Contradicting Bush, Cheney Claims ‘We Have In Fact Made Enormous Progress’ In Iraq
For years, President Bush and Vice President Cheney have asserted that “absolutely, we’re winning” in Iraq. Bush put an end to such happy talk last Wednesday night, omitting suggestions that we’re “winning” or making “progress,” and instead stating:
The violence in Iraq [over the last year] — particularly in Baghdad — overwhelmed the political gains the Iraqis had made. … And the result was a vicious cycle of sectarian violence that continues today. The situation in Iraq is unacceptable to the American people — and it is unacceptable to me.
Vice President Cheney does not appear to share the same assessment of the situation in Iraq as Bush. On Fox News this morning, Cheney claimed, “If you look at what’s transpired in Iraq, Chris, we’ve made enormous progress.” Watch it:

The FoxSnooze meat-puppets are at it again. They brought Dick the Prick out of hiding in his "undisclosed location" to give us the good news about Iraq. Clearly, the vice-presidunce is drinking again because he is hallucinating big time.
Next weekend, they will host Condoleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezza who will be freshly back from her latest Middle East "listening tour" to tell us how great things are. That'll give them all a chance to whine about Barbara Boxer again, too, I suppose.
After making a big stink about something that Boxer never said about Condoleeeeeeeeeeeeezza, perhaps the brave fair and balanced journalists at FoxSnooze will ask her about troop loss estimates that she was unwilling or unable to provide in response to Boxer's actual question. Naw. Won't happen.
