“FOX News’s Brian Wilson just informed us that the major color tonight among the lady’s outfits this SOTU is purple (’I'm seeing a lot of purple’). He then stated that Nancy Pelosi will be wearing a ’sea foam green’ outfit. Brit Hume then chimed in to say that Pelosi had intended to wear a different jacket (he asked her about this earlier today), but then spilled chocolate on it, hence the sea-foam green jacket. No news on the fellas’ outfits.”
all that insight.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:24 pmi just read the scroll, on msnbc…
tucker carlson, blogging, said that mccain was slumped in his seat…
not alert…
need more details! … anyone?…
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:25 pmFOX News only cares about Nancy Pelosi’s clothes, but did they notice that Emperor Bush was buck naked? Nope FOX never sees the truth!
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:27 pmI know that Jim Webb cannot run for president now being a new Senator..but the man is smart and articulate…wish him good luck…he looks presidential…and spoke as one.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:28 pmPost 4 Katy > maybe McCain passed away during the speech? I can dream anyways > lol.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:28 pm#4 katy …. McCain was simply hypnotised looking at Cheney…
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:34 pmWhat does it say that Cheney wore a purple tie?
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:36 pmDid you see Bush tell Nancy to get started by hitting the gavel? I thought that a bit patronizing. Never woulda happened with a man in that seat.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:36 pmBrit Hume then chimed in to say that Pelosi had intended to wear a different jacket (he asked her about this earlier today), but then spilled chocolate on it, hence the sea-foam green jacket. No news on the fellas’ outfits.â€
Brit was fair and balanced. Hey straight talk now, accidents happen. Have you never spilled anything on your clothes only minutes from a big event or wedding or graduation?
It happens. No need to blame Brit for it. Why are you always trying to be picking open a scab that does not exist TP?
Are you really that vengeful and spiteful as to attempt to desuade your readers here that somehow Pelosis choice in jacket color has anything to do with, or was Brits fault?
Brit calls them like he sees them and not everyone likes it.
Too bad.
FoxNews-Fair and Balanced-We Report-You Decide
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:39 pmTheir motto couldnt be any fairer or more concise to prove it is their desire to report the truth and the accuracy of the news.
nice bit with Louise Slaughter on cspan..she says shes “absolutley flummoxed” why the president still thinks he has suport for this war.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:40 pmTalk about avoiding the gigantic elephant in the room….
Or some of their latent homosexuality is slipping out…
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:43 pmI just love talking about the ladies’ outfits.
**with a lisp**
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:46 pmPurple is of the highest vibration man.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:47 pmWebb delivered a near-perfect rebuttal.
What a star he will be in the Senate.

No doubt they were wearing ladies undergarments while talking about the outfits :)
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:51 pmWhere’s the Webb thread?
I’m sick of this stupid thread.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:51 pmAlso on MSNBC there was a comment on the bottom of the screen scroll that Nancy Pelosi’s suit cost more than the average American paid for their first house.
Even if it was a legitimate point of discussion (and it isn’t), how much do they think houses cost?
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:53 pmWHOAH, repub caller says she supports Bush because “he’s a believer in jesus christ” & takes the troops to task, “they shouldnt be goin over there thinkin theyre gonna have fun, they should know theyre goin over to protect our freedoms!”
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:54 pmI guess Faux did happen to notice the color of the tie Cheney was wearing. Purple. Yeah, fair and balanced.

I thertanly was.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:56 pmI’ve never heard a straight man not in the design profession say ’sea foam green’. To most men it’s just green.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:56 pmOK, since we are on the topic of fashion right now, Hilary made a very bad hairstyle choice tonight.
Please God, don’t let her go back to headbands!!

Officially, the color was a deep shade of magenta (as in ‘hot pink’) LOL
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:59 pmToo precious.
Webb thread?
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:59 pmWhat in the world is “sea foam green”?
And what is this talk about what the women wear anyway? Is this the E! Channel or a serious…. oh, wait, we are talking about Fox. Never mind.
January 23rd, 2007 at 10:59 pmYay!
Webb thread!
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:00 pm#21, I saw that too and was scratching my head to figure its relevance.
Perhaps, “some” people who are in their 80’s purchased their first house in 1935 and paid $4000 for it. ( My Grampa’s story.)
Aside from that, what the hell was a comment like that being repeated over and over again on the crawl?
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:00 pmHay Judd, post a thread on Webb, Please…..I’m sick of bull shit bush and more of the same crap…Nothing new, same old word’s with only a diffrent sentance structure……Impreach the basterds and let’s get started with more intensety……Demand Impeacheness..Blessings
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:04 pmWouldn’t that be “*Flair* and balanced?!?”

Comment by Gregor Samsa — January 23, 2007 @ 10:59 pm
It’s a pale shade of a bluish gray-green. I’m sure you could google it to get a swatch :)
Was a very popular color for half bathrooms in the 1990s… Now, women’s suits.

Comment by unbelievable — January 23, 2007 @ 11:21 pm
Thanks. I had to use “the google” -it looks green to me.
Women wear it!? It went from the potties to the suits!? Oh, the humanity! It’s the end of civilisation as we know it!!
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:34 pmHow about some fashion comments about Botox Laura ? A friend I was watching the speech with had me rolling everytime Laura was on camera with comments like” They just got her back from a London wax museum” and ” Look at her lipstick ! She looks just like Jack Nicholson did in The Joker !”
My personal fave, though not a fashion statement, was the “Syncronized Drinking” (of water or some clear liquid) by Bush & Cheney–they must have put a lot of practice time into that one.
And lastly, Georgie Boy seems to like sea foam green too, because he appeared to touch Pelosi’s breast when shaking her hand at the end of his speech.
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:39 pmJay> Maybe Jeff Gannon will start wearing sea foam green pants for Georgie :D
January 23rd, 2007 at 11:58 pmWe SHOULD be talking about what the men are wearing, even if it is to say, “All the men wore boring suits in brown, blue or grey as usual.”
I would like to see the men in proper clothing – robes, cloaks, tunics, coats – of the sort men wore in the middle ages and the renaissance.
Then we might see an end to the sexism inherent in discussing the fashion only of the women policitians.
You know, even fat politicians might look better in robes!

And WHY exactly does Fox News apparently consider this information to be of of such vital importance to the American people? How is this even remotely relevant to the direction in which our country is headed?
January 24th, 2007 at 12:58 amHate to break this to you, but the men always wear black suits, so there is NO fashion news, with the possible exception of the scarf Barney Frank may be wearing.

January 24th, 2007 at 10:29 amI couldn’t help thinking that Senator Leiberman must’ve felt jilted, in anticipation of another red hot wet smacker.
January 24th, 2007 at 12:04 pmWhy do these jackasses even bother to wear cloths, at all? Maybe it should be: The Emperor’s New Cloths. -Butt naked, just like American politics SHOULD be. In protest, I’m not going to wear cloths ever again! Well- maybe underwear.
