Me, personally — I used every trick in the book to get to be the undesignated president — I get to be president and still remain in undisclosed locations.
I have lost all faith in President Bush. I recently found out this morning that Bush decided not to attend the ceremony because he had to cut cedar wood at his ranch (I believe he decided not to appear at the wake ceremony because of the letter that criticized the purpose of the war in Iraq). He should’ve attended out of respect for the former deceased president.
Even though this is not pertaning to this blog, I must voice my opinion. I really feel like the President and his administration are equivalent to the mob. Many people, including his constituents, are biased toward the President’s methodical plan to win the war in Iraq, but Bush has made the decision not to adhere to any of their views. There’s no way that we can win this war. I believe Bush and Cheney are in Iraq for profiteering purposes. I pray to God that all of the filth within our government is revealed.
Regarding Ford’s pardon of Nixon, Cheney also said that Ford understood that there is no healing without pardons. Sounds like Cheney is trying to plant suggestions in the public’s minds before his upcoming trial.
Spudge…our “Daryll†is “Daryl†with one “Lâ€, I believe.

No it’s me, I may be a republican, but I can no longer defend insanity. So much government funding could’ve been utilized for education, health care, etc., rather than this war. Our men and women are dying for no common cause. I’ve heard from a few of my fellow officers that there is a good portion of Iraq that doesn’t have adequate water or electricity. The Iraqi people are turning against us. It’s sad that a soldier believes that, if he abandons this war, he would be considered an unpatriotic servant to his country. No, no, no, they tried to complete an unjustly war to the best of their ability, but the Iraqis have chosen to not accept freedom. It’s time to create an exit plan.
Daryll, a little late in coming, but satisfied that at least YOU have seen the light. The majority of troops polled now think more troops is not the answer. There is a growing antiwar movement within the military now, patterned after the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Welcome aboard!

Daryll has always been the accomplice who can’t ride or shoot, and waits in a side canyon to distract the posse as they ride by in pursuit of the train robbers….
This thread started out about the nefarious little Fuddthucker who slipped out the back door as Ford was pardoning his boss….
See how neatly Daryll the Divine Doorknob spun us off onto Irrelevant George?
Interesting comment by someone with so much blood on his hands. Cheney ought to know about rising high due to gile and calculation. Although, Cheney is soon going to find out that the old adage is true “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.” Investigations are going to paint a trail to this crooks lap-then how about trying him for war crimes. Bush and Cheney have more blood on their hands then Saddam could ever dream of having. And the Bush and Cheney blood is due to greed!!!!
Big Dick has the ability to speak well when necessary and lull you to sleep and then hit you with the most remarkable incidious remarks
ever spoken. Big Dick of all the cronies should be held responsible for his actions since the Ford administration//
I just don’t know how you folks can do it.You watch the headlines like hawks, you are always into it up to your eyeballs, and you manage to keep you sanity. I had to give up t.v. a couple of years ago; got a satelite radio for no news or comercails; desubscribed from all the news mags & papers, just to get my meds down to a little less than half of what I started with.
I’m not totaly out of touch yet; I still look at the headlines on the papers on my way home and I still surf the net for a couple of hours a week. Any more than that, I would probably be living in a padded cell wearing a coat that is all sleeves. How do you do it and not go nuts?

The dice are rolling, and the heads will follow…………
[...] I caught this quote of the day via Think Progress: “Few have ever risen so high with so little guile or calculation.” – Vice President Dick Cheney, speaking about former president Gerald Ford. [...]
Remember back in 2000 when a guy named Dick Cheney was head of Bush’s search committee for VP? Cheney dutifully interviewed a number of candidates and then lo and behold, selected HIMSELF as the most qualified canidate.
That move alone deserves an award for “guile and calculation” like no other.
Someone who’s ve been entrusted to do a confidential job of interviewing candidates for VP and then ends up selecting himself has broken the trust placed in him and should have been held up as an object of scorn and ridicule.
It should also have been a major red flag that there was something extrmely fishy going on.
… Add to that the fact that the constitution forbids the Prez and VP from being inhabitants of the same state.
Cheney had lived in Texas for decades, worked there, voted there, paid Taxes there. Cheney was the one candidate that Bush couldn’t possibly choose for VP for the simple reason that it was unconstitutional. When Repubs belatedly discovered that quaint archaic document called the constitution Cheney scurried off to Wyoming to switch his voter registration – as if simply switching your voter registration is sufficient to call yourself a resident of another state. Cheney continued to reside in Texas. The Press and the opposition party once again dropped the ball on this.
Imagine how the right wing would have reacted if Edwards and Kerry had been both residents of Massachusetts, or Clinton and Al Gore had both been residents of Arkansas? You think they wouldn’t have screamed bloody murder that the Dems are subverting the sacred constituion? You think they would’ve accepted the dodge of the vp candidate jetting off to another state to switch his voter ID card?
How many people realized that Cheney is actually reviewing all legislation before it goes to the president’s deks and that no VP has ever done this before? Talk about giving him an inch and he’ll take a mile… (see URL).
Dick should be the next one to the gallows.
