Obama/Muslim smear spreads.

Media Matters tracks today’s right-wing talking point.

  1. hellinabucket says:

rachel, he may not get elected but it won’t be because of his name. That’s a sad ignorant view.

  2. MrTimPA says:

    Obama
    Osama

He will never get elected with a name like that.
    Just an observation.

    Comment by rachel kinnardi

And this is intelligent discourse? (as per your “list” on the previous thread) – very funny. My 10 year old niece could do a better job than that.

Shouldn’t the trolls be crawling back under their bridge by now?

It’s a shame that the right-wing is swift-boating this guy so soon – it’s clear that they are scared of him.

  3. AshenShard says:

fortunately, the average American is not stupid like the Republicans and their ilk would like to think. They can tell the difference between the names, even if they have a one letter difference.
They are also not going to wet themselves every time Islam or Muslim is mentioned.

  4. hellinabucket says:

Obama won’t sit for this. The man is very proud of who he is and won’t allow others to attempt and paint a different image of him. This could be the total exposure of the swiftboaters for who they are.

For Clinton’s camp to research Obama is only prudent. They will most likely be running against each other in the primaries. But to slander with no facts. That’s a republican hack job. It’s similar to what Rove did to McCain during the primaries for 2000. And then there’s Fox, so eager to spread dispariging remarks instead of reporting news.

  5. VerbalKint says:

This has Rove’s dirty fingerprints all over it. But Rove has lost his touch. His big election strategy was to cling to the party base, and it failed badly. But he is still trying to cling to the base with this tactic. The GOP can’t win without independent voters, who are already turning against the GOP in large numbers (apparently McCain is tanking badly among independents). This sick name game will probably work with the double-digit IQ koolaid drinkers, but I bet it backfires with everyone else.

  6. beefeater says:

I just can’t see the GOP’s hand in this stuff. I think they would love to see Him get the nomination. Why do I feel a Clinton job here?

  7. hellinabucket says:

It’s a different twist on a tired old theme. Obama has too much energy and not enough bagage to be Rovinated.

Rachel, it is an opinion and there will be additional traction on this. It’s my opinion that it will fail and republicans will continue to look worse because of these petty attacks while ignoring the issues of the day. Such like the ones that Obama brings to the floor. Not to mention the first 100 hours promise was completed in 87 hours. No Gay Marriage or abortion rights were brought up. Only sensible issues. Not the wedge issues that were the dominant play of republicans. They can’t get spending bills together but have no problem rushing for Terry Schiavo. Just my opinion.

  8. trueblue says:

rachel always tries to suck up with a different last name, then goes nutso on us.

    I don’t get it.

    Then again, I’m sane.

  9. ForTruth says:

    Unfortuneatly,

Rachel may be right. We have too many dense-ass people who just can’t accept a non-christian, non-white name as the President.

  10. katy says:

Why do I feel a Clinton job here?
    Comment by beefeater — January 19, 2007 @ 10:59 pm

you don’t – but you were told to think that…

  11. hellinabucket says:

is it true rachel? are you a troll?

  12. Barfly says:

Put words in your own mouth please, not mine.

    Thank you.

    Comment by rachel kinnardi

    Oh? Words like these?

Look for me to be your grandchilds President.

Both George Herbert Walker Bush and George Walker Bush told my father and I that very thing.

    The legacy continues.
    With me.

You really should be more friendly, you are talking to a future President of the United States.

The Bushs said to my father and I that they would personally help me and see to it I was elected President in about 25 years. The Bushs do not lie.

I will pick up exactly wher George Bush Sr. and George Walker Bush left off.

I know and have met quite a few PNAC members also.
    Kristol is a real hoot!

You folks should give Kristol more credit that you do.
You and he are alike in so many ways.
We all are. Just go with the flow.

Please tell me how to do that superscript thing…
    (ie the TM)

    Thanks.

  14. Yellowbird says:

    Obama.

Who cares. WE will NEVER EVER SUPPORT HIM FOR PRESIDENT.

He is a Republican straw man.

Right after the word “List”, type a space, then put “TM” inside of parentheses.

The List (put just the letters “TM” in here)

    The List (TM)

  18. VerbalKint says:

I don’t think Obama is a real threat yet to take the nomination. Too young, too new on the money raising circuit. My bet is that he is angling for exposure, and maybe the Vice Presidency. Obama in 2016 sounds right.

If Obama loses for a wrong reason it won’t be his name, it will be his skin color.

  19. trueblue says:

    Yellowbird,

    Scooby-Doo moment just then…..

    “Rrraaaahh?”

What in the world does that mean?

  20. hellinabucket says:

A what? Republican strawman? And Hillary is Dorthy with Kerry as the Tin Man. Let me guess Dean’s the lion ( the roar won’t die). But then who is the wicked witch? Elizabeth Dole? Maybe. Bush in drag has potential. The flying monkeys have to be Fox news. Does this mean if we throw water at them we’ll stop the signing statements?

  21. Barfly says:

Put words in your own mouth please, not mine.

    Thank you.

    Comment by rachel kinnardi

No, your words are toxic enough, Rachael:

    Comment by Yellowbird

Wow. I didn’t know an actual person could be a strawman.

  23. Zooey says:

Oy Barfly, I could have done without the reminder…

  24. VerbalKint says:

It may well be that GOP operatives are trying to drive a wedge between Hillary and Obama, to set off an internecine battle between them.

  25. Barfly says:

Let me know when the trolls leave here so the discussion can continue.

    Thank you.

    Comment by rachel kinnardi

As I said the other night, you’re not running anyone off, Rachael.

  26. Barfly says:

    Sorry Zooey.

But after the past week, she doesn’t get a free pass.

I’ll refrain, and just laugh at her arguments.

  27. trueblue says:

  29. Nat says:

The Republicans will link Osama and Obama in any TV spots they can find on name recognition alone and skin color.

Now imagine 87 year old Gladys seeing a TV spot like that.

Her first thought? And the fact she cannot see so well or hear anymore?

    Obama? Isnt he that terrorist?

This is what the Republicans will be pushing and it has already started.

I am glad you read so much into one small post.
    Comment by rachel kinnardi — January 19, 2007 @ 10:55 pm

No American including Obama would expect anything less from the GOP but these scare tactics are not as effective as they used to be.

  30. katy says:

it’s bad enough those troll remarks were there the first time…
    knock it off… quit picking a fight…

  31. Barfly says:

    Comment by katy —

    Those were her words, Katy.

Some things shouldn’t be ignored. TP might refuse to do anything, but some comments cannot be unsaid, and put one outside the bounds of reasonable discourse.

  36. trueblue says:

    Barfly,

You are probably correct. I guess I never thought of it because I was never one of those exclusionary cheerleader types; but now that you mentioned it, it sounds about right.

Shoot! Now I feel bad for the troll.

  37. ForTruth says:

    Clinton – BLOW JOB
    Bush – BLOWN JOB

    See how fun it is?

  39. VerbalKint says:

I am surprised that I made the list. Sometimes I come down hard on the trolls, name-calling and all, but I don’t remember tangling with them much this past week. I am guessing that I must have had a fracas with rachel earlier, when she/he/it was posting under a different name.

  40. katy says:

Right-wing media figures claim Clinton behind Obama/Muslim smears

Summary: Melanie Morgan, Lee Rodgers, Rush Limbaugh, and John Gibson all forwarded the accusation made by a website controlled by Rev. Sun Myung Moon that Sen. Hillary Clinton was responsible for spreading information linking Sen. Barack Obama to a madrassa, or Muslim school. None of the four cited any evidence, other than the article, that Clinton was responsible for promoting the madrassa story, and the article cited no one by name.

and, has anyone seen the email going around?
be sure to send this out to debunk:

  41. trueblue says:

    Spudge,
Of course you were on the list!
Didn’t you see your name posted?

    BTW:
    It was a collaberation.
I’d like to thank all the people who helped me, but if I did the trolls would haunt you as well so I won’t!

  42. Barfly says:

    ForTruth,

    Fight the good fight.

This is our pad, and respect for the other posters is paramount. Anyone who violates our space with such cankerous rhetoric should have her words hung ’round her neck, to alert other posters to the species of bottom-feeder they’re dealing with.

  43. Marie says:

Repugs are making a two-fer on the swiftboating of Barack Obama — they are smearing him with unfounded innuendoes, and claiming it all came from a Hillary Clinton source.

  45. Barfly says:

Wow. I think I beat Media Matters to it:

The only “misinformed” people here are apparently the readers of this site

When wingnut feel like sharing, it is.

Rob, it reads like a gossip column; no-one’s on record, not even the author! It’s a hit piece on both Clinton and Obama, from a notoriously unreliable, and biased source.

    This is your “proof?”

No applause necessary. (no, really, I mean it)

Not so uninformed if I beat MM to it, I guess!

  46. Briseadh na Faire says:

I am going with the GOP here. They want to stem the huge popularity of both of them and the best way to do it is character asassinate Obama, forcing Hilary to take a second pick who is not near as popular.

Then they would be able to single out Hilary as the next vitim unfettered.

Rove has his smelly fingers all over this one.

    Comment by rachel kinnardi — January 19, 2007 @ 11:11 pm

    >

astute analysis. very close. but the real machieavellian tactic here is to smear Obama and make it look like Hillary did it. That takes down two Democratic candidates in one shot. That’s Rove’s style.

Right now we only have enough information to speculate.

Obama must be seen as a likely successful candidate in ‘08 for this kind of smear campaign to begin so early in the race. If he survives this, it will be because the true source of the smear will become known, thus discredited and knocked out of the race.

Every viscious tactic in the book, and maybe a few new ones besides are going to be thrown at this guy, from all sides. I will be surprised if he survives. I get the feeling that the money behind the Democratic Party won’t back him.

He’d make an interesting 3rd Party choice…with Kucinich.

  47. Granola Hippy says:

Why doesn’t Obama go on CNN and say “Oh, uhhh, I’m not a Muslim.”. My question is…why the f*** doesn’t he do it!?

  48. Zooey says:

Actually, Barfly, I beat both of you re the Moonie Times. :-)

Actually, if you read the article, you will see that it is the Hillary Clinton camp that is supposedly pushing this story.

  50. Krazny says:

Funny I don’t think I have ever addressed one of Racheals post, mainly because I have never thougth it worth the effort. Yet I am on the “list”. Fine by me.

Obama represents a threat to the republicans, and they know it. He will come out well, and Fox will look even more like idiots.

  51. jurassicpork says:

You think these right wing idiots are confusing him with Keith Ellison? After all, to these mouthbreathers, they all look alike.

Who. Is. Flashman? And why is George W. Bush reading him? Mo Do tells us.

  52. Barfly says:

You’re right, Zooey. You were first. But I first pointed out that there wasn’t a byline, or named sources. And that it was highly unlikely that anyone from the Clinton camp would talk off-the-record with a conservative outlet, considering the emnity between the two.

  53. ForTruth says:

It is crappy that BNF’s posts get the smackdown so much. Jeez.

  61. Jay Randal says:

Don’t they realize by deleting posts, they draw even more attention to the deleted material?

  73. Jay Randal says:

Sorry rachel dear, but assassinate is spelled correctly with ass at the beginning. Look up words before you accuse others of spelling incorrectly.

  74. JTitor says:

    Anti-First Amendment S.1 Passes Congress

    By Kurt Nimmo | January 19, 2007

It was bad enough George Bush Senior found it necessary to blame bloggers for creating what he deems an “adversarial and ugly climate” (never mind his particular bit of ugliness in Iraq more than a decade ago, eventually resulting in the murder of more than a million people), last month we had the Manchurian candidate, John McCain, introducing legislation “that would fine blogs up to $300,000 for offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards, effectively nixing the open exchange of ideas on the Internet, providing a lethal injection for unrestrained opinion, and acting as the latest attack tool to chill freedom of speech on the world wide web.

Zooey > just asking since you are on here. rachel could be Santo and that troll would say one day it’s male, then female, so a mental patient or someone who should be one anyways. I find it strange to post the same thing on every thread, and announce a list of people to ignore, then converses with them?

  94. Jay Randal says:

So JTitor you are saying the Democrats passed McCain’s anti-blog bill?

  95. VerbalKint says:

  97. Zooey says:

    Jay,

That’s not Santo. Santo’s first language was not English, and Santo was the queen of the one-line non sequitor. She always called me Kapo — don’t know why. Posting the same thing on each thread is pretty damned annoying.

  98. Jay Randal says:

Well Zooey at times Santo posted differently, so the whole thing of being a Latino could have been an act. Maybe this troll is paid to be crazy on TP threads, because it does change the subject and makes the thread look stupid for everybody.

This story is a Clinton smear. Sice this is a Pro-Clinton site, of course they won’t blame her. Hiallary s behindd this. Of course you think Bush is the center of the universe so you think it’s him.
You suffer from BDS(Bush Derangement Syndrome)!

  101. Jay Randal says:

Bob lol > well you must suffer from “Defend Bush no matter what crap he does syndrome.” Hillary is NOT behind the smear of Obama, because doing that would piss off the entire Congressional Black Caucus membership who she needs to get nominated for president. Karl Rove is behind the smear because he wants Hillary and Barack to fight each other.

122 – While I’m NOT an attorney, and this legislation and the LDA is a lot of reading. My first reading and others so far is:

Section 220. Disclosure of Paid Efforts to Stimulate Grassroots Lobbying. S. 1 would amend the definition of “lobbying activities” in the LDA (2 U.S.C. 1602) to include paid efforts to stimulate grassroots lobbying but to not include grassroots lobbying. The legislation provides definitions for “grassroots lobbying,” “paid efforts to stimulate grassroots lobbying,” “paid attempt to influence the general public or segments thereof,” and “grassroots lobbying firm.” The legislation also identifies who is considered a member of a registrant entity. (See legislation for definitions.)

My understanding for instance, blogs that take donations or parent companies of blogs that take donations that are political in nature and influence the general public may be considered a “grassroots lobbying firm.” So, if you can prove that a particular blog is a “grassroots lobbying firm”, then the individual content “blogs” are the “statement or representation”, thus liable under the LDA and False Statements Accountability Act of 1996.

LDA and False Statements Accountability Act of 1996
The False Statements Accountability Act of 1996, amending 18 U.S.C. § 1001, makes it a crime knowingly and willfully (1) to falsify, conceal or cover up a material fact by trick, scheme or device; (2) to make any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or (3) to make or use any false writing or document knowing it to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry; with respect to matters within the jurisdiction of the legislative, executive, or judicial branch. The False Statements Accountability Act does not assign any responsibilities to the Clerk and Secretary.

The vast majority of Americans (over 50%) and the rest of the world said “no” to war in Iraq EVEN WITH THE STRONG SUSPICION THAT THEY HAD WMD’S and that’s saying something huge.

If given the fact that the WMD theory was totally fabricated and cherry picked, the numbers would have been overwhelmingly negative about occupying another country for no reason.

So, when you speak of the man who will probably become our next President or Vice President, please do so with the clear distinction that he empitomizes the absolute ANTITHESIS of one who bears a name similar to his.

  118. veritas says:

#143 – Dear Senator Ted Stevens (of the Bridge to Nowhere Fame?)
I find your post (if, in fact, it is really you) quite beguiling to say the least. It’s so large of you to “forgive the mishap this time” – as though the posters here at TP are so lowly and you so mighty that you will look down long enough to “forgive them”. How self-righteous can you be? It’s certainly not up to you to forgive anyone about anything; in fact, the reverse is more accurate….the taxpayers who provide your salary might find it in their heart to someday forgive your buffoonery in sponsoring the bridge to nowhere????

. The last time I looked this country still exercised the right of free speech so I take particular umbrage with your chastisement of anyone for anything said or done. Are you that guilty yourself (*or paranoid perhaps) that you would take the comment of a poster on a blog thread as a personal attack?

Surely the decades you’ve spent in the corrupt world of politics has thickened your skin adequately to wish to remain in office where bridges to nowhere are bundled into bills to provide critical aid to Katrina victims????

Surely you’ve participated in pork barrel spending – initiating bills for your lobbyist friends? Your voting record speaks volumes for itself. And yet you find the comment of a poster on a blog to be intimidating or otherwise off color? Isn’t this a bit out of sequence – you forgiving another american when you’re the one in office and held responsible for your actions as a public servant who takes a paycheck directly from the pockets of the taxpayers?

I suspect that you’ve been around the block a bit too long, Sir Stevens, and your note bespeaks of one who seems to be able to “dish it out” but “can’t take it himself”. That’s when one knows it’s time to throw in the proverbial political towel. From what I’ve witnessed of your voting record & political chicanery, your retirement from public office is long overdue.

BTW, no one is forcing you to come to TP to read or post a comment. The way I see it at least there’s one shred of “civil rights” still alive in this country of ours in the form of freedom of speech (no thanks to your party I must admit).

And while we’re on the topic of how your “hard earned dollars are funding this site”, perhaps you need to be reminded that your paycheck is paid by “our hard earned dollars” and you have failed in your job abysmally. Yes, it is our “hard earned dollars” which you’d like to fund a bridge to nowhere, to continue to fund a failed war in Iraq, and all of the other lobbyist-sponsored nonsense which you’ve supported. It is time you thought about not only your “hard earned dollars” but ours as well.

We, the taxpayers, pay your salary and you serve AT OUR pleasure. When you no longer serve the majority of the people, then you will be voted out of office. Continue to propose nonsensical, wasteful legislation and your time will come sooner than later.

Brown: Party politics played role in Katrina response
    POSTED: 1:56 a.m. EST, January 20, 2007
NEW YORK (AP) — Party politics played a role in decisions over whether to take federal control of Louisiana and other areas affected by Hurricane Katrina, former FEMA director Michael Brown said Friday.

Some in the White House suggested only Louisiana should be federalized because it was run by a Democrat, Gov. Kathleen Blanco, Brown told a group of graduate students at a lecture on politics and emergency management at Metropolitan College of New York.

Brown said he had recommended to President Bush that all 90,000 square miles along the Gulf Coast affected by the hurricane be federalized, making the federal government in charge of all agencies responding to the disaster.

“Unbeknownst to me, certain people in the White House were thinking we had to federalize Louisiana because she’s a white, female Democratic governor and we have a chance to rub her nose in it,” he said.

Brown declined to say who in the White House had argued for only taking control of Louisiana, but said that he’d later learned of the situation through Blanco’s office and from other officials on the federal level.

Blanco reacted sharply on hearing what Brown had said.

“This is exactly what we were living but could not bring ourselves to believe. Karl Rove was playing politics while our people were dying,” Blanco said through a spokeswoman, referring to President Bush’s top political strategist. “The federal effort was delayed, and now the public knows why. It’s disgusting.”

Eryn Witcher, a White House spokeswoman, denied Brown’s claims.

“It is unfortunate that Mike Brown is still hurling false statements about the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina,” she said. “The only consideration made by the administration at the time of this tragedy and since are those in the best interests of the citizens of the Gulf region.” …

i also wondered about that timing, jay randal…

  160. Jay Randal says:

It’s strange katy, but politics in DC is nasty with Rove and Bush there.

  161. Fools on the Hill says:

As Hillary and Bush call for escalation of Bush wars, Bush wanting more troops in Iraq and Hillary wanting more troops in Afghanistan, Hillary says forget about the troops, look at me, I’m running to be the next global corporate elitist puppet, that will work hard for the have mores.

  162. Juan C says:

Hey, it’s -1 C here and we have several more inches of snow. How is it there? :)

I dont envy you. I once applied for a 1 year program in Sweden. I was accepted but didnt finish my Bachelor´s final project. Good thing…I wouldnt have been able to withstand so much cold.

    Thanks, katy. I hope so.

Here in Mexico the basic food is the corn. Tortillas are made with corn. Tortillas are like bread, you eat almost everything with them. Well, the government just raised the price of the kilogram of tortillas to a dollar (more or less). Lets say that the minimum wage here is 4 dollars a DAY, 30% of mexicans survive with 2 dollars a day. So yo can imagine how that raise affects million of mexicans…and nobody does nothing. Mexicans are such a noble or stupid people, I dont know. There should be a national strike, like in France, everybody on the streets to let the government know that the people is in charge, not those f*ckers with fancy suits and expensive cars.

  163. Badger says:

The times they are a changin. Independent voters have become disillusioned with Bush and Rove. And it will be most difficult for Rove to reillusion them. Look at McCains low numbers in New Hampshire. Once you loose the TRUST of the American people, you’ve lost it all. The 2008 election is the Democrats to lose.

  164. TripMaster Monkey says:

    Juan C:

Whatever happened down there with the presidential election? Last I heard, Calderon had basically stolen the election, using tactics eerily similar to the tactics used here in the States in 2000 and 2004, and Obrador had vowed to continue his resistance to what he maintained was an illegal government.

We don’t get much in the way of actual news any more in the States…can you fill us in?

  165. Zooey says:

    Juan,

That’s disgusting. Was there a shortage? Or the government just raised the price because they could.

No wonder you’re in a bad mood.

  166. Randy Nason says:

Frankly, I’m going to move, act and see as I feel it. I am way past “appealing” to the weakest link or least common denominator. I don’t care if the candidate is butt ugly and named Winni the Pooh. If he/she says what I like hearing, I’m going to vote for the guy/gal. So, wise up, right-wingers. You’ve lost credability and forfeited the race already by crying wolf, lying through your teeth and pledging allegiance to your miserable selves. Who do you have to offer anyway? John McCain? Don’t Rove, Cheney and Bush have enough kiss prints on thier sorry asses, already?

  167. tom baker says:

Never mind the GOP-Cons predilection for pederasty……..THAT GUY HAS A FUNNY NAME!!

Typical wingnut playground BS – does anyone notice it’s ALL THEY EVER DO??? IT’s all they have done since the Ray-gun campaign, and they’re sick enough people to think that it’s perfectly acceptable (when they do it, but not anyone else)

Let’s start it here and now…..who’s the GOP want to run? Doesn’t matter. I have heard from credible sources that that candidate is a pill-addled booze hound who prefers pre-pubescent girls, has had 5 marriages fail, was a coke dealer in college, and has had numerous homosexual encounters with a number of Middle Eastern nationals in D.C. sex clubs.

  168. Randy Nason says:

Hey, Tom- Is Howard Stern going to run on the Republican ticket? I hate the Republicans, but I’d vote for Howard. Talk about “getting back to basics”.

Do you read spanish, Trip? If you do, watch regularly this magazine.

Ok. Yeah, we all know the elections were stolen. But they were stolen due to the incompetence of the “leftist” party in some degree. After the official outcome it was known that the nearest people to Obrador (leftist candidate) was responsible for inaction or accepting bribes in order to not counting votes or simply not attending to the counting process in 70% of the electoral posts.

Anyway, there was some attempt of protest from the “left” (I put the “”, cuz there is no left in Mexico. It is just a political party that speaks to the people but defends other corporate interests, as usual) in order to recount votes, etc. but in this country where the middle class doesnt care about the lower classes, it faded away. However, now people will realise who they voted for. And hopefully things will change. Now, Calderón is the official president, but he has no real popular support, nobody cares about him. Thats why he is flirting so much with the armed forces, becuz they will be supporting him by means of a more repressive policy.

    Comment by Zooey

I personally dont eat tortillas, but I know that is the basic diet for millions of people, sadly.

The government says there is a shortage, thats why we have to import corn, which is a bad quality corn, etc. The thing is that the government supposes the mexican monopoly of corn: two corporations who decide whats the price. The same old trick of free trade: they tell you private companies will reduce the prices…the corporations have an agreement and they increase the prices…and who pays? The people, as always.

I don’t want Sen Clinton to run for the presidency, but I think she’s a fine woman.

    Just asking.

Sh*t, Im a in a bad mood today: my coffee tastes like vomit

    Comment by hacker bob

It’s just what I’ve seen of her personality. I don’t have to agree with her on everything to think she’s a good person. And just because I think she might be a good person, doesn’t mean I want her for president.

I know her like you know me. And you think I’m a fine woman, don’t you? :)

  173. hacker bob says:

I know her like you know me. And you think I’m a fine woman, don’t you? :)

    Comment by Zooey

    Well…………

Seriously, I think, from what I have seen, that Clinton seems to have the best interests of the country in mind. But what she thinks is best for the country may not be what the rest of the country thinks is best.

I have met Sen. Clinton and she seems to be sincere. But at the same time, she seems to be like every other politician. She will look out for herself first, then the big money that got her into office, and then, if she has time, the rest of us.

Yes, you seem like a fine person, even if you didn’t know about the tortilla shortage in Mexico.

  174. Zooey says:

  176. hacker bob says:

    Juan C,

Even I, the narrow minded Republican knew about the tortilla shortage..

Back to your Kopi Luwak! lol

Zooey, it is not your fault, you are to busy trying to get you an edumacation.

You wouldn’t happen to be 69 years old and a retired judge in Idaho, would you?

    My DAD says that! :-D

  178. Bob says:

People the smear gainst Obama is a Clinton tactic. The Clintons make Rove look like a school boy. Watch more dirt come from the Clinton camp.
Jay Randal who’s a Clinton supporter will blame Bush. His BDS is affecting him!

  179. Lora says:

i think it was LORA, who corrected hintler 3 times now about that post – the character’s name is “Dil”, for one thing, played by Jaye Davidson… the other connotations are relevant only to hintler…
    Comment by katy

Yes, Katy, I already corrected him on this point. But for one who claims to be a Stanford or Ivy League graduate, Jason is an awfully slow learner–not to mention incapable of giving up a stupid, sick joke. Maybe he is jealous that Barack Obama is a true graduate of two Ivy League schools: Columbia and Harvard.
And as I pointed out to Jason MH already, even if Obama had actually appeared in “The Crying Game” under the name Jaye Davidson, that was acting–not reality. How about the reality, Jason, of the frequent visits of gay hooker Jeff Gannon/James Guckert to the White House until his true identity was exposed?

  180. El Tonno says:

#212/Bob: The Clintons make Rove look like a school boy.

Oh puuuleeasssee … what kind of aggravated brain aneurism made you produce such a statement?

Apart from the fact that Rove already looks like a schoolboy. Also, he is employed by schoolyard bullies.

  181. JTitor says:

So far rachel b has taken on the names of:
    rachel kinnardi
    ForTruth
    Texas Young Republicans
    Bob
    hacker bob
Jacqueline Grant (probably posted in the wrong blog by accident)
    rachel b
    rachel b blair
    porcupiny
    Gregor Samsa
    Santo

  182. hacker bob says:

    JTitor,

hacker bob is not rachel. It is robert.

I decided to use it as my moniker after rachel labled me that the other day. that is unless there has been some recent name-jacking. I notice ForTruth is on your list as well. He has been a poster here for a while. Same with Gregor Samsa.

We do not troll like rachel. We actually discuss and debate.

Hope that cleared some of it up.

  183. Gregor Samsa says:

    JTitor,

That I recall, my name was hijacked once. I am not sure it was rachel.

I don’t know about other threads, but all the comments so far in this one on my name I did post them.

    Bob,

    Thanks for the help ;-)

  184. PoliticalCritic says:

They’ll be coming after Obama for the next two years straight. All they have is his name to make fun of.

  185. Bryce says:

Once a muslim always a muslim. Osama, Obama – no differnce. I will laugh when they come to cut off your head you ignorant a$$hole’s. You democrats are really stupid!! You’ll see…..

  186. Lora says:

    To Bryce,
Most Muslims are not radical head-choppers, and Sharia law isn’t practiced in most Muslim countries. Have you heard of any Muslim terrorists hailing, for example, from Turkey, Tunisia, Malaysia or Bangladesh? I didn’t think so.

    To TP Administrator,
I posted something very similar to this earlier, and it seems to have been deleted, though I broke no rules nor used any foul language, in contrast to #201, which remains as it is. Please explain.

  187. IndyTech says:

This report is more likely to be from the same source as the Social Security scam of 1996, the Clinton camp. While it certainly is not beneath the right wing, the history of these types of smears are more cllosely associated with Ms. and Mr. Clinton that any one.

  188. Dummy says:

lets have an IQ test requirement before anyone can vote. This would guarentee a democratic victory because democrats/liberals are so smart and conservatives are so dumb. Not to mention Libs are so smart that they don’t even know that the Clintons are the owns who went after Obama on this. Please push this along with Voter ID cards. Pleeeeeeeeease. Someday you morons may actually do something like that. hahaha.

  189. Dummy says:

The man who shot the pope was from Turkey was he not, and I believe he was going to be released from jail around the time this new pope was going to visit.
