Question: do you know who is the biggest exporter of oil to the U.S. of A.? Do you know that from the moment there was a recent change in party leadership in the government of that country, numerous private discussions occured between said newly elected leader and President Bush to formulate a plan to raise productivity of this number one exporter up to 5 millions barrels a day? Do you now know what President Bush means by “less dependent on foreign oil”?

(Hint: the country who is the biggest exporter of oil to the U.S. of A. also happens to be the number one trading partner of the U.S. of A.. Have you figured it out, yet?)

Horse puckey. When people decry alternative energy, the first thing they speak of is high cost, low return. Nuclear power plants can’t function without massive public subsidy, they never recoup their construction costs, and they create environmental problems lasting for aeons, which must surely make the Bush administration supportive of them for spite if for no other reason. What we need first is conservation. Then we need to offer the same subsidies to alternative energy programs and development that we currently offer to the coal and oil companies that are killing us for profit.

A long-standing member of the brain trust behind the conservative “revolution”, he along with Paul Weyrich, Richard Vigurie, and WIlliam Simon laid the groundwork for the criminal enterprise that is todays Republican party.
