Yes. Thanks Mike, I really do feel better about myself. I guess seeing a “Christian” fall like this is really what makes me feel jazzed. Maybe if a few more of this hypocritical bastards would drop off. Like maybe Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff, Ralph Reed, Dick Cheney… Hmmmm… looks like I’m a little too late there. Well, Mike I guess if your buddies were really so Christian, they’d only need a WWJD bracelet to make them feel good instead of Hot sweaty gay sex while hopped up on METH. But then again, I guess hypocrisy is the order of the day in today’s religious environment.

Of course he’s lying. His eyes keep shifting to the left when he’s asked a question. Also, while it would make sense to be “tempted” by the drug, he doesn’t articulate that. He lacks the imagination to come up with a decent, credible lie. Christ is so disappointed…yet he won’t smite Haggard, mayhap ‘cuz he’s, oh I dunno, IMAGINARY?

I don’t usually come back to harp, but in Daryll’s case I will make an exception.

First, you are using touchÃ© the wrong way. If you say it, it means someone made an effective retort to your argument and you have no comeback. Do you play the PC guy in the Mac commercials?

Second, by now you must know Haggard has been dumped by his own church for having committed sexually immoral conduct.

You came here haughtily asking for apologies. Now that you have been proven wrong (imagine that), it is your turn to behave like the good Christian you claim to be, admit your mistake, and apologise for hurling baseless accusations.

I am so sorry for all this man has done to hurt the cause of Christ!
I think that he has damaged the testimony of many trustworthy Christians! I think the Lord can forgive him for what he has done, but he will have to live with his actions as long as he lives! Thanks alot ted you have probably sent many to an eternaty that they did not want and will keep many from seeking help for their problems!

To all the comments already made by others, I would like to add:

By purchasing meth he fell into temptation. He himself admits during the interview: â€œI was tempted, I bought it, but I never used it.â€

However, he is being disingenuous (lying) when he says “I was tempted”. He wasn’t just tempted. He fell for it and bought the stuff. True, he wasn’t tempted further into using it, but fact remains he purchased it, hence acting on his temptation of buying a substance he knew fully well is illegal.

Acting on one’s temptations in a deliberate manner is a sin.

Further, by refusing to admit he sinned, repent, atone, and ask for forgiveness, he is commiting the sin of pride.

And thus we conclude tonight’s lesson on Christian theology 101.
