Republicans don't run the Congress anymore. Who cares what they think? The Dems have the responsibility. The Dems will now decide. The GOP can stick their heads in the toilet, where they tried to put all opposition for the past 12 years. The Gop has a hard time accepting the fact that they are now the powerless ones, they talk and act like they are still in power. As far as I'm concerned, the Dems can tie them up and put them all in the Capital basement. They have failed in the most spectacular manner. Shove socks in their mouths if you have to, Dems, but take control from them NOW and act! If we do not, we will find ourselves part and parcel of a Shia-led genocide of the Sunni in Iraq.

Dear Wanna-be Aphrodite - Your argument, "they just want us to leave", MIGHT make sense if your "argument" had not already failed. After our pullout in 1991, the Saddam-ordered and Sunni "executed" slaughter of the Shiite's unfolded. The primitive tribalism rampant in an otherwise educated society requires a shored up federal system or, failing that, three separate areas of concentrated ethnicities.

Most Iraqi's want us to leave - as soon as a semblance of order is crafted. For the average Iraqi, just wanting to take care of his/her family, I have empathy. For the Koranimals who kill their countrymen and US, I have contempt.

No, paul, we're not worried about that.

What really worries us is that even after we regain control of our country, it will be the work of decades to undo the staggering amount of damage he and his cabal of murderous thugs have caused.

Thanks for your concern, though.

<strong>The US Congress must immediately refocus its attention from the surge to Iran, the real target of Bush administration aggression.</strong>

Is the surge an orchestrated distraction from the real war plan?

A good case can be made that it is. The US Congress and media are focused on President Bush’s proposal for an increase of 20,000 US troops in Iraq, while Israel and its American neoconservative allies prepare an assault on Iran.

Commentators have expressed puzzlement over President Bush’s appointment of a US Navy admiral as commander in charge of the ground wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The appointment makes sense only if the administration’s attention has shifted from the insurgencies to an attack on Iran.

The Bush administration has recently doubled its aircraft carrier forces and air power in the Persian Gulf. According to credible news reports, the Israeli air force has been making practice runs in preparation for an attack on Iran.

Recently, Israeli military and political leaders have described Israeli machinations to manipulate the American public and their representatives into supporting or joining an Israeli assault on Iran.

Two US carrier task forces or strike groups will certainly congest the Persian Gulf. On January 9, a US nuclear sub collided with a Japanese tanker in the Persian Gulf. Two carrier groups will have scant room for maneuver. Their purpose is either to provide the means for a hard hit on Iran or to serve as sitting ducks for a new Pearl Harbor that would rally Americans behind the new war.

Whether our ships are hit by Iran in retaliation to an attack from Israel or suffer an orchestrated attack by Israel that is blamed on the Iranians, there are certainly far more US naval forces in the Persian Gulf than prudence demands.

Bush’s proposed surge appears to have no real military purpose. The US military opposes it as militarily pointless and as damaging to the US Army and Marine Corps. The surge can only be accomplished by keeping troops deployed after the arrival of their replacements. Moreover, the increase in numbers that can be achieved in this way are far short of the numbers required to put down the insurgency and civil war.

<strong>The only purpose of the surge is to distract Congress while plans are implemented to widen the war.</strong>

<em>Dear Blue Pup - I would call the Battle of Fallujah a combat offensive after Koranimals hung, burned and mutilated Americans.- mighty aphrodite </em>

Hey you imaginary jewish lawyer marine dentist proctologist, how many Iraqi civilians have been burned and mutilated by americans in the past 4 years? Let me guess, thats ok as long as they didnt get hung up afterwards? Or because saddam was a bad man, who started invading countries other than the ones we told him to...?

Fallujah is the perfect of example of overblown american machismo and the reason even your hero dumbya is no longer willing to say we are winning in iraq.

The Iraqis in Fallujah killed 4 Blackwater MERCENARIES, very likely doing ASSASINATIONS of the local populace. And in response we leveled the town. Yes, definitely winning the hearts and minds there...

What was the supposed story? They were randomly driving through fallujah protecting a food truck? Where are the dead truck drivers then? Why were the only casualities mercenaries?

Why, because in all likelyhood they were doing a hit job on someone in the area. So the locals killed them, and strung them up. Good riddance. I clapped when I saw them hanging from the bridge. Blackwater is a group of warmongering bloodrenched murderous hitman scum who follow no rules, have no honor, and obey no laws, and anyone who disposes of these sorts of dirtwads in the most unpleasant way imaginable has my wholehearted applause.

http://rwor.org/a/1236/blackwater.htm

(harldly an impartial website but their assertions about the events of that day DO pan out)

And how did we respond to the killing of 4 of our grossly overpaid illegal hitmen? We tried to level the town, gave the insurgents Alamo-esque propoganda victory, and killed probably hundreds of innocents in response.

Its called "disproportionate force" and its reason # 52 why IRaq will never be what we want it to be. That, and the people we liberated arent any better than the people we liberated them from. Its just two different gangs, and we just switched sides in mid stride. Bad move, because now the gang we just helped is wanting us out so they can building alliances with the gang next door we dont like. I mean, if we leave, we will be appeasing... the sunnis.. uhm.. I mean the shias.. uhm.. I mean Iran.... are we appeasing all those people or just the 5 percent of the armed folks over there who are foreigners?

You can't face facts aphromite, that the vast majority of people taking shots at americans in iraq are nationalists, who have no wider political asperations to attack americans. If you say I'm wrong, quote someone other than dick cheney. Every intelligence estimate of the amount of foreign jihadis in iraq puts thier percentage in the single digits. If you were born an iraqi you would call people who didnt fight invaders "traitors", but since you're too myopic to see the world through someone else's eyes, you call them all "terrorists" instead, when in fact most of them just want us to leave.

IRaq is smashed. Trying to put it back into something we find appealing has all the promise of trying to dig up Jon Benet Ramsey and give her her hymen back.

Its called “disproportionate force” and its reason # 52 why IRaq will never be what we want it to be. That, and the people we liberated arent any better than the people we liberated them from. Its just two different gangs, and we just switched sides in mid stride. Bad move, because now the gang we just helped is wanting us out so they can building alliances with the gang next door we dont like. I mean, if we leave, we will be appeasing… the sunnis.. uhm.. I mean the shias.. uhm.. I mean Iran…. are we appeasing all those people or just the 5 percent of the armed folks over there who are foreigners?

You can’t face facts aphromite, that the vast majority of people taking shots at americans in iraq are nationalists, who have no wider political asperations to attack americans. If you say I’m wrong, quote someone other than dick cheney. Every intelligence estimate of the amount of foreign jihadis in iraq puts thier percentage in the single digits. If you were born an iraqi you would call people who didnt fight invaders “traitors”, but since you’re too myopic to see the world through someone else’s eyes, you call them all “terrorists” instead, when in fact most of them just want us to leave.

IRaq is smashed. Trying to put it back into something we find appealing has all the promise of trying to dig up Jon Benet Ramsey and give her her hymen back.

(Q): A deadly snake and a Muslim are both approaching you rapidly, you are a dead shot, you have a gun, but only one bullet, which one do you shoot ?
(A): The MUSLIM of course !! The snake only bites when provoke. We know the Muslim’s intention.

I don’t personally have anything against Muslims.
In fact, I think everyone should own one or two !!

Q: What do female Muslims use for birth control?
A: Their faces.

Q: What’s the difference between a Muslim and a dead horse?
A. It’s no fun beating a dead horse.

Q. What’s the difference between an American BBQ and an Islamic BBQ?
A. In America, Humans roast animals over a fire. In Islam, it’s the other way around.

Q. What do you say to a Muslim with his arm all the way up a camel’s rump?
A. “Having car trouble?”

Q. What’s the difference between Cindy Sheehan and a terrorist enemy?
A. I don’t know either.

Q. What’s the difference between Michael Moore and a one ton CARE package?
A. Michael Moore, if sliced real thin, can feed a larger Afghan village.

Q: What’s the definition of a virgin in the Middle East?
A: Any camel that can run faster than an Muslim.
