At a time when the United States is engaged in protracted ground wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, one of the worst moves the Bush administration could make is to appoint someone with no background in land warfare to oversee these operations. In another baffling move, President Bush has decided to do just that, by replacing retiring Army General John Abizaid, the current head of Central Command, with Navy Admiral William J. Fallon.
Since its inception, Central Command, which oversees the Middle East and South Central Asia, has been led only by a Army or Marine Corps General. The Navy has been largely on the sidelines while the Army and the Marine Corps have borne the brunt of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; both are starting to crack under the strain. Admiral Fallon is a fine officer and by all accounts has done a good job as head of the Pacific Command, the Navy’s traditional area of responsibility. But with little background in the Middle East or land warfare, his appointment appears to be based more on diffusing opposition to the military escalation in Iraq than on what is best for the soldiers and Marines on the ground and the country.
Set to make the disastrous decision to escalate our presence in Iraq, the President is in need of a military commander to support his decision. While General Abizaid publicly opposed the surge in troop levels in Iraq, it would be surprising if Admiral Fallon is not more agreeable.

Which makes him the right man for GWB.

January 5th, 2007 at 4:05 pmThis is going to be very interesting over the next few weeks. I think we will see the most confrontation between the administration and congress that we’ve seen in a very long time.
January 5th, 2007 at 4:06 pmThe most compelling reason for Bush to choose Fallon was probably that someone smarter than him told him not to.
Every decision from this guy comes at the end of a tantrum. “I’m the decider!”

January 5th, 2007 at 4:13 pmFrom Jeff Huber:
The legislature’s options for keeping Mr. Bush from sending more troops to Iraq is limited, but if he decides to unilaterally attack Iran, there’s virtually nothing Congress can do to stop him.
Bush and his legal beagle Alberto Gonzales could probably claim that the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) from September 2001 gives the executive power to exert armed force against Iran, especially given the echo chamber’s recent rhetoric about Iran being responsible for the violence in Iraq. And if you’ve been listening closely enough, you’ve heard the subliminal message associating Iran with the 9/11 attacks.
But Bush and Gonzales have a fallback position that’s darn near bulletproof. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 gives a president up to 90 days to commit forces to combat without permission from Congress. Ironically, the resolution was passed in the wake of the Vietnam conflict to prevent a president from waging extended conflicts without a declaration of war or “specific statutory authorization” from Congress, but today it gives Bush all the ammunition he needs to start a war with Iran (or anyone else, for that matter) on his own say so.

January 5th, 2007 at 4:49 pmI concur with those above who see this appointment as structuring things for a sea and air attack on Iran. The “surge” is to deal with the expected Shiite outrage when Iran is bombed. Therefore, the troops don’t need to be in Iraq for a long period of time, since everything in Iraq will quickly go back to normal after we take a bat to the hornet’s nest, just as it did after we first attacked Iraq. Another great post… As astute as ever : )
The American Empire was stealth… slowly building itself over decades. But Bush, the bumbling idiot that he is, has been blatant in his growing the Empire. And, unlike Hitler, is getting away with it. Though, I think that if he attacks Iran, there will be a united global coalition to attack us.
I’ve never been an advocate for violent intervention, but if someone could just give Bush a bj now (violent vomitiing would follow), We the People would be very grateful…

As Bronco pointed out above:
In light of the fact that Pentegon officials have raised concerns about the smuggling of weapons and arms by terrorist groups on the region’s seas — the selection of a Navy officer to head CentCom could be signaling the Pentegon’s interest in devoting more attention to countries in the region other than Iraq. But first and foremost keep you eyes peeled to watch for this — any military move against Iran would rely heavily on ship based missles and Naval fighter aircraft. And clearly keep in mind: Fifty percent of the world’s energy goes through one spot in the ocean, a mile-wide span in the Strait of Malacca.

January 5th, 2007 at 5:50 pmBush is always wrong so why are we surprised when he appoints an admiral to oversee land warfare?
January 5th, 2007 at 5:52 pmWhat’s Bush got to lose?
They’ve lost their Republican cushion in Congress, they know they could be weeks/months away from the results of investigations that could warrant impeachment and criminal trials. If you were this administration- one that allowed a new Pearl Harbor to occur so you could attack and occupy a defenseless country – that makes you criminally responsible for the deaths of 100s of thousands. Given this jeopardy, why not start another war? Hope that the chaos that ensues will allow a justification for martial law….personally, I think they waited too long, but that’s not to say they won’t still attempt it…because, really, what have they got to lose?
January 5th, 2007 at 5:56 pmKrazny,……I have my limit’s and “taking one for the team” in this case is not something I will do….I would contribute to the fund and storm the bastele (black house) with the masses to remove his miserable ass and put him in jail but I woulden’t give him a bj or even bitch slap him unless I can use a 10 foot pole……LOL….Blessings

January 5th, 2007 at 5:58 pmI can’t understand why the congress is not starting fast impeachment’s proceedings. Nancy Pelosi seems to be the ideal prez. for our current situation, and bush/cheney fast removal would certainly pacify international situation, especially in middle east.
January 5th, 2007 at 5:59 pmI can’t understand why the new congress is not starting the bush/cheney impeachment’s proceedings ASAP. Pelosi seems to be the ideal person for presidency under current circumstances, and the impeachment of bush/cheney and the neo conservative power, as the obvious result, should immediately pacify and drastically improve our international image , especially in middle east. I am kind of sure that it would end or at least greatly decrease the so named”insurgency” – the basic resistence to occupation, which is so strong in Iraq.

January 5th, 2007 at 6:05 pmI don’t think it’s even about the oil anymore, I think it’s about raping the treasury for all the $ they can siphon into the Pentagon, and then out to god knows whose pockets.
So putting a sailor in charge of a land war makes sense, they want to waste as much money as possible. Plus the navy has probably been whining about not getting a big enough chunk.

I can’t understand why the congress is not starting fast impeachment’s proceedings.
There’s no such thing as fast impeachment proceedings. Let them gather the evidence before they try the case. There are so many ways for Bush to weasel out, they need to make sure they block all the exits.
If it’s not done right, you get a botched job like Iran-Contra, where everyone got off the hook. The worst of them all, Ollie North, was given immunity for his testimony and he used it to shift all the blame to himself and then laugh in their faces.
I want these guys prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced. I don’t want just a show trial. I want this to stick.

The delay of impeachment means only more deaths of American troops and innocent Iaqi civilians. This slaghtter should be stopped ASAP
It may seem like it, but there’s nothing magical about declaring that we’re going to impeach that would make the war stop. It’s not a matter of whether or not anyone in Congress wants to impeach. And it’s not something that, if started right this minute, is going to pull the reins in on Bush and make the killing come to a complete stop. No, it simply doesn’t work the way you’d like to imagine it.
And, by the way, there is a long long list of things that also need attention, things that were left undone or done poorly by the Republicans. There are a lot of people suffering because of it. The Democrats in Congress will do everything they can to straighten up the mess as quickly as they can. Do you not care about healthcare? There are plenty of people dying in this country because they can’t afford it. The Dems need to fix that and they intend to, but that’s also going to take a long time. There are no magic wands. It took a long time to get us into this mess and it might take a long time to get us out.
January 5th, 2007 at 6:28 pmThe truth can’t be fully revealed. Realistically speaking, these two guys-bush/cheney should be simply hanged for staging of 9/11 and the knowing execution of 3,000 of their subjects-innocent civilians. The crashes of 9/11 are so perfectly showing the picture of the demolishing, which couldn’t have been done without knowledge of federal government. Unfortunately, there was without doubts a lot of other people knowingly involved, like, for example, “ALL AMERICAN” mayor-Rudy Guilliani, etc.. I don’t think that it is the good idea to reveal the entire chain of events in full. But I think that if bush/cheney are offered the alternative to resign immediately instead of being the subjects of leading to their hanging investigation, they would choose the former. I think that it might be the best way to get rid of both of them really ASAP.
January 5th, 2007 at 6:29 pmWho wants to chip in and we’ll send copies of ‘The March of Folly’ to everyone in the White House. We could probably get a volume discount.
January 5th, 2007 at 6:33 pmI think that like nixon this couple-bush/cheney should be convinced to resign. They are much more guilty and more important possess more OBVIOUS guilt, than nixon during watergate. All people around bush are resigning. He and cheney should do it fast also.
January 5th, 2007 at 6:34 pmYou know, this move to attack Iran may be just what we need. Set your fears aside for a moment and think about it.
To start, you have to wonder why the Russians and the Chinese both agreed to the toothless Iranian sanctions last week. Perhaps it was an open statement that the Iranians are now sufficiently secure that they can withstand the US Naval bombardment and the Israeli nuclear attack while bombing Israel back to the stone age at the same time. Wouldn’t that be a twist?
Looking at the Iranian defensive systems, they have already secured their civilian nuclear sites with very effective anti-aircraft systems and they can easily take out our aircraft carriers and battleships with their arsenal of Sunburn and Onyx missiles. I also suspect that these same anti-aircraft systems will prove quite effective against the untested Israeli nuclear systems as well. At the same time, their newly-mounted Shehab missiles will easily flatten the state of Israel overnight, never to rise again. Finally, given the superiority of the Iranian missiles and their fleet of torpedo boats, the US Navy will be hard-pressed to keep the Strait open for more that a few hours at a time.
Another factor which cannot be emphasized too much is that the US and Israeli forces cannot actually occupy Iran, not at all — the land area is too great and the sites which would require occupation are too numerous and too dispersed. Without an occupation, and with limitations on the damage that can be delivered to the Iranian infrastructure, I can easily see this turning out like another Lebanon of 2006.
I will tell you this though, nothing would please me more than to see the vaunted US military walk away with a black eye. I am hard-pressed to think of any situation which would be more conducive to World Peace than a momentous victory like that. And even if Iran does have to rebuild, they and the entire world will be far better off once the reconstituted State of Israel has been moved to Mozambique.
Wow!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 6:36 pmFirst of all I’d like to preface this statement by saying that I am an independent and by no means a big fan of George Bush. I’m voting either McCain or Obama in 2010.
I’m an OEF and Iraq War vet and Former U.S. Army Major and see no problem having a Navy Admiral run USCENTCOM. USCENTCOM is a strategic command and is not an operational command like the commands in Iraq (MNF-I and MNC-I) and Afghanistan (CJTF-76). Besides, Admiral Nimitz was a commander of ground troops (Marines and Army) in the Pacific in WWII and things seemed to have turned out OK.
January 5th, 2007 at 6:36 pmNusha, what aspects of the truth cannot be revealed? Can u point to some issues where this would hold true?
January 5th, 2007 at 6:38 pmExcellent points Nusha!! Glad to see that I wasn’t censored for bringing up the point that 911 was an inside job. I don’t think that resigning is something either would do, thinking that it might preclude further investigation into their potential complicity in the false flag terrorism of 911.
Thanks!!
January 5th, 2007 at 6:40 pmKaty, I’m confused by your post. Can you be more specific about what Rachel meant?
And yeah, I definately agree with most on this board…this move of placing an Admiral in charge of Centcom looks like the gun is pointed at Iran. Remember the “axis of evil?” Iraq, Iran and North Korea. And Chimpeach, absolutely this administration has made the Middle East much more dangerous. If we go after Iran, they DO have allies…notably, Russia and China, both with substantial military and nuclear weapons.

Greg, as unbelievable already stated, the discussion of 9/11 Truth is forbidden on ThinkProgress. Therefore, all I can say to you is: go do some research. If you’re open-minded at all, you’ll be shocked at what you find.
I’d post a link to another site where you can go to discuss 9/11 Truth in much more depth, but for some reason, TP deletes those posts as soon as they appear, so I’ll just have to advise you to do your own research in that area as well. Google is your friend.

It figures that your one of those Kool Aid drinking Liberals!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 7:22 pmLiberals are the most narrow minded people I have ever had the misfortune to meet…. I say we get rid of ALL the lawyers and liberals and make this Country Great again!!!!!!
Greg Nevis sez:
No, it doesn’t. Anti-Israel != Anti-Semitism
So, calling for the dissolution of the state of Israel is ‘repungant’, but a nuclear attack on Iran is OK.
Pot, meet kettle.
Actually, Israel is not, nor has ever been, an ally of the U.S.A.. Thanks for playing, though.
January 5th, 2007 at 7:23 pm#83 TripMaster Monkey
I think you and all the rest of the 9/11 Conspiracy theories are VERY SICK PEOPLE!!!! All of your theories have been disproved many times over. Why do you continue to spew your LIES?
January 5th, 2007 at 7:25 pmUnbelievable, I usually agree with most of your comments but just why doesn’t Judd want people discussing any of the 911 conspiracy stuff and why should we limit our “free speech” on a public blog? And I think that if it IS TRUE, then it IS something that should be discussed here and everywhere. Secondly, guess Greg Nevins agrees with you, although he’s a good deal more extreme, considering it treason to discuss the issue.

Well, so much for having an open mind, although from the tone of the rest of your posts, I honestly didn’t expect much.

Have you ever heard of Pre-Emptive strikes? You are one sick puppy!!!!!
Actually, Israel is not, nor has ever been, an ally of the U.S.A..
Israel is a very close ally to the U.S.A. and we have them armed to the teeth. It will be Israel that drops nuclear bombs on Iran… They have already been threatened by total destruction by the Leader of Iran. I say go ahead Israel and let the nuclear bombs totally destroy the evil empire of Iran!!!!!! NO BIG LOSS!!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 7:29 pmHay every one be careful with the ISRAEL stuff, remember.? I was locked out for over a week when I was screaming about all the killing’s in Lebanon…It rank’s up there with discussions on 9/11….Blessings
January 5th, 2007 at 7:30 pm#76 Nevins begins with “I think…”
Sorry, guy, but that’s where u got it wrong.
Furthermore, conflating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism will get you nothing but derision. I’d suggest sites for remedial education, but I suspect we’d have to reach back to your great-great grandfather to overcome the genetic entanglement.
Finally, failure to recognize that 9-11 was an inside job is symptomatic of untreated mental illness.
January 5th, 2007 at 7:31 pmIt is TREASON to continue to spread LIES with NO FACTS and claim that Bush or Cheney had any prior knowledge of the 9/11 attack. I never said it was Treason to discuss the issue….. Please don’t misinterupt my words!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 7:32 pmSharon, it all has to be said. The trick is how you say it, and so far, I’ve said quite a bit without being censored. Let’s take another look in the morning and see if any of it is still listed.
Regardless, I enjoy sharing this site with you. Peace.

This just proves my point that people that continue to believe all these ridiculous conspiracy theories of 9/11 need some serious mental health treatment. The whole thing is so silly that you have to be a 24/7 Kool Aid drinker to even give it an credibilty…. Please get some HELP soon stonhinge
January 5th, 2007 at 7:39 pmAs a vet. Sailor, a full Admiral is going to have alot of experience, but I would have never accepted the strategic orders of an Army General while on my ship. What would he know about naval weapon systems and naval tactics. Naval logistics and Army/Marine logistics are completely different. Maybe the plan is to turn it into a naval bombing campaign.
Though the Naval aspect could put some pressure on Iran. All because of an speculated nuclear weapons program and the unspoken fact that they have dropped the dollar for all oil sale transactions. FYI – global oil sales are one of the few things that provide positive value to the dollar.

See it now, dolt?
Izzat so? Perhaps then you could be so kind as to provide a link to the treaty of alliance we share. (Hint: you won’t find it, dolt, because it doesn’t exist.)
I’d comment on the rest of your post, but it’s not worth reading, much less replying to.

January 5th, 2007 at 7:43 pmBush has appointed Petraeus to replace Casey. Petraeus virtually ignored the contractors and handed out work to the Iraqis instead. Of course, it’s too late to do that anymore. Nevertheless, this is the first thing this administration has done in six years that hasn’t been an unqualified mistake.

And my charge is that Bush/Cheney et.al spread lies with no facts and took us into a war that killed 3,006 American troops, wounded over 20,000 and killed hundreds and thousands of Iraqi civilians. In addition, they are ripping apart the Constitution and Bill of Rights of this country. That, sir, is TREASON. And IF they were either complicit or simply allowed 911 to occur, for their own reasons, that’s TREASON as well.

January 5th, 2007 at 8:41 pmYou note sometihng I also have been noting in the past few days. This appointment fits in with an overall strategy (strategery?) that requires greater naval power, and I think I posted a brief comment here recently. If we are going to attack Iran (Israeli, Benjamin Netanhayu seems to think it’s a done deal) then we will likely use naval power over ground power. Also, look at what is happening in Africa. I think we are going to find ourselves involved in greater more global warfare with the stubborn and bellicose megalomaniac in the White House.
Can he really continue to find and place in high places, people with sufficient military experience and skills who will attempt to carry out his foolish, insane plans that will only cost more lives and treasure?

January 5th, 2007 at 8:42 pmHere’s the deal people. BushCIA-PNAC did 9/11 and anthrax (and Bali, Madrid, and London) – sure with some help from overseas buddies. Iraq and Afghanistan are going EXACTLY as planned. The countries are being ripped apart (with total control centralized in the US embassy in the capital), war profits are being made, and direct military control by the US empire is being established. I always think it’s stupid or just plain evil to mischaracterize Bush/Dem’s Iraq policy as a failure… when it is succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. But if you’re saying – hey, but it’s bad for the Iraqi, the Afghan, the typical US schmo wage-worker… well, buddy, welcome to capitalism.

Why then didn’t Bush call for a draft before the election? hmmmm. Maybe because he doesn’t have a legitimate reason. Maybe he sees his legacy going up in smoke and the only support he’s getting are the mental midgets that actually still listen to his crap.

January 5th, 2007 at 9:31 pm133. Have you been listening to the actual military or your Kung Fu grip GI Joe you won’t let go of. It has nothing to do with Kerry, Kennedy, Pelozi and Ried. It has nothing to do with McCain, Frist, Hagel,Hastert or DeLay.
It has everything to do with Wolfowitz, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Kagan, the PNAC and George W. Bush. They are the ones that pushed thru trumped up ideas about our impending doom by the hands of a man (Saddam) that was more scared of his own people than he was of us. We are now finding out why he was scared of him but the people that pushed for this war didn’t bother to actually look into what they were doing.
They force fed us the worst case scenarios about why we had to go to war (which Bush still doesn’t have the balls to have it declared so it’s still not a war) and they spoon fed us the best case scenarios of what would happen afterward.
They were wrong in both. America is now speaking up and will not give this president and administration any more benefits of doubt. It’s now just doubt.
Question your leaders is a very patriotic (and difficult) thing to do.

As for lower taxes… great. How much do you really save a year? How much does the wealthiest 10% save a year? Who’s going to pay off the unprecedented amount of debt, that this country is incurring, due to the borrowing that has been necessary to make up the shortfall caused by these tax breaks? Our children perhaps?

January 5th, 2007 at 9:50 pmWell let’s see Mr. Nevins, Bush and his cronies were wrong about the information that they cherry picked to push us into that conflict. Do you deny this? Yellow cake uranium, Aluminum tubes, mobile WMD trucks, greeted as liberators, get them there before the get us here, Al Qiada ties, mushroom clouds, 6 months, oil revenues will pay for this war, 140,000 troops is all we need and on and on and on.
Nobody here hates America you ignorant snit. We all love America enough to point out the terrible direction this administration is pushing us in.

The radical Muslim have stated time and time again, that the real problem that they have with the US, is our support of Israel, not our lifestyle and values. Stop parroting the spoon fed garbage and lies spread by the Zionist controlled corporate media.
And meanwhile, how much damage has Bush administration done, to chip away at our freedoms, in the name of preserving them?
LOL! You are a complete and utter fool.
Here are some thoughts to ponder…
30,000 people a year die from the common flu, every year, in the US.
That adds up to somewhere around 180,000 people that have died from the flu, since 911.
Yet don’t see any war on the flu. I don’t see any government imposed vaccinations.
I don’t see people scared of the flu, but I see fools scared of terrorism… all the time.
Ironically, those that are the most scared of terrorism, are the same fools that think that they are tough, because they support the war. LOL!!!
If saving lives, is the major impetus behind the “war on terror”, shouldn’t saving lives, from the flu, also be an important governmental task.
Certainly far more people die from the flu, than terrorism, in the US.

Iran’s is very open to their wish to remove Israel off the map and to control the strait of hormuz and the supply of oil. This is a religion fanaticism. Their state of mind is very different from our way of thinking. I will not sacrifice my family and my country for religious beliefs. I am sorry but that’s how I am. You spun your message like a spider spins a web. You can twist and re-state the words any way you want. Iran intends to drop a nuclear weapon on the State of Israel as soon as it gets it hands on one. If they get their hands on a 2nd nuclear weapon they will drop it on the U. S. and Kill Tens of Thousands of Innocent Americans. The Blood of ALL those Innocent Dead people will be on your hands because you want to appease Iran and allow them to make nuclear weapons for destroying Israel and Americans…… SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Ike must be spinning in his grave about the ‘military-industrial complex’
January 5th, 2007 at 10:22 pmTony, you are simply wrong. The definition of victory hasn’t been determined in 3 years and you think by using the word “RAPID” would make it so? Give it all we got sounds like the next slogan from the white house but it’s not an actual military term. What’s all we got? Throw all of our 1.4 million soldiers into Iraq? Leaving all other US interests such as S. Korea, Europe and Africa?
As for Iran. Did you see the latest elections there. They actually had elections and guess what…Their president (won’t even try to spell his name) and his party didn’t do so well. Yeah, seems like the Iranians are more concerned about the problems in their own country and don’t want to have a conflict with the US. Look it up.
Don’t be talking or acting like a wild west gunslinger with the US military.

President Bush is DEFENDING our Great Country and it is people like you that are trying to destroy this country……
January 5th, 2007 at 10:28 pmJPV – you mean Ahmadinejad is being misquoted? Gasp! You mean what he says about Israel is not actually accurate? Gasp! You mean he is the new ‘devil’? The new ‘Hitler’? The new ‘madman with WMD’? My word, well I guess the US will just have to put it’s other priorities, like impending economic collapse, universal health care, poverty, inequality and homegrown religious extremism on hold while it tilts at yet another windmill with our sons, daughters and taxes for fodder.

Errr… that scenario sounds very, VERY familiar! LOL!
January 5th, 2007 at 10:29 pm# 148 Another factor which cannot be emphasized too much is that the US and Israeli forces cannot actually occupy Iran, not at all — the land area is too great and the sites which would require occupation are too numerous and too dispersed.
We don’t need to occupy Iran to destroy their capability to produce nuclear weapons. Israel knocked out Saddam’s nuclear weapons facilities and they will with precision…. knock out the nuclear enrichment facilities in Iran… They know exactly weher they are Located and they will Destroy them!!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 10:31 pmJPV, u hitting on all cylinders tonite. Thank you so much. =)

Are you at least man enough to admit your error?
January 5th, 2007 at 10:37 pmthe information that they cherry picked to push us into that conflict. That is your opinion and I vehemently DISAGREE with you on this subject…..
Nobody here hates America you ignorant snit. We all love America enough to point out the terrible direction this administration is pushing us in.
This is EXCATLY what you do pinhead — You and all of your ilk in Hollyweird HATE AMERICA and WANT THE U. S. TO LOSE IN IRAQ!!!!
Don’t go blaming any Democrat for this conflict because it has been signed, sealed but not delivered by this president and his group.
January 5th, 2007 at 10:37 pmCongress AUTHORIZED the president to INVADE Iraq and Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Harry Reid, and Ted Kennedy VOTED to give the President this Authority. They are ALL Left Wing Liberal Cimmunist DEMOCRATS the last I checked…. ALL LOSERS AND COWARDS!!!!!!

January 5th, 2007 at 10:41 pmin reply to Stonehinge, I see that you are anti-military (criminal occupation according to you). I have not heard any of those so-called religious fanatics on U.S. televisions send their sons and daughters to strap themselves with bombs and kill innocents civilians. I don’t agree in concentrating in fighting the FLU (another blog) alone, much bigger things to worry about if we loose this one.

You conveniently shifted focus on to what percentage the wealthiest 10% pays of the tax burden. You did not address what effect that the tax break has had on the immense debt that the country is incurring and how we should be prepared to deal with i in the future.
If out country is under a threat from terrorism, then why did we attack Iraq? I don’t remember them ever attacking us.
If anything, the war in Iraq has done more to recruit new terrorists than any other event ever could have.
By the way, I am not a Liberal or a Democrat.
I consider my self a Conservative, though not a Republican, with perhaps, Libertarian leaning ideals.
Not that you would know what the differences are between these ideas anyway. You’re quite vocally supporting the Bush Administration, which have proven themselves to be fiscal and legislative Liberals, but you are too damned stupid to even understand these distinctions. LOL!!!
Anyway… you’re either hopeless or just plain paid by the GOP to type such nonsense.
Either way… you’re an idiot!
January 5th, 2007 at 10:43 pmYour ignorance is overwhelming. First off, there can be no victory in a criminal occupation. Secondly, Iran has never once claimed that Israel should be wiped off the map. Finally, the most radical religious groups in the world can be found on US television stations every Sunday morning.
I have no idea what criminal occupation that you are refrerring to dim wit. Second, The Leader of Iran is constantly on TV exposing aabout the Demise of the State of Israel. Do you own a TV dim wit?
I never heard of any religious group on sunday TV calling for the Total Destruction of Israel, Christians and Infidels in the West…. Your meassge is disinguenous at BEST and a total Fabrication in the LEAST!!!!!
January 5th, 2007 at 10:44 pmSTOP THE BICKERING THEN, JUST RELAX AND WAIT. IF IT HAPPENS THEN WE WILL DEAL WITH IT. MAYBE THE ENEMY WON’T HIT US IF WE DON’T PROVOKE THEM. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WILL DO FROM NOW ON. GOODBYE YOU ALL.
January 5th, 2007 at 10:50 pmNevins, If your sorry missinformed ass is going to vehemenlty disagree with me then prove it. Otherwise your comment is fart in the wind. There was no yellow cake uranium going to Iraq. None and GW still used it in his SOTU speech. He was wrong and knew it.
As for your bullshit comment about hating America well that’s just digital diarrhea and I’LL VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE WITH YOU. You aren’t the determinator of Patriotism. Your the flag bearer of an asshole.
You are the coward. You’d much rather be told what’s important than to actually go out in the world and see it.
I served in the military because I believe in this country. I also speak out becasue I believe in this country. You even begin to question my patriotism to feed your feeble little need to stay in the dark I will digitally pull your scrawny little throat thru this screen and tie you into more knots than what you normally due with your less than rigid manhood.

Sorry Honey, I don’t hang out in sleazy Bars… It seems that you do and have me mistaken with the drugged up alcoholic that you took home tonight…. This would explain your idiotic messages tonite…. Knoick off the drugs and alcohol and PLEASE stay out of those sleazy bars…..
January 5th, 2007 at 10:51 pmNevins, I wish I could you help out here, but the inbreeding must have occurred generations ago. Just to save you any further embarrassment, the laws of physics have already determined that the Israelis can’t even come close to knocking out the Iranian nuclear sites, even with nuclear bunker-buster bombs. I hate to see it myself, but you might want to start getting used to a bit different scenario where Tel Aviv and Haifa end up looking more like parking lots.
Try that.

Jeez… What on earth does that have to do with the debt that we are incurring due to the Bush Administration tax break.
You’re starting to make even less sense than normal… if that’s possible. LOL!
Anyway, to address your current nonsense. We were attacked on 911 because of our support of Israel and it’s crimes against the Palestinians. Plain and simple.
January 5th, 2007 at 11:06 pmYeah, the calls for nuking Iran have gotten so bad, I think we need to start rescinding the tax exemptions for some of these people. We could start with Hagee.

Why would you hear about religious groups on sunday TV calling for the Total Destruction of Israel? Although, there have been a few religious personalities and groups that have called for the Total Destruction of Iran…
In the same vein, why would you hear about religious groups on sunday TV calling for the Total Destruction of Christians. They are Christians, dolt, although there have been a few religious personalities and groups that have called for the Total Destruction of Muslims…
As for the infidels, your powers of observation are as dull as your wit. What exactly do you think ‘homosexuals’ and ’secular humanists’ are?
My God…and I thought the last sentence was bad. You really are breathtakingly stupid.
By the way, did you google ‘Downing Street Memo’ yet?
And how’s that search for the treaty of alliance between Israel and the U.S. coming?
January 5th, 2007 at 11:08 pmas that is where the Al Queda are hiding. Saddam Hussein was a TERRORISTS and he was Harboring Terrorists in Iraq
Yup, you were that guy at the bar. I know someone who can help with the dental work. Remember, Ronald Reagan took Iraq off the sponsor of terrorism list, and since Ronny is Saint and infallible, Saddam couldn’t have been a harbor for terrorists.
He Bluffed us into believing that Iraq had weapons of Mass Destruction
No, Chimpy and his Organ Grinder bluffed you into it, and by selecting what the Senate got to see, so they bluffed the Senate into it too. Please try to keep up. Downing Street Memo Greg.

Pretty please? With sugar on top.
January 5th, 2007 at 11:17 pmfor a well healed traveler you have the appearence of a pissant. Greg your an asshole, and a blind asshole at that. I am not, or have ever been a shrill or talking piece for the liberal communist whatever the f#ck your scared little brian wants to call it.
This military adventure in Iraq has been handled wrong from day one and I do know a little bit about this arena. You want to get into fact land than start showing some facts. You want to masterbate while typing then just continue with your little left handed exercize.
You are a pathetic, mindless piece of shit. The documents that GWB stated showed that Iraq was securing yellow cake uranium have been proven to be forgeries. The Italian Govt and the British Govt both stated so. Prove that didn’t happen.

THIS IS THE NO SPIN ZONE!!!!! Ahmadinejad’s statements were correctly translated (even by CNN) and he wants to wipe the State of Israel off the face of the earth. That is AN ACT OF WAR and the Israelis have the RIGHT to make a Pre-Emptive strike against Iran and turn that country into a parking lot!!!!!! Better yet, send all the Palestinians to live in the bombed out Iran — then they can’t starp a bomb to their bodies and KILL more INNOCENT Israelis in Israel………

Hmm Ahmadinejad wants regime change in Israel and that’s an ACT OF WAR? Congratulations to the Israelis for their restraint thus far, not dissimilar to Kim Jong Il’s restraint in the face of US threats or the West’s restraint in the face of Kruschev’s ‘bury you’ bluster. Thankfully, I doubt you will find yourself in a similar position to be so tested, Greg.
Please be careful with your casual genocidal advocation, Greg, one might be persuaded that all your shirts are of one color: brown.
January 5th, 2007 at 11:27 pmAfter reading all these comments I just wrote an urgent message to Nancy Pelosi and also to my state representative. If you would like to do the same, write to Ms. Pelosi at speaker.house.gov and write to your state representative (I found the address by typing NJ representative and the site came up with a place to write comments).
I find it very disturbing that it does seem that Bush might be planning to set up a new battle now, one with Iran. So if you want to contact Pelosi or your state rep like I did, please write them to revoke the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) from September 2001 which would give Bush the executive power to exert armed force against Iran without Congressional approval. Thanks.

Sorry, I’m not American. No need to be embarrassed on my behalf. However, you will find that you can pick out the wheat from the chaff most days on this site. Its a bit chaotic but there are gems in the mud slinging form time to time. Every now and again, we get someone doing a ’stretch’ who gets access to a browser…. hence your Greg’s and your Halibuts.
January 5th, 2007 at 11:30 pmGreg, are you scared of talk? Kim Jong Il has said some terrible things against us. Maybe we should be invading North Korea. You know France has been so, so French against us. Let’s invade. The fact is about Iran is that they are not going to be able to use nuclear weapons against us. They don’t have the capability to get them here. There own people have shook him up in the latest elections.
If Israel feels so threatened then why aren’t they doing the bombing of Iran. They’ve done it before. You talk big but don’t back anything up. You act as if you have so much knowledge and time on your hands. Is that you Rumsfeld?
January 5th, 2007 at 11:33 pmIsrael can fight its own wars… they have approx 200 nukes so why is anyone worried? Bush wont touch Iran… He’s got too many problems clearing and holding 1 major city in Iraq…N Korea will eventually sell its 50kg of enriched plutonium to the highest bidder (most probably the US)… Dont worry …. Be happy…. King Bush is in charge of policing the world…

January 5th, 2007 at 11:47 pmhellinabucket sez:
Actually, the real fact about Iran is that they are years, if not decades away from developing even a single nuclear weapon.
Iran’s fissile material is nowhere near the purity required to be used as weapons-grade. To remove fissile material from their reactor, they have to shut it down…an action immediately obvious to our spy satellites. Iran has only 164 centrifuges, nowhere near the approximately 16,000 required to produce any appreciable amount of weapons-grade fissile material in any reasonable time frame.. And, assuming that Iran somehow magically manages to overcome all these impossible hurdles, it has no way to actually get the weapon to us.
By contrast, Israel has over 200 U.S. manufactured nuclear warheads.
Those are the real facts about Iran and it’s ‘nuclear threat’.
By the way, North Korea has nukes…Kim’s probably getting an inferiority complex because Bush has been ignoring him so. Too bad there’s no oil in Korea…

January 5th, 2007 at 11:56 pmBy the way, North Korea has nukes…Kim’s probably getting an inferiority complex because Bush has been ignoring him so. Too bad there’s no oil in Korea…
We can all thank William Jefferson Clinton that North Korea has nuclear weapons. Slick Willy was too busy gettin BJ from Monica in the Oval Office while the North Koreans got the material to produce nuclear weapons. Let me see, wasn’t it Slick Willy who was handed Osama bin Laden 3 times on a silver platter and he REFUSED to take him!!!!!!! Good going SLICK WILLY….

Take a number, Terry..I’m still waiting for him to produce proof to back up his assertion that the U.S. and Israel have a treaty of alliance.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:00 amActually I’m not embarrased…I’m saddened that this once great country is now run by a self anoinnted “King”. King Bush…. An idiot that has taken this once great nation into the bowels of hell… to fight a war of his choosing based on lies, manipulation and fear!!! Your a fool to allow Bush to lead this nation! Every single life lost in Iraq lays squarely on the shoulders of King Bush and his supporters!!! If you support him King Bush … Look in the mirror… YOUR RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE AMERICAN SOLDIERS DEATHS…
LTG David Petraeus mission will be to direct a counterinsurgency battle. He will test his counterinsurgency theories in the cities of Iraq. He will attempt to follow the aei battle plan… house to house, building to building block to block fighting…Outcome? failure… The enemy will only engage on their schedule.
LTG David Petraeus previus job was to train the Iraqi Security Forces… we can see how well that turned out… Copmpletely infiltrated by the enemy! I would imagine the Iraqi military is the same.
Clear and hold… remember Beruit? This escalation will be a disaster.

I think it was the frequent use of CAPITAL LETTERS that gave him/them away. But, the rants all sound pretty much the same, like he’s trying to convince us that he’s someone that he’s not.

Hey Greg, here’s the first list to read. Forgive me if I go to bed early, I’ve had quite enough to drink and Trip says you need to turn in his homework assignment which you appear to have neglected while you were at the bar with me earlier.

You have become tiresome nevin. I’ve played this game with many who came before you. I’m hoping you do vote for a republican in 2008. You’ll be easy to spot when the final tally for the republicans are in the teens. You threw out several of the tired talking points that don’t have any truth. But you’ve never been about truth.
Clinton? come on man (big assumption on my part) give it up already. And Osama? You are willing to give shrub a pass for 5 years AFTER we were attacked. Didn’t you earlier rant on that? Why yes you did but since you have no actual basis to understand an argument and would rather blow smack out your ass then actually discuss this I don’t give a f#ck what you say.
You’re just jealous about the BJ’s anyways.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:09 amWell, it’s late…time for me to get to bed.
It’s a shame that Greg Nevins didn’t have the courage of debate me….oh well…perhaps between now and tomorrow his testicles will drop.
And Greg, remember, I’ll be asking you about that treaty when I see you again, so you need to get cracking.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:11 amYou people are rediculous, you all sit here and read some biased internet news and feel like you have all the answers. I deplore you liberal shitsacks to go and actually do something positive for your country, aside from running from any confrontation that isn’t touchy feely enough for you.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:11 amMr. Intelligent? Nah, I don’t think so, Nevins. I’m just gonna call you Mr. Stupid-like-a-claw-hammer, cuz….that’s what you have shown me so far.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I actually welcome intelligent and challenging commentary from the right. However, you have failed to provide even one supporting fact to buttress your asinine assertions, not even one. Furthermore, it’s now obvious that you can’t handle the truth about the 9-11 scam, the yellow-cake scam, the utter failure of Bushco to address the real needs of this nation, the Zionist scam which underlies this entire nightmare and the impending doom which hovers over the State of Israel.
So why are u here? Can you even answer a simple question like that?
Why are you here?
January 6th, 2007 at 12:14 amCan you ever imagine our founding fathers speaking in these terms? We should all be ashamed.
I agree with you…… All of you UN-PATRIOTIC AMERICANS that can only come up with CUT and RUN in IRAQ should be ashamed of yourselves. Our Brave Troops in Iraq deserve more than this…. If you don’t like it here then I would suggest you ALL move to IRAN if you think it is such a great place with a peaceful Leader…..
January 6th, 2007 at 12:14 amvedwed, it’s late…but I have an opening tomorrow. It’s not too long a window, but judging from your post, you shouldn’t take long.
Should I pencil you in?
January 6th, 2007 at 12:15 amBy contrast, Israel has over 200 U.S. manufactured nuclear warheads.
Yes, and I can’t wait till they drop a few on Iran and Destroy the nuclear enrichment facilities in that evil country….

I’d be more than happy to shred that one for you. The last time that North Korea tested a nuke, do you know when that one had been manufactured? During George H. W. Bush’s presidency. Do you know how many nukes they produced while Clinton was in office? Zero. All of the nuclear weapons that the North Koreans have now were produced while someone named Bush was living in the White House. The IAEA was allowed to inspect North Korea’s nuclear facilities from 1992 to 2003. There were no nukes produced by them during Clinton’s eight years in office.
You really are a complete imbecile, dolt.

I don’t have to produce any treaty of alliance to prove that Israel is one of our closet Ally’s….. Really!!! A massive gassive for sure. ROFLMAO.
You know, I just wish somebody would discuss with me why they think Russia and China supported the sanctions. It is such a simple question. If we can somehow manage to read those leaves, I think we’ll be able to see a good deal more of the future that we can see right now.

Actually, he could have spelled ‘ridiculous’ correctly. Finishing high school helps with spelling and grammar.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:51 amStonehinge, you asked about reasoning for why China and Russia supported Iran sanctions. I tried earlier posting a link but the TP censor is still running around somewhere. Look for Jorge Hirsch on Information Clearing House: “Why did Russia and China vote to sanction Iran?”
January 6th, 2007 at 12:54 amHere’s a question. How do you thinkd Iran will take our new UN rep?
January 6th, 2007 at 1:03 amNone of this would have happened had it not been for more volunteers in the armed services

BTW, how old are you BTW Nevins? I believe that the enlistment age is up to 43 right now.
Just a thought.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:04 amJPV, even with the advanced age enlistment there is still a minimum IQ test. And mental instability will be one of the few things that will bar a person from the service.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:08 amMrjj, that is an important observation…the non-military escalation clause. However, freezing the assets of 10 Iranian companies is far from trivial. And I’m sure the 12 individuals whose assets were frozen are not exactly happy about the situation.
What is even more interesting to me, is that Russia’s contract to finish construction of the Iranian nuclear reactor was specifically excluded from the agreement, or at least that is what I have been led to believe.
Furthermore, the statements from China and Iran that were reported in that NYT article are really cryptic. Exactly what are we to make of:
– Larijani
I wonder what Larijani means by tactical issues? And I wonder what China gained by signing this resolution? I have no doubt that this report was a signal to somebody, but at this point, I have no idea who that somebody was.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:11 amJimmy Fallon’s grampa.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:14 amTerry, I read Hirsch’s article, but I left feeling he didn’t quite have the answers yet. That is why I was hoping to kick up some interest here in the forum. Hirsch’s contention was that Bush had made some promises to Russia and China that Iran would not be attacked. But that doesn’t seem to play out given the restructuring of the military management. I think something else is at play, but I just don’t get it.

I am deeply disturbed over posts showing up, only to get deleted. Posts which adhere to the Terms of Use. It doesn’t seem to happen to the Trolls posts in the same manner as some of mine.
It’s as if some of my posts hit a little too close to home for someone of the powers that be. I’ve done some posting over at tpmmuckracker the past couple of days, and have been reading here and over at dailykos.
My winter break is rapidly coming to an end, and I am getting quite busy. I’ve barely had time to read the thinkfast first thing in the morning, then get back late at night, after the threads have gone dormant.

January 6th, 2007 at 1:41 amHe’s the right man for coordinating ground air sea movements when Iran happens
January 6th, 2007 at 1:55 amOh lord. As the (pending) commander of Centcom, Fallon will not be involved in day-to-day tactical affairs. He won’t deploy units hither and thither. His job is more to ensure his subordinates have the troops they need, to keep the machine running, so on. The role is akin to that of a CEO — not running the plants themselves, but giving broader goals for things like policy and such.
His soon to be right-hand man, Lt. Gen. Petraeus, is a fine general, well decorated, able and knowledgeable. This odd arrangement of a seemingly unfit superior and an aggressive, capable subordinate is not so strange. Robert E. Lee was known for issuing for vague orders and trusting his subordinates to plan the details. And if Fallon trusts the intuition and abilities of his subordinates, he stands the chance of seeing some success.
Also, there is one other major point. Up until Belleau Wood in 1918, the Marine Corps had seen only limited land fighting and was concentrated on its appointed task, the security of US naval vessels and facilities. After Belleau Wood, the Marine Corps became a preeminent land war fighting force. Bona fide and all.

January 6th, 2007 at 6:52 amI don’t get and a lot of my countrymen don’t either why you’re complaining so much about bush.I mean if anyone else had your power and september 11 happened rest assured there woruld be no Iraq,Iraq,Afghanistan,North Korea,Pakistan to talk about. The russians are losing more troops in a week in Cecenia than you’re losing in a month in Iraq, hell the same omunt of russian troops are commiting suicide. As for the cost of the war you’re complaining so much,it hardly seems much, alltogether the wars have cost 600 billion witch is 1% of your combined GDPs in the last 4 years. And also just so you know you’re disconsedered by your enemies because of you’re lack of resolve,if you retreat know no one will ever respect again beause you’d be just a “paper tiger”.One more thing you’re belief in isolationism is wrong, the world is not an Eden which the United States is destroying,it’s actually a jungle where survival of the fittest is the general rule, where only the US is the good player in this hegemonic world.I’m not an american but i love what the US stand for and its benevoulent ways,i know from the experience of my country(hundreds of year of occupation, millions of people killed),that Russia,France or communist China would use their power in the most corrupt ways if you were to go into isolationism and in the end come after you.

January 6th, 2007 at 6:55 amBush can act irresponsibly and push past all sensible limits because he has the ultimate backup — nuclear weapons. If he provokes conflict with Iran and our troops are overrun, or if terrorists start to overrun US positions, or if all-out civil war breaks out, you may not even hear a discussion beforehand. Yes, we’ve given him that power, too. We’re on the verge of getting the ultimate ethical black eye.
Stop him. Take those powers away. They’re being abused.
January 6th, 2007 at 7:36 amHello civil netians,
January 6th, 2007 at 7:45 amI believe that this “war” is win-able but only when we stop calling it a war. There is much validity in asserting that the solution to allowing Iraq to withdraw from being threat to the US was swinging on a rope a few days ago. The newly elected government of Iraq and the shadow players behind them are fully capable and accountable for the future of Iraq. We can just leave.
As Bush’s blunders grow larger, we’re getting closer to the point of war with Iran, all-out civil war in Iraq, or terrorists overrunning a US base. Bush’s ultimate backup is nuclear weaponry, which is deployed mostly through the US carrier battle groups under Naval command. Using nucs will be the ultimate black eye for our country. Take away these powers before Bush uses them to discredit our nation for all time. Stop him now.
January 6th, 2007 at 7:46 amMr. Gembol,
January 6th, 2007 at 7:55 amI think the ultimate black eye for our Country is its departure from reasonable checks and balences in its government. Our government is less transparent and unaccountable for its actions. We can’t be the inspiration for others until we achieve it here first.
stay-the course Ranger George in “good†company…
…The perceived failings of U.S. foreign policy placed Bush alongside al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a cause of global anxiety, they said.

January 6th, 2007 at 8:36 amSeems that everyone seems to know how to run and direct a war. Our Constitution allows us life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. This is a God given right but no matter the party affiliation not all will agree on diplomacy and wars. I anxisously await the 110th Congress solution to the war in Iraq, Minimum Wage increase and Stem Cell research. Look at previous adminstrations and realize they have skeltons in there closets that will never be reveald in public. Only way Americans can make a difference is to vote which is a privilege here but in other countries you do not have a choice. If you did not vote in local, state, or national elections then you really have no basis for complaints of who is in office.
January 6th, 2007 at 9:30 amI see everyone is so bent out of shape but the reality is that 911 was a freak occurance and that is obvious. Just prevent it , it can easily be done without wars. Instead of wars lets have a renaissance of culture, public works, healtcare, spiritual stuff to beautify our world, as it is so ugly and boring, there is no presence or time for art and beauty anymore, just commercial art. This would spread the word around and gain admiraers and copycats especially in places like Iraq. The rest is just a bunch of kids war games and playing court like boys love to do in dark rooms gleefull. But death is not fun like hollywood tells you, visual art is fun because it gives quality of life and should be the major topic in congress, white house, etc.. The rest is just a bunch of bull and nobody gets it. Shame.
January 6th, 2007 at 9:43 amYou idiots are amazingly predictable. What a bunch of clowns so you do not like an appointee wow no body saw that one comming I’m sure.
January 6th, 2007 at 9:55 amUnbelievable, I usually agree with most of your comments but just why doesn’t Judd want people discussing any of the 911 conspiracy stuff
I don’t think he’s said why.
and why should we limit our “free speech†on a public blog?
This is not a true public blog. It’s a private blog (with posted rules and conditions) on a public internet.
And I think that if it IS TRUE, then it IS something that should be discussed here and everywhere.
One problem is that it is riddled with overly complicated explanations when the reality is that the simplest is more likely the right answer, and it doesn’t have facts to validate its claims. I realize there are reasons it claims not to have the ability to get the facts, but as liberals, I thought we’d know better than to jump to conclusions without proof.
Again, it might be true, but it doesn’t have proof that it is – just a lot of unanswered questions for which people are speculating. Not exactly scientific.
Secondly, guess Greg Nevins agrees with you, although he’s a good deal more extreme, considering it treason to discuss the issue.
Comment by impeachcheneythenbush — January 5, 2007 @ 7:26 pm
Greg Nevins doesn’t agree with me. He hasn’t actually considered it. He is just innately standing against anything from the left.
I’ve explored the theory, and come to the conclusion through thought (unlike Greg) that there is no proof, and certainly that the building collapse speculation is hurting the cause because it isn’t willing to explore or accept the most simple explanations.
I wanted to answer your why questions, because I feel it is rude to not answer people who have valid questions – but I don’t want to get into this. I’ve clearly made my point about this topic in the past and now, I think it is simply a matter of respecting Judd’s wishes to not discuss it. I hope you understand why I would like to leave it at this. Thanks.
January 6th, 2007 at 9:56 amPerhaps dubbya thinks the sight of the Navy’s arrival in Baghdad (2 or 3 ships at least) will bring peace to a nation at war with itself!
January 6th, 2007 at 10:04 amCould you guys stop with the 9/11 Inside Job stuff already?
Judd has asked you not to talk about it here, and now the rest of us have to put up with the whining from people whose posts get deleted for talking about it after he’s asked them not to do it here.
There are plenty of places to go to discuss it. It’s TP’s prerogative to not want it discussed here. Please respect that and stop forcing it on people who’ve said that they don’t want to hear about it.
It’s become a religion to many people – and even IF you are right – you’re turning liberal people off by pushing it down their throats when they’ve asked that you back off.
Thank you

Grow up – it was Judd’s request and I was simply reminding people who then complain about TP for hours when their links and posts on the subject get deleted….
I think I’m someone who can respect the fact that Think Progress does not want to discuss this issue, and who is tired of the constant complains about it. Who the hell do you think you are to scream and curse at others just because you don’t get your own way? Especially when claiming that being a Progressive is about not forcing your views on others, and respecting differing opinions.

I see, when you have no facts, you resort to insults. Pretty much makes you a liberal troll…
Well, go ahead and get banned again Santo. Hasn’t stopped you before.
By the way – lying is claiming that something is true when you know it isn’t. I’ve always taken the perspective of asking for proof – not making claims. Hope that helps.

January 6th, 2007 at 11:15 amI am happy to see your posts again. I don’t want to think that you have been censored by TP, but more that their spam filter goes goofy sometimes and deletes, restores and deletes again. If TP has censored posts, then I want to know why the trools who derail the thread with their ad hominem and irrelevant attacks, not to mention the gross distortion and disinformation they supply, haven’t been banned.
Whoa…what a pitiful thread, for the fact that the site managers allow that Nevins troll to post ad nauseum such complete crap!!

January 6th, 2007 at 12:04 pmCould it be within their wildest dreams that a Shiite majority government could permit or facilitate a Sunni minority ethnic cleansing process and thus embroil neighbouring Arab Sunni military forces[Gog]in a conflict with Iranian[Magog] Shiite military forces in the Muslim equivalent of the Battle of Armageddon…with both sides being cheered on from the sidelines by the Us and Israel as a sectarian civil war spreads to embroil all the Muslim Nations on the planet, thus solving the clash of civilization problem for the remainder of this millenium…Gee! What will they think of next??
[I'm only half kidding you,friends]
Hey Headinabucket
I scrolled through and read you’re still talking about yellowcake I thought we went through this already either was if the receipt was real well then it was what it was. If it was fake and “A very poor one at that” well then that’s proof that Iraq was trying to buy yellow cake. Remember Joe Wilson went on to prove this with his visit when he came back to say he ask them and they said it was not true. But then he went on to explain that Iraq had sent an envoy there to discuss reopening trade relations. He was to much of a retard to consider with his four brain cells that the only thing up for trade negotiations with Iraq would be yellow cake. Iraq has all the dirt they need.
We went over this your still confused huh?
Any intelligence agency with a higher level of competency than the little rascals make believe spy agency. Has the ability to create a receipt that could not discerned weather fake or not. The ONLY reason to create a poor fake would be a smoke and mirrors stunt to fool fools like yourself.
It’s like for instance I’m a crack dealer selling crack with several crack heads testifying I sold them crack. I go to court and tell the judge “You can’t trust these people your honor their crack heads” and then have your buddy in the dept. submit some poorly forged crack purchase receipts.
Then I tell the judge “look here your honor the crack purchase receipts are not real so you must acquit.â€
If you’re thinking “that sounds stupid” well for one thing why would a drug dealer make receipts for crack sales? Heh that’s not the half of it. Why would anyone make a poor and obvious forgery? The cops would not they would no it could only work against them.
This proves my point that the majority of America has no street smarts, is incapable of reasoning simple logic. And you as well as 90 percent of this forum are right there in the same boat. Of course that’s why you are stupid Demoncrats.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:13 pmAll of these are astute remarks. The problem is that none of the neocons (including Bush) and the fanatic, rabid right-wing Republicans will ever read these comments. What we need is a nationwide chain letter, where everyone sends out letters with personal statements to sympathetic Republicans in Congress, floods the White House mail room, appeals to the officers in the states’ National Guard. We need to be shouting on streetcorners in Red states, grabbing people and shaking them, if necessary. It is easy to feel helpless- the War Powers Act, etc., seemingly making a “pre-emptive strike” on Iran a certainty. I was a part of the 60’s anti-war movement. People have to he heard and seen, not just on the Web. Loud and clear public opinion can make a difference.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:25 pmIf you take the water out of the ocean it then becomes a desert. We might even find oil underneath. See, GWB is smart!
January 6th, 2007 at 12:29 pmOh and Vladimir
I skimmed through your post also and I appreciate your perspective and let me explain it. Just like the communist controlled the media in communist Russia. The Left wing ideology controls it here in the states. They have “Dumbed Down” (a phrase google it if you like there is a good book on the “dumbing down” of America”) America with the public school system and the communist teachers union for the last 30 years to the point that our citizens are like putty to be molded by propaganda. Take that and then understand that anything good that happens is spun as a direct response to a democrat action. While anything bad is a directly attributed to a republican action. Then there is the Glass half empty or glass half full approach to molding people’s perception of how they feel about things.
When Clinton had a 6 percent unemployment rate the media trumpeted it as a great thing. The same media poo poos Bush’s low 4 percent unemployment rate. See how it works.
So if the Demoncrats can sabotage the country in their hopes to handicap our military and hopefully (in their eyes only …. well there is their coconspirators the terrorists) cause as much deaths of American troops as possible. Well this will be bad for the president and what is bad for the president is good for them.
If you know of biblical stories this is just like the story of King Solomon and the two women arguing about the baby. The Demoncrats would gladly split the baby.

January 6th, 2007 at 12:52 pmFallon was a combat fighter pilot during Vietnam; callsign “Fox”, with attack operations experience from Gulf War I (land warfare) and Bosnia (land warfare). Pacific Command has 300,000 military personnel- he was charge of all that. 150,000 troops in the middle east won’t be a problem for him. Do your homework.
January 6th, 2007 at 12:53 pmAny liberal accussed stupid move President Bush makes pales by light years in comparison to the approximately 50 million unborn children who were murdered since the 1970s by the liberal supported abortion laws. Nancy Pelosi and her vote for partial birth abortion leads the way. The time to pray is now
January 6th, 2007 at 12:58 pmI agree there may not much the Dems can do to stop Bush attacking Iran. But I think Speaker Pelosi should let him know that if he does so without Congressional approval, the House will immediately launch impeachment proceedings. I know she said it was off the table, but I think it should go back on. I hear they are talking about using nukes. Talk about high crimes and misdemeaners! The list is getting longer and longer.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:02 pmto #73 I am NOT fully understanding your frustration with people who believe the 9/11 incident(neo-cons dream come true) was set in motion by Israel and it’s military commanders in the so-called U.S.of A. by secretly allowing this well known plan, already known by the Mossad and C.I.A., to materlize thense… Pearl Harbor. (neo-cons) Israel has shown it cannot fight hand to hand combat but LOVES bombing tatics taught by our govt. Oh Boy! do they ever. Their own Rabbi’s call them”Zionist” unworthy of true biblical teachings of the Torah
January 6th, 2007 at 1:05 pmNancy Pelosi leads the pack to continue the murdering of innocent unborn children. Pray for our country!
January 6th, 2007 at 1:12 pmAgain, the president is putting a person in charge of a guerrilla warfare area who has little experience in counterinsurgency. Abizaid had a good background, and his advice for a replacement should have been followed.
The president was elected with a limited foreign affairs background, and we are paying the price, and will do so until the next election. Hopefully a person who understands world affairs will be elected president in ‘08. Till then, whatever the president says, goes, because lawmakers will not withhold funds from the troops that are ordered into battle. A rescinding of the original permission to use military force given by the Congress might work, but the will to do so seems lacking.
January 6th, 2007 at 1:35 pmIt’s obvious why Bush always hires people not fit for their job. If they were competent, then there would be a risk that they would oppose Bush’s opinions.
Instead choose Harriet Myers for the Supreme Court, John Bolton for the U.N. Ambassadorship, and a Navy Admiral to manage a land war. That way, they will know that they have no right to challenge Bush, as they wouldn’t be in those positions on their own merits.
I noticed that Harriet Myers was good enough for the Supreme Court, but wasn’t up to the task of legally covering Bush’s rear when the subpoena’s start rolling in. So she’s out and somebody actually competent will be taking her place.
Why would the replacement be competent? Because it is George Bush’s personal interests that are on the line, and those *are* important.

January 6th, 2007 at 3:06 pmI can’t figure out why the American left, after condemning fundamentalists in the US for decades, is keeping mum about the fundamentalists killing thousands right now all over the world. You guys are blind partisans ignoring the real daily horrors that Islamists are happily conducting on a daily basis from Thailand to India to Europe. Theo van Gogh made a movie that they didn’t like, so they slashed his throat in the broad daylight. And the best the left can do is come up with half-witted conspiracy theories about how the Jews took down the WTC and knee-jerk jokes about how dumb Bush is? You have GOT to be kidding me! People are dying…women are having their clitorises plucked out! Women in Saudi Arabia are forced to walk five feet behind their domineering husbands, clad from head to toe in black, and aren’t allowed to drive! All churches and synagogues are banned, except Islam. And this is the philosophy they export to the US in the mosques that are supported by the Saudi government. While the right-wingers are in a tizzy over the Mexicans and the left-wingers are in a tizzy over how Bush is a war criminal for, a real terror is sweeping the globe. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com

My Dear Crassus,
Your “innocent” kidding could be called plan Z. I am frankly worried about Shiaa nuclear objectives. I do not think that the rhetoric against Israel by the “young” Shiaa inexperienced President will be applied. I’m rather seeing sunni countries (World oil suppliers)in grave danger. I am not kidding!
January 6th, 2007 at 4:20 pmIt is a big mess out there. Sunni and Shiaa will never get together even if Iran is in danger. Persian have a long fed hatred towards Arabs especially Sunnis. Look at Irak during Saddam era: genocide and torture against mostly Shiaa. Today Shiaa is taking a hearty vengeance against the Sunnis and sooner or later the Sunnis will have to leave. Result: Iran has expanded its borders (trouble-free) beneath the radar. I am very worried about the future. Now remember China’s main oil supplier: Iran. So there is something to think about. If I tell you that the world has not been in a worse mess than now. Civilisation can only be with civism and its crash could never be for the benefit of mankind.
Another puppet…just what we needed.
January 6th, 2007 at 4:47 pm[...] A Question of qualifications Meanwhile, retiring General Abizaid, also critical of President Bush’s escalation plan (and speculated to be retiring simply because the President doesn’t listen to him anymore), will likely be replaced by Navy Admiral William J Fallon, who has little experience with land operations, the chief responsibility of CENTCOM. this is the most well written and thought out perspective on explaining what the Democrats do best. The Democrats in their zeal to “BLAME BUSH” are causing the deaths of our troopsby refusing to admit that we need MORE not LESS troos in Iraq!!!!! That is WHY they have NO PLAN or SOLUTIONS to FIGHT THE WAR IN IRAQ!!!!
January 6th, 2007 at 5:52 pmNancy Pelosi leads the pack to continue the murdering of innocent unborn children. Pray for our country!
Besides her being right out in front of murdering unborn children… as if that is not bad enough……. she supports UNIONS on Capitol Hill but turns around in California and hires NON-UNION workers to work in her hotels and winery in Napa Valley…. Can someone say Murderous Hypocrite????

Oj, what a fuzz- storm in a glass of water.
January 6th, 2007 at 6:52 pmMarines are Navy, right?
So there: an Admiral.
This is typical Bush think. Let’s put someone in charge of something he knows nothing about. All I can say is God help our mislead troops. During WWII it wasn’t uncommon for Admirals to command ground troops, but they always had Army and Marine General under them to actually carry out the tactical part of an offensive. This Admiral had better use the same strategy of our boys and girls will be walking into a trap.
If the leader has no idea what to do then how can he give affective orders?

Republicans are the Party of the Intelligent people in this Country. The Left Wing Narrow Minded DEMONcrats would rather see Saddam Hussein still in Power in Iraq murdering Tens of Thousands of Iraqi’s…..
Hillary Clinton is nothing more than a Power Hungry Bitch!!!! She will never get Elected to the White House…. Her Negatives are extremely high even among the Left Wing Liberal Communists!!!! The only MORONS I know are ALL memebers of the Democratic Party!!!!!
January 7th, 2007 at 3:45 amAmerican “peace mom” Cindy Sheehan called for the closure of the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as she and other activists arrived in Cuba on Saturday to draw attention to the nearly 400 terror suspects held at the remote site.
This BITCH needs to be arrested for violating the Embargo by the U. S. Government against travel to the Communist Island of Cuba. This is typical behavior of the Left Wing Liberal Communists!!!!
Sheehan, 49, of Vacaville, California, became an anti-war activist known as the “peace mom” after losing her 24-year-old son, Casey, in Iraq in April 2004.
She gave her son up after birth and had NO CONTACT with the son she gave birth to and now she is using his death to PROMOTE the Anti-War Left Wing Communit Agenda!!!! The good people of the U. S. are sick of ALL these Un-Patriotic Americans who refuse to support our troops fighting in Iraq!!!!! SHAME ON YOU DEMONCRATS!!!!!!!
Benjamin said group members believed they were exempt from U.S. travel restrictions on Cuba because they were traveling as professional human rights activists who will attend a daylong international conference in the Cuban city of Guantanamo on Wednesday, the eve of their protest.
Here again these Left Wing Liberal Communist think they are ABOVE the LAw or that it doesn’t apply to them… I say — Let the Bitch Cindy Sheehan stay in Cuba and see how long she can survive under the Communist Regime there……
January 7th, 2007 at 4:05 amSorry Greg ,my mistake I meant am moron not an oxyoron!
Could you please write in the English language…. This is a bunch of google double talk or maybe it’s baby talk!!!! You try to figure it out.
January 7th, 2007 at 4:08 amSorry Greg ,my mistake, I meant a moron [you] not an oxymoron! Happy now?
January 7th, 2007 at 8:50 amConcerned Sunni,
Thank you for inserting a little sanity into the conversation. The point you make supports part of mine.
Bush is in a pickle politically he has to handle what intelligence justifies or rather explains part of the issue in Iraq. The Demoncrats and the Press I should think are smart enough to see what is going on. To them just like destruction of America as we know it. If the Middle East is in turmoil then so much the better as far as their concerned.
You I am sure know that one of the biggest problems with Iraq is quite simply Iran and their Secret Army “Hezbollah” have been sabotaging peace efforts in Iraq for quite some time. You I’m sure are aware of Al-Queda’s position on Hezbollah. So you see the irony of what the news media reports and actual reality.
Goes back to what I have previously said Americans are dumbed down have no logical ability, no common sense that should work like a radar and sense the B.S. (deceitful lies) Unless the truth forwards the cause of the Demoncrats it will not be permitted. A good Sunni knows of the one who calls himself the master of the airways, prince if lies, and darkness. For a while there I thought maybe that might be sweet little sheepish Dan Rather. Now I’m thinking just media in general.
January 7th, 2007 at 2:41 pmYeah Greg Nevins
Man I can feel your pain! You try to talk nice to these brainwashed morons but they are so far lost and there is a veritable ocean of them on forums like this. You end up getting frustrated and they act like you are irrational. It is like being a trout swimming upstream against thousands of stupid trout who have been convinced to just go with the flow. You try to talk sense to them and they just resist and to the detriment of the whole species.
January 7th, 2007 at 2:42 pmIsrael has already drawn up plans to bomb nuclear enrichment sites in Iran. Just as I said 2 days ago and some nay sayers, mostly Left Wing Liberal Cowards, who WILL NEVER FIGHT FOR ANYTHING said it would be impossible for Israel to do this. The Isarelis did it in Iraq years ago with the precision of slicing cheese with a knife. The Israelis will do it again in Iran before they get any nuclear bombs to destroy the State of Israel. Myabe this is what is needed to get all the insugents out of Iraq and send them back to Iran! WATCH ISRAEL DO THE IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
January 7th, 2007 at 2:50 pmYou try to talk nice to these brainwashed morons but they are so far lost and there is a veritable ocean of them on forums like this.
Joe, your one of the very FEW people on this blog with any common sense and intelligence. I do get very frustrated trying to point out just how bad these morons have been brainwashed by the Left Wing Liberals that control ALL of the Media today. The Universities are filled with these Left Wing Communist Professsors!!!! It is an uphill battle when they have been brainwashed for so long. They just repeat what they heard from some Left Wing Liberal bobble head on TV or quote so stupid Left Wing web site. All they do is complain and blame George Bush for everything but NEVER offer any Solutions to the problems. Any damn idiot can sit there and critisize someone else but lets hear some new ideas how we are going to solve the problems. They know absolutley zero about economics or political history. It’s nice to have at least one other intelligent person here.
January 7th, 2007 at 3:04 pmI still say the Japanese waqrlords, when confronted in an honest, frank manner over their lack of judgement and the foolish way they were percieved, knew the honorable thing to do. I implore you Mr. President, please let us remeber you as an honorable man. You know what you should do, sir. Hollywood will revere you for the move. Throngs will lineup outside theatres making any film since Gone With the Wind seem small in comparison. Mr. President, you have neatly found yourself in the proverbial coprner. Now, all that’s left is to stay the course and do the deed. You must be the “Decider”. Good luck to you Mr. President. The sooner you follow through on the mission I am suggesting, the better for the world…and your family and future Bush generations.
January 7th, 2007 at 5:42 pmTUCSON, Ariz. – National Guard troops at an observation post near the Mexico border were forced to flee a group of armed people, who later ran into Mexico, authorities said.
The troops, who are not allowed to apprehend illegal border crossers, withdrew safely and no one was injured, said National Guard Sgt. Edward Balaban.
U.S. Border Patrol officials are investigating the 11 p.m. Wednesday incident and trying to determine who the armed people were and why they approached the post near Sasabe, in the desert corridor between Nogales and Lukeville. Balaban said the troops didn’t know how many people were involved because it was so dark.
That area has been the busiest in the Tucson Sector for marijuana seizures. Agents have seized 124,000 pounds of marijuana there since Oct. 1, said Rob Daniels, spokesman for the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector.
“We don’t know if this was a matter of somebody coming up accidentally on the individuals, coming up intentionally on the individuals, or some sort of a diversion,†Daniels said.
Since arriving in mid-June, the Guard has assisted the Border Patrol by manning control rooms, repairing roads, fences and vehicles, and spotting and reporting illegal border crossings to the Border Patrol. President Bush said last spring he would have up to 6,000 National Guard troops deployed to assist the Border Patrol.
January 7th, 2007 at 5:53 pmUnfortunately there Dub, you foolish, sick man, you have painted yourself into the corner from which there is no escape and the legacy you are so terribly concerned with is tarnished beyond repair. There remains one, only one, honorable thing to do. You know what that move is. You must be “The Decider” sir. You will need to stay the course once the decision is reached. It will be liberating and yes, a despot will be removed from the world. Your memory will be of heroic proportions such as Hollywood has never witnessed. You will be a genuine, dyed in the wool, American hero. God bless you Mr. President. And stay the course by all means!!
January 7th, 2007 at 5:56 pmMr. President, please let us remember you as an honorable man. You know what you should do, sir.
The President is doing exactly what he was Elected to do — Defend this Country from the Islamists Terrorists that are Hell bent on Killing as many Americans as they possibly can. The President is fighting the War on Terror and he will NOT give up until the job is done. Thank God, there is a Republican in the White House. If there was a DEMONcrat in the White House like John Kerry, he would have CUT & RUN like the COWARDS that all Demoncrats are. John Kerry NEVER earned any of the medals he received in Vietnam — He got a Purple Heart for shooting himself in the leg!!!!!! He is UNFIT TO COMMAND ANYTHING……
January 7th, 2007 at 6:00 pmRemove the jackass in the whitehouse for inability and support the troops with real support…bring them home!! Why the hell should we do for the Iraqis what they won’t do for themselves? To hell with them!!
January 7th, 2007 at 6:06 pmRemove the jackass in the whitehouse for inability and support the troops with real support…bring them home!!
The only Jackasses are ALL of the Left Wing Liberal Communists that want to SURRENDER to the TERRORISTS in the Middle East and bring our Brave Soldiers fighting for Freedom in Iraq!!!! I say to Hell with you Communist Democratic COWARDS!!!!! Renorver, if you don’t like the way our President is Fighting the War on Terror — Move to IRAN or CUBA!!!!!!
January 7th, 2007 at 7:02 pmHmmm. just found this site…..interesting….Greg nevins sounds like my father. Exactly. I was wondering if he has the same interests as he? 24 a day….8 sleeping….1 driving around….and the other16 sitting on the couch watching FOX NEWS, GUNSMOKE and BONANZA.????
I am not a liberal. HOWEVER, I find it hypocritical and lacking any logic whatsoever to say that we need to protect Israel and back Israel forever…they have done shit for us unless you count attacking USS liberty and helping to destroy our moral compass…how we must protect and cherish life…and then go on to say lets Nuke Iran back to stonage….lets nuke this one and that one. That is really retarded. I will tell you another thing about the terrorists in the Middleast and terrorists any where else for that matter….our policies created them. Our actions and inactions created them. Our incessant meddling in other countries affairs for centuries has created them. And one man’s terrorist is another man’s freeodm fighter so before you parrot more sean hannity and fred barnes i suggest you go do an investigation. Go to the middleast and visit with people who have israel tanks running over their cars for humor and shooting holes in the water tanks on bets. im not even getting into the killing of palestinians and lebanese by the israelis…just their idea of shits and giggles….and many of the us servicemen in iraq and afgh….are no different. we just loves to make enemies and then we appear to be shocked when then slap us…
January 7th, 2007 at 7:57 pmsee ya
If you had a mind left after watching the continuous mind nymbing crap you spout, then I would be very worried about our country. Fortunately there seem to be some relatively sane people here…discounting you of course. People who believe in the rights our constitution seeks to protect. Liberty to disagree with foolish politics by our leaders. And the responsible position of trying to determine what we see as “right”. You would have us follow blindly…never dude, not in my lifetime.
January 7th, 2007 at 10:08 pmyour neo-Nazi positions are offensive to all Americans and downright disloyal to the troops you wave like your own personal flag. They are human beings and most tend to fall on the thinking side of most issues. Come to the light Greg…
January 7th, 2007 at 10:16 pmI am not a liberal. HOWEVER, I find it hypocritical and lacking any logic whatsoever to say that we need to protect Israel and back Israel forever…
Calista is a prime example of the Brain Washed Morons that are part of the BLAME AMERICA FIRST BRIGADE!!!!! She seems to have Selective Amnesia and has forgotten that the U. S. was ATTACKED on 9/11.
I will tell you another thing about the terrorists in the Middle East and terrorists any where else for that matter….our policies created them.
This statement has to be the most absurd statement I have ever read. It only shows the lack of intelligence of this person and just how much she have been Brain Washed by the Left Wing Liberal Media. Our policy to support the State of Israel???? This person is an absolute MORON!!!! The Israelis don’t go around strapping bombs on and killing Innocent woman and children in Israel — They are Palestinian Terrorists… Saddam Hussein was paying the families of Homicide Bombers in Israel $25.000.00. The Blood of all those innocent people are on your hands!!!!!
we just loves to make enemies and then we appear to be shocked when then slap us…
We are attacked by Middle East Islamist Terrorists and they killed over 3,000 innocent Americans and when we try to defend ourselves we are making enemies…. This person is evidently severely RETARDED and/or Mentally Challenged. Please throw away the CRACK and stay off of this BLOG — you don’t have a clue about what your talking about.
January 8th, 2007 at 3:50 amPeople who believe in the rights our constitution seeks to protect. Liberty to disagree with foolish politics by our leaders. And the responsible position of trying to determine what we see as “rightâ€. You would have us follow blindly…never dude, not in my lifetime.
Renorover, Is there some sort of intelligent tought in your message???? You seem to ramble on like all of the Left Wing Liberal Communists. All you do is “BLAME BUSH” for everything and HATE AMERICA!!!! George Bush was elected in 2004 to be the Commander-in-Chief by the voters in Amercia…. Lets allow him to fight the War on Terror… I am still waiting for ANY IDEAS from the Democrats to WIN the war in Iraq…. Oh, that’s right — they DON’T have any!!!! Please go back to watching CNN (Communist News Network).
January 8th, 2007 at 4:23 amThey are human beings and most tend to fall on the thinking side of most issues. Come to the light Greg…
Our troops are fighting in Iraq for Freedom and Democracy!!!! When the going gets tough, all you Democratic COWARDS want to Cut and Run like a Bunch of Girlie Men!!!! Now you know why the American Voters REJECTED JOHN KERRY in 2004 and will once again REJECT the Democrats in 2008!!! It is the Party of “NO NEW IDEAS” and all they want to do is TAX & SPEND!!!!
January 8th, 2007 at 4:29 amHold onto your wallets because the Democrats in Congress are ready to RAISE YOUR TAXES BIG TIME!!!! This will cause a Recession in 2007…. So you can thank the Democrats for the coming Recession!!!!!
IS anyone else getting bored by the ass-inine ravings of the above repetitiously boring individal?I for one will desist from aknowledging any further of his mindless drivel and hope you others stop feeding his ego by responding to his ranting.Maybe if he gets ignored for long enough he will stop feeling any satisfaction from his self masturbating nonsense.

Huh?
January 8th, 2007 at 9:29 amOur troops are fighting in Iraq for Freedom and Democracy!!!!
Yes calista, I know that is HARD for your pea sized brian to comprehend. I think you and renorover MUST be twins… because you both sound Mentally Challenged!!!!!! Keep posting so we can ALL see your total stupidity and complete lack of understanding of what’s happening in Iraq and the World…
January 8th, 2007 at 3:02 pmMaybe if he gets ignored for long enough he will stop feeling any satisfaction from his self masturbating nonsense.
crassus, I believe that is your problem and the explanation why your a brain washed Left Wing Liberal Communist — your masturbating way too much… Try reading a good book or find your local library and see what it looks like inside. You need to stop listening to all of those Liberal news media that have turned your brain into liquid form……
January 8th, 2007 at 3:06 pmDo you know how many nukes they produced while Clinton was in office? Zero. All of the nuclear weapons that the North Koreans have now were produced while someone named Bush was living in the White House. The IAEA was allowed to inspect North Korea’s nuclear facilities from 1992 to 2003. There were no nukes produced by them during Clinton’s eight years in office.
This is the BIGGEST LIE that has been posted on this Blog!!! The North Koreans produced ALL of the nuclear bombs that they have during the Slick Willy Administration…. He never verified that they stopped their nuclear enrichment. Clinton was too busy gettin BJ in the Oval Office from that intern named Monica Lewinsky. Just goes to prove he was INCOMPETENT to be the Commander-in-Chief and he had LOUSY taste in woman…..

Keep posting so we can ALL see your total stupidity and complete lack of understanding of what’s happening in Iraq and the World…
well there was a prior post i wrote before my “huh” and it didnt seem to make it thru….anyways….i learned about your type of argument and logic my first year in college..its typical of someone without an argument that has legs to stand on…but thats ok. its amusing to say the least. but freedom and democracy huh? for who? i dont know your background but i think i have more middleast knowledge in my pinky than you do in all your intellect. but thats besides the point. freedom and democracy….i still dont know what you are talking about…show me one incidence of either since 2003?
January 8th, 2007 at 6:33 pmoh and greg….you still didnt tell me what 911 has to do supporting Israel, nuking iran and the inane antics of the dubya administration in the ME?
January 8th, 2007 at 6:36 pm3000 dead…20,000 wounded for God knows what reason (and don’t hand me the freedom and independence nonsense in view of the presidents disdain for OUR constitution) and still you see fit, somehow, to compare the blowjob unfavorably to Bush. Tell me Greg, where in the world did you study? It didn’t take, you need another vaccination in your war on ignorance!!
January 8th, 2007 at 7:53 pmloooooooooooooooooooooooool BRIAN……..MONKEY-BOY: no he said you have a pea-sized brian….are you naming the baby brian?
January 8th, 2007 at 8:24 pmdid you have any sibs that actually lived?
347 was meant for Nevins, of course
Dear renorover, Do these childish comments ADD anything to the discussion about the War in Iraq or the War on Terror? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!They are just further proof that Left Wing Democrats are narrow minded and petty Communist. It seems you have that disease called “SELECTIVE AMNESIA”. Our Country was attacked on 9/11 by Middle East Terrorists. We had the right to DEFEND ourselves and Congress gave President Bush the AUTHORITY to invade Iraq. STOP BLAMING GEORGE BUSH for everything that happens that you don’t like. Lets see some Solutions for these problems…. The Problem is that all of you Left Wing Liberal Communist EXPECT the GOVERNMENT to do everything for you including wiping your dirty ass…….
January 8th, 2007 at 8:32 pmahhh Nevins, you really are full of yourself tonight, eh? Confused still, I see, but constant. Keep moving towards the light, perhaps you too will become enlightenend…in the meantime, really …. consider that extra vaccination…have a great night Greg
January 8th, 2007 at 8:41 pmyou dopnt always have to remain sociopathicGreg…just a little thought generated once in a great while and you will probably see the light more clear as you come along. Good night Greg, I have to contemplate the idea of a woman for President in 2008.
January 8th, 2007 at 8:43 pmCalista, you need to stop listening to all of those Liberal News Media programs i.e. CNN (Communists News Network) that have turned your BRAIN into liquid form……
We SUPPORT ISRAEL because they are an Ally of the U. S. We have them armed to the teeth so they can DEFEND themselves against ALL of their neighbors (MUSLIMS) that want to wipe them off of the face of the earth. I suggest that you get a dictionary and look up the word “ALLY”. That is if you are able to read yet.
Israel is going to nuke the nuclear enrichment sites in Iran as a Pre-Emptive Strike because the Leader of Iraq has publicly stated that he wants to Destroy the State of Israel. As a matter if fact, Israel has the plans of the sites that they are going to nuke…. just like they nuked the nuclear sites in Iraq when Saddam Hussein tried to develop them to destroy Israel.
The great people of America Elected George Bush to be our Commander-in-Chief in 2000 and 2004 and he is leading the War on Terror and has kept our Country from any further attacks. It’s Left Wing Liberal Communst like you that “BLAME BUSH” for everything. GET OUT OF MY FACE!!!!!!!
January 8th, 2007 at 8:43 pmexcuse the misspelled words…I just get too damned excited contemplating a woman taking the reins in 2008. God knows, she can do no worse, in any stretch of the imagination, than oour current C-IN-C. How does Hillary grab you Greg? Learn to live with it my friend …. a lot of men are warming up to the idea
January 8th, 2007 at 8:47 pmDear renorover, It is now clear to everyone on this Blog that you are Mentally Challenged and cannot say anything intelligent due to your small BRAIN and narrow mind. Your the prime example of all the SHEEP that follow all of the Left Wing Liberal Communists in this Country. Some day a light will go off in your little head and then you might see the errors of your ways… Try to think for yourself once instead of repeating all of the Left Wing “BLAME AMERICA FIRST” and “HATE BUSH” Idiots…….
January 8th, 2007 at 8:48 pmyou seem stuck on little Greg….little head….pea size brain…is this a Freudian thing with you? It seems Oedipal to me, but i could be wrong of course.
January 8th, 2007 at 9:03 pmYou never cease to astonish, amaze, and amuse me Greg….thanks dude. Now go look up the next commandment from thy father, George the Dubya…”The Decider“
as for the light going off, I see most of yours are already off Greg. I have to go play with the adults now, see you tomorrow, maybe, if mom says I can play with you again…RenoRoveR
January 8th, 2007 at 9:06 pmDear renorover, I hate to BURST your BUBBLE so soon but Hillary, the Power Hungry Bitch WILL NOT BECOME Preisdent of this Country as long as I shall live. Her negatives are extremely HIGH even among her Left Wing Liberal Communist Party Members. The next Presiden of the U. S. will be the Ex-Governor of MA., Republican George Romney…. Learn to say President Romney numb nuts!!!!!!
January 8th, 2007 at 9:09 pmI have to go play with the adults now, see you tomorrow, maybe, if mom says I can play with you again
This is typical of the Left Wing Liberal Communist… they have to take marching orders from someone Older and Wiser… they are unable to make decisions for themselves and just repeat like parrot what they are told to say and believe. I feel so sorry for this guy…. he needs a lot of professional help ASAP!!!!!
January 8th, 2007 at 9:13 pmif not Hillary, then perhaps someone else…but a woman for certain Greg….goodnight my friend
January 8th, 2007 at 9:13 pmI am his mother mister Nevins. He is a 12 year old boy that enjoys baiting you nice republican gentlemen … but you know he wouldn’t do that if he didn’t find it so easy to match wits with you. I do apologize for his immature behavior Mr. Nevins and I hope to hold him in check now. You musn’t encourage him so….
January 8th, 2007 at 9:18 pmDear Mrs. Renorover, if your smart you will help your son get a good education and teach him to RESPECT the Elected Leader of our Country. That would be President George W. Bush. You should also instill in him a LOVE FOR HIS COUNTRY and to SUPPORT OUR BRAVE TROOPS fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq so that we are NOT fighting those TERROSISTS here in our Country… With the right education and guidance from his Mother, your son will grow up to be a GOOD REPUBLICAN and a successful MAN….
P.S. This country is NOT ready to Elect a woman to be the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces and as such a MAN will be elected in 2008, and he will be the Republican Candidate. Please try to explain this to your son.
January 8th, 2007 at 9:29 pmwell now I see why he was playing with you….he was right when he told me to come in and read your posts….I will allow him to continue to play with you….but remember now, don’t be disapppointed when he cdontinues to be smarter than you…good night sir..and maybe you should investigate the vaccination my son spoke of–you seem in dire need of it
January 8th, 2007 at 10:05 pmI will allow him to continue to play with you….but remember now, don’t be disapppointed when he cdontinues to be smarter than you.
Now I understand why your son is so Mentally Challenged. He has a mother who is most likely a Left Wing Liberal Dim Wit… Like Mother like Son. You really should put your son to bed so he doesn’t contiune to make a FOOL of himself with his MORONIC messages in this Blog. They lack on thread of intelligence or clear thinking on his part. GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!
January 8th, 2007 at 10:17 pmSigh…well greg, you lost my interest in debating with you. The only moronic writing i see is yours. You shall thus be renamed to SIR GREG AD-HOMINEM of red herring corner….cheers
January 9th, 2007 at 3:22 pmps. if you dont like that u can just call your gregaliban……because your views about women are as about repulsive as the reputation the taliban’s views have.
closet muslim lol
You shall thus be renamed to SIR GREG
Thank you Calista, at least you have come to realize that I am so much smarter and intelligent than any Left Wing Liberal Communists could ever hope to be….. I shall now go by my new name….. Sir Gregory
