But the truth is that the system does not care about the fact that you can vote or express yourself as you want, actually they need you to have the feeling that nothing can be better, so they can tell you: "what else do you want? you have democracy and freedom of expression already!!". That is not a problem for them as long they can control the mass media channels and they invade them with lots of lies so that you think what they want you to think, so that you support their intentions and wills. This is the war in Iraq. A big bunch of lies with which the media has collaborated with spreading them. The media has collaborated with the White House and the Pentagon in the strategy to avoid that it happens what happened during the War of Vietnam. There are three main things the White House and the Pentagon have worked specially on: to avoid that your son or daughter can go there to die, that is, avoiding drawing lots, the very unpopular thing that makes a society become tired of a war very fast, so that it is happening now that most of the soldiers now in Iraq are poor people and immigrants, together with a small bunch of volunteers sons of some politicians that never get into combat. The second thing the have worked on is in hiding to the American citizens the terribly huge number of victims caused by this war among the Iraqi people, so that the American citizen does not have the chance to think "How is it possible that we are killing 660.000 people, causing a very probably triple or bigger number or wounded and disabled people, destroying the whole country, just to bring them our ( of course fake) democracy?", this would make the people think at least: "This is not how we should spread the democracy in the World". And the third thing the White House and the Pentagon have worked with help of the mass media is in telling you: "Support your troops or if not then you are not a patriot". They try to avoid what happened in the Vietnam War. They try to confuse the people telling you that you must shut up, that you must not complain or raise doubts about the reasons of the attack to Iraq, that if you do it then that means you do not support the US troops, that then you are not a good American. It is a real evil way of manipulation. You may love your country, and you may not agree with a war just because you love your country and you don't want your young kid be killed there for a bunch of lies. The system is so that the truth does not matter, what matters it is only the appearance. The fact is that in the end there is no weapons of mass destruction, there is no links between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein, that the Pentagon and Mr. Cheney helped Sadam to bomb the Kurds, and that is why with so much rush they had Sadam be killed charged with killing Shiites, before it could be a proposal for charging him for the killings of the Kurds, to come out then the White House and trying to make us believe that it was an act of the government of Iraq itself, a puppet government to which Bush and Condoleezza several times had threaten that if it does not do what the Pentagon and the White House expect from it to do then another alternatives for a government in Iraq may be taken in account, that is, a puppet government that everything they do is monitored by the White House. By the way in the next weeks the government of Iraq is working on a legislation that will allow the American companies to tap the oil resources of the country. The prestigious magazine Lancet that suggests that the US misadventure in Iraq is responsible for setting off the killing of twice as many civilians as Saddam managed to polish off in 25 years, A careful Johns Hopkins study http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2006-10-10-iraq-dead_x.htm has estimated that between 420,000 and 790,000 Iraqis have died as a result of war and political violence since the beginning of the US invasion in March, 2003. The only measure that they thought of was having the UN reporting that in last year 34,000 people died in Iraq. So the people think of this figure and not of the previous one. That is why North Korea and Iran are so much looking for such weapons. This "Chicken Hawk" who was AWOL from his unit in time of war must be removed, Along with his Administration! Congress should start Impeachment proceedings ASAP. This great country of ours was never intended to be run by a Dictator. And by putting himself in the position of Flagrantly ingnoring our Constitution and Bill of Rights, He has by his own actions made himself the most dangerous person in the world. We must remember he has his finger on the nuclear button and will not hesitate to use it. A million person march on Washington while he is at the White House may shake him up, But will not stop him. One way or another He, Cheney, Rice et al must go.
