Bush still hasn’t seen An Inconvenient Truth.

But Al Gore has a plan:

Q: Do you know if President Bush has seen the movie yet?

GORE: Well, he claimed that would not see it. That’s why I wrote the book. He’s a reader.

HAHA, he’ll get to it right after he finishes My Pet Goat in 2011.

Bush is in Denial of everything from health, Iraq to globalwarming

  5. hil says:

it’ll have to be a coloring book… or maybe one of those “Choose your own Adventure!!”
…hmm actually he might actually learn something then.

  6. SouthPaw says:

    Needed the comic relief today.

  7. Grand Moff Texan says:

Wow, now the Bush II library will have TWO coloring books!
    .

  8. kharma says:

As long as Gore writes the childrens version, junior might possibly read it.

  9. Zooey says:

GORE: Well, he claimed that would not see it. That’s why I wrote the book. He’s a reader.

    Brilliant.

  10. The Trucker Pundit says:

For once, Al Gore is a-tellin’ the truth!

After all, we SAW Preznit Bush Jr. with a book that one time, remember?

    What was it again?

“My Pet Goat”, or sumthin’ like that…

He sure seemed to like it.

  11. upside00 says:

Don’t hold your breath on him ever seeing that book or movie, in any form.

It’s not on his approved Exxon and Chevron reading list. But if it was, Karlie and Uncle Dickie would have to spoon feed it to him and explain all those big words.

    NAWWWW, will never happen

  12. Kevin says:

Why would anyone wast time watching an Al Gore movie?

  13. barfly says:

Bush still hasn’t seen An Inconvenient Truth about installing “democracy by Daisy-cutter,” either.

  14. Drew Mackenzie says:

    Ah, too funny. :)

  15. theswan says:

The content is above Kevin’s head as well.

  16. Rosencrantz says:

Yeah, but it is unclear how much Bush understands, learns or retains when he reads. I mean, it must be “hard work” reading like 80 books a month, or whatever Bush claims to be averaging.

  17. upside00 says:

Why would anyone wast time watching an Al Gore movie?

    Comment by Kevin

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin….. How many times do we have to tell you to not watch so much Faux News, and listening to the Rusher babble away.

You need to get out more!!!!

       Kevin

Why would anyone waste time reading a Kevin comment?

  19. Zooey says:

    cynic,

Kevin? Who is this Kevin of whom you speak…?

  20. Bluedog49 says:

Kevin: “Why would anyone wast time watching an Al Gore movie?”

Kevin, can you name any major issue about which Al Gore has been wrong? In the late 80’s he worked hard to help develop the infrastructure for the Internet. He was spot on about that. He was talking about the environment and global warming long before anyone took the issue seriously. In 2002, he delivered a long, fiery speech saying that it would be a huge mistake to invade Iraq. Even though he was referred to as “unhinged” over that speech, who would argue that he wasn’t absolutely right about that? Gore is one of the only major politicians who have been correct on about every major issue. But no politician has suffered more from media attacks on his character. You seem to have bought into the media message.

  21. cynic says:

    Who is this Kevin ?

       Just a wast of space.

  22. codepiranha dot org - Quote of the day - December 5 says:

[...] In a recent interview with GQ, Al Gore had this to say about whether President Bush has seen his movie: “GQ: Do you know if President Bush has seen the movie yet? 23. squegeeboo says:

I still haven’t seen it either, but I did just see ‘Sky High’ something tells me it was the right choice.

  24. PatrioticLiberalChristian(PLC) says:

Perhaps Gore should write a book specifically for Bush: “My Pet Goat and the Melting Iceburg”.

  25. Curlew says:

The night I first saw Farenheit 911, I purchased 4 tickets for a show later that evening. I put them in an envelope and left them at Will Call. The envelope had George Bush’s name on it. Returning home I emailed Bush, saying it was obvious he had not seen the movie because he had not resigned in disgrace yet. The tickets where there for himself, Laura, and the First Twits to go see. It was my gift. Later I learned that they never saw the movie so when the DVD came out I bought an extra copy and mailed it to Bush. He had no excuse not to have seen it then.

When Neil Young’s CD “Living With War” was released last summer I bought an extra copy and mailed it to Bush because I didn’t want him to have the chance to say he’d never been able to listen to it.

Now that Amazon.com is advertising that the DVD for An Inconvenient Truth will be available, I have ordered an extra copy of it. Once in hand I’ll mail it to Dumbya and Laura. They cant say they’ve not had a chance to see it.

Cant wait for the DVD of “Shut Up and Sing” to come out. I”ll mail him a copy of it also.

My Pet Goat Hightails it to Higher Ground”

Bush still thinks Dr Strangelove is a documentary

It’s a coloring book? Very thoughtful for his readers.

  30. RUCerious says:

    Is there a Shakespears version?

  31. Hardy Haberman says:

Saw the plans for the Bush library, it’s a false front with the Dick Cheney library behind it.

  32. RUCerious says:

#31 – Isn’t it right next to the “Barbie” museum?

  33. ForTruth says:

Awe crap, all the good jokes are taken. I don’t see George sitting down to read Gore’s book.

  34. robert says:

#20, bluedog, I can give you one, google PMRC

  35. BanReligion says:

    robert,

While I am 100% against any kind of censorship, and generally dislike the PMRC did do a small favor for American parents in helping them. It’s a tough job being a parent, and as long as they aren’t trying to censor music, I don’t care if they stick big labels on CD’s. Hell I always knew as a teen that label was a mark of quality.

I just looked up Wikipedia’s PMRC, hilariious, ahh the memories it brings back of being a heavy metal loving teen.

  36. robert says:

badreligion, read the links that accompany the wiki article. the PMRC moderated their tone about the same time Gore had presidential aspirations.

  37. Flaco says:

President Bush does not read science fiction.

  38. ForTruth says:

Flaco is still a virgin, why else would he watch the women here so much and follow them around? Creepy.

  39. Zooey says:

    …google PMRC
    Comment by robert

I thought that was Tipper. Are you saying he needs to catch the reins on the little woman?

  40. robert says:

Zooey, no, no , no, NO, I am not saying that.

Gore was a member of the Senate committee that was hearing the PMRC case while at the same time endorsing the PMRC, therefore he was endorsing censorship.

NO ONE can EVER catch the reins on any woman. I would rather wrestle with a cat in a burlap sack that to try! (ok, i set myself up with that one)

  41. Zooey says:

Gore was a member of the Senate committee that was hearing the PMRC case while at the same time endorsing the PMRC, therefore he was endorsing censorship.

You endorse censorship, Robert. Weren’t you saying you wanted to be able to opt your kids out of certain subjects?

NO ONE can EVER catch the reins on any woman. I would rather wrestle with a cat in a burlap sack that to try! (ok, i set myself up with that one)
    Comment by robert

Good answer. I shall let the wrestling of the cat in the bag go…

  42. robert says:

opting out of a subject is not censorship. I am not advocating denying the right of the public in general. I do however have the right to determine what my child is exposed to.

  43. Ronin_Tetsuro says:

Best laugh, all day, hands down.

  44. Zooey says:

I do however have the right to determine what my child is exposed to.
    Comment by robert

Yes, you do have that right, but it’s still a form of censorship.
    C’mon, Robert, be honest…

  45. robert says:

Zooey, no it is not censorship because my house is not a democracy. Ok, let me put it this way, I am against GOVERNMENT censorship. You know by now I am all for Parent rights and responsabilities. A responsable parent is aware of what their child does, watches and listens to.

  46. Zooey says:

Ok, let me put it this way, I am against GOVERNMENT censorship…
    Comment by robert

We can agree on that one, Robert.

My house was not a democracy either, but I called things what they were.

We have to stop agreeing like this, people will talk. :)

  47. keepinon says:

Al Gore was just on Oprah for the entire hour talking about his movie and book. A very quiet, very attentive audience. Too bad the MSM is paid by big corporate interests, otherwise we might already be following the Kyoto accords. Al says we have maybe ten years…..tick….tick…tick

I’m real horny now that u mention it.

  49. Karim says:

I do not expect a man who cannot pronounce “nuclear” properly to see a movie of such importance.

  50. DemandTruth says:

I can’t say it enough! I love this man.

    Re-elect Gore 08

  51. Flaco says:

Poor Gore should have carried Tennesee his home state.

  52. Flaco says:

Now he out making bad movies.

  53. ramses popper says:

    ask yourself.

why would the commander in chief feel obligated to watch that politcal hack`s attempt at melobrama.

it brings to fruition this phrase…..”The president scared you with terrorists, but the global climate trumps even that”

it is called the propaganda machine.it knows no bounds, loyalties or party affiliations.

it is a contest to see who can rake in the most followers and both parties, sad to say are major players.

    like it or not.

    on another note,

Anybody know where one can find a copy of Ken Lay`s autopsy?
    No?
Because he either isn`t dead,or BushCo did him in, is why.

This was engineered by BushCo.to keep Ken`s “knowledge” silent,or an exile pardon from BushCo for “helping them out”

    Comment by Curlew

    Curlew,
Are you sure you didn’t get yourself on some “no-fly” list, or on a terrorist list?

  55. Lora says:

Why would Dumbya need “An Inconvenient Truth” when he deals with “convenient lies/truthiness” everyday?

  56. Republican Corporate Oil & War Machine Monopoly says:

Although I agree with Gore on many issues, on this point I have to disagree.

GORE: That’s why I wrote the book. He’s a reader.

Bush is barely capable of reading the cartoons on the back of a cereal box, much less a book.

  57. Jordan says:

And people say Gore isn’t funny!

  58. Jericho says:

Bush is no reader, if he is, he should read the definition of civil war in the encyclopedia!

  59. Jeffrey Stewart says:

    Al Gore. Snap! Hilarious!
