There is no possible reasonable justification for CNN to “defend” this man. We are a sick society and CNN’s defense of this shit bag is one of many presenting boils.
I know I sound a bit out there. But that’s cause this country is now……more than “a bit” out there. Either we regain our sanity and basic common sense humanity or we spiral into further insanity. Gore’s new book coming out in May is called “The Assault On Reason”……..yup.
oh no… we aren’t a sick society cuz president bush started i
believe the new freedom mental health cure.
unfortunately all the high schoolers who got suckered in
to this TOTALLY corrupted insanity never found out it was
a sell out to big pharma. enough to make everyone **** :)
Isn’t that special? CNN defends the homophobe because his show is “opinion.” I wonder if they would feel the same if he had slurred a woman or a Jewish person or an African American. We know he has already slurred a Muslim.
Where do they draw the line on appropriate language for an “opinion” show host? Beck is a low-life.
Write to Best Buy and to Office Depot and complain as well as CNN. I have.
I’ve written both Best Buy and Office Depot as well Marie.
This sort of crap would have never flown even 10 years ago in the mainstream media. People would have laughed at you if you told them that major media ( now the government run corporate military industrial complex “channels”) outlets such as CNN would have been promoting this sewage. Trouble is that the longer it goes on, the longer younger people coming along think this is “normal.”
CNN is like all the rest of the Cable NONOOZ outlets…….they have to pander to the lower 28%ers, since the upper echelon are watching Stewart, Colbert and Olbermann.
Those trailer-trash folks need somewhere to find someone who talks down to their level.
CNN (blitzer) are nothing more than Hypocrites, the have gone after Jimmy Carter for his accurate book, that includes the word apartheid, describing the horrendous conditions Palestinians under. They willfully ignore ANY reporting of Gaza, (get this)unless it involves Fatah & Hamas
attacking each other, totally censoring casualties by Israeli attacks.
If the bigot and hate monger bEck said anything against JEWS, he’s be gone in 5 minutes.
I love how when people compare that word to “the n-word”, they don’t say “the f-word” (or, I guess “the other f-word” in this case). And in case you’re wondering, comparing it to “the n-word” is a very apropo comparison.
That’s probably my least favorite word in the English language.
CNN sucks and is desperately kissing right wing ass – hiring this turd was their way of saying to the freeper retards, “Hey we can be like Fox News too!” Pathetic.
CNN, fire this ‘ROTTEN’ weiler but give this attack dog a multimillion dollar severage package. How about $500,000,000.
Beck really, really, really deserves to be in the dog house like Home Depot’s, Robert Nardelli. Nardelli was awarded an obscene severance package of $210,000,000.
Beck is: ‘Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad and meaner than a junkyard dog.’ Atlanta-based companies sure have some bad dudes.
I think they all drive CUSTOM CONTINENTALS AND ELDORADOS, TOO. Damn! I thought Leroy Brown, and Robert Nardelli were at the bottom of the barrel. Little did I know!
Beck is making these bad boys look like choir boys. I think the traffic on I-285 has done made people crazy here in Atlanta.
What’s going on in Atlanta? Mercy! Mercy! Mercy! Whitney Houston’s big mansion was auctioned off on the Fulton County Court House steps, and Robert Nardelli raids the Home Depot checking account to the tune of $210,000,000.
The folks who deserve a kick in the ass are getting rich, and the folks who deserve royalty checks are getting booted out of their mansions. Go figure!
Let’s hope Nardelli, and Beck can loan Whitney Houston a little money. “Poor thing.”
‘I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, WHITNEY.’
‘I WILL ALWAYS *********** YOU, NARDELLI.’
‘I WILL ALWAYS *********** YOU, BECK.’
this is America, people have the right to say what’s on their mind, and we don’t shoot the messenger. It’s our Constitution, never mind that George thinks that it’s just a piece of paper.
Well why don’t we start right here. Why doesn’t TP help by not using CNN clips as a protest. I’m sending Jack Cafferty and Am Morning my boycott announcement this morning. Beck is just another Rush Limbaugh who says things so he can keep the focus on himself, world class Stooge.
Call Tony Snow and ask him if he thinks it was just “naughty”. Was Mr. Beck referring to an elected official from the GOP? I’m still confused about Mr. Beck’s contradiction of his principles. If he really believes that homosexuality is a biblical abmoniation than why would he tone down his assualt vernacular and not just come out and fully support the use of his chosen words. Only a Stooge would put himself in such a situation to garner attention only.
It’s not JUST the gays and lesbians insulted by Beck/CNN, it’s all the straight people who know what deceny in American Journalism and not what’s disguised as such : Beck is a mouthpiece for the ignorance in this country.
Glenn Blech is a vile stooge, trying to make Rabid Rush like headlines to further his own ‘career’.
Turn the channel or the set off.
Get a life.
This piece of shit doesn’t deserve to be addressed at all.
i see so minorities should just shut up and take up the tail pipe? what planet are you on? ever actually lived in a place where you were in the minority?
Ever seen this clown try to do humor on his show? It’s pathetic and painful to watch. Couple that with what he said the other day and what he has said in the past about Keith Ellison and its hard to imagine why this moron still has a job.
I find it amusing that on the CNN.com Comment section there is no longer a direct choice for Glenn Beck in the “CNN Shows” section. It was there a few days ago.
Beck called and beeker came
With all his wit to defend his flame
But his half empty mind
Being stuck in his behind
Makes farts and words sound the same
Here’s an interesting contrast. Remember the press about the Grey’s Anatomy actor (I. Washington) who called one of his cast mates a faggot? Well, he’s been apologizing all over the place & has announced he’s entering rehab to deal with his problems. I just found this also: “ABC demanded that he enter a program “to examine why he would say such hateful words,”.
The fact that ABC would hire Beck when the neo-conservative movement is tanking is quite revealing. Television is a business that likes to follow the trend. When one network has a popular show the other networks are usually quick to try and copy it.
Clearly, the far-right news (noise) programs are declining in popularity at an accelerating rate. For ABC to hire a poor copycat (Glenn Beck) now breaks every rule in television programming. Additionally, far-right noise programs attrack an OLDER audience. Television tries to cater, almost exclusively, to a YOUNG audience. Yet another reason the Beck hiring makes little sense.
Following the trend of tv programming networks should be trying to hire Keith Olberman types. He is the trend. He attracts a younger audience.
One can only conclude that ABC (and CNN) are more concerned about pushing an ideology then pursuing ratings. And that makes no sense at all in the programming business where its ALL about the ratings and money.
The word is a hate word meant to hurt. It is in the same vein as the “n” word. There is no possible defense for its use by Beck or anybody else. CNN needs to be smacked up the side of the head for what they said. It’s awful.
So even if it is just a “naughty name” as Beck calls it, why deliberately say something on air that you know will hurt and offend viewers? This is just the latest in a long line of outrageous remarks by Beck, and CNN would be well served to can this guy before he makes the network look any worse.
Boycotting Best Buy. And pretty much CNN. They are the worst network out there. They are not playing it straight to their contisuents, and are trying to court people who have no place in making news decisions or political ones.
MSNBC is where i’ll be for a long long time.
Beck must go however, as if he builds an audience, he’ll do as much damage to news as Bill O has.
It’s pretty simple really. When I see Glenn Beck’s face or hear his voice, I change the station. When I see Olberman’s face, I turn up the volume. I suspect many other people act the same way since Olberman’s ratings are going up and the rest of these fools are going down.
If it’s just a “naughty name”, then why did David Glover the radio host he was talking with about this issue take such great pains as to avoid saying it? From the transcript:
GLENN BECK, HOST: But anyway, Dave, what is the — what is the controversy? One of the guys called another guy a naughty name.
DAVE GLOVER, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Yes. Basically you have Isaiah Washington, who’s one of the stars of the show, who referred to one of his co-stars during a heated argument as a derogatory term for a gay man that starts with “Fâ€, rhymes with maggot. Did it a couple more times after that. And do you like how I did that?
“January isn’t over, and they’ve filibustered two bills already: Ethics Reform and the Minimum Wage. ”
Hey, what happened to the “up or down vote”? What a bunch of hypocrites. Maybe the Democrats should threaten to “go nuclear” with the filibuster like the Republics did to them.

Are you kidding me? You people are ripping glenn a new one for saying the word faggot is a naughty word… way to take that totally out of context. He was saying OVER AND OVER that the word has no place anywhere or anytime. He was simplly discussing the word and its innapropriateness and as soon as you bloggers get one little sentence as a talking point you go nuts. Get informed people rather than foaming at the mouth as soon as you hear 1/2 a second of something you dont like.
