The war machine doesnt stop. The sad thing is that Lockheed Martin and Northrop´s CEOs must think by now that all those weapons are for national defense.

  3. ForTruth says:

    Juan,

They need to go back to calling themselves the dept. of war.

  4. dorothy says:

What will he threaten them with? We have no available troops left. It must be the nukes.

  5. Kevin says:

I hope the new congress will back him up.

  6. Peter says:

I hope the new congress will back him up against a wall and then impeach his a$$.

  7. Dr Benway says:

To which Iran responds: “Yeah, you and what army?”

Thanks George for putting us in the situation where our army, like everything else in this country, is stretched to the breaking point. If not already broken.

  8. Yikes says:

“I hope the new congress will back him up.”

    The delusional never sleep.

  9. Tuber says:

Hmmm, what can we say to Iran? Can’t tell them to keep their “religion” out of their politics since we raised the bar on that one to high hell. Can’t lecture them on humanitarian issues since we actually rate BEHIND them on the global scale. And, of course, can’t call them on their nuclear power ambitions since, well, we are the only crazy mothereffers to ever use a nuclear device as a tool of murder/destruction.

I know what the problem is, they are different. And brown. That’s it! Either they stop being so different and so, uh, brown or we’re going to have to kill them. Yup, that’s sound foreign policy.

  10. Peter says:

On what neocon fantasy planet does Shi’ite Iran support Sunni attacks on Americans and their client Shi’ite SCIRI and Da’wa parties (which formed and trained in Iran)?

Hell, the only Iraqi Shi’a to openly fight us even in the past was al-Sadr, and he’s an Iraqi nationalist opposed to excessive Iranian influence.

    I call shenannigans.

  11. IraqVet says:

    Sure, call for more violence!!!

Nevermind tha the military is stretched thin and that many people (especially the ones commenting here WHO ARE SUPPORTERS OF HIS POLICY) are COWARDS!!!

Nevermind the fact that he has not even attempted dimplomacy and developing a political solution to this issue

Nevermind that HE (BUSH) is a COWARD AND IDIOT is a failure at almost everything he does, except for theft, drinking, and murder…

So, am I surprised??? Not really, because ONLY an IDIOT would stay in a fight that they cannot win, hoping for an outcome that will never materialize!

And ONLY fools would follow him and think that he has a chance of winning. Like a cult they are a misguided band of dumb a**es that are brainwashed by an ideology of secular values, no matter how many lives are lost by the useless beliefs!

  12. the fly-man says:

Let’s see the new commander in Iraq is a Navy guy and the straits of Hormuz are our biggest concern and we don’t have enough ground forces to defeat the Shite insurgency so hmmmm, Why don’t we bomb Iran, yeah that’s the ticket. Let’s think like Sherman and Patton, split the Shia right down the border with Iraq, Syria won’t do sqwat and the Saudi’s are happy. Seems like a plan that would give the decider his own battle for his Bulge. It ain’t over yet folks. Let’s hope I’m waaaaay wrong.

  13. AshenShard says:

If Bush should be making any warnings, it is against Chavez in Venezuela who is attacking democracy in that country by attempting to get legislation passed that would grant him more executive authority … oh wait …

  14. nanlichi says:

I too hope the new congress will back him up.

Back him up to the wall, cavity search him and throw his evil ass in jail for high crimes against our country. Impeach, Eviscerate, Cremate and move on.

12% of Americans support this rotten pathetic loser.

And they are proud of their minority ststus, after all, the early Xians were persecuted and in the minority weren’t they?

    Stupid little Bush defenders.

  15. splooty pops says:

Is it not shear madness to use nukes on a country and then state we used them cause we dont want you to have them ???? complete madness there is no use for these weapons lets get rid of them

  16. Wayne A. Schneider says:

When the day comes for him to annouce that we’re attacking Iran (I have a hard time thinking of this as an “if”), I wonder if he’ll give the same message to the Iranian people that he did to the Iraqi people before we invaded them: “Do not destroy the oil fields.” (And people still think that oil had nothing to do withour invading Iraq. Ha!)

Rachel b…. I know you are being sarcastic, but sometimes it’s hard to tell. There are some really stupid trolls who post things like your cockroach comment did but are serious.

I know, it’s hard to believe that anyone could be that pathetic, but they do exist.

And bomb the UN. Just to make themselves clear. Ups…that already happened in Lebanon, right, Israel???

  21. nineteen84 says:

While the country is focused on Iraq, the bushies are planning their attack on Iran:

    http://counterpunch.com/roberts01102007.html

We now have two carrier groups in the gulf. Iran has Russian missiles which are capable of destroying one or both of those aircraft carriers. This will be the Pearl Harbor that the neocons want in order to widen the war.

Bush is deliberately putting our navy at risk for the sake of oil, Israel and imperialism.

  23. RealityCheck says:

The purpose for the “surge” has always been to protect the Green Zone from the highly likely Shite uprising in Iraq when we attack Iran.

But Bush couldn’t say that. So he just got rid of anyone in the military that disagreed with the surge, put in command someone who knows about naval and air warfare, and he and Israel are all set.

All they need now are armchairs and popcorn, just like when we bombed Baghdad. Maybe Israel won’t have to participate after all, so it can maintain its helpless victim status, with its 200+ nukes.

Bus knows you and I can’t stop him and he knows the Congress won’t.

But then what he doesn’t know is that this is going to bring on a consensus for impeachment so strong and so powerful that it will make his head spin like Linda Blair’s in “The Exorcist.”

  24. tom baker says:

Once again, Dubbie’s helping the cause of his own impeachment more than he is the cause of freedom or security – couldn’t be happier – rant, you little punk, rant like the psychomoneytard you are, and let your henchmen repeat it all for you – it just gets us that much closer to the proceedings.

  25. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    Lets get something straight .
George Bush is your president .
    He warns you .
You do not warn him of anything .

  28. David Fox says:

If I’m Iran, and he tells me this, how do you think I will react. Hmmm, guess I’m going to support more attacks on American troops in Iraq.

    Comment by rachel b

Wow! If that isn’t evidence that our friend rachel b is just another Right Wing Authoritarian Follower, I don’t know what is.

You need to learn to think for yourself, rachel b, and don’t believe everything your government tells you. Especially this president and his administration. They have lied to you many, many times and will continue to lie to you many, many more times. For example, the generals supposedly agreed to go along woth this because the president promised them money for other things. Well, don’t you believe it. George W. Bush long ago lost any right he might have thought he had to be trusted.

    Now, let’s get something straight.
George W. Bush is the president.
    He works for you.
You have the right to tell him anything you want.

  30. Tuber says:

    #30-rachel,

Welcome to the United States of America where the president works for the PEOPLE, and not the other way around.

I’m sorry that your parents didn’t tell you this before they shipped you over here but I’m sure they were anxious to get rid of you and didn’t want to tell you anything that might change your mind.

  31. Xenon says:

  32. RUCerious says:

    Lets get something straight .
George Bush is our pathetic excuse for a president .
    He disgusts you .
His narccisim prevents him from being warned of anything .

    Like this. Not this .
Back to your syntax and grammar studies, now shoo.

  33. Kahoneez says:

    A. Bush and U.S. imperialism needs to STAY out of other countrie’s BUSINESS, including Venezuela. I’m getting sick and tired of this hypocritical thuggish country, invading, murdering and trying to dictate to other leaders what they sHOULD be doing.
We have a GANGSTER presidency profiting from war, by giving contracts to cronies to “rebuild”what this criminal has BOMBED!
Bush needs to be backed up alright, into a COURT ROOM, and brought up on WAR CRIMES.

  34. Ranger Jay says:

As if this debacle isn’t enough, Dubya has to threaten others to make himself feel like a man.

    What an idiot.

  35. Styve says:

You can bet Barbara threw W in the deep end without water-wings long before he knew how to swim!! That is where he got his sadistic side.

Bush probably wants an increase in the casualties, to add heft to his claim to being a “war president”. Very sick man!!

    Investigate, Impeach, Indict, Imprison!!

  36. Prantha Trivedi says:

All Bush’s naval armada in the Mediterranean Sea is meant to do is:

    1. take out the Iranian Oil Bourse on the small Iranian “free-trade” Island of Kish. (They are accepting Euros instead of dollars – thus weakening the dollar.)

    2. take out a few oil wells in which Halliburton (of the Cayman Islands; not a US corporation, for that would be a violation of US law) does not have an investment.

This is part of PNAC, and I am sure that it will bring Iran to its knees. “It’s another slam dunk!” Iran will not fire back to protect itself.

Bush, Cheney, Exxon/Mobil, Chevron/Standard Oil, Shell, BP and Halliburton are brilliant international business strategists; aren’t they? Their business interests are not paying a plug nickel for this fight for market share in the global oil marketplace.

    Wait, wait!

Bush and Cheney have jobs in which they represent the PEOPLE, don’t they? Isn’t it a CONFLICT OF INTEREST to be a war profiteer in such case? Isn’t it a breach of fiduciary duty to THE PEOPLE?

[...]a stark new warning to Iran against what the administration says are its efforts to promote violent attacks in Iraq against American targets

Well, if Pres Bush agreed to withdraw the troops there wouldn’t be any American targets in Iraq, would there?

Withdraw the troops and end this pointless occupation.

  40. Koalablue says:

“Mr. Bush will also use the speech to warn the Iraqi government that the American commitment to the country “is not open-ended,”

When about 80% of Iraq want the US to leave already, That sure is some warning!

  41. Styve says:

Is that a promise, or a threat, Baby-Bush?!

  42. JTitor says:

This has been 6 weeks since I originally posted this prediction. I have posted it 5 times, and will continue to post it as things progress. This prediction is not in a prophetic or in a religous sense, but from a good understanding of world affairs and a greater undserstanding of natural progression and the occult. Once people start realizing that this escalation has nothing to do with oil, religion, terroism, or our troops, but instead is to destablize the region as apart of a plan to mold the world to something that you may not like, will you start to understand. And it’s going to happen.

The Military and the Iraq Commission will deliver a recommendation that 20,000 additional troops be deployed to Iraq as the Bush administration wanted. This new deployment will not be deployed to hot spots in Iraq, but will mass on the Iraqi/Iran border. A false flag operation will coincide just prior too, or during the deployment phase of this operation.

This false flag operation will be a nuclear/dirty bomb on Israeli soil that will be detonated between Hebron/Bethlehem and Jerusalem. It will be determined that Syria and Iran instigated the attack. The Temple of the Mount will be destroyed, then Israel will attack Iran and Syria, and the United States will attack Iran, concurrently. Because of the middle-east crises, oil production will cease, causing the worlds economies to collapse in a domino effect.

Once Syria and Iran have been fully engaged, China will see this as a direct threat, and enter the war. Russia will stay out of the conflict for a time.

Marshall Law will be leveled on the United States and dissenters will be processed into FEMA camps. People will try and leave the cities, but will be turned back in armed conflicts. The “American Federal Empire” (AFE) will be established, which will encompass the whole North American continent. Venezuela’s government will be over thrown during this process and it’s oil reserves will be used for the war effort. A new currency will take the place of our present currency, and it will be called the Amero-System. This new currency will be paperless, and eventually, due to fraud the AFE will move to chip implants.

    The rest will come later.
