Conservatives distraught.

Michelle Malkin: Trent Lott is an “eternal Maalox moment.”

Right-wing bloggers: Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) is “the Harriet Miers of RNC chairs.”

Dick Morris: “Oust John Boehner and Roy Blunt.”

After experiencing Mr. Frist as majority leader, I came to miss Trent Lott. He kept the train running on time while Mr. Frist pandered to the false christians.

Welcome back Senator. I don’t agree with you on any issues, but I like you anyway. Senator Frist always acts like he has a stick stuck in him somewhere.

  4. DieNowForPeace says:

GOPers, your party has been a train wreck for years now.

    Welcome to reality.

  5. DRxJ says:

    Zooey,
    Off Topic…sorry
I’d like to issue you an apology. I see I hit a nerve regarding another thread yesterday. No harm was meant as I was being sarcastic and trying to be funny. I realized once I posted that it could be taken in a wrong manner, which was not the intention.
Again, I apologize, and out of respect, won’t be using “certain disease states” to attack our good friend JMH
But rest assured, I will continue my assault on JMH everytime he gets in his women hater rants!
    Take care!

  6. j swift says:

uh, didn’t she really mean a maalox movement…

  7. Republicans are the fear and smear party says:

Trent Lott is a racist. Typical GOP choice.

  8. Fredric L. Rice says:

I’d rather have them suicidal and jumping off of buildings in quantity.

  9. RUCerious says:

Would anyone care for butter or salt on their Martinez or Lott?

  10. Zimzone says:

All of this relates to Bush’s ‘Fecal Factor’.
    He can’t do shit.
    He doesn’t give a shit.
    He has shit for brains.
He surrounds himself with shitty personnel.
He gives shit, but doesn’t take shit.
    My point?
It isn’t so much a Maalox moment, but the last
6 years have been a ‘Fecal Frenzy’ of shit floating
down to middle & lower classes of Americans.
    End the insanity.
    Build new bridges.
    Appoint qualified people.
I think it’s hilarious that Martinez is going to replace Mehlman!
    Bring him on!
    Boner & ‘Unibrow’ Blunt?
    Bury them!
Lott? Probably the best of the bunch, which isn’t saying much, and is really just a retread on an old tire.
This is the fun part, progressives.
Open a cool one, turn on Fox, and laugh out loud for a long time.
As Jason M Hendler once so famously said,
“I’d like to go outside, but I don’t dare!”

He’s the hero you need this Christmas: rigid,
completely plastic, and he’ll repeat anything you tell him to……and best of all, he’s a FOX toy!”

Maybe Bull O’Really can get them work this Holi…oops… I mean Christmas season, now that he’s working for Mal-Wart…. what was it that sealed the deal for ya Bill? Was it the “Culture Warrior” action figure?
“Attention, Mal-Wart shoppers, we have a red light special in the over the counter drug aisle!
    It’s Culture Warrior! He’s old, he’s decrepit, he’s a sexual predator ….aaannnd…., a total

Tag, you’re it. Hopefully, for the next 40 years.

  31. ForTruth says:

I know I am certainly not allowed to encourage suicide.

  32. Fredric L. Rice says:

Not evebn if they suicide tastefully? Out in the desert or forest where their remains could finally benefit the environment? (Assume we’re not talking about Cheney and other massively toxic scumbags, of course.)

Actually far better would be to walk through Republican offices leaving a revolver with a single bullet on every traitor’s desk, giving them the honorable way out like it used to be done.

    Unbelievable,

I guess could encourage suicide anonymously. I am a professional counselor, and my licensing body would likely frown on that. Don’t you think?

Yup I’m a professional counselor of 12 years, who woulda thunk that with all my crazy posts? Well, ok, keep that to yourself. :)

You mean how ‘god’ was on their side because we are liberal heathens? :)

  38. james risser says:

a bit off-topic, but, why do you think the media that jumped all over the story about al-qaeda in iraq being pleased about democrats winning but didn’t print that the statement also THANKS BUSH FOR BRINGING HIS TROOPS TO IRAQ???

I cannot but thank the most stupid and ominous president [of]the state of slaves and drugs, America, recognized throughout its history.

This president who gave us this great historic opportunity and brought in his soldiers and experts to engage in direct fighting. The two groups engaged in a manner that we never imagined. With God’s help and might, a simple and almost illiterate monotheist Iraqi peasant, blew up with his explosive charge the phony US civilization. The dreams of Uncle Sam have been shattered along with the pieces of the bodies of their soldiers and experts in the land of oil and water.

    oh well…just curious.

  39. Fredric L. Rice says:

If I’m not mistaken, it is illegal to commit suicide in the United States. I can’t imagine how they punish such “wrong doing” if the suicide is successful.

Suicide should be every adult’s Constitutionally protected right provided they don’t inconvience anyone else or otherwise volate other laws.

  40. unbelievable says:

  41. Zooey says:

    #41 – james,

    They certainly have GWB pegged.

  42. james risser says:

and this a translation regarding the democrats:

The American people have put their feet at the beginning of the right path to save themselves from their predicament, and they have begun to realize the treachery and subservience of their president and his clique to Israel. Thus, they voted with some sense in their latest elections.

I wonder if politicians will keep the promises they made to their citizens and relieve the pain of mothers by saving their sons from the lions of the Land of the Two Rivers.

Are they going to redress the huge deficit of budget, which was wasted away in a stupid losing war? Will they realize that the tax payers are actually paying the price for the bullet with which their sons are being killed with in the quagmire of Iraq?

  43. Humanist says:

    FLR,
My understanding is that the punishment for a successful suicide attempt is forfeiture of all worldly possessions and the punishment for an unsuccessful suicide attempt is life.

    I could be wrong.

    Peace.

  44. Zooey says:

    james,

It’s pure genius of you to put these translations on this thread. No troll is going to show up on this thread….

  45. Jeremy Henderson says:

Oh please, we don’t need them to encourage suicide, just to come out of the closet.

Finally letting go of those repressed urges would do wonders for the Republican Party.

  46. james risser says:

z, i don’t play with the trolls much anyway… the veteran/patriot guy needs a good kicking around, but, most of the others seem mildly retarded and are not worthy of spending words on, in my opinion…

do you think these troll people care which threads they soil? interesting…i guess i never thought of it that way.

  47. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

No troll is going to show up on this thread…. Comment by Zooey

Certainly not JMH on this thread, with its theme of Republican disunity! I kind of miss the little guy, though….just kind of, a little, no wait, I take that back, bad karma, (hitting myself on the head like the house elf in Harry Potter), I didn’t mean it, aaahhh

  48. Tobey Tall says:

Al Jazeera TV English launch (its better than FOX)

I think that it is brilliant! Finaly a news agency that can oppose the propeganda machine of CNN. I love news, from all points of view. I make my own opinions. I am glad finally that I can look at some without some western bias.

    Posted by Concrete

This channel only been going for a few hours and it’s already the best news channel we can receive in the UK. Yes, I’m white British, but I like many want to see the real news.

    Posted by BexTech

given how skeptical we have become about news supplied by our own governments and many of our media providers it is refreshing to have news from a different angle. My advice to them, which I’m sure they havealready anticipated is that when presenting hi-profile news, present a lo-profile target.

    Posted by becop

I wish Al Jazeera English good luck, we need another point of view without it being Tabloid like Sky News, BBC News 24, CNNi and not forgetting the Fox News Channel. I wish the Internet premium stream was less than ?11.99, more like ?5.00 and I would be happy to pay that. Americans really need to see it, so their stop believing the Fox News Channel “Fair and Balanced” of the world “America”. It would be good if it could get on Freeview, but I will be wishing along time for that.

Fantastic news.At long last a relief from the biased garbage from the so called top news channel. Well done Al Jazeera and all the best for the future.

With the midterms now in the rear view mirror, history will record that President Bush committed the defining gaffe of the 2006 campaign. Bush crystallized the Iraq issue and sealed the fate of the GOP’s congressional majority by offering job security for the “fantastic” Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld during the final week of the campaign.

    For the details, see:
“Bush Sinks GOP Majority Over Rumsfeld.”

I don’t care what the trolls think, james. I meant that we “normal” people could have a chance to have a reasonable discussion about these translations with fewer or no trolls.

  53. james risser says:

    ahh, i see.

they are remarkably accurate statements and i would hope that almost everyone would agree with what they say. he seems to have quite a good grasp on the realities of things, and the costs of the war… it is a real shame that we have to hear them from someone running ‘al qaeda in iraq’ and not from an american leader.

it is remarkable that no msm or even media matters corrected the quotes!!!

  54. Tobey Tall says:

Yes I was very impressed with the elections and was very happy for the world and America…… and hope things change …Time will tell

As for the Democrats YOU MUST push progressive ideology and crush the opposition.
