What a bunch of idiots! Leaving a position makes no difference on weather they can be investigated or charged. Is this really just a forum of simple minded public educated 12 year olds?

Gee, if all these people leave W might have to make a decision all by his lonesome. Look out if he does. Couldn't hurt actually, since no one knows or can understand what he is saying anyway.

Gee - Aren't they proud of the job they did? Guess not if they won't stay and defend themselves.
Hope the Democrats in Congress are posting guards at the office and building doors and forbidding shredders inside.
Love #31.

<em><blockquote>I guess they believe that if they are not easy targets in D.C., they can escape the harsh spotlights.

The question is, will they go to a country from which they cannot be extradited?

<blockquote>The fact is being hidden that the other oil producing countries are strategically opposed to Iraqi competition on the oil market as a democracy.</blockquote>

Bingo, we have a winner. Why was the Iraq war DESIGNED to be a disaster and DESIGNED to completely decimate Iraq? Why are/were there threats to Iran? It drove oil prices through the roof and took Iraqi oil off the market. This leaves a huge hole to be filled by countries like Saudi Arabia. Our best buds, the Saudi Royal Family (at least the best wahabist/jihadist buds that we have). Who makes boatloads of money by dealing with the Saudis? Lots of people, including our buds at the Carlyle Group.

The sooner we get out of Iraq, the sooner Iraq can become stable enough to start pumping oil, the sooner the price of oil goes down and the sooner the Saudis and the Bush's (and others of course) stop raking it all in.

Think about it people, you know all of this to be true. Then start rethinking other events that led up to all this.

Why's everyone always pickin' on me. Can I help it that I was born with silverspoon in my mouth. It made it difficult to speak at Yale and that's why I averaged a 'C'; that's also why my cheerleading sounded like a sheep in heat. (not that I would really know anythng about that sort of thing) And heh, I know danger; you try cheering with a spoon in your mouth. I ran for governor because my oil business went belly-up, and the baseball team failure was the ballplayers' fault. They did a heckuva job though. Besides I thought Ann Richards was just too smart for a woman. Of course governers in Texas have as much to do as a mayor in Plainsville or Laredo or so I was advised. The LT Governor is really the guy who has to read alot and works hard hours; that's not for me. As president I would have more authority and lots of smart people around me to help say the right thing and don't have to read, but I did read of State of Denial, that's near Maryland isn't it? Anyway, I was told all I had to do is just say things like "heckuva job".

Don't blame Iraq on me. That was all those smart people telling me what to do. But, now I found out that I let go all the real smart ones. I'm just left with the smartasses who my country into this; ones who tell me things I like to hear. So don't blame me. If my father had not gone into Iraq. I wouldn't felt like had to go one better and beat the snotcrap out of 'em. Just think all those 3000 soldiers killed and then 600,000 civilians. But heh they all did a heckuva job. Wish I could tell them...but Henry Waxman is after my keester and so I'm gonna cut and run. Sorta like all my life.
GWB- Oh, Hi Dad. Call me sometime in.....Bermuda or wherever there is no extradition treaty. I'll phone, I got some of those throw away cell phones.

Their leaving will make it even easier to zero in on those requiring the investigations of which we may currently be missing.

And although its irrelevant to the thread:

<em>instead they will only take the knife that they have imbedded into Bush’s back and twist and slash for better effect. </em>

It is important to note that the only knife in anyone's back in this whole situation is the one America has to remove from Bush's still-bloody hand.

"<em>The only way to level the playing field is if the media properly informs the public a properly informed public will do the right thing. </em>"

You mean like discussing how the oil companies were discussing how to break up the Iraqi oil fields only weeks after the Administration took office?

"<em>The problem is the Democrats have been given total freedom to play armchair quarter back with impunity by the media. </em>"

How is that a problem? This is Bush's war. He is the self-proclaimed "War President".

"When the world can see that Iraq is a problem that deserves to be looked at as a humanitarian issue and sees the true picture of what the problem is. Instead of a Bush vs. the world and the Democrats on the side of the world issue as it has been framed. There never will be a good ending to this story. "

I coudln't agree with you more which is exactly why Bush needs to resign. How many more lives must be lost soley for his pride?

instead they will only take the knife that they have imbedded into Bush’s back and twist and slash for better effect.

It is important to note that the only knife in anyone’s back in this whole situation is the one America has to remove from Bush’s still-bloody hand.

“The only way to level the playing field is if the media properly informs the public a properly informed public will do the right thing. ”

You mean like discussing how the oil companies were discussing how to break up the Iraqi oil fields only weeks after the Administration took office?

“The problem is the Democrats have been given total freedom to play armchair quarter back with impunity by the media. ”

How is that a problem? This is Bush’s war. He is the self-proclaimed “War President”.

“When the world can see that Iraq is a problem that deserves to be looked at as a humanitarian issue and sees the true picture of what the problem is. Instead of a Bush vs. the world and the Democrats on the side of the world issue as it has been framed. There never will be a good ending to this story. ”

I coudln’t agree with you more which is exactly why Bush needs to resign. How many more lives must be lost soley for his pride?

#16 Big Papa

I would like to reduce your four step to three since there has been enough investigation, albeit with attempted coverup, and there isn't really anything left to impound from those to be impeached lets us try IMPEACH, INCARCERATE, CELEBRATE. Then send the bill to OPEC (Oil, Pharmeceutical, Energy Corporations).

Republicans have been in control of all three branches of government and control a large segment of the mainstream media which acted as a cheerleader going into the Iraq war. And, yet, Joe wants us all to know that Democrats are responsible for the mess we're in today. And besides, we WON the war anyway.

Joe, there's a special extra-long sleeved jacket waiting for you with pretty buckles to go along with a reservation for a padded room with your name on it. You can sit there and dream up any world you like.

These guys are leaving because of the up coming criminal investigations. They would stay if the GOP were continuing to steal money but now with no money flow and possible charges they are leaving like rats.
