“I don’t think he understands the world,” Mr. Rockefeller said. “I don’t think he’s particularly curious about the world. I don’t think he reads like he says he does.”

Honestly, is there any more damning criticism of the President than this?

Bush would definitely go to war, no matter what we say. We know the American media. They are mouthpiece and proxies for WhiteHouse and the Neocons.
Fox news was one of the biggest proponent of the war against Iraq, after it showed faux pictures of satelite images showing Saddam lab, where chemicals are been mixed for nukes that would be targetted at us. Now, they are doing the same. Misquoting and mistranslating what the President of Iran says....Even BBC sponsored a sick documentary, detailing the urgency and the need to nuke Iran. While the entire truth, about why Iran had to be nuked was nipped in one of Paul Craig most recent article at counterpunch summerized it:

"....Here is the victory scenario: Bush and Cheney will claim that their air attack on Iran succeeded in destroying Iran’s (non-existent) nuclear weapons program. The victory claimed by the Bush Regime and the propagandistic US media will “make America safe from nuclear attack.” This will restore Bush’s popularity and move the US back to a 50-50 political split in time for Karl Rove to steal the 2008 election with the fraudulent electronic voting machines built and programmed by Republican operatives...."

One thing remains undisputable. The current set of democrats sitting in power won't do a thing. They would just snarl around, and howl like helpless puppies all day, while funding continues for a bigger war. And Bush would have his war. Nuke a country that never attacked us, all in the hope of creating a bogus "Relief" for us: Disarming Iran.
I guess in our haste to push out the war gang, we blindly packed in another handful of scumbags like Pelosi and co. I was present in her gala, it was quite pathetic. A gala organized by her sponsors AIPAC and the Neo-CONS while our boys hope and pray in Iraq, that this insanity dies. Now, we have the escalation of madness! A bigger war in Iran that would actually enrage the few moderates left in the entire middle east.
Several petitions and emails are been currently sent to Madame Pelosi office, with most of us yelling at her, calling her the Bigger Traitor. It wouldn't harm to exercise our rights too. You could find her office phone number and emails: http://www.house.gov/pelosi/

I asked, and will ask again:

ARE ANY OF YOU PUTTING YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS?

Do you REALLY want to make a difference, or just complain?

<strong>MARCH ON WASHINGTON</strong>
JANUARY 27TH

If you can't make it to DC, you can still help by donating money, supporting local efforts, and by <strong>SPREADING THE WORD.</strong>

Of course he doesn't read -- anyone who reads more than the sports page and comics couldn't be as stupid as he is. He is not introspective, never questions his reflexes, won't even consider an opposing point of view.
The rhetoric on Iran is strikingly similar to that which we heard in the run up to Iraq -- he must be stopped before he involves us in a war of his choice again, if it means a million people outside the White House demanding he step down.

Why would someone who has never been curious suddenly become curious (start reading a lot), it makes no sense. We know this lack of reading was problem in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq (Bush admitted going with his gut instincts). Could this just be more Whitehouse spin to show that the lead-up to Iran is not a rerun of the lead-up to Iraq.

Somebody needs to give Bush some Tums because his tummy is again rumbling and we know what the outcome can be.

For the love of God, would you people get your facts straight. Bush DOES read. You all have been caught in a terrible lie. The book he was reading on 9/11 was "<strong>THE</strong> Pet Goat, not <strong>MY</strong>Pet Goat.

<em>“I don’t think he understands the world,” Mr. Rockefeller said. “I don’t think he’s particularly curious about the world. I don’t think he reads like he says he does.”</em>

************************************

Rockefeller isn't very quick on the uptake, is he? I should think it would be blatantly obvious to anyone who's been paying attention at all that Bush prefers to "trust his gut" rather than actually gather facts -- which is probably the primary reason why we're in such a fix in Iraq now. As for reading, didn't Bush himself say years ago in an interview on Fox News (natch) that he doesn't read newspapers and only glances at the headlines because he trusts his staff to be more objective than the reporters -- meaning, of course, that he trusts his staff more than he trusts his reporters to tell him what he wants to hear?

Where've you been for the past five-odd years, Jay? On a deserted island?

Plain and simple, George Bush and his cabal rely on deceipt and lies to put forth their agenda.
And so the SOTU address will deceiptfully put your attention exactly where the cabal wants it to be. Away from Iran, the next ill conceived adventure.

These creeps need their wars and chaos to hold up their house of cards. They are in fact the same as Sadaam. But instead of hiding behind oil wealth as Sadaam did, they hide behind their military wealth and use our troops to do their dirty work.

The Democrats need to disassociate themselves from this crazy state of mind and listen to the Senator from Kentucky. They need to stand together and bring the troops home, now. Impeach later.

Mission Accomplished?

<strong>War’s Arab supporters bitter over its results
</strong>Resentment speaks volumes about U.S. standing in the Middle East

<blockquote>"It's a success story for al-Qaeda, a success story for autocratic Arab regimes that made democracy look ugly in their people's eyes. They can say to their people: 'Look at the democracy that the Americans want to bring to you. Democracy is trouble. You may as well forget about what the Americans promise you. They promise you death,' " said Salameh Nematt, a Jordanian analyst and the former Washington bureau chief for the Arabic-language daily newspaper al-Hayat.</blockquote>

This drumbeat sounds like an Iraq <em>redux!</em>Hopefully, the people have learned that difficult, damaging lesson. However, playing bully with Iran is a totally different ball game than playing bully with Iraq and I presume the intelligencia of this country know this.

As for Bush's ability to function in the world of reality vs. fantasy, there's no hope. How can he possibly comprehend a world view when he cannot comprehend his own personal world? Way too much to ask of a man compromised by profound mental disease.

But let's hold all the others who seem to have insight, intelligence, and inside information responsible for any escalation in Iran without the vote of confidence of the people. Let's hold all the "war mongers" who voted "yes on Iraq" accountable and tell them that their respective bids for the highest office in this country will not fly.

Let's make our message clear: those who voted "yes" to give a known misanthrope the unchecked power to overrule our constitution must not receive our vote in 08! That illustrious list includes (but is not limited to) Joe Biden, Joe Lieberman, Flipper McCain, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, John Kerry (and the rest of the Rethugs in Congress!).

Those with foresight, intelligence, and morality who voted "no" were: Dennis Kucinich, Russ Feingold, Barak Obama (although he didn't vote but would have).

08 will be a time for the people to take back their power....and it begins with slapping down those who erred in judgment and abrogated their duty in representing us by voting "yes for Iraq".
It's called "derelection of duty" and congressional abdication...
