“A Republican congressman” — Rep. Don Sherwood (R-PA) — “accused of abusing his ex-mistress agreed to pay her about $500,000 in a settlement last year that contained a powerful incentive for her to keep quiet until after Election Day, a person familiar with the terms of the deal told The Associated Press.”
Now another cheating republicans.
Why do republicans hate the sanctity of marriage?
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:46 pmA “Family Values Republican” cheated on his wife and abused the mistress he was cheating with.
I am shocked I tell you!!! (not)
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:49 pm500k, sorry young woman, it wasn’t worth the memory.
He’s one sorry individual!
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:49 pmHe can now join the ‘O’Reily Porn Club’….ouch!…thoes DUES…
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:50 pmLet’s not forget that our Dear Googling Decider campaigned for this “family values” candidate last week….
Mr. Sherwood apologized once and Bush was OK with that…even though Bush’s mouthpiece demanded John Kerry apologize after he had already apologized.
Don “The Strangler” Sherwood, a real man, a real Republican.

November 2nd, 2006 at 4:50 pmMy marriage is under threat by this guy and Republicans like him who have no respect for the traditional institution of marriage.
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:51 pmI hope she put it to good use.
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:52 pmAnd the full story comes out Nov 8th!
Republicans. The party of wife beaters, cheaters, gays, and pedophiles.
Who would have guessed?
/sarcasm
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:55 pmSo, will any reporter have the guts to ask the WH why Bush was campaigning for this lowlife? Guess it’s OK if you’re a Republican.
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:55 pmThe Joke’s On Us
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:59 pmHow can anyone vote for this guy knowing what will be in the papers on Nov. 8th? I am sure the die-hards will lock step to the polls but the swing voters?
November 2nd, 2006 at 4:59 pmIf they’re so concerned about the sanctity of marriage, when are they going to outlaw divorce and adultery?
I think someone should ask AWOL McFlightsuit about it…you campaigned for him, are you going to stand up for him now? Do his values echo your own? As a Christian, are you going to call on him to repent? Did that money come out of campaign contributions? Why do you suck?
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:01 pmThat would be great if someone would stand up and ask Bush about this. Of course, no one will, but it’s still nice to dream.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:01 pmAmerica’s Least Wanted
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061102/ap_on_go_co/global_warming
well this is also a nice bit of news…I’ll have my news, with a bit of censorship on the side?
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:02 pmSo, will any reporter have the guts to ask the WH why Bush was campaigning for this lowlife? Guess it’s OK if you’re a Republican.
Comment by TheToonGuy
Snow: We can’t comment on a personal issue such as that. I was dealt with in a settlement that both parties have agreed to. So let’s stop that and talk about how the Dems are terrorist loving, troop hating, sinners….
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:02 pmBy the way can anybody point to Rove’s October surprise that he promised? I must have missed it unless he was dressed up as that zombie that scared the crap out of me on Halloween.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:05 pmThis just gets better and better. GOPers have traditionally been sex-o-holics.
Bob “Peckerwood” Packwood resigned for sexually harrassing his staff
Justice “Pubic Hair on soda can” Thomas (no need to say anything)
Bill “Phone Sex” O’Reiley sued for sexually harrassing his staff
Mark “Page Me” Foley (We all know about this one)
Randy “Hookers and a Limo” Cunnigham (no explanation needed)
Rudy “Honey I Cheated on You” Guilliani
(Feel free to supplement my list. I can’t remember all of these GOP “Family Values” men who ove the “Rule of Law”)
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:09 pmhis wife mailed a letter to voters that accused Carney of “needlessly cruel” campaign tactics.
Aaawww… poor little Republicans… they’re hurt and asking for mercy…
See how they roll, play victim and want everyone to feel sorry for them when they get a little taste of their own medicine?
Hypocritical twits.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:09 pmdlet – It may still be a November surprise. If I could hold my breath until Tuesday, I would…
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:11 pmdlet
Mini-Himler’s October surprise is the agreement he has reached with Diebold on how to best fix the voting machines.
Apparently it has yielded results too. I heard on the news that there is an investigation in South Florida about early voting results. It seems everytime you press the button for a Democtratic candidate, it registers as Republican on the machine.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:12 pmPO’d – You forgot Newt -”Sorry you’ve got cancer, but sign these damn divorce papers” Gangrich

WHOA!!!!! GOP SLOW DOWN!!! You guys are tricking and treating WAYYYYYYYY too much. Isn’t this the morals party? Isn’t the Demorcratic party the loosey goosey party? I bet our gays won’t even date yours after this election season.
Seriously can voters really be sooooo stupid to think that the supposed Moral Superiority of either party is real? Hipocrasy is real though, the GOP has a lock on that. Flip flopping, Kerry has nothing on the decider. “Stay the Course”, ” I never said Stay the Course.” , Bush.
Listen-progressives understand the WAR ON TERRA. We are Admirals, Generals, scholars and informed citizens, who love America and our life in America. We know the solutions are complex and take time to sort out. There is no DOD silver bullet! (Sorry Rummy, you ignorant f**k).
We have always fought for this country and her ideals. THAT is what we are doing this election season. We get it; America the DEMOCRACY; not America the THEOCRACY. GOP-Get OUT of our way and let us save this country we all call HOME.
Texas Juice
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:15 pm“Last month, his wife mailed a letter to voters that accused Carney of “needlessly cruel” campaign tactics.” — She should have directed the letter to her husband who decided to break his oath to his wife and God and get down and dirty with another woman.
Funny how the Republicans always seem to want to blame the messenger, not the immoral Republican.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:18 pm$500,000!! Just goes to show you how valuable a Congressional seat is for operating a scam.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:20 pmWhat?! This CAN’T be right!
This has got to be some kind of mistake. The Pedopile Party member is a Republican and a Christian and they just don’t _do_ this kind of thing!
Another Satan-inspired liburul lie, without a doubt. Another in an endless series of lies about Christian pedophiles, rapists, closet homosexuals, and all the rest of the epidemic lies that The Left have been lying about.
Sure.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:21 pmNow Allen (R-VA) is accusing Jim Webb of provoking the “scuffle” that happened between his staffers and a reporter. NOW HE’S REPORTER!! WHAT TRASH….THE REPUBLICANS ARE BEYOND CONTEMPT. It just shows the desperation of the Republicans. This is like GWB saying the Iraq is the fault of the Democrats….the lies and the spin never stop. The Republicans call themselves the “moral” party…WHAT MORALS!! And news keeps getting better!! Boy, they are digging one big hole for themselves.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:27 pmWayne, thanks for the link.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:27 pmLooks like a “computer glitch” wink, wink.
But the calibration looks fine?
Bring your camera phones to use as your vote flips!!!
Has anyone noticed that Mightly, Ben, Exley, and others have not been around or have said little today>>>>>HMMMMM
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:31 pmThis is a thread about someone breaking the 10 commandments.
I don’t see Daryll condeming Sherwood.
Strange and very curious.
Could it be because Sherwood is a Republican?
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:33 pmWhy isn’t Jesus Mad?
Peejay – careful there buddy, don’t get too excited about Pederson’s chances.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:35 pmKyle has been running ahead in the polls the whole race, but it is narrowing.
The N.Ariz U poll of 10/11-16 had Kyl ahead by 16%, but the two later polls
SurveyUSA 10/14-16 and Ariz State 10/21-22 had Kyl by 5 and 6% respectively.
Pederson may run out of time to cut into his lead.
But we can always work in the election run up and on election day getting out the vote.
DO SOMETHING, DON’T JUST SIT THERE!
And now we return you to your regular broadcast.
Peeeeghaaae,
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:37 pmDo ya thinks they might have, erp, a lil too mush to drinky poo?
Now would this be a high value voter or a zero value voter?, I get so confused with all this profane GOP morals
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:37 pm“Besides, we all do it.”
And honestly, what’s the big deal? Every Christian hypocrit chokes their mistress at some time in their affair, often more than once.
Nothing to see here, folks. Move along, there’s nothing to see. Just another god damned Christofascist liar trying to keep his ignorant Christian sheep followers from waking up and smelling the Christian hypocricy.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:37 pmAh, yes. The party of family values. The party of the self-appointed moral authorities for the rest of us.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:38 pmI don’t see Daryll condeming Sherwood.
Comment by Wayne — November 2, 2006 @ 5:33 pm
When he does get here, however, he will direct his righteous indignation to those liberals who are smearing a good man of God, and for trying to change Jesus’ design for the outcome of the elections. Or something like that.
Same for the other room-temperature-IQ trolls.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:42 pmI told you she was a whore.
-Don “The Choker” Sherwood.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:51 pmBooDog – I am pretty certain it’s a high zero value voter, or is it a low zero voter value?
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:54 pmAttn shoppers and value voters now go to aisle 12! Get your voter values before they all disappear! Huge discount on morality, hypocrisy, Janus medallions…
Don’t bother looking for Daryll. He’s at Teddy’s house for a “prayer” meeting.
November 2nd, 2006 at 5:55 pmOn another front, I am watching CNN, Decision 2006. With all the bullshit going on out there, Tucker Carlson is still chomping on the Kerry story.
I get the feeling the entire CNN network, minus Kieth Olbermann, is doing every thing it can to throw the momentum back to the Republicans at the last minute.
I mean, they aren’t even trying to hide their conservative bias any more.
November 2nd, 2006 at 6:04 pmOn another front, I am watching CNN, Decision 2006
Correction! That was the Republican lapdogs at MSNBC, Decision 2006 not CNN.
November 2nd, 2006 at 6:09 pm#17, dressed up? Take a closer look at the pasty, fat jowley face. It’s the real thing, baby!
November 2nd, 2006 at 6:23 pmVote for the pervert of your choice but vote!
Funny how some 30% of the American Christian populace will continue to vote for these types of hypocrits regardless of any atrocity, any hypocricy, or any crime.
November 2nd, 2006 at 6:24 pm#18 — Don’t forget Bob Livingston and Henry Hyde, two philandering Repubs! In the case of Henry Hyde, it is very hard to believe — I mean, really you would have to be pretty hard up for that pile of lard.
November 2nd, 2006 at 6:29 pmThank You RUCurious, GSD & NMB
I can now expand my original list (If you have more keep it coming)

Ted “Gay Sex Haleluja” Haggard who preached homosexyuality is a sin against God, and called Shrub every morning to remind him of it.
I tell you, my cesspool at home smells rosier than this bunch of self-rightous, arrogant bastards.
November 2nd, 2006 at 8:24 pmWell at least he’s not a PEDOPHILE. Hey, let’s have more of this kind of corrupt Republican, shall we?
It sort of knocks the snot out of their self righteous mode, doesn’t it now.
November 3rd, 2006 at 12:17 amNewt -â€Sorry you’ve got cancer, but sign the damn divorce papers†Gingrich

That was just with Newt’s first wife. He was cheating on his second wife with a female member of his office staff (now wife #3), all the while trying to impeach Clinton.
November 3rd, 2006 at 8:16 amBob Barr, another of the impeachment managers and also from Georgia, is on wife #3, too.
Asa Hutchinson, ex- Senator from Arkansas (R) lost his re-election bid… same problem.
