Former SD Governor Janklow resigned his seat in the House of Representatives only because he was convicted of manslaughter and was about to be imprisoned. Now out of prison, he works as a lobbyist like so many other Repug scoundrels.
You can spin this all you like, it is a fatal accident caused by a Republican that occurred this millennium–not some four decades ago like Ted Kennedy’s and Laura Bush’s crash.

Your explanation about double-posting may be valid for a blog like this one. However, sometimes my regular e-mail in-box contains mail that has been double, triple, and even quadruple or more-posted, perhaps because the Send key was hit too hard, or some other reason. If you have a better explanation for that, I would love to hear it, as I am admittedly not a technological whiz.

Usually the reson for the “double posting” could be as simple as double-clicking on the “Post” button, or because you don’t see your article appear instantly so you re-enter the entire thing.

You have to remember that the database in which responses are stored does not always immediately update and show your post. Once you’ve entered your response and pressed “Post”, go have a walk or check out the other articles, THEN come back to see if there were any responses to your post.

Something I love are the people who complain bitterly about how everything is to PC (Politically Correct) nowadays. They forget that PC started with “Oh, you find the word ‘nigger’ offensive? OK, what word do you want me to use instead?”

If you’re completely against everything PC, then you should start using the word ‘nigger’ in your everyday speech. I’m just sayin’. . . . .

I am not enough of a technological whiz to explain how things sometimes get double (or even triple and quadriple)-posted unbeknownst to the sender, just as I’m not sure how my attempt at a message in #242 got posted before I wrote it out. (It could be because the cat sleeping next to the computer stretched out one of her paws without my noticing it.) All I know is that these things sometimes happen, so I will accept that the double-posting here is not intentional. However, I’m sure you must realize you have posted the same message elsewhere on TP, and I am merely suggesting that you reign it in, okay?

As for your question, the answer is the many people, including some at government offices, television stations, newspaper companies, etc,. who have hired me as an interpreter/translator between Japanese and English, and sometimes French–not to mention, those who hired me to fix botched translations done by less competent linguists.
