    Comment by Flaco — December 18, 2006 @ 6:08 pm

Hobbits are quiet folk who keep to themselves and never travel outside the shire.

Trolls always want to stick their noses where they don’t belong.

    You aren’t quiet.

  19. kimmy says:

I only voted for you because I didn’t know (or wan’t to know) any other Bush supporting web site.

29 Roger – quit being such a buzz kill… you’re harshing my mellow.

  27. the fly-man says:

Doro at #28, I think trolls are more like gristle or fat, salt actually is an ingredient in a lot of recipes to reduce bitterness. Fat adds flavor but you don’t need very much and we know it’s not good for you in large quantities. Anyway congrats to my favorite political grokamisters.

  28. Zimzone says:

    Congratulations, Think Progress!
We must have made an impact, socially and politically if Cheeks McCain is considering banning blogs.
Keep up the good fight, everyone.
America’s foundation is freedom of speech. Neosluts and assorted trolls may think otherwise, but some sunlight up their posterior always brings out who they really are.
Blogs may have had the biggest impact of all in turning the congressional majority around in 2006.
It was a good year to voice one’s opinion, and by God, we were heard!
    See y’all in ‘07,

  29. Jason M. Hendler says:

For supposedly such a great website, where is your thread on the secession of several majore Episciple churches from the national organization, over the ordination of a gay bishop?

Once again, you try to drive change from the top, without the buy-in of the people, and your institution collapses. Again, I know your type all too well. If you can’t have what you want then you are happy to wreck that which opposes you, which is why you need to be destroyed. Eventually, you will accumulate enough enemies who have learned your tactics, and they will come to your house, and tear it down – sleep well.

  30. Zimzone says:

Happy Holidays to you too, Jason.
    We don’t hate you.
Actually, we feel sorry for you.
Do you have a disease or something? It must be terrible to wake up each day and have to blame others for one’s own shortcomings.
I usually don’t talk to trolls, but having been named Time magazine’s PERSON OF THE YEAR, I’m in a nurturing mood…
TP was named blog of the year for a very good reason; it follows the same logic as those who voted the Democrats into the majority in BOTH houses of congress.
Doesn’t that just make you want to go into someone’s house and tear it down? I thought so.
Jason, are you the same guy who starred in the horror movies? You know, the guy with the hockey mask on. That would certainly explain your anger with a site based on truth & logic.
    Pity the fool.
Take a deep breath, Jason. This is the way it’s going to be for many years to come.
You have two choices; suck it up & try to play nice, or go join the Marines.
    There.
    Any questions?

  31. unbelievable says:

For supposedly such a great website, where is your thread on the secession of several majore Episciple churches from the national organization, over the ordination of a gay bishop?

That’s important you and your fellow sheep Jason – it’s not worthy news in comparision to other issues – such as Iraq.

Besides, if you already know about it, then you don’t need TP to tell you again.

Once again, you try to drive change from the top, without the buy-in of the people, and your institution collapses.

That’s basically what happened to you guys on November 7th. You fell apart. It was the people who had bought into the system that made that change. So your comments don’t apply here. Only to your own party.

Again, I know your type all too well. If you can’t have what you want then you are happy to wreck that which opposes you, which is why you need to be destroyed.

You meant that you know YOUR type. Because we can’t be opposites if we are the same.

Eventually, you will accumulate enough enemies who have learned your tactics, and they will come to your house, and tear it down – sleep well.
    Comment by Jason M. Hendler — December 19, 2006 @ 8:52 am

Jason, nice history lesson for what happened to you neocons. But it can’t apply to a party that acts in opposition of yours.

Try something else. This was too easy.

  32. Jason M. Hendler says:

Typical, can’t address the issue, can’t admit when your “noble actions” are rejected, and cause the rank and file to revolt.

You won’t be able to hold your majority, because you won’t be able to disguise your actions in that congress. Meanwhile, Islamists will continue to slaughter the Sudanese Christians ….

  33. J.K. Bowman says:

Well Deserved! – Take A Bow!

  34. Zimzone says:

    Jason,
Is Mary Cheney the gay priest you’re talking about?

  35. unbelievable says:

Typical, can’t address the issue, can’t admit when your “noble actions” are rejected, and cause the rank and file to revolt.

That’s what happened to the Republicans on November 7th.

Otherwise, you are speculating that the same will happen to the Democrats – without acknowledging that they are the opposition…

You won’t be able to hold your majority, because you won’t be able to disguise your actions in that congress.

Says the person who said we could win elections. LOL. Give upon your psychic career, Miss Cleo, you’re not very good at it.

Meanwhile, Islamists will continue to slaughter the Sudanese Christians ….
    Comment by Jason M. Hendler — December 19, 2006 @ 9:26 am

And, in turn, American Christianist will contunie to slaughter innocent Iraqi Muslims.

You crazy religious people. Always going around killing other people, and then claiming to have a supporting god on your side, who is, ironically, ‘loving’. LOL…

  36. unbelievable says:

Says the person who said we could NOT win elections.

  37. Democrat Soldier says:

#36 – “You won’t be able to hold your majority, because you won’t be able to disguise your actions in that congress.”

Ummm. Isn’t this what happened to the Republicans in the House, Senate & State legislatures? It sure is!

It’s interesting that you see the actions of the Republicans in the Democratic party.

  38. Flaco says:

Stalin and Mao would be proud of all the atheists here at TP.
Excellent role models for crazy dogmatic progressives. The best slaughterers are atheist.
Who needs god to murder innocents??? Not atheists.

  39. June says:

Keep up the good work TP!!

  40. Democrat Soldier says:

#42 – Flaco, let me guess: you took “political spinning” classes from the fascists, right? Only someone as fascist as you obviously are would assume that someone who doens’t swallow your kool-aide MUST be an athiest.

Sorry, sweetie, but it’s only the Republicans who hate the first amendment. It’s the Democrats that fight for your ability to spread your calumny and mendacity.

  41. unbelievable says:

Considering in a country with 15% non-relious people, there are less than 1% of us in prison. This fact disproves your babble…

In fact, go actually read the bible you thump. You’ll find all the violence you speak about in there.

Mass executions and other atrocities credited to atheists.

Christians killing Muslims… yes, I’ve noticed. Thanks for validating my point of view even further.

  47. unbelievable says:

Flaco – just for your ignorant ass – a quick lesson on Communism.

Karl Marx was speculating on what would evolve out of capitalism. He idealistically believed in a great equalizer of wealth that would lead to communism.

Russia, China, Cuba and the rest were never Capitialistic. They were egrarian. Therefore, they were not actually communists.

Just because they used Atheism to oppress their people does not mean that Atheism is a doctine – much less one that condones oppression. It’s not. And it does not.

Be a good boy and I’ll tell you what Atheism really is…

But I’ll give you a break first. I know your pea brain can only handle small chunks of information at one time…

  48. Flaco says:

Touch a sore spot huh unbelievable
    Heh
Atheism is a doctrine/ideology. Look at the “ism” idiot.

You mean no atheist in the armed services.

My what a interesting world u live in.

If u represent atheism no thanks.
No one is interested in your small bigoted brain farts.

Tell that to all the dead f*ckers who lived under the atheistic/USSR.

  52. little birdie says:

This is off of this thread – House Armed Services Chairman ‘Extremely Concerned’ With Iraq Escalation Plans -Dec. 18 ,2006

Available in older posts section for free and at absolutely no charge. You have to read the whole thread to appreciate it.It`s a real gem.

Not so fast;I have one thing I’d like to add to this discussion.

Atleast twice in the last 50 posts, unbelievable said that she ‘doesn’t lie’.
Yet she told me,thus everyone else on this blog, last spring, that her Mother was dead. This turned out NOT to be TRUE.
Now answer your own question: What kind of person would say that about their own Mother just for the sake of winning an argument?
Now you all are beginning to see why I’ve had such acrimony with her in the past.

Just for the record,BnF, I never, ever, insulted her Mother, that’s if you were referring to something I might have said.
She told me her Mom was dead after I said she probably lives at home with her Mom.
All this can be found in the archives.
This is who you are dealing with, and she has no respect.

    Trueblue,

Of course, Unbelievable is offended by any remark about sexuality:

    Men’s peak is 17, and women’s is 40. I’m guessing I’m closer to 40 than you are to 17? :)

    Comment by unbelievable — April 17, 2006 @ 4:03 pm

    and:

I think it’s a plot by women in their 40’s so they can get 17 year old men :)

    Comment by Tundra — April 17, 2006 @ 4:19 pm

I assure you, that’s mostly a guy fanatasy. As men age they get better in other ways. :)

    Comment by unbelievable — April 17, 2006 @ 4:29 pm

    and this:

If a course is called “Shaving your legs” there is no reason to discuss how to braid leghair (That’s for unbelievable)

    Comment by Tundra — April 17, 2006 @ 8:34 pm

Flirting with me again, I see ; )

    Comment by unbelievable — April 17, 2006 @ 8:49 pm

    finally capped of by this:

If I were asked for a one line answer to the question “What makes a woman good in bed?” I would say, “A man who is good in bed.”

    - – Bob Guccione (1978)

    Comment by unbelievable — April 18, 2006 @ 4:51 pm

    and the email Unbelievable misquotes?

“If I were asked for a one line answer to the question “What makes a woman good in bed?” I would say, “A man who is good in bed.”
    - – Bob Guccione (1978)
    Comment by unbelievable ”

amen to that!!! (care to put the hypothesis to a test? —just kidding…)

Perhaps it is Unbelievable who is envious of my spirituality. She has derided the thought of breathing a cloud away, yet I’ve taught others to do so as well.

Perhaps she was offended because I was just kidding. After all, I have mentioned on these boards that I wear a kilt. And you know what they say about a woman scorned. I mean, to take what I wrote and somehow twist that into insinuating that I, a married man, was interested in having an adulterous affair with someone who lives a couple of thousand miles away takes either dimentia, a great imagination, or wishful thinking.

And Trueblue, as you can see, a shaman would say “Amen.”

There’s another word, a greeting, I say to you:

    Namaste.
