[...] Oh Lord, early exit polls raise my expectations again. Why do I fall for this every time? Will it all turn out to be a mirage, just as it did in 2004? Were those who answered the poll questions deliberately lying, just to excite and then cruelly dash my hopes?
[...] The exit polls that leaked out in the late afternoon ended up matching the final results almost exactly — nothing like what happened in those other Bush-era elections. The razor-close races all broke late for the Democrats, unlike Florida in 2000 or Ohio in 2004…and when that happened, there were no major charges of fraud, no “Brooks Brothers Riot,” and no demand for a recount. The last two losers — Conrad Burns of Montana and George Allen of Virginia — went quietly into the autumn night, despite relatively close vote tallies. There appear to be no other Rovian stunts, like calling in the GOP’s chits with Joe Lieberman to get him to caucus with the Senate Republicans. And there was no October surprise, not in Iran and not back home. [...]

Evidently our Yale grad got gentleman "c"'s in English, specifically, in the area of reading comprehension - otherwise, he'd know the snippet he posted was from someone on his side of the political divide!

Live in your dream world. Drive your Honda Elements and wear your Birkenstocks and wool socks.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about... I'm a woman who loves high fashion. I only wear Tevas (sand socks) when I'm hiking (cause, unlike you, I'm not too fat to walk).

I’m not going anywhere, trust me. I’ll make sure that I’m right here to say I told you so. 2 years.

Don't hold your breath...

Good times.
Even the Raiders got a win this year.

You've help redefine delusional to new proportions.

Every Yalie I've ever known likes to brag about going there. Usually it was the only thing they had ever accomplished in life... Which is sad, as you guys are second rate to Harvard.

Let's see if it's hack the vote 2006, or if the real winners will actually get to be sworn in. I have little faith, and have seen what the evil Diebold machines have done and are doing. Yea MoveOn. for offering a $250,000 reward for proof of voter fraud. I hope no one is able to take them up on it due to little to no fraud - but if there is fraud, please let someone notice and take up MoveOn.org on their monetary reward offer.

The last week surge toward the RED was from when the GOP voters on the fence remembered how much they disliked the Donkeys even more then the guy in the White House. Lesser of two evils.

I just recommend that every one cash out of the market now. And head to Canada. Come back in 08 when McCain takes it.

Take a picture of that 12000 Dow. Won’t last past tonight.

Seriously. You guys are funny when you get stirred up. Reminds me of Dean 2 years ago. YYYAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW.

The last week surge toward the RED was from when the GOP voters on the fence remembered how much they disliked the Donkeys even more then the guy in the White House. Lesser of two evils.

I just recommend that every one cash out of the market now. And head to Canada. Come back in 08 when McCain takes it.

Until then....

Early exit polls are highly unreliable, but information needs to be free.

I almost passed out. Very true and thank you for providing the information with the statement to follow. I appreciate the information.

Hillarious.

So broken that the American People chose 8 years with the GOP after 8 years with Billy Boy.

No need to chat all night. I'll sit here and toast to our GOP Senate. You can have the House.

2008 is right around the corner.

The way your comments are coming out, I'm guessing that you must live in Colorado and voted YES on 44. That's the one that allows possession for Mary Jane, by the way. And by your comments, you're too busy tokin' to follow the GOPeality of the situation overseas.

Support our troops.

Good. Your side needs a huge dose of humility.
