at his Crawford ranch. White House advisers say Bush will deliver his Iraq speech “sometime between New Year’s and his State of the Union address on Jan. 23.” “Two defense officials” said yesterday “that some sort of troop increase appears likely,” but the size and nature of the escalation “still has to be worked out.”
C’mon Dumbya, you can do it, ignore all the sage advice, you freakin’ imbecile.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:10 pmCrawford TX. President George W. Bush has made the executive decision to hold a series of non-decisional meetings in an effort to decide how best to “move forward” in the process of making a decision about each and every decision of how and where to hold the next series of high level non-decisional meetings about exactly which decision or series of decisions he needs to make in order to “seek additional input,” and “put him a step closer” to making a decision on Iraq. Following this statement he turned to Vice President Dick Cheney for approval.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:11 pmBush is busy holding “non-decisional†Iraq meetings
New code word for a beer drinking, shrub clearing, Condi sharing weekend for the boys at Crawford Ranch.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:12 pmYeah, the “meetings are going well”, they served good food, we got along, and the water glasses were kept well filled.

That’s a good Daily Show headline. Bush: The Non-Decider
December 28th, 2006 at 4:17 pm#2…kdoug…hilarious!
December 28th, 2006 at 4:18 pmThe Dems will be able to end all this madness by refusing to fund the Iraq Occupation. They will have their opportunity in the spring when Bush will ask for $160 billion more to continue his mistake. Call your democratic leaders DAILY and tell them to stop the madness.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:19 pmFrom Dennis Kucinich…
KUCINICH: Someone has to rally the American people, to let them know that the money is there right now to bring our troops home. Democrats were put in power in November to chart a new direction in Iraq. It’s inconceivable that having been given the constitutional responsibility to guide the fortunes of America in a new direction, that Democratic leaders would respond by supporting the administration’s call for up to $160 billion in new funding for the war in Iraq.
For me this is a call of conscience to stand up and speak out about what’s going on—to let the American people know that the money is there to bring our troops home now, that we need to begin now to take a new direction in Iraq, and that to pass a supplemental in the spring for another $160 billion would keep the war going until the end of George Bush’s term. Someone needs to stand up and speak out, and I decided it was my responsibility as the person who has been consistently opposed to this war since its inception, who has been a leader in challenging this thinking that led to war, that I would stand up and rally Democrats to change the course that the party has embarked on with respect to continued funding of the war.
TRUTHDIG: This is obviously your major issue, but what other issues are you going to base your campaign on?
KUCINICH: We have to take these things in sequence. From now until the spring, this is the issue: $160 billion is more than three times what the federal education budget is. This is a huge amount of money, and all the other hopes we have as Democrats to create a new agenda for the American people in housing, in healthcare, in education, are going to be destroyed by the administration’s request for $160 billion.
Full interview:
December 28th, 2006 at 4:21 pmhttp://www.truthdig.com/interview/item/20061212_rep_kucinich_running_president/
“Bush said one of his resolutions for the new year is that the troops will be safe and that the United States would come closer to its goal in 2007 of having an Iraq that can sustain independence and govern itself.”
A new Year resolution broken on the first day probably or did he have his fingers crossed and not really mean it
December 28th, 2006 at 4:23 pmNow why should we have to pay to fly his sorry butt to Texas just for some “non-decisional” meetings (we call them “parties” in the business world.)? He could just as easily ignore their advice from the White House and save the taxpayers lots of money.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:23 pmMy Bush: “As the Decider, I’ve decided not to decide, which I can do because I get to decide. So I want to be clear before some reporter, especially some pretty dressed reporter man — you know who you are — twists my words again. I’m the decider so it’s my decision to decide or not decide.”
I bet Rummy and Georgie used to have such wonderful conversations.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:26 pmRummy: “You don’t know what you don’t know”
Bush: “I don’t reall know anything”
Rummy: “Exactly!”
Bush: “So, I’m right?”
Rummy: “Yes you are, and so am I, and we are all right together.”
Bush: “I love you man”
Look for more non-decisional meetings for at least 2 years.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:27 pmGreat news Just in
Saddam may not hang soon
Iraqi officials have backed away from suggestions that they will hang Saddam Hussein within a month, amid speculation that the government is divided over whether to execute the former leader quickly.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:30 pmI’m wondering: Is a “non-decisional meeting” better than a “non-meeting decision” like the ones he’s been making?
December 28th, 2006 at 4:30 pmBush to announce statement
we will definitely maybe be sending in more troops possibly
December 28th, 2006 at 4:32 pmSo three years of invasion and occupation, daily briefings (I hope), Iraq Study Group, Pantagon’s Study and the generals’ advice and Bush is having weeks of “non-decisional” meetings while more servicemen are being killed. This is the “leader” of the free world? He is delaying a decision for political reasons. It’s too close to the release from the Iraq Study Group saying we should get out of there. Sickening.

December 28th, 2006 at 5:13 pmDubya has NEVER been the Decider!! Follow the logic below:
Poppi and Barbi’s genes decided his sex (Male, maybe?)
Poppi decided to buy Dubya’s sheepskin at Yale (Damn! They must be happy they sold that diploma!).
Poppi decided to buy his way into the NG to keep Dubya out of Harm’s way during Vietnam (But maybe Dubya DID decide to go AWOL by his ownself).
Pudgeboy Rover decided to make him Texas Gov and then along with Darth Cheney, decided to make him their sockpuppet President.
Ms. Domm SecofShoes Rice decided to make him her Sub.
The NeoCons decided to have a little war in Iraq and let him be Chimp-in-Charge.
The ‘awl’ compnees decided there was no global warming and they needed to have higher prices.
Halliburton decided they wanted a few hundred billion more income, so they let him remain C-in-C a while longer.
The Repugs decided to give him another 4 years, as his first 4 were SOOO much fun! (Howz that working out for us all, anyway?)
So see, he hasn’t really decided much on his own, at all. And the current behavior shouldn’t come as such a surprise to any of us.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:13 pmCRAWFORD, United States (AFP) – The White House expects ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to be executed perhaps as early as Saturday, a senior official said on condition of anonymity.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:21 pmWhy would they announce they’re having “non-decisional” meetings? Isn’t that rather stupid in the first place?
Why not have people think they’re working hard — rather than hardly working?
December 28th, 2006 at 5:21 pmIs this a joke? A “non-decisional ‘decision’ meeting” or just more Bushwellian speak? I’m really tiring of this level of drivel and convolution of the english language. This makes the people leery and weary!
December 28th, 2006 at 5:25 pmDoes this qualify as an oxymoron? Or just a group of “morons” taking oxycontin?

December 28th, 2006 at 5:26 pmI guess the “non-decider decider” would logically engage in “non-decisional decision meetings….this stuff gets so nauseating that it’s becoming absolutely comical.

Because, you know it’s just so important that we have more people dying there. I will never understand people like the president who believe that killing people solves things. I thought these Bush guys called themselves “pro-life”. Why are they so anxious to see someone put to death if they’re such big “supporters” of “life”? Or is that just more of that Orewellian “double speak” that they think we haven’t caught onto yet?
December 28th, 2006 at 5:38 pmHey ! Chimp!
December 28th, 2006 at 5:39 pmThe decision is easy.
Grab the stick on the right side of the steering wheel
Pull down until the letter R shows up in the center of the dashboard.
Push the accelerator all the way to the floor, while staring absently straight ahead. Continue until truck is fully embedded in thorny brush.
Continue further until escape is impossible.
What is non-decisional — a new word by the decider?
December 28th, 2006 at 5:48 pmTake a good look at that sorry group who stood before reporters today – Bush took no questions – probably a good idea because none of them looked very pleased.
They will meet, Bush will discuss his favorite foods, the others will discuss Iraq and then Bush will do whatever he feels in his gut. That’s where he does his thinking – maybe that explains his frequent discussions about food.
There you have it folks; Bush working hard planning a plan for a plan.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:48 pm#36- Those are also the lyrics to an old Jimmy Durante song.
The delay in Bush’s announcement could be because he and his wife are trying to convince the twins to do their patriotic duty by signing up for the Army. They are trying to persuade their daughters that if members of the Army can do three tours of duty in Iraq, the least they can do is serve one tour in Iraq. It would also be a way for Jenna and Barbara to work on their tan.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:53 pmHmm, maybe this “non decisional” meeting is a euphemism for “It’s New Year’s Eve so let’s party!” We’ll all be too drunk to think about decisions.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:53 pmCould be, but then a lot of people make poor decisions while drunk. That’s how I got here!
Good night everyone and enjoy a safe holiday weekend. I’m out until Tuesday.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:57 pmAccording to the latest CNN polling, only 11% of those polled agree with increasing troop levels in Iraq. Therefore, I expect Bush’s decision to involve increasing troop levels in Iraq. Just another big f-you to the American people as usual.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:58 pmWhat is the drinking age in Iraq? That may be the best incentive to get the Bush twins to go.
December 28th, 2006 at 5:58 pmWayne and Jane – Happy New Year, perhaps a lucky 07!
December 28th, 2006 at 5:59 pmThis is too cavalier and too slow a pace. I believe that we are about to receive the biggest slap in the face that this president and the administration has yet delivered. Whatever the “plan” is that Bush will announce, I feel that it is going to contain four key components:
1) An escalation of troops and activities in Iraq.
2) An expansion of the conflict to include Iran and/or Syria.
3) A bogus and completely arbitrary “completion dateâ€.
4) An organized suppression of dissent or opposition by utilizing the Patriot Act, Authorization for Use of Military Force, and the Military Commissions Act of 2006.
I feel that it cannot be a coincidence that all the necessary components and resources are in place for these things to happen. And I really cannot see any other explanation for the current actions of the administration. Drunken incompetence is fun to joke about as a possibility, but definitely not realistic.
I hope that I am wrong, mind you.
December 28th, 2006 at 6:00 pm“1) An escalation of troops and activities in Iraq.

I hope Bush does that!
December 28th, 2006 at 6:02 pmBush will escalate the war in a delusional attempt to prove that he is the great decider and that the American people were wrong when they voted in the Democrats. He’s still out to prove himself at the expense and death of the rest of us.
December 28th, 2006 at 6:05 pmI swear when I saw the title to this blog entry it said “delusional” not “non-decisional”.
I am confused though how can “The Decider” possibly have non-decisional anythings?

December 28th, 2006 at 6:09 pmThe Decider has decided not to decide.
It seems Pres Bush was for deciding before he was against it.
This is decidedly another flip-flop.
(sorry, I couldn’t resist ;-) )
December 28th, 2006 at 6:11 pmYes, it is the Bushco Boyz and Girlz, not the people of the US doing this. Only 11% are supporting the Clown Prince of Crawford at the moment.
And he doesn’t care about who goes to their death… as long as it isn’t anyone he or the rest of the Bushco NeoCons knows. Makes it easier to cash all those big checks from Hallliburton and the rest of the enablers who are ponying up to build the Bush Liberry at good ol’ SMU.
Kinda nice when you decide to not read the papers and don’t have to see the military obits in the Crawford Weekly, huh?
December 28th, 2006 at 6:12 pmSaddam Hussein’s chief lawyer implored world leaders today to prevent the US from handing over the ousted leader to Iraqi authorities for execution, saying the former dictator should enjoy protection from his enemies as a “prisoner of war”.
“According to the international conventions it is forbidden to hand a prisoner of war to his adversary,” said Saddam’s lawyer, Khalil al-Dulaimi.
“I urge all the international and legal organisations, the United Nations secretary-general, the Arab League and all the leaders of the world to rapidly prevent the American administration from handing the president to the Iraqi authorities,” he said.

December 28th, 2006 at 6:15 pmPutting 20,000 new troops into Baghdad to “quell” ethnic violence.
This means an end to commerce, as checkpoints between every neighborhood will preclude any goods moving in or out of these areas.
We saw what the 7,000 troop surge did a few months ago. Nada.
so we’ll get nada * 3.
Except we’ll also attack Al Sadr’s militia and set off the cataclysm of having both Shiia and Sunni attacking American troops, cutting the supply line to Kuwait.
This will be another ill thought out, what me the f*ck worry plan.
Have fun non-deciding what you’ve already decided. DCehcyimdper
A couple of Bush excerpts
“I fully understand that it’s important to have both Republicans and Democrats understanding the importance of this mission.”
Translation – I don’t understand why the Democrats are against my vision of an Imperial American ME Empire?
“It’s important for the American people to understand that success in Iraq is vital for our own security. If we were not to succeed in Iraq, the enemy — the extremists, the radicals — would have safe haven from which to launch further attacks. They would be emboldened. They would be in a position to threaten the United States of America.â€
Translation – Let’s see how much complete BS these facking idiots are willing to swallow.
Get this straight, there were no terrerists in Iraq until our occupation.
There are many more Sunni insurgents than al Qaeda blowing shit up.
The Shiite majority has no interest in guaranteeing democratic freedoms to the Sunni or Kurdish minorities.
Who the fack would be emboldened?? How would they threaten us from a sectarian ravaged tatters of the former nation of Iraq?
He’s absolutely delerious with his own visions. Insane.
December 28th, 2006 at 6:48 pmSad bit is, Bush has already decided what he wants to do. He is doing a little dog and pony show, to pretend he cares what American wants. He will do exactly what he wants to do, unless he is told no.

December 28th, 2006 at 9:30 pmInteresting thought that this “non-decisional meeting is one of those rare times that you have both Cheney and Bush in the same area with prior acknowledgement to the public via the press. Next guaranteed time is the State of the Union address Jan (23?). Considering Bush’s comments prior to the election that both Rumsfeld and Cheney would be with him through the end of his term..and then he fired Rummey the day after the Nov. 7th elections….ah,my little conspiratal mind is running rampant.

December 28th, 2006 at 9:52 pmHere is Cheneys/Bushes Battle Plans for Iraq In The next few days please read this as things are in Motion
The Darwin Principle, Beltway version, basically says that Washington should stop trying to get Sunnis and Shiites to get along and instead just back the Shiites, since there are more of them anyway and they’re likely to win in a fight to the death. After all, the proposal goes, Iraq is 65 percent Shiite and only 20 percent Sunni.
Sorry, Sunnis.
So, where is the Darwin Principle coming from?
Well, there’s no proof Cheney really even backs back it. Unnamed government officials with knowledge in the matter say the proposal comes from his office, but they stop short of saying it comes from Cheney himself.
Darwin? Try Machiavelli.
An even more far-fetched offshoot of the Darwin Principle is floating around, which some hawks have tossed out in meetings, although not seriously. It holds that America could actually hurt Iran by backing Iraq’s Shiites; that could deepen the Shiite- Sunni split and eventually lead to a regional Shiite-Sunni war. And in that, the Shiites — and Iran — lose because, while there are more Shiites than Sunnis in Iraq and Iran, there are more Sunnis than Shiites almost everywhere else.
The best way to acheive this is to execute Saddam and Next Kill one of Sadrs Close friends in front of his family
These two have been done ……… Next week expect world war 3

I believe this is the news piece you are referring to:
President Bush worked nearly three hours at his Texas ranch on Thursday to design a new U.S. policy in Iraq, then emerged to say that he and his advisers need more time to craft the plan he’ll announce in the new year.
Bush taking more time to craft Iraq plan
People keep lowering the bar for Pres Bush: Even the fact that the president worked for almost three hours is deemed newsworthy nowadays. The worst part is that they say it without a hint of irony.
I guess they expect us to be jubilant about his plans to keep working on his new policy on Iraq. No mention that it is long overfue. Like three years overdue…. (shaking my head in disbelief)
December 28th, 2006 at 10:21 pmYou’d think that the men and women who are dying in Iraq deserve a bit more than three hours brain time from Der Leader. But, Der Leader doesn’t have that many brain cells left…
December 29th, 2006 at 12:12 amJail all those war profiteering and the mess in Iraq would clear up.
December 29th, 2006 at 12:41 amWhy is everyone trying to find logic in the presidents policies and speeches? Maybe your missing the big picture? From my perspective its easy to see where this is all going. GWB is the chimp, but those people at PNAC are not messing around:
Executive Order Numbers and Meaning:
10900 – Allows the government to take control over all modes of transportation, highways, and seaports.
10995 – Allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
10997 – Allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
10998 – Allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.
11000 – Allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
11001 – Allows the government to take over all health, education, and welfare functions.
11002 – Designates the Postmaster General to operate national registration of all persons.
11003 – Allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
11004 – Allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, and designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
11005 – Allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.
11051 – Specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
11310 – Grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
11049 – Assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen-year period.
11921 – Allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and flow of money in the U.S.A. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when the President declares a state of emergency, Congress cannot review the action for six months.
People should look at the John W. Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2006 (PL 109-364), The Act “has a provocative provision called ‘Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies’,” the thrust of which “seems to be about giving the federal government a far stronger hand in coordinating responses to [Hurricane] Katrina-like disasters,” Jeff Stein, CQ National Security Editor wrote December 1, 2006.
“But on closer inspection, its language also alters the two-centuries-old Insurrection Act, which Congress passed in 1807 to limit the president’s power to deploy troops within the United States … ‘to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy’,”.
Rex 84, short for Readiness Exercise 1984, was a plan by the United States federal government to test their ability to detain large numbers of American citizens in case of massive civil unrest or national emergency. Exercises similar to Rex 84 happen periodically. Plans for roundups of persons in the United States in times of crisis are constructed during periods of increased political repression such as the Palmer Raids and the McCarthy Era. For example, from 1967 to 1971 the FBI kept a list of persons to be rounded up as subversive, dubbed the “ADEX” list
And the bill that brings it all together HR 6166 the Military Commissions Act of. 2006:
1. revokes habeas corpus
2. create a secret committee appointed by Bush and Rumsfeld that has the power to declare any person – even a US citizen – to be an enemy, instantly depriving them of their legal rights. There will be no appeal allowed.
3. allow police to search through your home without a search warrant
4. end protection of prisoners of war under the Geneva Conventions
5. give George W. Bush amnesty for any war crimes he has committed
6. allow for people to be put on trial in front of a kangaroo court military tribunal, even if they aren’t in any military, and have not engaged in military attacks against the USA
7. allow the government to convict people of crimes on the basis of secret evidence that the accused never sees
8. make it legal for the government to use testimony extracted through torture
9. end the legal right to be protected from forced self-incrimination
10. allow the government to imprison people without telling them what crimes they are being charged with
11. remove the right to cross-examine witnesses
12. allow for the records of trials to be kept secret from the American public
13. enable trials to begin even before a thorough investigation of the alleged crime has taken place
14. take away the right to a speedy trial, allowing people to fester behind bars without being charged of any crime
Just something to think about in the new year. This blog is pretty funny, but this shit isn’t funny…please think.
December 29th, 2006 at 1:15 amLacking a strategy in the present, failed leaders like George W. Bush will simply resort to a citing a date for concocting one in the future. In a nutshell, at each point that you fail to turn the corner, just create new corners.

All of us need to focus and not get sidestepped by the Lynn Cheney’s, and the Foley’s of this world. This periphery stuff is just a shell game to keep you occupied while the real nasty stuff is being perpetrated right in front of our eyes.
To all…It’s apparent that Bush is a moron, and he probably believes what is feed to him, but to think that his policies are of ill design would be tragic. Instability in the Middle East is the goal. The prize is a puppet Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq to control the oil, and it’s people. The ultimate goal is to destabilize China.
This move for world domination started long ago, and we are just seeing the fruits of that endeavor. If anyone still thinks that 9/11 was perpetrated from a cave in Afghanistan, and 4 airlines where allowed to fly for up to 1.5hrs without intervention while under hostile control are fooling themselves. This was a staged event to usurp the remaining barriers that have hindered this New World Order. Long ago the NWO has seen that their agenda wouldn’t be popular so needed a way to remove that threat. This happened on 9/11 (Northwood’s document, PNAC, REX 84, HR6166…).
The only way to stop this is to engage people that this is happening, and to be understanding that people want to hold on to the belief that America could never do this, that this president knows something more then we, and he is fighting the “enemy” for the best interest of all free people.
“But on closer inspection, its language also alters the two-centuries-old Insurrection Act, which Congress passed in 1807 to limit the president’s power to deploy troops within the United States … ‘to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy’,” Stein wrote
