They along with so called evangelicals will be the undoing of this country. They have suceeded in undermining everything the founding fathers stood and fought for. Now, having read this on-and-on-and-on defense of Republican clarity, actually it’s more of a lamentation, I haven’t any idea where the party stands or those so enambored with it.

I, for one, am tired of hearing our Lionhearted Liberal brethren denounced as unpatriotic traitors because we might have a useful idea or two, or a list of fifty. We do not have to let the neocons frame the discussion in their own pious censorial terms.

The media has been sanitized for too long, remember the embedded reporters? Did you get any information real information from them? About all you got from the embeds was a sense of how it felt over there.

Remember Wolf Blitzer talking to Lynne Cheney a month or so ago? He kept asking her the wrong questions that she did not want to hear, and she asked him, “Wolf, do you want the U.S. to win the war in Iraq?” (paraphrased)

It’s impossible to have an intelligent conversation with people who control the dialogue, the nomenclature, and with whom once you disagree will call your patriotism into question. Why can’t we ask things like: Is this a revolutionary war? Is this a religious war? Is this genocide? Is this a holocaust? My answer would be a partial yes to all of the above, as well as YES to civil war.
