Last night, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly blasted Fox for its upcoming interview with O.J. Simpson, in which the former NFL star describes “how he would have murdered his ex-wife and her companion.” O’Reilly calls it “a low point in American culture” but notes “Fox Broadcasting has nothing to do with the Fox News Channel.”
Actually, Fox Broadcasting is tightly connected to Fox News. Radar has the details:
– “Fox News Channel chief Roger Ailes…also chairs Fox Television Stations, the group behind the forthcoming” special on OJ.
– “Fox Broadcasting and the Fox News Channel are both owned by…News Corp. founder and chief Rupert Murdoch.”
– “Fox Broadcasting Corporation–the people who program prime time for the Fox network–regularly air Fox News-produced programming” including “O’Reilly’s special “documentaries” about people who hate children and Jesus.”
Moreover, the upcoming O.J. Simpson interview is being promoted by Fox News. Watch O’Reilly and then watch Fox News hype the interview relentlessly:
Fox’s new “nadir”….this is the lowest of the low!
November 16th, 2006 at 4:07 pmBill O has never been afraid to say something without checking the facts first. Once he’s stated his position he’ll stick by it come hell or high water. He’s predictable that way.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:07 pmYour life, Bill O’Reilly, is full of hypocrisy and contradictions.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:17 pmYou gotta love people like OCrappy….look at what these jerks wrote. I think they are telling a liberal to off himself, but I am not sure.
Moral Mailbox: Do I deserve to live?
Good lord.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:17 pmSo when is O’Rielly going to quit?
November 16th, 2006 at 4:23 pmO’Reilly’s gonna get so pissed and ooze so much righteous indignation over the OJ interview that he’ll blast Fox News and quit…………………………….
November 16th, 2006 at 4:25 pm…….BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!…..I crack me up.
This is ALMOST as despicable and treasonous as the news organization paying 2 million dollars to a terrorist organization caving and paying a ransom. The $2,000,000 went directly to kill Israeli’s.
Sorry my bad that also was Faux News Corp.
What pathetic shills.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:27 pmAnyone who would promote this trash is scum indeed, a “frothing mix of lubricant and human fecal matter.”
November 16th, 2006 at 4:30 pmI love the way they’ve been hyping it too. BO hypes it on the radio. The Fox Friends in the morning hype it. They all hype it by saying over and over: “Whatever you do, do NOT watch this special. We implore you. This is filth and you should NOT watch it at all costs. I’m serious. NEVER EVER EVER watch this special, which is airing on Fox Monday at 9pm.”
I don’t really know the time, but that’s what they’ve been doing.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:34 pmThis is nothing new for O’Reilly. He is constantly either lying or not quite telling the truth. Anyone who disagrees with him is an “SP” and is “drinking the kool-aid” or is reading those “nutty left-wing smear sites”. He’s a broken… broken…broken…broken…record.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:35 pmThis “special” is offensive and disgusting and just plain wrong. Leave it to Fox to sink to a new low.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:38 pmAmerica’s Least Wanted
For the record, Ailes probably put O’Reilly up to this. When it comes to a program like this, I’m reminded of the old saw about actors: “There’s no such thing as bad publicity.”
November 16th, 2006 at 4:40 pmNever saw a better pairing….FOX and O.J. May they feed off each others filth.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:42 pmContriversy sells.
Fox is trying to make it up for a special they are also promoting.
Ailes controls Fox Snewz and Broadcasting divisions so this is pure hype, trying to increase viewership of their own broadcast.
This with the memo discovery shows that Fox is just full of crap.
November 16th, 2006 at 4:50 pmBoth the broadcasting and snewz divisions should merge anyway, since both make fictional stories.
O’Reilly: If you “spot it” you “got it”….the lowliest of low calling another individual “low”?
November 16th, 2006 at 4:51 pmC’mon guys. Fox has ALWAYS been known for seeking out bold and snazzy new ways to hit bottom. Looks like Billy O just isn’t edgy enough anymore.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:03 pmI’d be willing to pay O.J., oh, $35, to describe how he’d murder O’Reilly, if he were to, uh……murder O’Reilly.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:15 pmWhat Bill meant was “Fox has nothing to do with news broadcasting.”
November 16th, 2006 at 5:15 pmYou have the media you deserve. Sorry.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:20 pmNo Dildo’s for Bill O.

November 16th, 2006 at 5:24 pmWow, dude all this hatred for Bill O’reilly! I thought you liberals didn’t advocate hatred for anything or anyone? Remember, now boys and girls moral “relativists” can’t “should” anybody. Because you don’t believe in absolute truth -you can only make statements like: I really feel, like, if you, like do this interview, OJ, it might like, make a lot of people like very unhappy, dude.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:43 pmHow do these people sleep at night?

November 16th, 2006 at 5:57 pmThat guy selling his soul on the net ought to just donate it to Fox, so that way, they at least have ONE.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:57 pmDo any of you liberals hold down a job? Shouldn’t you be going back to work now?
November 16th, 2006 at 5:58 pmHere’s an oldie-but-goodie example of Fox Broadcasting showing the same disregard for truth that Fox News shows daily:
http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html
It wasn’t such a big step from “debunking” the moon landings and that alien autopsy show, to having a network dedicated to peddling the Bush administration’s latest departure from reality.
November 16th, 2006 at 6:02 pm“Hey! Where the white women at?”
The guy walks away clean from his crimes and now he’s trying to sneak back into the loving embrace of the public — and the god damned traitor piles of shit at FOX “News” helps him.

November 16th, 2006 at 6:02 pmIf liberals are relativist elitists, but the alternative is the sort of mindless pseudo-certainty that gave us Bush’s faith-based approach to war coupled with Rove’s faith-based dishonesty to try to cover up for massive incompetence in the White House, then I’ll take the relativist elitism please.
November 16th, 2006 at 6:05 pmThere are no “white” women left; they’ve all become color-less, border-less, mindless advocates of multiculturalism. Next, they’ll invite OJ to teach a diversity class at Berkeley.

November 16th, 2006 at 6:55 pmNice try, Bill O’Ridiculous – but you’re associated, sorry to say, with an organization whose propaganda machine has become clear to most americans, whose newscasters perpetuate FAUX news….so what did you expect?? You’re part of the the scam which you purport to be against.

November 17th, 2006 at 2:24 amOh Yeah. There’s white women out here. There’s a woman out here that went to school with Nicole and is so angry I can’t even describe it. To think that not only was Nicole butchered like a side of beef, then character assasinated in the press and tabloids, had her killer go free because everybody was too busy getting rich off the trial…. and now this? If I didn’t have kids, I’d show OJ what I would do if I had killed OJ. Pleaze boycott Regan Books, Faux news, Fox Broadcasting, any and all sponsors, and last but not least…. throw tomatoes at OJ if you see him on the street. That creep should be where the sun does not shine. The only satisfaction I get is knowing he will burn in hell someday. He also proves what we always thought. Do you guys ever read?
November 17th, 2006 at 2:49 amExcept that Fox Television Stations isn’t the group behind the OJ special – that’s Fox Broadcasting, which runs directly under Murdoch. Dear Jerry B. Falls:
You sir are not a patriotic Vet, you are a pitiful liberal God hating low-life who has been brainwashed by your own stupidity. You are so dense that you don’t even know that those getting derferments during the Viet Nam War were often considered heros, albeit loser ones. I was drafted and served 1965-1977 and volunteered for Vietnam. I suspect that if you had gotten an education, ala JF Kerry, you would have NEVER served in the military and now you are blaming everyone else for your failures. All my dope smoking friends who used their deferments from serving in Viet Nam would also make disparaging remarks about guys just like me who honored their call to serve their country. If I were 21 again, I would be in Iraq fighting against Islamists who now want to kill me, you, your family and all who are not Muslims. So sit there on your lazy butt and enjoy the retirement check that MY high taxes, that you elitist liberals want to increase again, pay you each month and blame the rest of the world for your failures! What a loser. But remember, God loves you and so do I! FYI, when I left the military, they tried everything to get me to stay in, but I didn’t, and it mostly because people (idiots) like you were in charge!

November 17th, 2006 at 8:11 pmOk, so I used to work at BOWFLEX/NAUTILUS and when one of our commericals was going to be ran on a station that was doing something reguarding a show about an inmate band, O’Reilly on his show said bowflex and other companies were indorsing this by advertising on the station that was going to run the inmate special and how these people were murders and child molestors and to call the companys to protest. Myself and everyone else in the call center started getting all these calls from people saying they would never buy a bowflex because of this. Well, did O’Reilly bother to tell his listeners this time not to buy any products from the companys advertising during the OJ deal like he did with the inmate special years ago or just distance himself from the other channel. Be fair O’reilly, do the same thing and tell your listeners not to buy any products and call the companies advertising during the oj airing and complain. It’s only fair. I know bowflex, Randy Potter, the bowflex guy sent a statement to the O Report the day later and we pulled all advertising from the station that was going to run the inmate special and I think the inmate thing was pulled and never aired
November 17th, 2006 at 9:49 pmIn one of these posts some ratwing claimed that progressives are the moral relativists. I would be interested to know if this individual has any documentation about that. Everything I’ve seen indicates that it is the nutcases who are the relativists. For example:
Torture – prog say it is always wrong
neocons say it is ok if done to Muslims
Illegal spying – prog say it is always wrong
neocons say it is ok as long as they aren’t being spied on
Denial of habeus corpus – prog say it is always wrong
neocons say it is ok as long as it is done to someone else.
Killing women and children – prog say it is always wrong
neocons say it is ok as long as they are not white Americans
Breaking treaty agreements – prog say it is always wrong
neocons say it is always an option for the US, but no one else
Human rights – prog say they extend to everyone
neocons say that they extend only to fundamentalist Christianists
The Constitution – prog say it applies in all cases and to everyone
neocons say it is just a goddamn piece of paper
and so on…
November 17th, 2006 at 10:13 pmThe constitution is currently on display in the White House.

9/11: IF I DID IT, HERE’S HOW IT HAPPENED
Since the tragic day of 9/11, a growing number of people in America believe President George W. Bush was involved in the 9/11 attacks.
In a stunning new program airing on the FOX network, President George W. Bush will show the world how the 9/11 “Truthers” may be right after all.
This program will include stunning re-enactments of Presidents Bush’s actions and his family’s actions before 9/11 including;
The funding of Osama Bin Laden through the Carlyle Group which is controlled by his father George Herbert Walker Bush and the Bin Laden Family.
The compromising of the World Trade Center’s electronic security by his younger brother Marvin Bush, who was the head of electronic security at the World Trade Center complex until the year 2000.
The signing of document W199I which blocked the FBI from investigating Al-Qaeda.
The training of the CIA controlled “hijackers” at the Pensecola Naval Air Station.
The pre-positioning of troops in countries bordering Afganistan months before 9/11.
Allowing Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld to stand down NORAD and take away their authority to shoot down hijacked planes.
The reassignment of FBI Deputy Director John O’Neill from the FBI to the head of security at the World Trade Center in order to “shut him up” regarding Bush’s blockage of FBI investigations into Al-Qaeda.
The planting of explosive charges in the World Trade Center towers and in Building 7 days before the attacks in order to create the illusion that the Towers were knocked down by planes and Building 7 by fire.
Letting National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice call San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown on the night of September 10th and warn him not to fly on September 11th.
Making sure he was in a Florida school far away from the scene of the crime in order to create a legitimate alibi.
Flying to Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska after the attacks and secretly meeting with America’s top financial and business leaders in an underground bunker.
And even more revelations will be revealed in this shocking documentary.
Whatever you do, don’t miss President George W. Bush in;
9/11: IF I DID IT, HERE’S HOW IT HAPPENED

O.J. sewer leads right to Murdoch
November 18, 2006
AMERICA’S popular culture lost its sense of shame so long ago that it’s a little hard to recall precisely what that emotion felt like.
[…]
…the Fox television network announced that it would air a two-part interview with O.J. Simpson as part of the publicity campaign promoting a new book, “If I Did It,†in which he offers a hypothetical account of how he might have killed his ex-wife
[…]
“If I Did It†is the product of the former football star’s collaboration with an unnamed ghost writer and will be published at the end of this month by ReganBooks, the euphonious shock-and-schlock imprint Judith Regan runs for the HarperCollins publishing house. Fox, ReganBooks and HarperCollins all have something important in common: They’re owned by the predatory Australian-born media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, who has devoted his life to making money by making sure that news and entertainment are as coarse and vulgar as can be imagined in as many places as possible.
In fact, if there is a single compelling argument for restrictive immigration policies, Murdoch is it. It is one of history’s inexplicable perversities that this avaricious antipodean has been welcomed into this country while honest Mexican workingmen are walled out.
