What President Bush called a question this morning about the possibility that he may increase troop levels in Iraq against the wishes of military leaders.

There are only three small considerations to be dealt with here:
1) Most Iraqis want U.S. troops out of their country;
2) All but 12% of Americans want U.S. troops out of Iraq;
3) If he does go ahead and escalate deployments, the moderate Democrats in Congress, who have been content to this point to stand on the sidelines and watch Bush self-destruct, will cut off funding for the war, if not outright impeach his criminal ass.
But other than those small considerations, it’s an excellent plan.
