41 percent.

41 percent.

Number of Utahns who support President Bush’s handling of the Iraq war, “marking the first time a [Salt Lake] Tribune poll has found fewer than half of Utahns in the president’s war camp.” Nationally, just 23 percent of the American public support Bush’s handling of the war.

  2. Upside00 says:

A McCain/LIEberman ticket couldn’t even carry Utah. What a freakin’ joke!

  3. hil says:

yeah there is a short list of places I will never ever visit… Utah ranks at number 2… just after south VA and before Mogadishu

  4. trueblue says:

    2 things:

1: GWB is set to give us his great new Iraq plan Wednesday @ 9:00pm. (Good thing “Lost” is not currently on, or I’d be pissed.)

2: Utah? Isn’t that like the only place that Mitt Romney will make a good showing?
(Don’t bet that he’ll carry MA. We’re glad to be rid of him.)

  5. ForTruth says:

Utah, Kansas, Texas, and Alabama should form thier own country and leave us out of it.

  6. trueblue says:

    For Truth,

    What about Kentucky?
    Tennessee?

I say we include them as well.
    :)

  7. Zooey says:

    Truth,

Thanks for leaving Idaho off the list…really.

  8. GSD says:

Mitt Romney is running for president of Utah. Hail to the creep.

Hell, I say we just give it to him.

  10. ForTruth says:

Sure, lets add Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Idaho isn’t a threat, too far away, too cold, not that much people…

#11, how many of their wives are allowed to vote?

Women are allowed to answer questions and vote in Utah? Hmm.

    ForTruth, trueblue et al…

I’ve got a great idea to solve the Palestinian-Israeli crisis (and perhaps lower the level of hostility between Arabs and the American “Christian-Zionist autocratic caliphate”…

…Why not let the Jews (from Israel) move into and settle those bass-ackward so-called “Christian” strongholds you’ve been listing…

…the Jews are probably smarter than most of those inbreds, and could probably make them more economically viable/productive states…

  15. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

Does this mean that 41% of Utahns have joined the army and are serving in Iraq?

  16. JaneESchneider says:

    Dlet, “great minds” etc.

  17. Zooey says:

    big papa,

I can see the bumpersticker now:
It’s A-rab season! No trespassing, please.*

    *This is a joke!

    Good Idea Big Papa.

  19. RUCerious says:

We could probably convince W that he is actually prezident/emperor of the U-Whitey States of Xiana. Fix two problems for the price of 1.
Course he and Mitt would have to have a duel to see who gets to be prez/emperor

What was it you posted about me a few days ago about my comments being “homophobic”?

Taken in the same context, I could say your silly little remark is anti-Mormon, but I won’t.

Is that really how you call somebody from Utah? Strange folk. Although I was there once for business and stayed for a weekend to ski. Didn’t hang out with many “Utahns” much.

  22. Zooey says:

    dlet,

I’m in Idaho, and I’ve never heard the word “Utahn” before.

  23. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

Joe, please try to understand that your comments were homophobic. You can’t say “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” works “just fine” when it is ruining lives and careers. If it was ruining your life, would it be working “just fine”???

And my commets are anti-Mormon. You’re making that up for no good reason.

  24. Republicans Are The Fear And Smear Party says:

I meant that my comments are NOT anti-Mormon. Mormons are AGAINST this war.

I used “the google” and it seems that is what they officially call themselves. Never been to Idaho but one of the vendors that I was working with for a long time was from there. They were really nice people. We got a bag of spuds from them every year. Weird thing is they supplied us with pumice.

  26. Zooey says:

    dlet,

Yep potatoes and pumice, the breakfast of champions. I think there are pumice mines in Southern Idaho. That’s where the potatoes are, too. I’m way up north, which is also the reddest part of Idaho, sadly enough.

  27. dlet says:

    Zooey,
Being in NYC it’s pretty easy to be blue or independant (no color coding yet for them). Though if you eat potatoes and pumice you are strong enough to hold your own. :)

  28. ForTruth says:

You EAT pumice? I thought you rubbed the bottoms of your feet with it.

  29. Zooey says:

    dlet & Truth,

You guys are so damned easy. Heh.

  30. ForTruth says:

Yup easier than a prom date.

  31. RUCerious says:

Isn’t Pumice volcanic, air infused bubbly rock?
Would that mean there at one time was a lot of hot ash in Idaho?

    Yellowstone Park Caldera…..yes indeed.

  33. Gregor Samsa says:

You know the Bush personality cult is endangered when they are a minority even in Utah.

I wonder how many of the trolls who post here live in that state? Funny to think their fellow Utahns disavowing them.

  34. dlet says:

You EAT pumice? I thought you rubbed the bottoms of your feet with it.
    Comment by ForTruth

    Yes, then you eat it.

  35. RUCerious says:

dlet, now that’s gross, even for Utahanians.

  36. dlet says:

    Comment by RUCerious

Sure, but for Utahns it’s okay.

  37. ForTruth says:

    Ok dlet,

I got it, eat the pumice after rubbing feet. Ok, I write it on my hand…

  38. dlet says:

    ForTruth,
Just a slide into sophmoric humor. I got it out of my system for the day.
