Lauer is an excellent example of how the mainstream media has been co-opted by the right. MSM folks have bought into this idea that what they say, no matter how nasty, is legitimate. So, Matt Lauer, because “a lot of people” are incensed by the idea of a black man with a white woman, does that make the racist anti-Ford ads in Tennessee OK?
I have always considered Lauer less than a deep thinker, but this air-brained comment is downright ridiculous. I doubt I will ever watch “Today” again.

Moreover, Dems seemed a lot more motivated in 2002 and 2004 than they do this year. Both times, you were going to “get even” or “correct the mistake” made in 2000. Nowadays, you don’t seem to be believing your own hype, and you don’t seem nearly so confident.

I believe that you sense your efforts have only helped reinforce the existing power structure, and hurt your own cause, and that your votes are more daggers into your own movement, yet your are marching methodically towards this fate. I would love to see your faces as you enter those voting booths, know that you are helping Schumer and Emanuel, and not yourselves.

I sure as hell didn’t think he was acting and sure as hell don’t think like Rush Limbaugh.

My wife goes bonkers over people like Rush who say outlandish things and I must repeat that these outlandish acts are how they develop an audience and keep that audience. Rush is an actor, one that is good at doing bad things.
