    What a bunch of tools.

I apologize to any tools that may have been offended by my last remark.

  2. RealScientist says:

Since apparently Nancy Pelosi has little name recognition outside of California and Washington, this really won’t mean much to Rush’s idiot listeners (and they truly must be idiots to listen to Rush). Rush, Drudge, and the rest are grasping at straws.

  3. wisedup says:

AMBER ALERT: RUSH LIMBAUGH MISSING HIS BRAIN….

  4. hellinabucket says:

Sounds like rush is off his meds again.

  5. Jay Randal says:

Drudge and Limbaugh should get married and run off to Tahiti together > lol.

  6. Louis says:

“Speaker-to-Be Nancy Pelosi” That has a nice ring to it!

  7. james k. sayre says:

In other news, Republican operatives are suppressing voters and votes from sea to shining sea. Why do Republicans hate democracy?
    Why do Republicans hate America?
    Cheers.

  8. thgy says:

I commented on a post by Susan Madrak on the Huffington Post this morning, she was full of fire:

If you tell me that, I’ll tell you this: You have the wrong priorities.

I’m sick of the lack of backbone and dedication to the cause of our democracy. If you were willing to work one-tenth as hard at protecting our liberty as these bastards are at destroying it, I wouldn’t be writing this now.

If these pricks steal this election, and you don’t swarm every place that’s connected to the theft – the election bureaus, the newspapers and TV stations, your congressman’s office – if you don’t stand up to be counted for democracy, then just shut up and resign yourself to being a good little cog in a fascist state for the rest of your life.

    That’s what they’re counting on.

I agree with her 100% and will take to the street and encourage others to do the same. I asked these questions in a comment but as of now the comment has not been posted. A similar comment last night went un-posted too.
I asked: what should we demand? Does that sound stupid to you? I want to know if we should demand a total recount or we demand that they throw the whole election out and re-do it with a paper ballet, in just the obviously contested area or every where?
How can we stop the Congress from seating the benefactors of a disputed election? The whole revolutionary was fought without television; the undocumented workers used cell phones – but must have had a plan, a central information place. Please give thought to these questions we need a plan. And a place to go to get the information we need. UTube can show us our fellow Americans gathering and fighting, we just need a little advance planning. PLEASE

  10. Drew Mackenzie says:

Relax Rush, you’ll be seeing lots of Pelosi. War audits, investigations, impeachment hearings, etc. Cleaning up after Republicans is “hard work.”

  11. Grand+Moff+Texan says:

    HEADS UP, TP:

Rice, Bartlet, and Charles Johnson are now falsely claiming that the nuke documents mentioned below are from after the first Gulf War.

They’re from before the first Gulf War.

This is a coordinated attempt to claim that the docs “prove” WMD in Iraq before the present invasion. It’s all happened in the last couple of hours.

#10, Did you catch that 60 minutes piece last week? Nancy said she wouldn’t be persuing impeachment. Actually I don’t recal her exact words but that’s what I got out of it anyway.

  13. Sharon Cox says:

Well progressives, here we are on another Friday in bush bizarro world….Ya know, win or loose the reich winger’s are now providing us with lot’s of entertainment….The free dog and pony show continues to cost us dearly in Iraq (11) this month already and on the home front, but there are clear signs we are winning.

This thread is a huge sign they are going to keep up their circus untill Tuesday. Wonder what new trick they will poll out of the hat next…

For you’re enjoyment and mine..Wal-Mart sales slipping badly, they may cut prices drasticly for the holiday’s..No matter to me cause I boycott them any way..

Heard one talk show host say the evangical church bunch are dusting off their bibles and going to retreat to the wilderness because they feel their leaders got corrupt with the white house power…Sound’s good to me…Seperation of church and state worked better when served up with the constitution in tact…That would be pre bush/rove etc: for the troll mentaly challenged….

With humility and lot’s of hard work I do hope we win this election in a big way….Blessings…Peace

  14. Jay says:

Let’s spin this another way…The abuse of ‘Amber Alert’ for political purposes is disgusting. This is mocking every parent who lost a child. I am outraged (outraged I tell you!) that this is allowed to go on! The Amber Alert was created for a very important purpose and for these people to use it this way. SHOCKING!

Someone else want to take over here?

  15. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

Rush has “fallen” many times, I would guess:

    - fell out of his crib as an infant, hitting his head and causing brain damage
    - fell out of favor with his classmates in elementary school due to his insufferable selfishness
    - fell in lust with several women, none of whom could maintain tolerance for him
    - fell into drug use
    - fell in the ratings of his radio show

    He’s a real “felon fellow”.

  16. Roger_Roger says:

    #12

No, you guys are right. Pelosi is front and center. She is on every channel every day. She is obviously showing the leadership needed for the Speaker position. Oh wait, she hides until this election is over because she knows most of America cringe just thinking about her politics. I say, this is a very good strategy for the Dems. Keep her out of the way so you can win power back. Afterall, this and all elections aren’t about idea’s, there about power!!

  17. Pissed Off says:

    # 5 Jay Randall

May be Ted Haggard can perform the ceremony, and have his male prostitute in tow for the festivities.

Mark Foley could be the best man.

    What do you think?

  18. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

Actually, the neocons are operating under a “Red Alert” because they see the Congress turning blue.

  19. Republicans are the fear and smear party says:

I think Rush Limpballs is faking his Amber Alert.

  20. TheToonGuy says:

Roger, do you even read these things before posting? Go up and click on the link.

  21. OxyCon says:

No one is falling for anything.
This is quite obviously an election year ploy contrived by the Republicon party and is being carried out by the right wing media (Rush and Drudge), which then provides free campaign commercials to the GOP.
No doubt Rush and Drudge have been given orders to pump this non story up to make it appear that Pelosi is dodging the media becasue Karl Rove wants the focus of this election to be on Pelosi.

  22. Jay Randal says:

Post 17 Pissed Off > the entire GOP membership can come to the wedding dressed in drag for all I care > GOPers are crazy hypocrites!

  23. Democrat Soldier says:

#16 – Awww! Isn’t that cute! Rogerx2 is reading Druge and believing the lies! No need to question his assertions, just take his opinion and adopt it as your own!

Hate to break it to you, but if the Republican “ideas” held any merit, they wouldn’t be losing the House. Isn’t that right, sweetie?

  24. SpudgeBoy says:

No, you guys are right. Pelosi is front and center. She is on every channel every day.

Yeah, I bet Hastert wishes he wasn’t on the TV everyday, but that is what happens when you cover up for a pedophile.

  25. Drew Mackenzie says:

#16 I’ll agree with you, but for different reasons. Staying out of sight (Pelosi) gives the TV more time to focus on what is really killing the Republicans: The Republicans.

  26. DRxJ says:

Hee hee. Now that is funny! Using an abudcted child’s murder to be humorus! Har de har, har
    What’s next…
making fun of people with certain diseases?

  27. USA says:

    Wishful thinking for Rush!
I can imagine him [and all Republicans] curled up in a ball saying over and over, the majority is not real, the majority is not real.

  28. aguafiero says:

    Here’s a possibility:
Bush Dumbaugh is playing to his primary audience of drunken neo-con deviants; for whom an “Amber Alert” is cause for them to start squirming on their bar stools……

  29. bs says:

nacy is sitting back along with the rest of the dems in their comfy quarters watching the reichwing dismantle themselves as fast as the soldiers breaking down an m-16. the republikkkons don’t need us to help, they are doin fine on their own.

  30. Foley's 12" Ruler says:

    Roger Roger:
Why why don’t don’t you you stop stop repeating repeating everything everything you you are are told told by by Drudge Drudge and and Rush Rush?? Instead instead, look look at at the the evidence evidence presented presented and and think think for for yourself yourself and and perhaps perhaps come come to to a a reasoned reasoned conclusion conclusion. It’s it’s called called logic logic, and and dates dates back back to to Plato Plato and and Aristotle Aristotle. Good good luck luck!!!

  31. Bluedahlia says:

If Speaker-to-be Pelosi becomes Speaker Pelosi and doesn’t start the impeachment hearings, that is when she had better go into hiding!

  32. TritoneSubstitution says:

This has got to be the stupidest fake controversy I’ve ever heard.

  33. TritoneSubstitution says:

You know, I don’t at the moment much care about impeachment or justice. I just want to stop the bleeding and stabilize the patient.

  34. NewNameAcquired says:

It just feels like she is missing because we only pay attention to those involved with scandals these days. Like gay sex scandals.

I won’t deny that the media is focusing more on the sex scandals, because they need the ratings. And perhaps the stories on Nancy were much shorter than normal reports.

But none of that is Nancy’s fault. As ThinkProgress has pointed out, she IS out there, and IS making numerous appearances. She is NOT hiding.

  35. NewNameAcquired says:

#30 – Reading your comment made me dizzy.

  36. tom baker says:

ol’ roger’s funny – trying to maintain the rightard party line like he does….funny, funny people, with really weird fixations…

drudge prolly hooks up with rush and rush’s hollywood buddies down in the dominican republic, to do things even evangelical mega-church pastors from denver don’t do…

  37. Foley's 12" Ruler says:

    #35 – Sorry sorry!!!

  38. TritoneSubstitution says:

Even if she’s laying low, who cares?!?! Build a real story about that and gin up some outrage over it ’cause it means that… What the hell does it mean again?

  39. Alan says:

The “Pelosi missing” claim is an intentional distraction, to get people talking about Pelosi rather than Iraq, corruption, incompetence, etc. Think Progress, are you going to keep taking the bait, or is the last time you will post this story?

  40. Swordsbane says:

You know.. I hear a lot of “Wait till the election” stuff from the liberals here under the assumption that the dems will win both the house and the senate. But now we got the whole e-voting thing to worry about and it’s spilling out of the obvious places (Ohio and Florida) and threatening to get into everything.

If this election doesn’t go the way everyone thinks it is (ie Democratic) It’s not going to matter if someone rigged the elections or if things are just too muddled to figure out what the hell is going on.. My question is: What the hell do we do then?

  41. tom baker says:

Sword – we’ll be pretty much screwed, and I’ll be encouraging my kids to seek their fortunes overseas, like my ancestors did generations ago.

  42. Pete_Bogs says:

she’s with Kerry’s apology… both are out there, if consternos cared to look…

  43. JaneESchneider says:

#30, that must have been difficult to type!

  44. Swordsbane says:

Sword – we’ll be pretty much screwed, and I’ll be encouraging my kids to seek their fortunes overseas, like my ancestors did generations ago.

    Comment by tom baker — November 3, 2006 @ 2:14 pm

I think we’ll have more than that to worry about. I don’t live in the booneys, but I can see the booneys from my house. Sometimes I hear distant gunfire. I’ve always had the confidence never to give it a second thought. It’s either hunters or poachers out doing their thing or fireworks being set off to stave off boredom.

I’ll be listening more closely from now on.

  45. the fly-man says:

Rush feeds on attention and since he’s not up for any reelection himself his player status has to be established. Why should Nancy Pelosi be anything to the right exempt a scapegoat alternative to their poor performance act of bait and switch on the public for their tax dollars. Heavens knows Rush has already cleared the current speaker of any wrong doing so conversely he has been anointed the ability to depose any competition.

  46. Technodaoist says:

    Limbaugh is a TOOL

  47. Dave says:

The part that I think is great about this is the fact that ‘they’ are conceding that the Dems are going to take the house.

  48. ShamRockNRoll says:

Um… why does it even matter if she is “hiding” or not? Is this seriously the only thing Rush & Drudge, and idiots like Roger-Roger have left to talk about?

  49. WaltTheMan says:

    #48 – Dave,
I would opine that the Republicans now wish that the Supremes did not overturn eminent domain.

  50. Swordsbane says:

    Limbaugh is a TOOL

    Comment by Technodaoist — November 3, 2006 @ 2:40 pm

“Tool” implies he has some use.

  51. WaltTheMan says:

A wedge is a simple tool. That actually describes Rush’s role in today’s clime.

  52. Marie says:

I think Pelosi’s daughter is nearing delivery. Pelosi is campaigning for Dems. The media doesn’t cover her, but they feel free to claim she is hiding because that makes them feel better – they dont’ want to talk to the Dems; they might hear a word or two of logic from a Democrat.

  53. richb says:

That icon has been up for days, both he and Hannity are questioning the lack of campaigning by Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy and others as a ‘liberal’ hiding fest.

isn’t true, but that’s the agenda they are currently pushing.

  54. oxillini says:

Where’s Hastert? Ney has some free time to campaign, right?

  55. Think Progress » ‘Vanishing’ Pelosi To Appear At Multiple Public Rallies Tomorrow says:

[...] The right-wing media — including Matt Drudge, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News — have launched a baseless campaign (already picked up by MSNBC) suggesting that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has gone into hiding before Tuesday’s election. [...]

  56. JPark says:

You lose Republicans!!! (doing a little jig)

  57. QBU says:

This was the first time I ever clicked on Limptwit’s site, and I must say, I haven’t been missing anything. What an idiot.
