The lives of THOUSANDS of our young people have been wasted for George W. Bush’s vanity war. This will continue as along as he is in office — he has said so himself. This entire administration must be removed ASAP.
Even though im not religous, I have to believe that something profoundly horrible MUST happen to bush and others in his administration. Death would be far to easy for this man who has never once in his life paid for any mistakes.
Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has been executed, according to two Arabic language media outlets.
Saddam had to be tried in Iraq. International War Crimes Tribunals can only impose life imprisionment without parole. But Bush wanted the death penalty. Saddam was used and executed by the United States. Granted, he was one of the most horrible dictators in modern times.
Some of his victims will rejoice in his execution. Others will just feel empty. But to his supporters, Saddam is a martyr. He will be greater in death than in life.
Around 3/4 of a million people are dead because Bush wanted to kill Saddam. Bush’s War was unjustified from the onset, and Bush knew it. Facts had to be fixed, around the policy of going to war. During Bush’s War, Americans tortured innocent people, and tortured people to death. Americans raped and murdered civilians. America used nuclear (depleted uranium) and chemical (white phosphorus) weapons, as well as cluster bombs, in civilian areas. America has held civilians in prison for years without so much as a hearing, in contravention of our international treaties.
We have paid, and will continue to pay a terrible price for Bush’s War.
I know there will be some Americans who will cheer over Saddam’s death. I doubt they will be so exhuberant when it’s Bush’s turn at the gallows.
#5 I have to believe that something profoundly horrible MUST happen to bush and others in his administration. Death would be far to easy for this man who has never once in his life paid for any mistakes.
I am not religious either, but I so want to believe this.
Saddam has been without power and in his prison cell for sometime now…hanging him is not big news…he was powerless anyway. What we need to worry about is how to solve the problems at hand that resulted from toppling Saddam…now that he is dead, no WMDS in Iraq, no link to 9/11 ..what is next?
I send holiday greetings to all Muslims gathered to celebrate Eid al-Adha.
For Muslims in America and around the world, Eid al-Adha is an important occasion to give thanks for their blessings and to remember Abraham’s trust in a loving God. During the four days of this special observance, Muslims honor Abraham’s example of sacrifice and devotion to God by celebrating with friends and family, exchanging gifts and greetings, and engaging in worship through sacrifice and charity.
America is a more hopeful Nation because of the talents, generosity, and compassion of our Muslim citizens. This holiday reminds us of the values that so many of our citizens hold in common, including love of family, gratitude to God, the importance of community, and a commitment to respect, diversity, tolerance, and religious freedom.
Laura and I offer our best wishes for a memorable holiday.
GEORGE W. BUSH
He’s given them a memorable holiday alright. Some will certainly view this day as the day a puppet regime hanged the President of Iraq at the behest of the United States Government.

How could he? How could he possibly make that statement? This whole thing makes me feel faint. This is going to be very bad….
Karma, interesting you should mention Pinochet. From the Amnesty International site:
Augusto Pinochet faces charges of torture and conspiracy to torture in Spain, including “disappearances”, crimes against humanity in Belgium, and “disappearances” in France and Switzerland. “Disappearances” constitute the crime of torture for the families of the “disappeared.” Amnesty International said that the case has far-reaching implications both for victims of the Chilean military government and for the world-wide efforts to ensure that people suspected of torture and other human rights violations are brought to justice in the course of proceedings that meet international standards of fairness.
And how many people have disappeared into “black sites” under the Bush Regime? There’s more:
No turning back in the global fight against impunity | 2 March 2000
The fight against impunity for crimes against humanity, such as torture and “disappearance”, will continue in Chile and elsewhere in the world, Amnesty International said today commenting on Augusto Pinochet’s imminent return to Chile.
“The fact that Augusto Pinochet was arrested while travelling abroad — almost unthinkable just 16 months ago — has sent a powerful message: no one is above international law, even when national laws protect you from prosecution,” Amnesty International said.
Congress may have protected Bush from prosecution under national laws when it passed the Military Commissions Act, but, as you can see with the filing of charges in Germany against Rumsfeld, it cannot protect him from international war crimes charges.
Pinochet was returned to Chile and eventually put under house arrest. Although he took full responsibility for his crimes in November of 2006, he died of a heart attack less than a month later, precluding a full trial and public execution.
That pistol of Saddam’s is now priceless, or near to it. Bush should disgorge it, as it is ill-gotten gains. Sell it on EBay, and give the proceeds to the three thousandth soldiers’ family.
Hanging Saddam was easy for Bush, but later today Iraqi Sunnis will retaliate all across Iraq, so how many of our soldiers will be killed and wounded for Bush’s personal vengence against Saddam today?
And what would Bush say if somehow enraged Iraqis are able to strike the US mainland in revenge?
WWII was a war against genuine and formidable enemies of the US, not a poorly-planned occupation of a third-rate dictatorship in order to control its oil. The people of Europe supported our involvement and viewed us as liberators, a far cry from what is happening now. I hold Bush directly responsible for the 2,993 US dead in Iraq because it is an unnecessary war fought as a consequence of his grandiose delusions and lying justifications.
As my father, who is 90 and was in the South Pacific in 1942-44 wrote to me in an joking email this morning, “Impeachment: It’s Not Just for Blowjobs Anymore”.
And, by the way, Pearl Harbor was in 1941 and killed 2403, per wikipedia.
May God/Allah have mercy on him.

So, God gave the possibility to Saddam to exist, to become a military men, to make friends in the US, to buy them chemical weapons, to gas millions of people (kurds and persians), to invade Kuwait, to let iraqis starved to death because of all the bombings and embargoes suffered by US, to endure the US invasio, hide in a hole, be put on trial and now be hanged…and now God have to be merciful?
I really dont understand the logic behind the idealization of a God. Sorry. Its nothing against you, robert. I just took it from your post.

I dont remember the whole conversation but I was astonished for something he said: “For all the pain we caused to the world, we had to pay. We worked for almost 30 years eating almost nothing but rice, we couldnt play or enjoy. WE had to pay money for our mistakes And this came from a person who must have been a little kid, so he wasnt talking like he fought in the war, nonetheless he felt that burden. Of course not, Juan. Don’t be silly. This is the reason why the Pentagon doesn’t “do” body counts of Iraqis. They are expendable.
It is also the reason why the terribly harsh conditions of everyday life in Iraq is absent from US news, why the bombs and death toll are related in a cold -almost clinical- way, and why Iraqis’ opinion does not count when deciding whether or not the occupation should continue (read any troll’s post and you will see what I mean). The commiseration you are most likely to ever hear/read is about American casualties, and over how this occupation has affected Americans. It is always about “us”; the hell with “them”.

You will find the same attitude in middle aged to older Germans and Austrains (and to a lesser extent, all Europeans) regarding the Holocaust. There’s a collective “never again” attitude in Europe towards genocide. That was, I believe, the primary motivation behind NATO stepping into the conflict in Yugoslavia/Herzcosovenia (sp?). The Christians were committing genocide against the Muslims, and NATO took the side of the Muslims in that conflict.
The commiseration you are most likely to ever hear/read is about American casualties, and over how this occupation has affected Americans. It is always about “usâ€; the hell with “themâ€.

I dont want to be pushy, but a lot of well-intended US citizens, and Im not judging because its perfectly understandable, lean to that motto but taking out the: the hell with them.
It is really sad than in these days, with all the technology at hand, we should be relying on corporate media ti know what is happening in other parts of the world. Thats why independent foreign films, documentaries or even music videos from artists not in the mainstream (or as NOFX would say: the medio-cores) are becoming so important for us to grasp the whole picture.
The US and Europe will doubtless continue their (to an extent, competing) efforts to incorporate Serbia along with the rest of the Balkans into the Western-run neoliberal system, with the cooperation of elite elements that will benefit by linkage to Western power and with the likely effects of undermining independent economic development and functioning democracy, and harming a good part (probably considerable majority) of the population, with the countries expected to provide cheap human and material resources and markets and investment opportunities, subordinated to Western power interests. Serious struggles are barely beginning, as elsewhere.

According to a Wonkette operative who heard this from two different sources, Republican Senator Kit Bond is going to bail on the Hill and become Chief Lord of the University of Missouri.
In a dastardly move that won’t change the Balance of Power (unless it also involves somebody sneaking into Tim Johnson’s hospital room), Republican and Missourah Guv Matt Blunt will do a Dick Cheney and appoint himself to the Senate seat.

Military Times Poll: ONLY 35% OF THE MILITARY APPROVE OF BUSH’S HANDLING OF THE WAR
* Nearly 3/4 think today’s military is stretched too thin to be effective *
- The American military has grown
increasingly pessimistic about chances for victory.
Only 35% of the military members polled this year said they approve of the way President Bush is handling the war.
Just as telling, only 41% of the military said the U.S. should have gone to war in Iraq in the first place.
That closely reflects the beliefs of the general population today — 45 percent agreed in a recent USA Today/Gallup poll.
..Less than half think we need more troops in Iraq than we have there now.
..They take a dim view of civilian military leadership — only 32 percent said they think it has their best interests at heart. And only 23 percent think Congress is looking out for them.
While President Bush always portrays the war in Iraq as part of the larger war on terrorism, many in the military are not convinced.
..One contentious area of military life in the past year has been the role religion should play. Some troops have complained that they feel pressure to attend religious services. Others have complained that chaplains and superior offi cers have tried to convert them.
Clearly, Bush ordered a rush on Saddam’s execution to block stuff like that from being reported in the media. The media being such dutiful, compliant lapdogs for the White House have been doing non-stop coverage of Saddam’s hanging. All at a time when an American President (Gerald Ford) is on record for saying that “BUSH, CHENEY AND RUMSFELD MADE A MISTAKE WITH IRAQ AND STARTING A WAR WITH THAT COUNTRY WASN’T JUSTIFED.” All at a t ime when a record # of troops have been killed (Now 108 in December) and will likely reach 3,000 today or tomorrow. Yeah, suddenly, Saddam had to be executed IMMEDIATELY (and Bush has the media believing it was “Iraq’s decision”). Yeah, that needed to happen RIGHT AWAY but finding a solution to this disasterous mess Bush got our country and the Iraqi people into?? OH, TAKE 4 F’ING YEARS GEORGE, TAKE YOUR TIME! WE DON’T WANT TO RUSH YOU! GO TAKE LEISURELY RIDES ON YOUR BICYCLE IN TEXAS, NO HURRY!

ENTER SADDAM’S EXECUTION – Gerald Ford who? 3,000 Dead what? The Miltary thinks what about Bush’s job on the war? Record number of what?
This Stalinists at TP are mourning the death of Saddam. No surprise there, considering that the islamo-fascists and the stalinist leftists at TP both hate America.
my result is UGLY. if bushs credo really was to bring civilization and human rights to Iraq this really is the most archaic method to execute somebody. the pictures are cruel and cold. it reminds too much of slaughter and slaughter can be found often in iraq. the other processes not even taking place make saddam a kurd-killer. bush didnt want to clear up anything. he had a single interest in profiling himself as to be respected. Bush just wanted to strengthen his authority with a congress now opposing him. Bush hypocrital “milestone” for Iraq is more than cynical.
Saddams Hanging Will be a very short lived shallow Victory
Let the questions begin
For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s handling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war.
The Stalinists at TP are very bitter over the execution of Saddam. They figured he could lolly-gag around in some posh jail cell somewhere in the EUrinal for the rest of his life, while writing speeches for various Democrats.

I know the two really can not be compared. One was a war we had to fight, the other a war we chose to fight. But read all the History behind both wars.
In WWII, we (the U.S) say idly by while Hitler murdered thousands of people, and not just foreigners. He was also killing his own countrymen. Tojo was trying to expand the “Japanese Sphere of Influence” throughout the Pacific/Asian areas. We sat by and did nothing. Thousands of Chinese were killed by Japanese forces in ways that are beyond barbaric. Do we remember who started supplying Japan with “modern” weapons? The U.S. We knowingly allowed the deaths of thousands, maybe millions, because we thought it was “not our place” to interfere.
As I have said before, history will judge us by our actions, but also our inactions.
Hussein’s regime killed, tortured, raped and terrorized the Iraqi people and its neighbors for over two decades.
Hundreds of thousands of people died as a result of Saddam’s actions.
Saddam had approximately 40 of his own relatives murdered.
1980-88: Iran-Iraq war left 150,000 to 340,000 Iraqis and 450,000 to 730,000 Iranians dead.
1983-1988: Documented chemical attacks by Iraqi regime caused some 30,000 Iraqi and Iranian deaths.
1988: Chemical attack on Kurdish village of Halabja killed approximately 5,000 people.
1987-1988: Iraqi regime used chemical agents in attacks against at least 40 Kurdish villages.
1990-91: 1,000 Kuwaitis were killed in Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
1991: Bloody suppression of Kurdish and Shi’a uprisings in northern and southern Iraq killed at least 30,000 to 60,000. At least 2,000 Kurdish villages were destroyed during the campaign of terror.
2001: Amnesty International report: “Victims of torture in Iraq are subjected to a wide range of forms of torture, including the gouging out of eyes, severe beatings and electric shocks… some victims have died as a result and many have been left with permanent physical and psychological damage.”
Human Rights Watch: Saddam’s 1987-1988 campaign of terror against the Kurds killed at least 50,000 and possibly as many as 100,000 Kurds.
Refugees International: “Oppressive government policies have led to the internal displacement of 900,000 Iraqis.”
Iraq’s 13 million Shiite Muslims, the majority of Iraq’s population of approximately 22 million, faced severe restrictions on their religious practice.
FBI: Iraqi government was involved in a plot to assassinate former President George Bush during his April 14-16, 1993, visit to Kuwait.
The Iraqi regime has repeatedly refused visits by human rights monitors.
From 1992 until 2002, Saddam prevented the U.N. Special Rapporteur from visiting Iraq.
As I have said before, history will judge us by our actions, but also our inactions.

Bush and the administration lied to invade another country that did not pose a threat to anyone. No matter what the outcome of Iraq is, this act can’t be justified. He and his administration should just say they lied because they thought it was in the best interest of the world and beg for mercy from the War Crimes Court.
Saddam was leading Iraq in a war against Iran at the time he committed many of the atrocities that he was hung for, he did so (as has been pointed out a thousand times) with the assistance of the U.S. government, with Cheney and Rumsfeld playing key roles. What responsibility does the U.S. government take?
The current administration is responsible for anywhere from 150,000 to 200,000 Iraqi deaths in an illegal war of aggression predicated on lies and deception, the ultimate international crime (according to Nuremburg). What fate does the Bush cabal deserve? Justice_Served?

The old monster swung from the gallows this morning at 6 am Baghdad time. His Shiite executioners danced around his body.
Saddam Hussain was one of the 20th century’s most notorious tyrants, though the death toll he racked up is probably exaggerated by his critics. The reality was bad enough.
The tendency to treat Saddam and Iraq in a historical vacuum, and in isolation from the superpowers, however, has hidden from Americans their own culpability in the horror show that has been Iraq for the past few decades. Initially, the US used the Baath Party as a nationalist foil to the Communists. Then Washington used it against Iran. The welfare of Iraqis themselves appears to have been on no one’s mind, either in Washington or in Baghdad

When you commit the very act for which you are punishing someone else for doing – you are being hypocritical by doing and beconming the very thing you claim to have opposed.
You can’t condemn murder while murdering. At least not ethically.
Capital punishment is immoral and inhumane when we conscious beings have alternatives for peaceful justice over angry revenge.
For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s handling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war.
Can you be 100% sure he meant it as a racial epithet? No. You merely were exhibiting your own prejudices against anybody who speaks out against the Bush Regime.
Your A$$holier-than-thou attitude is counterproductive to your message of love and support for Big Brother.
One of the things that has happened is that the two parties have turned Saddam Hussein into a martyr and that now, more than at any other time, during the conflict in Iraq, Saddam Hussein will more actively inspire militants to fight against occupation forces as well as the present Iraqi government and any similar governments.
Another thing that has happened is that in executing, facilitating and allowing Saddam Hussein to be executed, the Bush administration, together with the present Iraqi government have committed a war crime. They have violated the rules of war which, among other things, prohibit the ill-treatment, execution of, or use of capital punishment on prisoners of war.
152 – CMT – Perhaps Saddam was officially designated an “alien unlawful enemy combatant.” Besides, Bush can now determine what does and what does not constitute a violation of the Geneva Conventions.
There goes the theory of equality and progressive though when you sanction regressive ideas like racism.

December 29th, 2006 at 11:58 pmKarma, interesting you should mention Pinochet. From the Amnesty International site:
And how many people have disappeared into “black sites” under the Bush Regime? There’s more:
Congress may have protected Bush from prosecution under national laws when it passed the Military Commissions Act, but, as you can see with the filing of charges in Germany against Rumsfeld, it cannot protect him from international war crimes charges.
Pinochet was returned to Chile and eventually put under house arrest. Although he took full responsibility for his crimes in November of 2006, he died of a heart attack less than a month later, precluding a full trial and public execution.
December 29th, 2006 at 11:59 pmYeah that was mean to Santo. Sorry.

December 30th, 2006 at 1:03 amrobert,
WWII was a war against genuine and formidable enemies of the US, not a poorly-planned occupation of a third-rate dictatorship in order to control its oil.

December 30th, 2006 at 5:52 ammy result is UGLY. if bushs credo really was to bring civilization and human rights to Iraq this really is the most archaic method to execute somebody. the pictures are cruel and cold. it reminds too much of slaughter and slaughter can be found often in iraq. the other processes not even taking place make saddam a kurd-killer. bush didnt want to clear up anything. he had a single interest in profiling himself as to be respected. Bush just wanted to strengthen his authority with a congress now opposing him. Bush hypocrital “milestone” for Iraq is more than cynical.

December 30th, 2006 at 9:43 amNat,
I know the two really can not be compared.
December 30th, 2006 at 9:49 am#122 – Perhaps, just for the Bush cabal, the Hague will bring back the time honored tradition of being drawn and quartered.
December 30th, 2006 at 9:55 amHussein’s regime killed, tortured, raped and terrorized the Iraqi people and its neighbors for over two decades.
Just sayin’……….

Bush and the administration lied to invade another country that did not pose a threat to anyone. No matter what the outcome of Iraq is, this act can’t be justified. He and his administration should just say they lied because they thought it was in the best interest of the world and beg for mercy from the War Crimes Court.
December 30th, 2006 at 10:08 amNat,
I never said they didn’t lie, and yes, I do believe that Saddams removal is for the “greater good” of humanity.
December 30th, 2006 at 10:14 amSaddam was leading Iraq in a war against Iran at the time he committed many of the atrocities that he was hung for, he did so (as has been pointed out a thousand times) with the assistance of the U.S. government, with Cheney and Rumsfeld playing key roles.

December 30th, 2006 at 11:17 amSo, time on a blog makes racist comments o.k.? There goes the theory of equality and progressive though when you sanction regressive ideas like racism.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:19 amWell, Mr Hussein was hanged as the result of 148 deaths. What will be the fate of mr Bush who is directly responsible for over 655,001 deaths in Iraq alone?

When you commit the very act for which you are punishing someone else for doing – you are being hypocritical by doing and beconming the very thing you claim to have opposed.
You can’t condemn murder while murdering. At least not ethically.
Capital punishment is immoral and inhumane when we conscious beings have alternatives for peaceful justice over angry revenge.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:26 amAt least we can all rest easier knowing that the insurgency continues in its last throes.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:31 amAll you guys knock off the racial insults.
It’s disrespectful to others – and to yourselves for doing the very thing you claim to stand against.
Most people around here find it offense to insult someone for attributes they do not and cannot control.
If you’re going to insult someone – insult what they do control – their ignorance, their actions and their views.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:36 am144 Ben Dover – At least we can all rest easier knowing that the insurgency continues in its last throes.
Dont Make me laugh you ever read David and Goliath … Its now a case of Face on the both sides
December 30th, 2006 at 11:40 amPoll: More troops unhappy with Bush’s course in Iraq
For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s handling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:42 amAmazing we’re allowed to poll the troops, and post the results.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:56 amNo more unecessary death please.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:57 amrobert, in my day, “crackers” meant crazy, nuts.
Can you be 100% sure he meant it as a racial epithet? No. You merely were exhibiting your own prejudices against anybody who speaks out against the Bush Regime.
Your A$$holier-than-thou attitude is counterproductive to your message of love and support for Big Brother.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:58 amAmazing we’re allowed to poll the troops, and post the results.

Amazing that you would be amzed that we’re allowed in a so-called Democracy with a Constitution protecting our freedom of such forms of speech…
December 30th, 2006 at 11:59 amOne of the things that has happened is that the two parties have turned Saddam Hussein into a martyr and that now, more than at any other time, during the conflict in Iraq, Saddam Hussein will more actively inspire militants to fight against occupation forces as well as the present Iraqi government and any similar governments.

Exactly!
December 30th, 2006 at 12:06 pm152 – CMT – Perhaps Saddam was officially designated an “alien unlawful enemy combatant.” Besides, Bush can now determine what does and what does not constitute a violation of the Geneva Conventions.
December 30th, 2006 at 12:10 pmMy organization has an Office of Peace and Justice. I really thought about it when I started working there. Totally connected and interdependent.

December 30th, 2006 at 12:13 pmI do believe that Saddams removal is for the “greater good†of humanity.

Again, you support the atrocities commited in Iraq following your beliefs of good and evil. You are medieval, robert.

Come on, every post made by big papa shows him as an educated, right-on-the-spot justice, supporter. There are more racist content in your support of this war, robert. To think that iraqis cant overthrow a dictator like Saddam, that you have to cross the world to give them democracy is as racist as any insult.
December 30th, 2006 at 12:19 pmI agree with Big Papa.
December 30th, 2006 at 12:33 pmI can think of alot worse to call those bastards.
unbelievable, #145
Thank you.

It wasn’t for you robert. I also comment on the caliber of pedophile insults. I like them even less.
The word Cracker is not offensive to white people. But the fact that someone can use it as justification to say other offensive racial words is.
December 30th, 2006 at 12:35 pmAgain, you support the atrocities commited in Iraq following your beliefs of good and evil. You are medieval, robert.
No, I support the removal of a mad man that tortured and murdered thousands his own people.
And I believe that the Iraqis could have removed Saddam if they had at least one ounce of freedom. But when you live in a world where every time you disent the least amount with the Government your village gets gassed, you kind of have a hard time organizing.
unbelievable,
The word Cracker is not offensive to white people. But the fact that someone can use it as justification to say other offensive racial words is.
Growing up in the area I did, Cracker was used in the same way as Honkey. BOTH were used to disparage whites. Here is from Dictionary.com
5. Slang: Disparaging and Offensive. a poor white person living in some rural parts of the southeastern U.S.
or
3. Offensive
Used as a disparaging term for a poor white person of the rural, especially southeast United States.

December 30th, 2006 at 12:52 pmadd “short bus” jokes to the list…
December 30th, 2006 at 12:58 pmjust saw it on the latest “poll” thread…
it’s just unnecessary…
Now that Saddam was hanged…Can we leave Iraq, since no WMDS found..? No we can’t..so are we stuck in Iraq? at what cost…that’s what we should be thinking about now more than hanging Saddam. By passing March 24th 2007,this mission will enter its fifth year..

I KNOW what it means Robert… But I have never met a white person who found it offensive. In fact, someone famous made a joke that there was not term that white people found racially offensive – mostly because they were the large majority in this country.
As long as this country is prejudice towards rich white American men, you only have the rich part to whine about…
December 30th, 2006 at 1:20 pmRobert, did Black kids beat you up?

You mean the mad man (whats with the 5 y/o vocabulary?) your government chose to begin the war propaganda, robert. I dont see any threat or warning from the US against one of the biggest human-right crusher in the world, Saudi Arabia. Its all bullshit, robert. Can you see this for a minute, then return back to your official stance?
December 30th, 2006 at 1:25 pmCNN is running a video of Saddam in a Hangman’s Noose. Are they really so liberal there?
December 30th, 2006 at 1:29 pmIt seems as if Robert finds the word “cracker” offensive, so maybe we should respect that.

And the total number of dead soldiers: 2998. The new year will surely be 3,000, if it’s not there already.

“whites earned it” or “whites deserve it” are more examples of the Stalinist left and their attempt to divide people with their sick, demented ideology of hatred.
December 30th, 2006 at 3:54 pmNo one has earned the RIGHT to disparage anyone based on race. That is against what this country is supposed to be about.

i gotta say, robert – i think you nailed it…
December 30th, 2006 at 3:55 pmand it’s not just about race… but most already know that…
it’s as simple as the “golden rule”… though not always easy…
And I do find it as an offinsive term or I would not have brought it up.

Ok, so now we know for sure that word offends you, Robert.
We should respect that, ya’ll.
December 30th, 2006 at 11:27 pmZooey, thank you for your understanding. You have been in good form today, by the way.
December 31st, 2006 at 12:08 amThanks, Robert.

December 31st, 2006 at 10:33 pm#75 Congratulations on al-Sadr’s victory. I know you love your Shia death squads because they are so preferable to a dictatorship. I am not sure you understand anything about Iraq. No, I am sure you don’t, moron.
