“Tom DeLay stepped down from Congress. He said he wants to spend more time in prison. Yesterday he quoted Martin Luther King, ‘free at last, free at last.’ I think it’s great that Tom is so into the black experience, because in prison he’s going to be experiencing a lot of it.” –Bill Maher

It’s funny what topics are on the site tonight.

Will Steve be correcting his error? We’ll see…
I hope he does come back and correct it, because I’d love to see the Republicans get stuck talking about Vietnam…er…I mean Iraq for the rest of the campaign. I guarantee you it’s not a topic the GOP wants to be talking about.
I believe him. How can you have any ethical proplems if you have no ethics. That’s like Cheney saying “My conscience is clear.” Yep.. you gotta have one for it to get troubled.
DeLay also hasn’t had an education – double negatives anyone? “I hadn’t had NO ethical problems”. He’s not only a liar & a criminal – he’s totally illiterate, too. How did someone as slimey as this man ever get into high political office? Where the people asleep at the ballot box?
Once again, you refuse to discuss the hottest issue of the day – John Kerry!
Dems all over the country are cancelling John Kerry’s scheduled appearances, because his true self is exposed. He calls Vietnam vets rapists and murderers, throws his service medals over the white house fence, calls todays service members terrorists and now tries to DENY that he doesn’t think today’s service members are stupid?
Kerry called it like he saw’em. Bush is a moron and his administration is not only corrupt, but incompetent. BUSH implied Kerry said that about the troops, Kerry was talking about the Shrub in Chief.
Go Kerry Go! Don’t apologize for nothing. Don’t let them twist the words. Tell Bush to take Rush Limpdick, Turdblossom, Man-on-dog Santorum, and Darth Cheney and shove them up his non-serving, cowardly, stupid ass.
Typical of the Bush Administration and its supporters, those blasting John Kerry for his comments are unable to see themselves as the target of Kerry’s comments. Projecting the blame (”he criticized the troops”) and attacking the messenger (”shameful”) remain the primary “debate” mechanisms of BushCo.
That said, Kerry and other politicians should leave the humor to Leno, Letterman, Stewart, and the other professionals. They don’t need it. They’ve got truth and courage in their arsenal. They are at their best when they “debate straight”.
Jason, a 39 year old Virgin blogger: nice distraction, but totally irrelevant to this thread. Hey, I got an idea, get the heck out of your parent’s basement, head to the local coffee shop, and meet some nice ladies!

Interesting how a political party that is supposed to represent union workers, women and minorities is so completely linked to elitist snobbery. Back on topic: Tom DeLay is, has been, and always will be an ignorant and greedy thug. I’d just as soon not hear anything about him until the news headline is “Tom DeLay Begins His Jail Term Today”.
By all means, wheel out another victim, so that you can’t “act sensative”. The American public isn’t buying it anymore, and Reps are calling you on it. Moreover, when you launch a verbal assault, we put you on the carpet – get used to it – we are now in your face.
A simple solution is to create a thread on the Kerry comment, so that we can discuss it there. Ignoring the biggest campaign news-story of the day only invites thread-jacking.

So, whenever you are here, I will remind posters of how insensitive and illogical you really are

Wow was that a slip or what? Yeah I meant John Kerry :) Though I did see Al got himself a new job. A lobbyist for the British Government.
My point was TP has avoided the Kerry mess altogether most of the other blogs like daily kos tried to deflect the blame, just as john did himself. Coming out and saying he owes no one an apology was the biggest mistake of his political life. He(I’m guessing it was the canidate who canceled him) already has canceled an appearance to stand beside a canidate and help bring in votes. I can’t wait to see what happens next :)

Jason instructs a poster to get back on topic and then…… Any comment on DeLay’s claim that he hasn’t any ethical problems Jason – or is he claiming that he does? His statement is a bit confusing if we’re to assume that he’s trying to speak english.
What I think is hilarious is the hoopla the right-whiners are trying to make out of Sen. Kerry’s remarks.
If, as they claim, he insulted our soldiers, then that also means that Sen. Allen called black people “monkeys”.
Sen. Allen only said “I apologize if what I said was offensive”, but never apologized for calling black people “monkeys”.
So, either the Republicans admit that Sen. Allen called black people “monkeys” or give up on Sen Kerry.
I’m just glad to see Sen. Kerry fight back and not just lay down and take it from the right-whiners yet again. As a veteran, and having spoken to my soldier friends, no offense was taken nor meant. Get over it!
Speaker Pelosi will save us from Republican excesses!
Steve, this is a thread regarding Delay, and I HAVE discussed Kerry in previous threads. I just feel it would be more appropriate to discuss that in the mornings Think Fast edition
But really, how do you feel about Delay’s “ain’t got no ethical problems”?
#27 – Zeke, I agree with you. In order to have a “problem” with ethics, you have to have some to begin with, and Rep. DeLay has proven time and time again that his “ethics” are non-existent.
Steve, I know your anxious to talk about something other than the ethical problems of your party or the chaos in Iraq, the rape of taxpayers by Halliburton/KBR, ect., etc. but keep your skirt on. I’m sure TP will post something on this patheticly sad ‘issue’ your side is trying to create.
Good Morning Progressives, I see from the post’s all the reich wing shit flippers are still posting on word’s spoken by Kerry…Well let’s talk about the 2,800 lost service personell for bull shit bush’s personal power, control of middle east oil, Katrina 4 day’s and waiting while heir dictator diddled and partied eating cake (1,500 died, 300,000 displaced) Let us never forget 3,000 on 9/11 by neglect or design, and then we have 1,000 killed in Lebanon when the decider and his concubine rice waited untill Israel killed all they wanted with our supplied bomb’s…One final tally that is staggering beyond belief is the 660,000 Iraq, men women and children…Oh and don’t forget also in bull shit bush’s mind these are just commas….Damn, you reich winged people are stupid, hartless and blind……Last but not least our troop’s are going hungry in Iraq….That’s bush’s war, remember.? And you on the reich are concerned about a misspoken joke about the murderer in charge…….The reich wingers in our country are for fear, smear, lie and kill……Vote the basterds out and ignore the farro pig’s…
I see ‘Jason the Wonder Blahgger’ is hard at work already this morning. though why he bothers, I don’t know. It’s like he believes that people here actually care about what he says. It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t so incredibly BORING, not to mention, repetitive as well. Jason’s sense of self-importance is like wet sand in my underwear, very annoying. Reminds me of my 2 younger brothers. Knowing exactly what they were doing, and enjoying it. Maybe Jason will outgrow his need to be a brat, but he is in no hurry to do so. Kids…
Jason, just like his terrorist allies in the Republican Party, are pretty stupid. But we know they aren’t stupid enough to think Kerry was actually talking about the troops. They are just being dishonest.
It’s desperation. They are panicking. Kind of like they did on 9/11.
THAT TEXASS DOUBLE NEGATIVE MEANS DELAY IS MAKING A CRUEL JOKE, AND THAT HE IS SAYING TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO WATCH FOX NEWS THAT HE HAS NOTHING BUT ETHICAL PROBLEMS.
I think the fact that he used a double negative is more telling than even he thinks it is. While he was no doubt trying to claim that he’s innocent of any wrongdoing, it can be argued that his own words betrayed him. The proper grammar would, of course, have been “I haven’t had any ethical problems” — but by using the double negative, what he effectively said instead was “I haven’t had an absence of ethical problems”. That’s not a lie!
Good Morning Cyra and DRxJ,……How ya doing Cyra.? Think of you often. Yep! DRxJ I vent and fight back often…..Sick of the (_?_) that post stupid crap when people are being killed because of this miserable administration. Blessings
But we know they aren’t stupid enough to think Kerry was actually talking about the troops
Drink more of that kool-aid.
He was talking to students and said exactly what he meant. That cannont be taken any other way. But like a true liberal who gets caught in something pull out the Clinton playbook and feign outrage and say what you just heard was not what I said. The cat is out of the bag and once again John hands the republicains a victory. How do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?
Steve, I now direct you to ThinkFast AM, to discuss your Kerry infatuation, and thank you for confirming that Delay has never had no ethical problems.
Truly, it’s a step in the right (no pun) direction for ya.
Please, come join us over here in the light.
All of the paid reichwinger trolls think they have a safe place in the new Armerikka locked up, hahahahahahaaa. You will will be thrown away like the garbage you are when your usefulness is done. Suckers.
How do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?
This from a guy who idolizes a lying, moronic deserter. The word you’re looking for is “buffoon”, but one of the definitions describes Bush to a tee: “a gross and usually ill-educated or stupid person.”

November 1st, 2006 at 8:54 amWhat I think is hilarious is the hoopla the right-whiners are trying to make out of Sen.
November 1st, 2006 at 8:56 amSteve, this is a thread regarding Delay, and I HAVE discussed Kerry in previous threads. I just feel it would be more appropriate to discuss that in the mornings Think Fast edition
November 1st, 2006 at 8:57 amBut really, how do you feel about Delay’s “ain’t got no ethical problems”?
#27 – Zeke, I agree with you. In order to have a “problem” with ethics, you have to have some to begin with, and Rep. DeLay has proven time and time again that his “ethics” are non-existent.
November 1st, 2006 at 8:59 amJason Hendler will get spanked next Tuesday. Are you ready for it, little man?
November 1st, 2006 at 8:59 amSteve, I know your anxious to talk about something other than the ethical problems of your party or the chaos in Iraq, the rape of taxpayers by Halliburton/KBR, ect., etc. but keep your skirt on. I’m sure TP will post something on this patheticly sad ‘issue’ your side is trying to create.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:03 amGood Morning Progressives, I see from the post’s all the reich wing shit flippers are still posting on word’s spoken by Kerry…Well let’s talk about the 2,800 lost service personell for bull shit bush’s personal power, control of middle east oil, Katrina 4 day’s and waiting while heir dictator diddled and partied eating cake (1,500 died, 300,000 displaced) Let us never forget 3,000 on 9/11 by neglect or design, and then we have 1,000 killed in Lebanon when the decider and his concubine rice waited untill Israel killed all they wanted with our supplied bomb’s…One final tally that is staggering beyond belief is the 660,000 Iraq, men women and children…Oh and don’t forget also in bull shit bush’s mind these are just commas….Damn, you reich winged people are stupid, hartless and blind……Last but not least our troop’s are going hungry in Iraq….That’s bush’s war, remember.? And you on the reich are concerned about a misspoken joke about the murderer in charge…….The reich wingers in our country are for fear, smear, lie and kill……Vote the basterds out and ignore the farro pig’s…
November 1st, 2006 at 9:04 amI see ‘Jason the Wonder Blahgger’ is hard at work already this morning. though why he bothers, I don’t know. Kids…
November 1st, 2006 at 9:07 amwoah, Sharon…
November 1st, 2006 at 9:07 amPlease, let it out, don’t keep all that inside!
:-)
Jason, just like his terrorist allies in the Republican Party, are pretty stupid. But we know they aren’t stupid enough to think Kerry was actually talking about the troops. They are just being dishonest.
It’s desperation. They are panicking. Kind of like they did on 9/11.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:11 amTHAT TEXASS DOUBLE NEGATIVE MEANS DELAY IS MAKING A CRUEL JOKE, AND THAT HE IS SAYING TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO WATCH FOX NEWS THAT HE HAS NOTHING BUT ETHICAL PROBLEMS.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:12 amI wonder what it will take for those on the right to realize what’s going on?
How about the govt taking away your constitutional rights to bear arms?
During Katrina OUR military was taking guns away from home owners who were trying to protect their property.
Steve, Rogerx2, Hippie With a Pistol, JMH, when “something happens” in your area, will you give up your guns?
Well you already have thanks for voting for Bush!
When these people needed their guns the most to protect themselves, those rights were stripped!
Wake up idiots on both sides, this isn’t about abortion, gays, this is about our constitution.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:14 amI think the fact that he used a double negative is more telling than even he thinks it is.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:16 amGood Morning Cyra and DRxJ,……How ya doing Cyra.? Think of you often. Yep! DRxJ I vent and fight back often…..Sick of the (_?_) that post stupid crap when people are being killed because of this miserable administration. Blessings
November 1st, 2006 at 9:18 am- I don’t not wear a rug on my head.
-Tom DeLay
November 1st, 2006 at 9:19 amBut we know they aren’t stupid enough to think Kerry was actually talking about the troops
Drink more of that kool-aid.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:20 amHe was talking to students and said exactly what he meant. That cannont be taken any other way. But like a true liberal who gets caught in something pull out the Clinton playbook and feign outrage and say what you just heard was not what I said. The cat is out of the bag and once again John hands the republicains a victory. How do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?
Jason, the pathetic political COWARD, when the Dems regain control of Congress, are you going to cry, or just kill yourself?
Mmmm, delicious.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:21 amSteve, I now direct you to ThinkFast AM, to discuss your Kerry infatuation, and thank you for confirming that Delay has never had no ethical problems.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:23 amTruly, it’s a step in the right (no pun) direction for ya.
Please, come join us over here in the light.
Good post MakesYaThink, and spot on………Blessings
November 1st, 2006 at 9:24 amDeLay math : a Double Negative x A Lie = the truth
November 1st, 2006 at 9:25 amSteve shut up,
Forget who said what…
When your govt comes for your guns, who’s safe?
The govt!
Thanks for supporting Bush!
Thanks for reversing the constitution.
Thanks for the next step in facsism.
Papers! Can I see your Papers!
What was that about Koolaid?
November 1st, 2006 at 9:28 am#80 – “He was talking to students and said exactly what he meant.”
Oh, you mean exactly like Sen. Allen was talking to white people and calling black people “monkeys”??? See how you have some double standards!
“How do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?”
The same way your right-whiner Republican kool-aide drinkers put up with pro-big-Government, anti-Constitution, pro-big-debt, anti-troop Pres. Bush.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:30 amAll of the paid reichwinger trolls think they have a safe place in the new Armerikka locked up, hahahahahahaaa. You will will be thrown away like the garbage you are when your usefulness is done. Suckers.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:35 amHow do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?
Comment by Steve — November 1, 2006 @ 9:20 am
Now that’s funny Steve! This from a bush supporter, bwahahahahaha
November 1st, 2006 at 9:38 amHe’s a verbal dumb ass.
Using a double negative, he is actually admitting to ethical problems.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:38 amHe’s a verbal dumb ass.
He used a double negative, and in doing so, is admitting to ethical problems. Glad you see the light Delay.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:40 amJason, why don’t you go have an “afterglow” ciggie. You got off, what more do you want? Someone to toss your salad?
Jeez, what a glutton.
November 1st, 2006 at 9:40 amDang ! I ain’t done had no ethical problums neither.
I’m from Texas and that’s how some people talk ya’ll, even polititicians who get caught in the librul conspiracy.
Git ‘r done!
November 1st, 2006 at 10:30 amMight be the first time he’s told the truth.
November 1st, 2006 at 10:58 am#80 Steve
How do you kool-aid drinkers put up with this bafoon?
This from a guy who idolizes a lying, moronic deserter. The word you’re looking for is “buffoon”, but one of the definitions describes Bush to a tee: “a gross and usually ill-educated or stupid person.”

November 1st, 2006 at 11:44 amWhy would America be interested in hearing what Delay has to say?
Faux News in losing it completely!
November 1st, 2006 at 12:51 pm[...] Indicted former Rep. Tom Delay defiantly proclaimed (with a painful use of double negatives) on Fox News, “I haven’t had no ethical problems.” [...]
