
Comment by Badmoodman
Are you sure it is that high?
October 25th, 2006 at 3:16 pmpowkat said it best.
scum of the earth.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:16 pm#16…. You are right…. the key to his statement is “. . . if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior. . . . ” BUT, he doesn’t admit to being wrong. He is saying, “You have to prove me wrong.”
October 25th, 2006 at 3:17 pmBilly O and Rush L’s Karma will now certainly include an onset of early Alzheimers, coupled with cancerous hemmrhoids.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:17 pmOh, by the way, ManCow is a great description for it.
This says a lot about the types of people involved:
MANCOW: Hey guys, what you think about this Michael J. Fox thing? I mean, you can’t win. You can’t win attacking that guy. It’s like Cindy Sheehan, her son died. I hate this stuff. You can’t win. Michael J. Fox on TV, he wins. Don’t you agree?
So it’s Fox’s and Sheehan’s fault for not being attackable enough? That’s what they have a problem with? Just pass your notes to Coulter, she won’t have a problem saying it if it will sell one more book.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:20 pmIt makes you wonder if Sheehan and Fox really are Democrats! They’re so hard to attack!
October 25th, 2006 at 3:23 pmMancow is an idiot. Now, if I’m wrong and his SAT scores show he is a genius, then I’ll retract that. But until proven otherwise, he is a moron.
See that’s the new paradigm. Attack first, lam apology later. By the time you end up apologizing, Americans with short attentions spans have turned the page to find out who J Lo was seen with. They never hear that the attacker was lying and knew it when the attack was made!
October 25th, 2006 at 3:23 pm” . . . he looked fantastic.” This guy seems a little too enthusiastic about Michael J. Fox’s looks. Methinks he spent too much time in his youth fantasizing about running off to an island with Alex P. Keaton.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:23 pmWhy does lumber hate America?
October 25th, 2006 at 3:25 pmWhat a disgusting attempt to distract from the true issue.
The only way the conservative media would be right is if stem cells had been used and a cure discovered… These idiot seem to think Parkinson’s is like a broken leg – it is or isn’t.
Of course, debating complexity and shades of grey have never appeared to be strong points of the neo-con-right-rebubs…
October 25th, 2006 at 3:32 pmDear lord, but that F&F program is just devoid of anything even remotely resembling human decency.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:35 pmAmerica’s Least Wanted
Mancow, about 12 years ago when I was dating my future wife near Chicago , tried to break into the shock jock market in Chicago. He really wasn’t that funny, did too many “made up” stories, and overall his ratings dropped as Howard Sterns increased.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:40 pmRecently, we are unlucky enough to hear him in SouthWest Michigan. I tuned in once just to see what’s up. Guess what? He sucked. He is now doing the ultra right political anger crap, with attempted overtones of comedy. It’s bad. I mean really bad.
But hey, he did attack Rush Limbaugh with a Stones “Mothers Little Helper” bit.
Those, are no friends of Fox.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:41 pmThe epidemic lack of morality in politics, MSM and just about everywhere you look makes me sick.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:46 pmRight-wingers have no sense of humor. A sense of humor requires nuance.
They ain’t got any of that over there on that side.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:48 pmBruce+Gorton @29
I get it!
October 25th, 2006 at 3:49 pmBegin parody now…
BRIAN: Right. Brandon Lee on “The Raven†(sic) looked great. I mean, I know they cut it different and edit it different, but he looked fantastic.
MANCOW: I talked to William Shatner about it —
GRETCHEN: Yeah, but there’s no doubt he’s seriously deceased.
MANCOW: You’re talking about “The Crow,†he was fine.
BRIAN: “The Crow,†yeah.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:51 pma caller to randi – paraphrasing:
talk to rush’s ex-wife and find out how good he is at knowing when someone is faking it…
October 25th, 2006 at 3:51 pmheh…
I’m surprised Fox employees can even bare to watch Boston Legal, the show is full of liberal comments and statements.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:52 pmOur goverment can promote lies and deceipt and get away with it. But it refuses to except facts of science to advance the good health of its citizens.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:53 pmThese creeps need to be removed from goverment and the media needs to be taken down a zillion pegs to just begin correcting the wrongs that they have committed to We The People.
Those 4 retards discussing what they would call and intellectual debate, priceless.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:55 pmI didn’t know MANCOW was now a political pundit. He fits in just fine as a right-winged-nut-talking-head.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:56 pmMancow has always been a Howard Stern wanna be, he just didn’t have the charisma to do so. Charisma and Howard Stern, never thought I would you those words together.
The rest of them are just mean-spirited.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:57 pmThis is why the current conservative movement is completely morally bankcrupt. Its more important that our side win the argument then actually be right. Here is the deal, someone who is directly affected by the issue, has more credibility then some asshat radio talk show host. You know though if instead of character assassination they actually used intelegent debate, the whole issue of we can’t argue with a victim would be a non-starter.
This would be equivlent of a holocaust denier complaining about someone who survived the holocaust winning the argument because they were a victim. When your views are just batshait wrong, your not supposed to win the argument.
October 25th, 2006 at 3:58 pmFOX on Fox
smart as box of rocks
dishing crocks
of smelly lox
on whom I wish a pox
October 25th, 2006 at 3:58 pmLarry King mentioned this last night. He worked with Fox on at least one of the Boston Legal episodes. He said it took many, many takes and much editing to get the performance that was shown on TV.
I hope David E. Kelly, with Fox’s approval, releases some of the takes, so everyone can see for themselves how low conservatives will stoop to con voters in to voting for Republicans.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:01 pmSeriously, is Fox and Friends a real show? These people are unbelievable.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:04 pmYou know, if you insert an ice pick in the base of Brian Kilmeade’s brain, he’ll be able to find out for himself what the symptoms of Parkinson’s are like.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:07 pm.
Who’s job is it to watch Fox and catch these things?
This should be on that “Dirty Jobs” show on the Discovery Channel. (Thanks, whoever you are.)
October 25th, 2006 at 4:11 pmJune @45
I’d rather collect garbage!
October 25th, 2006 at 4:13 pmIt’s obvious that Fox and the MSM, including ABC now just choose what to run with it, regardless of the truth, and promote it.
Comment by s — October 25, 2006 @ 3:02 pm
I agree with you and so in the end our democracy really has no value. If one party can control our air waves we are really, really in poor shape. We have seen what it’s produced,a corrupt congress and intelligently ineffectual nitwit for President.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:15 pmHow can one party virtually have 2 TV Networks(ABC & FOX) parroting their talking points in a Democracy ?It’s almost a semi-dictatorship.
I don’t think the majority of Americans are smart enough to realize that they are being sold BS.
The funniest part of all of this is the character that Michael J Fox played on Family Ties thought Richard Nixon was the greatest president (even had pictures of him). He was the 1980s version of our regular trolls. I can remember watching the show back then and going “WTF is he thinking?” Fifteen years from now, our regular trolls will be talking about how great George W Bush was as a president and the majority of american will be saying “WTF is he thinking?” I’ll bet our trolls have pictures of Bush.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:20 pmWhy do these scumbags think that how much someone should or shouldn’t shake due to Parkinsons is a legitimate debate? Do they go out in public and do this to people on the street? Do they go to hospitals to make sure that all patients with diseases meet their standards? This is unbelievable!!
October 25th, 2006 at 4:23 pmI intend to listen to Rush Limbaugh, as well as all the other programming on my local right wing talk radio station, for the purpose of listening to the commercials.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:25 pmEach advertiser will then be given a notice, from me, that I will not use or purchase their product, until they cease supporting this creep!!
Funny stuff guys, now I know why all you Dems/Libs can’t win an election. Grow up!
October 25th, 2006 at 4:25 pmWhat was it?…over 600,000 dead Iraqis so far?
THIS is important debate on Fox?
Blow it out your ass, Fox.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:31 pmLMAO
Now I know your an idiot.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:33 pmTroll
October 25th, 2006 at 4:34 pmYou boys have a sharp wit too. Can’t win elections, but you have that sharp wit. Fair trade off I guess.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:43 pmLMAO, It’s not a joke, not at all.
You’re an idiot.
There’s nothing funny about it.
October 25th, 2006 at 4:48 pmThis is proof that Fox is the national republican disinformation network, they will smear anyone who does not tow the republican talking point line.
That they are trying to Michael for his disease is dispicable, these RePIGlicans are the lowest scum on earth.
Fox seems to hit a new low, every day.
We need to see about congress pulling their licence after the Democrats take over. Possibly looking at all the networks and see if they are serving the PUBLIC interest instead of Corporate/neocon/fascist/RePIGlican interests.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:02 pmLMAO: Whistler, meet the graveyard.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:14 pmThese people have the combined IQ of lumber.
Are you sure it is that high?
Let’s see… 2 x 4 = 8
IQ of 8 seems about right.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:18 pmFor them, it’s win at any cost. That includes accusing a Parkinson’s sufferer of faking his symptoms. Instead of actually arguing the merits of the debate, they stoop to this level. They think their constituents are too stupid to think beyond black and white. That’s how we’re different and why we often lose. We’re not willing to sell our souls like they do. God I hate what they’ve brought us to.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:19 pmDear Rush,
October 25th, 2006 at 5:27 pmMichael Fox takes drugs to stay alive. You take drugs for fun and to get an erection. You should be in jail.
Contemptfully,
Solitaire
This disease should get just as much publicity as cancer, heart attacks, MS and strokes (to mention just a few). So why didn’t Limbaugh make a stupid public comment about bald women publicized for Breast Cancer month? … or make jokes about Melissa Etheridge or Sheryl Crow …. Where was Limbaugh discerning comments during Jerry Lewis’ telethon – I am sure Mr. Limbaugh could have indicated which of those kids were faking MS? The initial stem cell research has hope for PD as well as many, many other existing diseases that are still incurable.
My husband has this disease and I know that the tremors are uncontrollable and some times more visible than other times. Poorly directed discussions on whether MJFoxx took his medication in a timely manner should not be the issue. The bottom line; Limbaugh is an idiot and Stem Cell Research should continue!
October 25th, 2006 at 5:27 pmIt just makes me sad that people are so unimformed about this disease. I am 37 and was diagnosed 2 year ago. Everyday is different. I never know what body I’ll have when I get up in the morning. What you don’t know is those “uncontrollable movements” are a side effect of the medication that MJF needs to take to be able to move at all.
You have every right to be critical of what he is saying, that’s our right as American’s. Why do you need to attack his disease when you know nothing about it. Educate yourselves, please. It doesn’t do anyone any good to say he was “faking it”. What he did on Boston Legal, THAT was acting. And if you really watch it, you can see the movement. With the help of great camera angles and quick cut aways it make him look better than he seems.
I’ve seen him twice in the past two years at the Unity Walk in NYC in April. I can attest that he does move like that. Please just research the disease before you comment on it.
Thank you,
October 25th, 2006 at 5:45 pmLimbaugh isn’t against stem cell research! He’s against the left wing’s obvious exploitation of people with diseases. Stem cell research IS legal in several states. The use of Fox to slam down a senator from Missouri who is against a bill that promotes CLONING, but is worded to sound like a stem cell research initiative, is pure liberal politics at its best! (And apparently, by the looks of the comments here, it’s working.) Fox would do well to get a tad more informed before he allows his plight to be used by the libs. But I’d be willing to bet he does know about the slight of hand going on. As long as his foundation gets the cash it needs, it doesn’t matter if it is done by dishonest means, right?
It’s time to get educated folks. The libs will wheel up to the microphone any unfortunate person they can find to further their agenda. But those of us who see through it are called mean spirited bigots.
Call me mean. At least I’m not stupid.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:48 pmHave several ways to express your opposite opinions, but Limbaugh chose the un-educated, idiot, lie and inhuman way. Shame on you.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:54 pmI see Lynn is trotting out the “Libs are exploiting this person’s suffering” line. Didn’t work the last two times, won’t work now. This was Fox’s idea, not the work of some shadowy liberal think tank. Get your facts straight instead of just parroting what you read on the right wing sites.
October 25th, 2006 at 5:55 pmGet your facts straight boys and girls. Embryonic stem cell research has nothing to do with helping people, it’s all about putting FEDERAL money in the pockets of private bio-tech industries in Missouri. Embryonic stem cell research has produced nothing in the last twenty years. Nothing! Ol’ MJ didn’t take his meds so he could make everyone feel sorry for him and promote the poisions liberal agenda. Even my seven year old kid could figure that one out. Again, grow up . . . . . please!
October 25th, 2006 at 5:56 pmWrong, troll. Opposing stem cell research is all about keeping it private so big pharma doesn’t have to share the results with mankind. It has nothing to do with “saving babies,” everything to do with protecting a very sacred potential cash cow for the corporations.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:02 pmNazi liked throw unfortunate ppl into Gas Chambers, rather spent money for them. Was it their so-called Nazi “Family Value”?
October 25th, 2006 at 6:05 pmThe question is…why? Could they have chosen a better way to look like total a**holes?
October 25th, 2006 at 6:11 pmQuite the opposite toonface. In the event that someone is successful with a pharmaceutical resulting from “embryonic” (you keep conveniently leaving that word out) stem-cell research, it will be much easier to patent because the “donor” has been terminated.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:14 pmI HAVE VOICE IMMODULATION SICKNESS. I HAVE TROUBLE CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE.-man cow
October 25th, 2006 at 6:18 pmEmbryos, flush’em down the shitter, or actually put them to some use…hmmm
October 25th, 2006 at 6:20 pmI gather that you prefer to have the blastocysts incinerated instead of used in medical research.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:23 pmWho me? No, I prefer them be put to good use.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:36 pmMichael J Fox has more class than all of them put together (witness his response to them, on the other thread). And he’s a real family man, unlike Limpbaugh and other mouthpieces of the “family values” party.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:44 pm#3 Badmoodman: I’m sorry to disagree with you. They have the combined IQ of absolute zero. The complete absence of any value. Total nothingness. Lumber, on the other hand, has considerably more credibility in my opinion.
October 25th, 2006 at 6:45 pmTwo words for our dear troll, Lynn:
Terri Schiavo
October 25th, 2006 at 7:01 pmLimpdick is a cowardly chickenhawk with NO balls. he copped a draft deferment for a cyst on his ass. As a medic in the service during Vietnam, a personally changed the bandages of GIs with that same exact affliction. Limpdick is a fat-ass sorry lump of shit.
October 25th, 2006 at 7:05 pm#64 Sorry, Lynn, but I have to disagree.
Who do you think would make a better person to enlist to help educate people about a disease? Someone who has never had the disease? Or someone who has it, and who also has experience at public speaking and working in front of a camera?
You make it sound like Michael J. Fox is being forced to do this against his will. He’s not being exploited by the left. If anything, he’s exploiting them by using them to raise awareness and money for his cause.
October 25th, 2006 at 7:10 pm#79 That’s right, Uncle Ho. Rush has the same congenital condition that his father had, but it apparently didn’t stop his father from fighting in WWII.
October 25th, 2006 at 7:12 pmWow, how revealing is that. One should never “win” by “attacking that guy” or anyone else in an, one should argue within the terms of the debate, with facts, figures, morality and beliefs, not with ad hominem smears.
October 25th, 2006 at 7:26 pmYou beat me to it
And we all remember just what the overwhelming majority of the US public thought of that stunt, they smacked around the US Taliban wannabes/sympathizers then sent them to bed without any supper
October 25th, 2006 at 7:34 pmanything to not talk about stem cell research….its all so creepily calculated
October 25th, 2006 at 7:49 pmObviously there are few if any scientists in this discussion regarding stem cell research. Stem cell research is continuing full speed as we debate. The only thing that Chimpus did was prevent FEDERAL monies from being spent on embryonic stem cell research. There are plenty of private foundations pouring money into these projects in the US and over seas.
All you uneducated morons that argue against science and research, I’m sure that you will turn down therapuetic applications that will be discovered. Just remember to say, no my principals are in the way, please don’t give me treatment that will save my life. Otherwise, I believe the term that fits is hypocrit. Then put your fist in your mouth and bit, it will help the pain.
October 25th, 2006 at 7:53 pmGosh, it’s just not fair. You really have a hard time attacking a guy who is dying before your very eyes…
October 25th, 2006 at 7:57 pmI was fortunate enough to once see Michael J. Fox speak about his life at Marble Collegiate Church. He was very straightforward and answered many questions from the Audience.
If anyone thinks he’s “acting” they need to get a clue. People disagreeing with a private citizen expressing his opinion is one thing, but these personal attacks from the Radical Right is another thing all together.
As evidenced above, Someone disagrees and they are labeled dishonest and imply it’s just about the Cash? Disagree and label them as just”pure liberal politics at its best”?
Please….
October 25th, 2006 at 8:31 pmCall me mean. At least I’m not stupid.
Comment by Lynn
OK, “you’re mean” but you’re also stupid. Rush caring about exploitation of someone?? LOL Cloning? LOL Fox should get more well informed – OK, only if you mean FOX Broadcasting. ROTFL
October 25th, 2006 at 9:31 pmI love the look of the “hole” in the center. She always looks like she’s trying to catch flys in her open mouth.
October 25th, 2006 at 10:15 pmI need to take a Doocey. Please excuse me.
October 25th, 2006 at 10:30 pmThe usual wingnut trolls here are sickening in their non-thinking defense of Limbaugh (and now the other ashats at FOX). It’s too bad they don’t spend their energy thinking about helping people instead of defending liars. I feel sorry for them. What a waste of DNA — far more than any stem cell research.
October 26th, 2006 at 12:07 amFox has had a lot of crazy guests on thier shows, but a radio DJ named Mancow?! How can any viewer take his political opinions seriously? His name is MANCOW.
October 26th, 2006 at 12:46 amOkay, okay, okay, let me make sure I am understanding everything here. Based on watching the commercial, they have decided that MJF MUST be ‘acting’, because when they watched MJF on “Boston Legal”, it was clear to them that he was “fine”, and he “looked great.” Do I have that right? Now, THAT is funny. Damn….
October 26th, 2006 at 1:11 amI think Mancow and Fox & Friends bring up a some really good points. Why are people’s comments so angry? They make personal attacks just like child does when they run of of ideas.
October 26th, 2006 at 7:27 amThese propagandists at Fox News claim to be “fair and balanced”. They have shown to be anything but.
October 26th, 2006 at 10:41 amlimbaugh is a buffoon, noted for his slanted views on anything opposing the truth.
October 26th, 2006 at 11:53 amDidn’t Mancow loose his job? Q101 ditched him because no one listened to him. Nice to see nothing has changed for him.
October 26th, 2006 at 12:31 pmYeah, pete, ol’ Limbaugh’s like that with libs that oppose the truth.
October 26th, 2006 at 2:02 pmAgree with Rob’s comment. Time to hold the sponsers of the shows responsible. Boycott advertisers and let them know why. Let the station managers know also. Why do they alienate 80 percent of their potential audience with republican dreck?
October 26th, 2006 at 2:32 pmMancow did get fired but only because he got too big. They wanted a Chicago only show. Q101’s ratings dropped like a rock when he left. Fact.
October 26th, 2006 at 3:34 pm#64 you get called a mean-spirited bigot because you are a mean-spirited bigot. to show that i’m bipartisan in my critique, i’ll borrow a line from the VP, and invite you to go f**k yourself, K?
October 26th, 2006 at 3:44 pmFox and Friends is the most out of touch shows i’ve ever seen. when i was in Baghdad, i had to watch that Fing show everyday for a year because i was surrounded by right wingers. no one with any intelligence or real educated opinion is ever on that show. it’s the biggest waste of anyone’s time EVER. and i wish Mancow would get the hell out of my city.
i had a lot to say about Rush until i read all the comments. you all have summed up my thoughts collectively. how can people be fooled so easily and let themselves be educated by a windbag like Rush Limbaugh? i think i’d follow David Koresh before i believed anything that drug addict said. attacking MJF for fighting to gain a little hope and possibly be one step closer to a cure for a horrible disease…. and all because he has so much hate for the left.

October 27th, 2006 at 9:51 amrofl haha. thats funny. Michael J. Fox is clearly acting people will do anything for money. lol
October 30th, 2006 at 9:04 amRush Limbaugh’s accusing Michael J. Fox of faking shouldn’t surprise anyone. To him, Barack Obama is “Obama Osama.” Independent women are “Feminazis.†Democrats are responsible for the Foley disgrace. He talks about “… stupid and unskilled Mexicans†and said that American soldiers at Abu Ghraib were just “… having a good time.â€
What is shameful is the fawning manner in which Republicans, President Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney, and George Allen appear on Limbaugh’s radio program and treat him with deference. “Thank you, Rush. It’s an honor to talk to you.â€
Democrats acting the same way should be criticized, too. As a nation, we don’t all have to pull in the same direction, but we should be civil to each other and our leaders shouldn’t pander to bigots who play fast and loose with the facts.
October 31st, 2006 at 6:03 amYou have to consider the source when it comes to Fox and friends. Nothing but a butch of republician butt kissing morons who lie and couldn’t get a story correct if their lives depended on it. Look what you have, Steve Douchbag who thinks he is some great stud. Gretchen, the back water mutant monkey girl who looks like she hasn’t had a decent bowel movement in weeks, and last but not least Brian Kilmead who acts like a closet gay just bursting to come out. Yep, they sure hold a lot of credit. They talk about fair and balance news? When? Where? The few times I have watched it it was so tainted to the right it wasn’t funny. So why should anyone be shocked they attacked Michael J Fox. Thats pretty typical of republicians. All they know how to do is attack. Probably explains why people are getting sick and tired of them.
November 1st, 2006 at 7:41 amI’m disabled — was more than offended by the attacks on Fox… Been suffering from that sort of bias for years.
Took a while (too long?), but finally got a halfway decent video posted about the ruthless attacks on Fox.

November 3rd, 2006 at 5:25 pmI am amazed at the rhetoric.
November 13th, 2006 at 6:25 amI wish just once I could read a dems response and have it make sense, It seems that attack is the only avenue they choose from the leaders down to the sheep that follow their rhetoric.
