From DeLay’s first post:
I have created this blog in order to provide Americans with a new meeting place where such opinions and viewpoints might be better shared, discussed and debated; a place where conservative and traditionalist Americans might speak truth to power and to one another.
In all honesty, I did not fully realize the impact or potential of the blogosphere until very recently…
According to USNews.com, the site will have a way to “filter out” those with dissenting views.

UPDATE: All of DeLay’s blog posts have been removed and comments have been shut off.

This should be fun. I can’t wait to post Tom Delay’s crimes on his very own blog to remind him of why he should be in prison.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:04 pmNo progressive entry to that echo chamber. Can’t have anyone pointing out the lack of clothes to the little emperor.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:07 pmyeah, it took him being removed for crimes and a democratic landslide at the election to make him realize how powerful blogs are.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:12 pmNow if he could just realize how bankrupt his neocon positions are, then we’ll get somewhere… but by the looks of it he will deny that there is another view.
If he “filters out” those with dissenting views, he’ll probably be the sole poster. Should it be called a mlog? (As in monolog)
December 10th, 2006 at 5:13 pmDon’t be so sure, Walt. Neocons and theocons cherish their lies. Like Free Republic, this will be a comforting echo chamber to filter out the real world.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:18 pmHis filter does not seem to be working - or his WEB-master is asleep at the helm. Perhaps he hired a cockroach out for revenge.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:20 pmDoesn’t look to me like the filter is working too well.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:20 pmI left a turd in his comment section :)
December 10th, 2006 at 5:30 pmThis has to be a hoax. Either that or Tommy boy is certifiably insane. I know the latter is true, but this has to ridiculous. The site reeks!
December 10th, 2006 at 5:36 pmj, you’re not hard to spot. Love your comments! Heh.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:39 pm#17 - e coli,
December 10th, 2006 at 5:46 pmThat cinches it, certifiably insane is the verdict.
hi j,
I’m having a little fun over there, but there’s so much smart-assed shit going on, we could all be trolls responding to each other. Fun.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:46 pmGo on over to Crooks and Liars and read the comments already posted if you want some fun!
December 10th, 2006 at 5:48 pmWait a minute, Conservative and traditionalist voices need a forum to speak truth to power? They’ve controlled the government for six years and intimidated the entire MSM. Why on earth do these folks keep casting themselves as oppressed?
December 10th, 2006 at 5:53 pmuh - the comments by “tom delay” himself kinda make it seem like another parody site… who knows…
December 10th, 2006 at 6:00 pmthe bestest ever (!) was harriet meiers’ blog, remember that? …fun…
there has to be a catch here…
Comment by e coli
Yep, it’s called “Karma - DeLay style.”
December 10th, 2006 at 6:02 pmAnd who would the power in “speaking truth to power” be?
December 10th, 2006 at 6:11 pmLooks like the blog just shut down. I hope DeLay read all that shit.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:16 pmIt’ll be interesting to see how long my comment will stay up on his place. Or how much longer DeLay will be taking comments before he shuts them down entirely while people are trying to speak “truth to power.”
Btw, speaking of dictators, My thoughts on not just Pinochet’s death but at how much in common he had with George Duhbya.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:17 pm*pfft* … all gone…
fun while it lasted!
December 10th, 2006 at 6:20 pmThat was so damned fun!
December 10th, 2006 at 6:20 pmj,
You were fantastic!
December 10th, 2006 at 6:22 pm#28 - Zooey,
December 10th, 2006 at 6:22 pmTommy apparently thought that his pool filter would work on the internet pipe. His site will back up as soon as he can buy some chlorine and Algaecide.
hehehe, I think you guys broke it.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:23 pmI hope it was something I said!
December 10th, 2006 at 6:24 pmOn the filter thing, those of liberal econ bloggers (Brad DeLong, Mark Thoma, Max Sawicky, and Angrybear) know about rightwing pest and serial liar Patrick R. Sullivan. It seems Patrick has a blog where his name is Roland Patrick. While most of us liberal bloggers freely allow comments (Brad has had it with Patrick but he reappears with all sorts of fake names only to be figured out). But to post at Patrick’s place, you must be a team member to post a comment. Check out the number of comments he gets. ZERO. No one wants to be on his team. Hopefully Tom Dishonest DeLay will face the same lonely fate.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:24 pmWalt,
He’s going to need more than that to rid of what a nice young lady called “Skank” posted.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:27 pmTHEY FINALLY PULLED THE POSTS! After 100+ negative comments…Nothing like profanity directed at the profane. And who is more profane than Mr. DeLay? I wonder if they will ever have anonymous commenting again…
By the way, that email address listed on the WHOIS, danigop@earthlink.net, is the email for Dani DeLay Ferro, the less-than-upright daughter of Tom who lets lobbyists pour champagne on her nubile body in hot tubs.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:30 pmupon closer inspection, i guess it may be the real thing… looking at the links on the right, especially “features” is interesting…
December 10th, 2006 at 6:31 pmwonder if anyone did a screen save…
j,
I posted one after that, saying that even skanks have standards, and he could go (heh), etc.
December 10th, 2006 at 6:31 pmj,
No I didn’t save it. Ick. I think mine may have been the last comment, or maybe it didn’t even make it, because I hit the button, and the thing literally shut down before my eyes. You may have the whole thing.
Let us know what you do!
December 10th, 2006 at 6:44 pmj - check out comments at crooks and liars…
December 10th, 2006 at 6:48 pmxoites has posted many of them, then tufobu posted a link to 96, so he finished with the last ones, ending with “from the grave we shout…” … the most profound post of all…
j,
I thought that one about the dead iraqi children was one of yours, it sent chills up my neck.
The comments on Crooks & Liars has a few straggler comments toward the end.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:01 pmdammit you guys, i go away for a few hours and look what i miss. i bet this take-down was better than st. holy joe’s blog
December 10th, 2006 at 7:07 pmShat@! I was too late. I wish I had come in sooner. Might have been an interesting place to golb on.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:14 pmLOL, that didn’t last long, guess somebody has to go back to the drawing board on that so-called filter!
December 10th, 2006 at 7:18 pmi followed the link for “recent appearances” and was able to post there a few minutes ago.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:30 pmI bet the tomdelay.com police standards are set extremely high. No mention of “gay” or our band for life.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:30 pmBut you can still click on the email Tom with a question…
I did.
I asked him if he would still be able to blog from FEDERAL PRISON.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:32 pmAnyone check out his bio? Hmm, no information about having to resign from Congress in disgrace after being charged with felonies. Maybe that will be included in the update…
December 10th, 2006 at 7:37 pmDeLay is a Surrender Monkey for closing the comments section of his blog.
December 10th, 2006 at 7:42 pmThis is a JOKE……..right??????
December 10th, 2006 at 8:04 pmRU, the internets is fast—-that blog only lasted about 75 minutes!!!

Awesome new blog, j! Heh.
December 10th, 2006 at 8:10 pm[…] Think Progress noted that all of the posts by the indicted Republican leader were removed and the comments turned shut down. […]
December 10th, 2006 at 8:22 pmAssclowns of the Week #53: “Junior, This is An Intervention” Edition is out. On the spit this week:
George Bush (7)
Ann Althouse (10)
Neil Cavuto (5)
The Iraq Study Group (1)
The United States Gov’t (3) and much, much more!
Personally, I think my best one in months, if not ever.
December 10th, 2006 at 8:27 pmWhatever happened to DeLay’s blog? Taken down, cancelled, closed to comments? What, Mr. Delay, can’t you take criticisms, differing opinions?
I bet Mr. DeLay is in his basement, curled in fetal position, sucking his thumb, wishing his pretty little eyes never, ever again have to read anything that is not shamelessly acclamatory.
Obviously that filter they were bragging about had one too many bugs. Funny for a former exterminator ;-)
December 10th, 2006 at 8:28 pmUPDATE: All of DeLay’s blog posts have been removed and comments have been shut off
What happened Tom, the door still hittin’ ya in the ass?
December 10th, 2006 at 8:38 pmThanks e-coli. Heh. What a joke.
December 10th, 2006 at 8:45 pmWent to congress.
Took a bribe.
Went back home.

December 10th, 2006 at 8:48 pmDoesn’t Tommie boy understand he and his crew was one of the main reasons that the American people said NO to him, his party, his fellow crew members and his president!
Tom your time has come and go!
The public wants nothing to do with your fascist ways, let alone your hypocrisy, bigotry, cynicism and hate mongering!
Go find a hole and craw in - and take this so called blog with you!
You can blog without comments - the good one and bad ones - it called democracy - something you know or don’t remember a thing about!
Got your comments turn off I see - to hot in the kitchen boy!
Guess it time you get out and make a living like the rest of us - for a change!
December 10th, 2006 at 8:52 pmOdd …
I did CtrlF on Tom’s biography page.
Was not able to find any of the following words:
accuse
accused
charge
conviction
crime
criminal
felony
indictment
sentence
sentencing
trial
Am I doing something wrong … ?
December 10th, 2006 at 8:55 pmi think i am going to post what i have in blog or something…the video is too long :(

December 10th, 2006 at 9:24 pmTom,
so after all this you cut and run from your own blog, heh? May your pea-gravel-size balls turn to sand, you imposter.
December 10th, 2006 at 9:39 pmI can’t believe I’m commenter #70 here, but #1 at the tomdelay.com site where the comments have been saved for posterity. Go over there NOW and show this guy some love. Thx.
December 10th, 2006 at 9:39 pme.coli - GOOD WORK! And great justice…to hijack the domain of a person who did everything he could to hijack democracy!!
December 10th, 2006 at 9:57 pmNo comments allowed…that’s how Republicans “debate.”
December 10th, 2006 at 10:16 pmDid anyone realize that it took an hour and 45 minutes to shut down the site? Talk about consistancy, it took Cheney about the same amount of time to let the attacks on 9/11 settle down. W is still pissed about UA Fight 93 - he had hoped that the White House would be taken out and he could have spent his entire presidency in Crawford. So much for the best laid plans of mice and men.
December 10th, 2006 at 10:22 pmI tried to create an account and got this: ” Identify yourself with this website. All requests to log into this website are logged. Repeated failed login attempts will result in lock out.”
But, couldn’t. Soooo scared…” All requests to log into this website are logged. I guess I should be expecting a visit from the Delay police. I can’t wait!
December 10th, 2006 at 10:24 pmAwsome j =)

December 10th, 2006 at 11:19 pm[…] Seems that Tom DeLay started up a blog, got hammered in the comments section and had to shut it down, all within about 75 minutes. Sorry Tom, you’re a has been. […]
December 10th, 2006 at 11:24 pmI certainly hope DeLay will reap the benefits of taxpayer assisted Christian guidance for convicted criminals serving time in our beautiful institutions. The only thing delaying this benefit is the prosecutors are covering-up for the weasel.
December 10th, 2006 at 11:39 pmYou, too, can join the fun telling me exactly what you think…

December 10th, 2006 at 11:49 pmIn 2000, while stumping for Al Gore, Bill Clinton declared that the Texas GOP platform “was so bad that you could get rid of every fascist tract in your library if you just had a copy.”
I love a good rallying cry.Keep up the good work people.

December 11th, 2006 at 2:53 amHowever the posts about “recent appearances”, like the hannity and Comes one, are still up and open it appears…looks like they have missed then for now, I guess they do not have this tubes thingy down yet, so they will have to call Senator Senile in Alaska again………LOL
December 11th, 2006 at 4:13 amI was able to post this there just now;
I guess little Tommy Boy does not like the TRUTH about what the people really think about his sorry ass does he?
He has to HIDE the truth from his eyes as usual, otherwise he would not have to censor the American People like THIS:
Comments posted by non-registered members will be subject to editor approval before appearing. Your comment will not appear until it has been cleared by a website editor.
Good going there Tommy Boy real “pravda” of you here.

December 11th, 2006 at 10:29 amGod almighty knows Tom has extrordinary skills. Blogging is so ‘Tom’. Be sure and write his site some of your questions, as they will have to at least screen them. We can entertain the screeners.

December 11th, 2006 at 3:21 pmAppears that ol’ Tom is back in business today…stop by an say hello.
December 11th, 2006 at 3:29 pmHis editor is not doing a very good job of filtering, lots of “liberal” comments and a few “good ‘ol boy” comments as well, about 30%. Won’t that 30% EVER get “it”? Delay is a liar and a thief! What is honorable about that? How can people still support him? What does it take, killing babies? Oh, wait, the 30% supports that too!

December 12th, 2006 at 2:17 pmWhat a disappointment. I mainly just wanted to tell Tom that his removal from public office was the single greatest improvement to American politics that could’ve possible occurred at that moment in history.
I also wanted to tell him that now would be a wonderful time to quietly enjoy more family time, or take a hooker run to the Marianas as the case may be, or generally just go away and STFU.
But now I won’t get the chance.
