If SMU allows the Bush Library of Disgrace, it will get what it deserves!
I live not far from the site and will be avoiding the area permanently as I don’t want to be reminded of the horrors perpetrated by bush and his henchmen; and, of course, don’t want to be blown up!

I think it is an excellent idea for SMU to get the BUSH library, don’t you?

Consider the possibilities: Bush goes down, SMU goes down. How bad would that be. Arrogance can’t last forever. Why can’t the people in charge at SMU see what Bush is doing? OR, do they like and support what Bush is doing? Either way would who want to attend an institution of HIGHER learing with people that support a person of BUSH’s moral standard.

Any HIGHER Education organization that would even consider aligning itself with a person of Bush’s lack of integrity, should accept the responsibility that results from that relationship. A bad reputation is a hard thing to reverse. They conducted themselves badly several years ago, and are just now climbing out of the hole. Wouldn’t it be to bad if through another bout with their collective conscience they fell back into the same hole.

Little king George W’s library is more appropriately placed at Levenworth than at an institution of higher learning.
If any institution accepts the offer, they clearly tell the world that truth, honesty and education at their school are secondary considerations; ergo, a valued education is best sought elsewhere.

Hopefully all of these idiots that are bashing President Bush did not go to SMU. They are the embarrassment to SMU. I guess this what you for trying to do what you think is best for the country. I will alway support the President and I am very excited about the library. These are also the same idiots who never go to the football games or other school events to support their school. Why would they want to support something positive for SMU? All of you Bush-Bashers get over it. You are non stop with your hatred. It is amazing how negative and hating you can be. You are all sheep to the left wing media. Look at the news today about the death of President Ford. Instead of having headlines about his achievements, the media is using it as another attempt to stick it to President Bush. Headlines read “Ford disagreed with Bush on Iraq”. Give me a break and stop the hate. This is good for SMU and Dallas.

As I said in my previous post on this topic, the University of Dallas and Baylor University, my employer, are SMU’s chief competitors for the Bush Library. Although there are faculty members at Baylor, including friends of mine, who are Democrats, strongly oppose some of President Bush’s policies, and/or are not enthusiastic champions of the library coming to Baylor, they are not averse to its presence on the Baylor campus. For they correctly see its historical and scholarly importance to the nation and the unique role that Baylor would have in being the academic steward of this project. This is not to say that there are not many faculty members like me who are strong proponents of the library coming to Baylor. Rather, my point is that there seems to be on the Baylor campus none of the visceral hostility that we see emanating from SMU’s faculty toward President Bush. This lieBrary should, and will, be built. And here’s the design so far:
It will be hard to find, like all the WMD in Iraq. Upon entering, you will be stripped naked, piled into human pyramids, and attacked by dogs. Once past this “Grand Entrance”, you’ll be introduced to the “Hall of Signing Statements”, a mostly barren room, decorated with finely shredded reproductions of the U.S. Constitution. From there, take a right (since there’s no “left”) into the 109th Congress Receiving Room, where an automated Rep. Foley will greet the males, and an automated Rep. ‘Duke’ Cunningham will greet the females. Patrons would do well to cover their private areas in this room.
Further to the right are more rooms: the Christian Prayer Museum, the Patriot Act Archive Room, and the 9-11-06 “I Saw The First Plane Hit the Tower from My Limousine” Room (complete with children’s desks and My Pet Goat copies). Further in, and further off to the right, is the Chicken Hawk Observatory, where you can see a panorama of VietNam from a loooooong ways off.
…at least that’s the design so far…

Why not a ‘W’ Library at SMU? It’d be fun. Have the workers misspelled ‘Libary’. Students could steal the ‘r’ and ‘y’ and replace them with an ‘l’. What fun!
But seriously, why not just a wing on Daddy’s or Pappa Reagan’s Library? He sure won’t be where he is without them?
Anyway, why worry? Haliburton would get the contract, and it’ll cost three times at much to build. Then the internal plumbing will leak (much like his Administration). If it’s a legacy building, karma will step in, and the place will go up in flames. Then we could park across the street, laughing,watching it burn, all Halloween orange and chimney red.

Bush needs a library–Laura will need something to do with her time, while he’s out doing whatever the hell it is he does once he leaves the White House. Bush during his press conferences looks like the guy giving a book report who never read the book. He needs a depository for his “papers”and “tapes”, e.g. the hanging chads, the warnings of an attack prior to 9/11, His mock search of the oval office for WMDs, signing statements, the Constitution is just a “damned scrap of paper”, mission accomplished speech, I don’t care about bin Laden, You’re doin a heck of a job, Brownie, stay the course and I’ve got political capital to spend and the #1 item–MY Pet Goat.
