Since early October, the “nationwide average retail price of a gallon of regular gasoline has risen 8 cents.” Prices will likely continue to rise through December, even though “it’s rare for gasoline prices to go up this time of year.”
Making up for all that money lost during the Republican’s political grasping of straws… Imagine how much money they lost by lowering prices to help their partners in crime – congress.
LOL the election is over so gas prices are rising again! Expect the price to be at the same level or higher than before it dropped to help GOP! By next summer gas prices will probably be around 4 bucks nationwide and 8 bucks a gallon if Bush attacks Iran!
In the small town where I live, we have an independant gas station, and a “chain” station.
The independant is on average 20 cents lower per gallon than the franchise.
This morning the independant was lowering the price on his sign a penny, in response to the franchise raising his last night by a dime.
It was pretty noisy and congested at the independant pumps, and people driving by honk and wave at ol’ Winston….!
MN has a law now that prohibits anyone from selling gas at less than 8 cents / gallon abovecost.
Yes, we have a Republican Governor.
Yes, we are pissed off.
Supposedly, it was to ‘protect’ the small businesses from China-Mart coming in with gas stations & pricing them out of business.
This was in the name of Consumer protection…no more ‘gas wars’.
I don’t need corporate America protecting me, I need more protection from them!
Why is the Dem congress doing this to the american people?

What Dem Congress are talking about? The Democratically controlled Congress in the United States doesn’t take over until January. This is still the republcans fu*king Americans.
The republican owned gas stations. But, what do you care, you got lots of money, a great job and a family. WHy should you waste your beautiful mind worrying about other people having a hard time with high gas prices. Go look over your stock portfolio and count the money in your bank account. Oh happy day! Kevin has his so screw everybody else. Jerk.
The price of unleaded in the burb’s of Seattle $2.68 a gallon yesterday….With all the tax payor’s money going to fund the big oils profits of 48 billion last quarter guess it wasen’t enough..Wanna bet they will ask for more blood money next quarter and the one after that…As long as this is allowed, it will continue, forever or untill the oil run’s out….Blessings
Why don’t you conserve? In addition to leading the War on Global Warming, you’d save money. In addition, by you conserving, it’d increase the supplies and thus lower prices.
election over and they have to bring it back to where it was, also they are trying to get as much as possiable before the dems take away their tax gifts.
Yep – I filled up my tank the day before the election – told everybody why – they laughed and said I was paranoid. Just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean some one isn’t following you!
since we have been told at length about supply and demand and our producers have now reduced supply artificially and proven it to be a lie as we should have known. there is no great demand and unlimited supply. there should be an excess profit tax enacted now of at least 40 dollars a barrel so the lying that drove the prices up doesn’t further enrich the perpetrators
It’s Clinton’s fault!
December 7th, 2006 at 10:32 amThis has nothing to do with the election being over, does it?
