Marine Corps ‘can’t maintain [a] surge’ in troop levels.

At a press breakfast yesterday, Marine commandant Gen. James Conway said that any decision to increase the number of Marines in Iraq – currently around 23,000 – would have “long-term repercussions.” “The payback is you can’t maintain that surge,” Conway said. “‘And it’s probably going to have an adverse impact’ on the ability to provide ready troops in the future.”

Bush treats the troops like expendable turkeys.

Bush has made a right dogs dinner of Iraq – Time to leave , pay damages for rebuilding and pay their $22 Billion we Stole from their bank…

Free American passports for all the Iraqi spies on our side and stop supporting any more murder

Ruining America’s military readiness and bankrupting the treasury is not too big a price to pay for preserving Bush’s image of himself as a “War president.” What does the future of our country matter, compared to the egos of Dear Leader and his supporters?

George W. Bush, the whore president.

When I hear pundits predict a blood bath if our troops were immediately pulled out of Iraq I can’t help but see the irony. What do we call the current carnage? And since the administration has been wrong on each prediction in the prosecution of this war so far, I can say confidently that peace will come quickly once we are out of there. Victory? Wars have no victors; only by peace may we make a claim to have been victorious.

Obviously the Marines are a bunch of whiners. Duty calls, so suck it up. Follow the example of our brave leaders.

    nevermind.

  8. PoliticalCritic says:

If they can’t increase troop levels for at least for 6-9 months, the U.S. won’t be able to win this war. They are already undermanned.

I take exception to this.Follow the example of our brave leaders.

    But not this.

It would be a lot easier to increase levels and sustain them if we could send women into combat jobs. But womens lives are so much more valuable than mens.

  10. JPark says:

It would be easier to send all of the pussy chickenhawks. Gee, I think the war would be over as soon as the righties had to fight.
