Incoming Senate Intelligence Committee chair Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) plans to complete the three unreleased sections of their “Phase Two” report on the Bush administration’s use of prewar intelligence. Rockefeller told The Hill the report is “headed for circulation next year.” “One does not want to spend all one’s time looking back,” Rockefeller said, “but the history of all this evolution of the war has to be brought to full accountability.”
Thank you Senator.

From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocritics
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
Ive had enough of reading things

December 12th, 2006 at 11:34 amI can’t wait till 2007!! All the juicy details on how Bush raped America, Iraq, and the world are going to come out!! Get the popcorn ready folks..
December 12th, 2006 at 11:36 am“Full accountability”?!?!?
With Pres. Bush still in office?!?!?
Can you imagine!?!?!
December 12th, 2006 at 11:37 amYes!
December 12th, 2006 at 11:37 amWe need public hearings where these criminals are put under Oath, just so the public can see their lies fully exposed.
The “DECIDER” goes first !
No BOX on the back allowed !
No holding hands with Dick “bang…oops” Cheney during testimony !
December 12th, 2006 at 11:43 amIam sure historians wouldbe interested , I , we strongly suspect the culpability of the bushies including Roberts . I live in the present and the more pressing question is the generals and other experts who refuse defeat and say :let us have more blood in our hands and more raping of our treasury , after all we’re not paying for it , we are retired “
December 12th, 2006 at 11:46 amHindsight is critical in this case. Had careful consideration been taken into getting the decision right in the first place we wouldn’t be in the mess we are today.
It seems as now Bush is showing “careful consideration”, at least that is his given excuse for delaying an address to the nation to lay out the future direction for Iraq (which will undoubtedly look a lot like stay the course).
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/12/12/bush.iraq.ap/index.html
The problem is that with all of these delays since the November election we are seeing a piling up of deaths in Iraq — roughly 105 Americans just since the election. What is needed is action and what we are getting is delay. When will it ever end?
December 12th, 2006 at 11:50 amIMO, Bush should go LAST. Make him squirm. Let him wonder what others testified.
December 12th, 2006 at 11:50 amYay, now that Pat Roberts is off the case, some actual work will get done.
December 12th, 2006 at 11:51 amThe Iraq Document Library provides one-stop access to all the essential documents surrounding the Iraq war, pre-war intelligence and the hunt for weapons of mass destruction. This includes thIraq Stud Group report, the WMD findings of the Iraq Survey Group, as well as the report of the Robb-Silbermann Commission. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Phase I and Phase II reports on the uses – and misuses – of pre-war intelligence are also featured. Among other key materials are the Downing Street Memos, Colin Powell’s 2003 presentation to the United Nations and President Bush’s 2003 State of the Union Address.

It will be none too soon to see pat stonewall roberts fly the coop. What a disservice to his country he has been. Try traitor.
December 12th, 2006 at 11:59 amThis may be the path to impeachment and imprisonment for these war criminals.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:00 pmNow that friggin Pat Roberts is off the case, sheesh.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:02 pm11. Thanks for this.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:08 pm“One does not want to spend all one’s time looking back,â€
He says, as he works hard on his report about the past.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:09 pm“but the history of all this evolution of the war has to be brought to full accountability.â€
He says, as he works hard to do just that.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:14 pm“careful consideration” MEANS let’s Haliburton et al. make more profits while our poor men and women DIE!
December 12th, 2006 at 12:14 pmPatrioticLiberalChristian
Touche Sir, Touche.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:16 pm#16–
Not all one’s time–but the required amount to assess accountability for the greatest foreign policy debacle in US history *should* be spent.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:21 pmIt’s about friggin’ time.
December 12th, 2006 at 12:32 pmWasn’t Pat Roberts technically “off the case” this whole time?
December 12th, 2006 at 12:35 pmWhen something like this involves potential war crimes, you bet we want to see further investigations!
Some of us even want the Emperor to pay for his crimes. ITMFA!!!
December 12th, 2006 at 12:42 pmWow! Does anyone else think that Sen. Rockefeller might be thinking a little too ambitiously? How on earth does he think he can get that report out next year? Seriously, look how long it’s taken Pat Roberts to finish that report, and he’s still not done!
/sarcasm
December 12th, 2006 at 12:43 pmSo they are finally done cooking it up? What does it matter anyway?
December 12th, 2006 at 12:57 pmIt wasn’t being cooked at all. In fact. Phase II wasn’t even bought at the grocery store let alone anywhere near someplace that could cook it.
It matters because the current administration is guilty of war crimes.
December 12th, 2006 at 1:08 pmThey are going to find at least one thread, that, when unraveled, will reveal the Chimperor in all his guilty ass nakedness.
December 12th, 2006 at 1:57 pmDon’t even get me started on Darth Cheney…
Mmmmmaybe justice will finally be served upon the heads of Shrub-Dick.
December 12th, 2006 at 2:07 pmThis is a report that should have been released two years ago, but Sen. Roberts was stonewalling. The public should see it because one of these reports is going to be the final straw that breaks the back of the camel, and begins the motion for impeachment and criminal prosecution.
December 12th, 2006 at 4:56 pmPelosi and the Dems are saying the right thing by taking impeachment “off the table” but if evidence comes to light and public pressure demands it, then they will have no choice but to proceed — then they would be responding to the constituency; they wouldn’t be the initiators.
I hope he gives him the “Iran Determined to Attack the United States” report that he was keeping in his briefcase.
Jeesh! He should stay off the soy products the big pussy.
