Just weeks ago, President Bush insisted that the United States was “absolutely” winning in Iraq. Recently, as the casulties have mounted, he’s toned back his sunny rhetoric slightly, saying the United States was not “winning or losing.” Yet media reports indicate Bush believes the United States can win by sending 20,000 more troops to Iraq, a gambit that has been tried before and failed.
This prompted a reporter to ask White House Press Secretary Tony Snow if Bush was “fundamentally out of touch with what the reality is on the ground in Iraq?” Snow responded that “we may be out of touch with reality because we sit around and we look at fractional pictures on the screen.” Bush, on the other hand, “knows more than anybody in this room about what’s going on there.” Watch it:
Q The only question, though, to press a little bit, is the view that the President has been determined, he’s been resolved, and nobody questions that, but does he get it? I mean, is he fundamentally out of touch with what the reality is on the ground in Iraq?
MR. SNOW: No, I think what happens is, we may be out of touch with reality because we sit around and we look at fractional pictures on the screen. This is a President who gets exhaustive briefings on a daily basis about the situation. He knows more than anybody in this room about what’s going on there.
Sounds familiar, where have I heard the reasoning that we should trust the president, because he knows more then everyone else?

January 3rd, 2007 at 6:13 pmInteresting how the above post has already been deleted twice, and will no doubt be deleted again (along with this one in all probability).
But it should come as no surprise…after all, it’s pretty obvious that this supposedly ‘progressive’ site has a rather aggressive agenda of its own, and those who don’t go with the flow don’t last long (until recently, I myself was a cautionary tale).
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:17 pmSheesh…that didn’t last long…and not even the courtesy to leave a (comment deleted by admin) message.
You TP guys should apply to help build the Presidential Library….I hear they’re in need of a few good revisionists.

I think they have a technical problem…but its wishful thinking.
Good post, trueblue at number four (try deleting that!)
I have wondered at TP’s fickle stewardship of this site. They want us to discuss ideas. True, we tend to trail off into side jokes and what not. I plead guilty to doing that myself from time to time. But some of the people we haven’t heard from much were good, smart people whose ideas may be lost to us forever because TP drove them away. They had good posts with great links. And you’re right: Who do they leave us? Trolls, some of who even admit to coming here just to disrupt things. I’ve considered (and tried) staying away for several days. If we’re gonna lose Briseadh over this, then perhaps there are other sites we could do this on. Why go some place when the people you love aren’t wanted there?
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:20 pmYou’re right, Tripmaster. I was replying to trueblue’s post (which used to be at #4) and by the time I hit “post”, it was gone. Just like I will be soon if this keeps up.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:22 pmTony Snow should up date his resume he’ll need a job soon. When Bush sends 20,000 more troops and our soldiers start getting killed at a rate of 500 a month Bush will run for cover. Don’t worry folks word is that Al Sadr has the support of the people of Iraq that’s why Prime Minister Maliki wants out. His pockets have been lined with Bush money so he’s ready to move and and live the rich life. Remember Maliki got some of the 900 million dollars Bremmer sold from Iraq when he caught Saddam. That money was split up by those who would follow Bush’s orders. Don’t worry Hastert got his share to it was brought to him in a suitcase. PBS told the story and showed the proof as they interviewed others who were living large in Paris with their pay off. Bush is setting more troops as the Iraq soldier kill more American troops.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:22 pmTrip. I just posted on the energy thread, commenting about NOx producing tropospheric ozone and fuel cells…and it didnt go through. I guess TP has technical problems…but its wishful thinking again.

This whole administration keeps acting like they’re the adults who know everything that’s best for us, and we should just go about our tiny little meaningless lives (shopping?!!) and not worry our little old heads about what the grups are up to. F*ck that noise!
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:25 pmYep knows more than anybody.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:25 pmwords fail me.
Now that’s just a lie. Bush has never known more than everyone or anyone in every room or any room.
Isn’t this the guy who couldn’t find oil in Bahrain? Traded Sammy Sosa? You know, I’m just over having respect for the office as long as he’s the guy in office. After a while the guy’s gotta earn it, and this guy hasn’t touched anything that he hasn’t broken.
And the trolls here know it, they’re just too weak to admit it. Your horse has pulled up incompetant. Rip up your tickets and leave the track.

January 3rd, 2007 at 6:35 pmThis is the second time I have heard reference made to the President having superior information to others regarding Iraq. The President himself said so a few weeks ago, with reference to members of Congress.
So, I guess that pretty much puts the lie to the proposition that Congress saw the same intelligence as the President when the decision was made to invade.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:36 pm“Failure will only come when the American People lose their will to win.”
Even if true, which is not, aren’t the American People in charge of the government? If we decide we don’t want to win anymore, will our government listen?
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:37 pmJust like in Nam, the US poeple are sick of this, and it don’t matter anymore how many “Tet Offenses” we launch. People are done.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:38 pmGood job Greggp,
Yes, lets bring up that point now. So the Pres knows more than anyone about Iraq, but Congress had the same info he did when they authorized the invasion. Yup, its a doozy.

January 3rd, 2007 at 6:45 pmThis follows along with the failure of the war being the fault of the American people. I believe that was the implication of their words a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for reminding me. We have to get this new Congress to do more about educating Americans. Too many of them are walking around with completely misguided and erroneous ideas in their heads. (Sadly, one of them lives at 1600 PA Ave.)
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:54 pmPete,
So when things go well, it’s the GOP who saved us, and when things hit the shitter, its the Liberal’s fault?
There is a delay in consequences of actions. It takes at least 2 years for most decisions to show consequences. Just in time to blame the next Democratic president.

January 3rd, 2007 at 6:55 pmOnce again the criminals ( BushCo) are taking a phrase that has been used to describe Bush and they are turning it on their opponents….the citizens of this country. We are now “out of touch”. Have we caught on yet? They seek to neutralize and own phrases, words, and ideas through turning them back on their accusers. The only problem is that they are the criminals…not us.

January 3rd, 2007 at 6:57 pmThe downfall of America would be brought about, and it’s citizens would be responsible, if we continued to allow the criminal activity of the Bush administration to drag this country into ruin.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:57 pmWhere are all the pictures? How can I find out anything about this “progress” if there are no pictures!? I get my information from pictures, and all that I know I have learned through looking at them.
WTF!? is Tony implying there!? We (even the dumb ones) are now supposed to believe that between vacations, naps, bike rides, campaign mooching and photo-opping, that Dubbie gets a bunch of information-absorbing done, concerning information that we couldn’t even find out if we wanted to, because all we do is look at pictures? These guys are letting too much of their hidden biases show. Or maybe just enough, that some of their naive and narcissistic followers will finally comprehend how loathed they are by their heroes.
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:59 pmFirst they blamed the liberals and the Democrats, then they blamed the Iraqis, then the Generals and by extension the troops, so since that didn’t work, it must be the fault of the American public in general. It’s not like there’s anyone else who could possibly be responsible.

January 3rd, 2007 at 8:23 pmI feel better knowing that tony snow thinks I am outside reality. this gives everyone of us hope that everything is okay. we know he lies for a living, so he must be confirming that we know more than he does about reality, by comparing it directly to what the press asked him about. he slipped into the trap without knowing it. a “closer” if you will. I don’t think he has caught on yet that we know that he lies about everything he says, so please don’t tell him! this way it will be easier and easier to decipher what he says into what it means. the press corpse just needs to know how to ask a question to get the lie directly by having the tony “rosetta stone” snow chart of statements, mis.

You may well be right that the issue of posts that never show up is a server/software issue, but there is also an entirely different issue: that of posts that are deleted without trace or explanation shortly after they show up on the site. For some reason, 9/11 is a huge hot button for TP, and as I’ve said numerous times, discussing the state of this country without making mention of 9/11 is a bit like attempting to discuss the fate of the Titanic while avoiding any mention of icebergs.

The tag can be read through a person’s clothing, silently and invisibly, by radio waves from a few inches away. The highly controversial device is being marketed as a way to access secure areas, link to medical records, and serve as a payment instrument when associated with a credit card.
Individual tracking and profiling. If personal identity were linked with unique RFID tag numbers, individuals could be profiled and tracked without their knowledge or consent. For example, a tag embedded in a shoe could serve as a de facto identifier for the person wearing it. Even if item-level information remains generic, identifying items people wear or carry could associate them with, for example, particular events like political rallies.
Some RFID proponents defend the technology by pointing out that the tags associated with most consumer products will contain only a serial number. However, the number can actually be used as a reference number that corresponds to information contained on one or more Internet-connected databases. This means that the data associated with that number is theoretically unlimited, and can be augmented as new information is collected.
For example, when a consumer purchases a product with an EPC-compliant RFID tag, information about the consumer who purchased it could be added to the database automatically. Additional information could be logged in the file as the consumer goes about her business: “Entered the Atlanta courthouse at 12:32 PM,” “At Mobil Gas Station at 2:14 PM,” etc. Such data could be accessed by anyone with access to such a database, whether authorized or not.
Welcome to the brave new world….the New World Order.
January 3rd, 2007 at 10:54 pm1. US aircraft carriers are in the gulf. US enemies in the gulf region have Chinese silkworm missiles. The carriers have no defense against the silkworms.
2. US soldiers are short on ammo because somebody blew up the green zone stockpile of ammo. What a sight that was!
3. The area is a powder key. There are several very plausable senarios in which the green zone would be overrun.
What is George doing about this incredibly dangerous situation? Nothing. He has decided that he wants to send more soldiers to Iraq, and he spends all his time trying to think up a justification for so doing.
January 3rd, 2007 at 10:58 pmAnd the Snow-job is relevant because …….???
Get this talking dildo and his Faux Nooz dog and pony show out of the mainstream and out of my sight ASAP!!!
What a turd-polisher!!!!!
January 3rd, 2007 at 10:58 pmJTitor,
I try not to read Prison Planet, it gets to your tinfoil-tendencies.
January 3rd, 2007 at 10:59 pmAnd people will have ways to scramble, re-program, hack, and clone these chips. There is always a resistence. It’s not futile.
January 3rd, 2007 at 11:03 pmTony McSnowjob the White House Spokesliar…same as he was with FOX, a lying son of a bitch.

January 3rd, 2007 at 11:40 pmexcellent observation!
He knows more than anybody in this room about what’s going on there.
We have always assumed that the prez is privy to information unavailable to the rest of the rabble - hence we never believed the congress had all the info they needed before the invasion was launched. When the sh*t hit the fan in Iraq, Bush&Co tried to pawn off the responsibility for the disaster onto the congress, but of course, it was solely Bush&Co with the neocons who were/are responsible.
Snowjob inadvertently admitted it today.
Tony just looks more and more lost every day… imagining him going home, locking the door, and weeping.
January 4th, 2007 at 12:39 amRegarding deletions and where else can we go - I don’t see the same problem at Crooks and Liars nearly as much! And it’s also an excellent site.
I would hate to lose my TP fix though.
Appears TP is censoring 9/11 posts. I posted sometime ago and it still hasn’t come up.
January 4th, 2007 at 12:41 amI was wrong. Thanks TP for not censoring.
January 4th, 2007 at 12:44 amSharon, I do. I’m still blocked at my main IP - have been since June.
I find posts on having a sensible discussion of Israel, viability of ethanol & the loss of Habeas Corpus rights of mine hardly ever get through.
Patricia #108, right on.
January 4th, 2007 at 12:45 amOh yeah, impersonating long-dead historical figures usually goes down like a pork pie at a barmitzvah too.
January 4th, 2007 at 12:48 amApparently, TP is censoring because my post came up for 5 minutes then gone. Wow. Glad I took a screen print of it. Why does TP censor 9/11 questions?
January 4th, 2007 at 12:55 amOk Judd why did you pull my post?
January 4th, 2007 at 12:59 amYep! Terry, exactly why I avoid the Israel on going massacar of Lebanon, Palestine and the Gaza strip…..Oop’s Look for this to disappear…..So much madness and most of our present administration is tied to it or supplying it ,it make’s my head hurt and my heart bleed……Blessings to you and glad to see you’re post’s around..
January 4th, 2007 at 1:49 amI guess the site monitors haven’t watched “Loose Change” yet…
January 4th, 2007 at 1:56 amOK, that comment #126 went up immediately!
January 4th, 2007 at 1:58 amSite monitors, how about CHANGING the software if it is hurting your reputation so much? Check out Crooks and Liars - no deletions there except the ones for breaking their rules about threats, etc. And when they do delete a post, they tell you so!
Sheesh.
Hey Wayne, thanks for the fun Political Compass on your blog!
January 4th, 2007 at 3:00 amI’m more leftist and more anarchist than the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela! Cool! I feel like one of the big kids now!
Maybe Tony Snow is right. There seem to be “Knowns” unknown to us. Check out this from the London Times (hardly a very leftist site)
http://business.timesonline.co.uk/ article/ 0,,1061-2530313,00.html
It surely looks like there is more trouble ahead.
January 4th, 2007 at 3:10 amSnowjob does it again!

January 4th, 2007 at 6:08 am#140
Whatever,
I’m sure the current administration will get the boys out of Iraq asap. because the people wants it?
Don’t mix up Democracy and plebiscites. We have strong plebiscite elements here in Switzerland and they’re about to abolish the army and legalize marihuana. Nice place to live.
Patricia, I’m always careful, but never afraid.
January 4th, 2007 at 7:04 amQuitter never wins, Winner Never Quits.
Strategy in Iraq needs fine tweaking reast is all ok.

January 4th, 2007 at 7:16 amSKdeA,
Isn’t it great? I found out the same thing about myself. I’m more liberal and libertarian (I wouldn’t characterize it as “anarchist”, though that is the extreme for that philosophy) than both Ghandi and Mandela.
For those who wish to know what we’re talking about go to http://www.politicalcompass.org. It’s a short, 5-minute, agree/disagree-type quiz that will tell you not only how liberal or conservative you are, but how libertarian or authoritarian you are. I encourage EVERYONE who wishes to know where their political views lie to visit that site.
Happy New Year, SKdeA.
January 4th, 2007 at 7:39 amYou’d ALMOST think Snow was speaking in Americas place?
OH that’s right. He is.
“An enemy of the people, usually says and does what it wants”
Thomas Jefferson
January 4th, 2007 at 8:38 amThis is a message made years ago, for all americans to ponder in everyday life! Remeber that thing called the US constitution?
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson
Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it.
Thomas Jefferson
Force is the vital principle and immediate parent of despotism.
Thomas Jefferson
I abhor war and view it as the greatest scourge of mankind.
Thomas Jefferson
Friendship is but another name for an alliance with the follies and the misfortunes of others. Our own share of miseries is sufficient: why enter then as volunteers into those of another?
Thomas Jefferson
A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.
Thomas Jefferson
A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference.
Thomas Jefferson
Surely these are Words of Wisdom, that this current Government cannot understand.
January 4th, 2007 at 8:58 am#140 Whatever -
So what does that make the Bushco Boyz and Girl???? A cabal of sleazy third-world dictators, only interested in their personal greed, ignoring the will of the people, satisfying a narrow NeoCon desire to control a geopolitical piece of land half way around the world and pushing fear and hatred for people “not like them”.
Sure sounds like Democracy to me —- the Repug version, anyway!
January 4th, 2007 at 10:28 amHi Wayne, thanks for the link. Given the fact that I am well over forty now and my parents always claimed this “leftist crap” will wear out when I finally grow up, I feel pretty young. I find myself in the area you describe as well. So, when I finally do grow up I might come close to Gandi or Mandela and that’s just fine.
As to deletions, I never experienced any. Neither here or at C&L’s or Jurassic Pork’s place. However, my slightly paranoid husband, has firewalled me out of existence now and again and I wasn’t able to comment then. (Some might think of this as a welcome break)
January 4th, 2007 at 11:24 amSnow is a liar, everyone in the administration is a bold faced liar. from the ties to 911, to WMDs, to regime change, to toppling a dictator, to spreading democracy, to creating a government that can sustain itself, this crap keeps morphing…..Where is Osama? Why dont we ever hear about him? wasnt he the supposed mastermind of 911? or just a patsy… 911 was an inside job paving the way for this slaughter, and Iran is next in the sights…. BUSH, CHENEY, Rummy the Dummy, Condi, Wolfy, Hannity, Bremer, Pearle, all either need to be taken out back and shot, or sent to the Hague for trials as war criminals, and then we can cellphone record their executions….. America has been ruined, and the DEmocrats are the same pieces of shit, just pushed into 2 different piles to give us a false choice…
January 4th, 2007 at 11:45 amIntegrity, truth, honesty, right-thinking, goodness, faithfulness, patriotism are all words with which the Bush Crime Family, which now includes Snowblower, know nothing about. Arrogance, deceit, dishonesty, out right lying, criminal activity, treason. These are all the words they know only too well. May the next two years inflict nothing but pain on this whole unseemly mob. May they bring peace to the American People. As for the Rethuglicans crying about not getting minority rights, which they would not grant to the Democrats for the last 6 years…GO TO HELL!
January 4th, 2007 at 12:19 pmNice quote from above: “Snow responded that ‘we may be out of touch with reality because we sit around and we look at fractional pictures on the screen.’”
Now here is a clip from youtube. com that explains why Bush and others know exactly what they are talking about! Oh yeah! Watch it :D
youtube. com/v/NBe_mJ_UN0U
January 4th, 2007 at 2:26 pmAfter my last post, please keep in mind that: [quote from above:]
Bush, on the other hand, “knows more than anybody in this room about what’s going on there.â€
January 4th, 2007 at 2:41 pmTony Snow is as dishonest and inept as is Boss- Bush
January 4th, 2007 at 2:58 pmTony Snow is as dishonest and inept as is Boss- Bush
Comment by Mark Wender
Which is exactly why he got the job! It all makes sense now.
January 4th, 2007 at 3:21 pmMost interesting thing about Bush’s new catchphrase, er.. i mean plan “Surge and Accelerate” is that he is going to posit that it is the will of the American people. The people’s impatience with the “progress” has left him with no other choice but to open the throttle and put greater force behind the existing “direction” in order to accelerate the time it will take to “succeed”.
Every Republican, Democrat, foreign policy advisor, past President and voter has spoken and our President has heard us in the inverse.
January 4th, 2007 at 4:02 pmRepublicans should go to hell, Bush is a devil…blah blah blah
You guys pound the table for peace, diversity of thought, and tolerance in one minute and spout bigotry the next. Cut it out already.
January 4th, 2007 at 4:22 pmhow come my conservative views are not published on this blog? what happened to free speech and diversity of thought and ideas? you guys are a bunch of hypocrites.
January 4th, 2007 at 4:25 pmMatt,
“Conservative” is “Newspeak” for “Reactionary.” There’s nothing conservative about George Bush or his Cult.
January 4th, 2007 at 4:40 pmWhat about all the all military commanders both presently in the military and those just retired who have been there and done that and have first hand knowledge of how things are going “Over There”?
January 4th, 2007 at 4:49 pmThey say in one way or another that we are making things worse there, things are out of control, and the moral is gone downhill fast because of the obvious reasons. No one in charge back in the US with any common sense nor heart for the dying soldiers and the mouning family members with a no win situation, this evil man in the White House who wants to send more young men there to die? And Snow thinks that the people here have no idea? What an *(@$(&*@@#^(*%$h#^# Figures though doesn’t it?
Happy new year back to you and Jane, Wayne!
January 4th, 2007 at 4:54 pmWasn’t that McNamara’s line during Vietnam? “We know things that you don’t.” Thirty years later he admitted that it wasn’t true.
January 4th, 2007 at 5:36 pmThe president knows more than everyone in the room? That’s a hurtin’ room. Did he know more than everyone in the room when he said there were WMD’s in Iraq? Or when the “surprise” attack happened on 911?
There’s clearly another agenda that MSM won’t touch. So I won’t touch MSM with a ten foot pole. The real reason for Iraq, 911 and Iran (coming soon), the North American Union, Amnesty for illegals, Patriot Act, Victory Act, NAFTA, digital voting with no papertrail, 750 general orders to override the US constitution, etc: The Globalists want a one-world government.
You get the same wars with the Democrats as with the Republicans. The real enemy of the people is the millitary industrial complex. Tune into the alternative media & take the first step - get informed.
January 4th, 2007 at 5:51 pmyeah, real out of touch with the reality…
OF HOW BAD IT IS ABOUT TO GET
I think the best plan would be to redeploy to kuwait, wait for them all to kill themselves and shoot each other, then take the oil. I think it would be a lot easier to get that way instead of this hold the fake iraq gov. hand while they are just stealing the oil revenue.
January 4th, 2007 at 6:23 pmI am amazed at how the people posting here have more information available to them than the US Government…why don’t you stop hiding/hording the info, and forward it to your congressmen…
…you know, the info on how things REALLY are in IRAQ…the info on the vast conspiracies to control the US…all the info on how Bush is the cause of everything bad…
…send all that info to the now Democrat controlled congress, and they should be able to fix it all in 100 hours.
…if you don’t trust your congressmen, then send it to your favorite liberal Supreme Court Justice…they will immediately fix the problem…
…no? Send it to France…they hate Bush…they will fix the problem…and CC a copy to the UN so they also can fix the problem.
January 4th, 2007 at 6:57 pm[…] In a response to a reporter about whether Bush is out of touch with what is going on in Iraq, Tony Snow responds by saying everyone but the President is out of touch as we get all our information from watching video reports (presumably, TV reports?) as compared to Bush’s exhaustive daily briefings. See for yourself here. […]
January 4th, 2007 at 8:04 pmI would just like to point out that a broken clock is right twice a day only if it is stopped. The clock that keeps spinning is right only by chance, if ever at all.
That’s what’s going on here: Snow is alerted as to how he’s wrong, and he keeps spinning.
January 4th, 2007 at 8:16 pmI hope all of you jihadist wannabees enjoy your 72 virgin pigs.
January 4th, 2007 at 8:58 pm[…] If the man paid any attention to the daily briefings, what the generals are saying or what the soldiers on the ground were saying, he would then see that more troops are not going to resolve the issue. The fact is he sets his mind to something and doesn’t back down. Which can be a good thing, but when 3,000 Americans have died and god knows how many Iraqis’…the question is when do you begin to listen to others. Obviously more death and destruction is going to have to happen before things change. It is just sad that it has to be that way. January 4th, 2007 at 9:06 pmBush,Cheney and Rice should be swinging from trees like wind chimes.
January 4th, 2007 at 10:11 pmI am sure glad that so many people on here care so much about the american soldiers that they are willing to speak for us. I do not need anyone to speak for me or tell me what is right or wrong. So many people are willing to wine and cry over what is going on but yet are not willing to do anything about the prob. No matter what Bush may try to do about the prob over in Iraq people will still argue that it is wrong.
January 4th, 2007 at 10:51 pmIt’s a freaken war and people are bitchen that soldiers are being killed. I hate to see anyone die but that is a cold hard fact that people die in war.
Please leave the fighting to the soldiers in Iraq and shut the hell up unless you are willing to put the uniform on yourself.

January 5th, 2007 at 7:02 amI can now understand why Harriet Miers jumped ship. Her knowledge of Constitutional Law finally kicked her concience to the concious part of her brain, and she could no longer live with herself being part of the new and improved Nazi Germany
January 5th, 2007 at 7:08 amTony Snow wants me to believe that President Bush knows what he is doing. I wonder if Tony Snow actually believes that President Bush is competent.
January 5th, 2007 at 11:37 amYeah, Bush is SO informed he keeps making all the wrong moves. Now THAT’S INFORMED!!
January 5th, 2007 at 12:15 pmIt really terrifies me to read the the posts of those from the far left. You fail to grasp that we are in a war for our very existence. The gutless libs who want to undermine the efforts of the President and our military efforts to defeat terrorism abroad, before it can come to our shores again, are inconceivably clueless. You don’t understand that the terrorists are determined to either convert the entire world to islam, in which case they win, or to kill themselves and everyone in their path while trying, in which case they also win (in their minds).
Please, move to france now and throw your lots in with those who are prone to appeasement and surrender. Leave America to those of us who are proud of our country’s ideals, proud of the contributions we make to the rest of world, and proud to be a shining example for all of humanity. Remember, you are only able to make your self-injurious comments because you live in the greatest country in the world.
Get a clue, and quit weakening our ability to take on the gravest threat this country has ever seen.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:22 amFor those few that still don’t get it!! Please watch this link: http://video.google.com/ videoplay?docid=4729189253956590972&q=The+Power+Of+Nightmares&hl=en
If the link above has been deleted…please search on google video for “The Power of Nightmares”. It was a BBC special on the real history of what has happened. Only a few, in our great country, still believe the lies. I ask everyone to look for the PROOF! Stop listening to what you are told and get up off your butts and look at the history and PROOF! If Bush told all of us that we would be safe by jumping off a bridge…would you jump? I myself would look at what I was facing, before jumping. I chose to have my own mind. If there is something he is not telling us… All I can ponder is why that info has lead him to fail for so many years? Why has he and his “group of friends”, changed the story so many times? Why does he not Properly investigate FACTS. Why is it always a closed panel of select personnel that he has chosen, that gets to look at all the clues? Why not involve the entire Congress? Why so secret? Secrecy of this EPIC proportion in the US can only hide the real truth, that the people of this country should see as well! Why is it always “His way or nothing”?
I can go on all night with the questions. Yet he, nor his friends, have provided any….I repeat, ANY real, factual, scientific evidence! Nor have they listened to the hundreds of actual REAL people fighting this war. Just as well, ignoring the masses in the US. I have many friends in this war! I am Patriotic! I love my country…Well, what it used to be. What it should be! Not what it is becoming with this new wave of imaginations gone wild. Using Fear and Scare mongering to line the cattle of America up for what can only lead to tyranny at home!
I ask you to look for the news clips of the past. I beg you to compare what they have told us time and time again. I challenge you to show some real proof. I challenge you to find 2 topics they haven’t flip-flopped on concerning the war. I challenge you to research the “Terrorists” they have captured. Most of them are fee today, do to lack of having any involvement with terror! Where is the proof? Show it to all of us and end the questioning!
January 6th, 2007 at 4:59 amJoe R–
That’s a nice apology piece for the savages that attacked and killed your fellow Americans on 9/11. It wants to convince us that there is no cohesive unit called al qaeda, with bin laden at the head, yet it continually points out how he recruits, funds and trains anyone that will listed on how to kill Americans. It even goes so far as to suggest that we brought the attack on ourselves by attempting to bring bin laden and the other terrorists involved in bombing our embassies in Africa to justice. How dare we fight back or hold people accountable for their crimes?!?!
As is typical with your ilk, you’re quick to point out what you deem as the shortcomings or failures of our leaders, yet you offer NOTHING in the way of a solution. Please, please, tell us all what you would have done different and how you would stopped 9/11 from happening. Or better yet, what you suggest we do to stop the NEXT 9/11?????????
Oh, that’s right, there is no islamafascist threat out there in the world looking to wipe us off the planet. I’ll sleep much better at night knowing you and the BBC have solved the case.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:34 pmI see that My post from a couple of days ago was taken off for “some” reason so to recap it again, it’s good to see so many people one here that are willing to cry and wine about what is going on but yet willing to do nothing about it. Untill you are willing to put the uniform on then shut the hell up about bringing our troops home. We train day after day to do what we do to protect and serve out country including cry babies that think they know what it is all about. We don’t need a bunch of wussies putting words in our mouths. Thats ok though we will still protect your panty waist ass so you can pretend that you are also helping America by making us look like a bunch of wimps to the world.
January 7th, 2007 at 10:32 pmOkay then… to hit on 911. Please watch this video. That is, if you have an attention span longer than 20mins. This is a few hours of video.
