Fox’s Gibson: CNN Reporter Who Debunked Obama Smear Probably Went To The Same Madrassa
Last week, Fox News highlighted a right-wing report alleging that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) attended an Islamic “madrassa” school as a 6-year-old child. In a memo released today, Obama’s office specifically called out Fox News host John Gibson for discussing the story “without any attempt to independently confirm the charges.”
On his radio show this week, Gibson refused to back down. He claimed the CNN reporter who debunked the false report “probably went to the very madrassa” as Obama. Gibson implied that CNN’s report had covered up religious extremism at the school:
GIBSON [W]hat did they see when they went to the madrassa where Barack Obama went to school?
HOST: Kids playing volleyball.
GIBSON: Playing volleyball, right. They didn’t see them in any terrorist training camps?
HOST: No.
GIBSON: No. Um, but they probably didn’t show them in their little lessons where they’re bobbing their heads and memorizing the Koran.
HOST: I didn’t see any tape of that, no.

I think an apology (or retraction other than another attack without merit) from Fox would be useless in the sense that those with a sense of morality that recognize the symbolism of an apology would not believe the apology was sincere. The Fox sympathizers and sycophants would look at it as a ploy to again fool the ignorant Left. The best thing would be to call them on every misstatement, sue the crap out of Murdock and let them go on their merry way. The only ones that will pay any attention are DUHbya’s 28%ers, and if they are reading that stuff they aren’t bothering anybody else. The fight for the Presidency for the next two years will be on two levels and will be very rewarding. The Repuglicans can do nothing but attack the Dems. Personally, I think Bush and some others should be brought before numerous courts for their lies to the American public, their disregard for the Constitution (that they SWORE an oath to defend and protect), possible war crimes, and also for putting the rest of the world on edge, not knowing what this stupid SOB [Bush] will order next!
Now that a significant percentage of the population (those who actually voted for Bush-Cheney for a SECOND time) appears to have pulled their heads out of their butts and realizes that close to EVERYTHING that Bush & Co. has told them has been a lie.
Personally, [I] (I’m so proud!) saw that Bush was so over his head and just appeared totally incompetent to me. So much so that I told everyone that would listen that “this clown’s going to get us into a war!”.
It didn’t happen right away, but unfortunately it did eventually come true.
This country, like most (if not all) others has actions, events, and people in it’s history that are good, and those that are bad.
The United States of America is far from perfect, but until Bush came on the scene and started their foolish plan to dominate the entire mideast (I just heard yesterday that the ‘authorization’ was for the troops to go ANYWHERE in the entire Mid-East if deemed necessary!), provide big companies like Halliburton, big oil Co’s, and others billions of [mostly unaccounted for] dollars, not to mention the 14 or so military bases we’ve built, we [had] a pretty decent relationship with most of the rest of the world…
Bush took all the goodwill that was generated by the 9/11 terrorist event and basically flushed it down the toilet.
Our Congress voted for the war, but that vote was mostly based on lies told to them (and the world) by people they trust[ed], and in the case of Colin Powell, HE himself was lied to by George Tenet regarding the veracity of (at least a portion of) the intelligence he was about to present as absolute fact to the United Nations!
So ENOUGH of the blanket statements (like yours) by foreigners (including your screen name)!
It’s really quite immature, and it’s not fair to the majority of good people here (or whatever country or group that’s being unfairly condemned by association).
Think about it… Bad leaders come to power sometimes.
The fairness of the elections in 2000 and 2004 IS a legitimate question despite what some may like you to believe, but the damage is done.
Like Iraq and Katrina, we can’t go back and undo the disaster, so all we can do now is try to make the best of a terrible situation.
The 2006 election has now put a stop to the uncontrolled power-grab of the Republicans and their irresponsible ‘rubber-stamp’ actions that has enabled Bush to drive this country off the road we WERE on and calls anyone who questions his actions a traitor.
We’re off to a decent start, and once the Bush gang is gone I hope that the rest of the (intelligent) world will give us a chance to prove that the prior eight years have been an abberation, and that we’ll all benefit from the support of the rest of the world to repair the damage Bush caused.
So bottom line, give us a break.

Obama is a good person. You would know this if you payed attention to his track record and the things he has done for this country. The fact that he is not white is what irks you and others like you. What you fail to realize, my friend, is that the majority of America is not white. Hell, the majority of America don’t even speak English. What annoys the republicans is that Obama is well liked and respected by most of America. What this means is that he has a good chance at winning an election. The Republicans are having a hard time finding a person who can compete with him. They are desperate to find someone young and charismatic to compete with him. Since they haven’t found their answer yet, Robert has taken upon himself to do what he does best. The mudslinging doesn’t get on his face and his employees will do what they’re asked because they want to keep their jobs.
Also for the record, I am not a Democrat. I am not a Republican. I refuse to belong to either party because neither of them are different. Since neither of these beliefs can be scientifically proved or are based on reason, how can one be right and another wrong? When both sides believe that eternity is at stake, are truly you surprised when conflicts result in violence and death? I’m not.
I fear for humanity as a species because religion is above reproach and rational scrutiny. Until this changes, there will continue to be senseless death and conflict all over the globe.

But as a Republican myself, I find it hipocritical for anyone be democrat or republican to call foul for this but not remember the other side of the coin.
I remember a NY Times peace that attacked Geraldo Rivera,(not my favorite mind you), that was PROVED to be completely false yet they flatly refused to run an apology.
I remember during the election campaign a Democrat commercial paid for by Erskine Bowles when he was running for a NC senate seat against Elizabeth Dole, that said “Dole is taking away your social security” and then showed a Dole look alike shoving an elderly man down a hill.
So yes this is wrong, but it is not just the Conservatives using this garbage, the Liberals do that same thing. I for one would like to see all of this garbage stop. For Political Parties to be abolished and for people to vote, not based on a friggin party lines but on the Facts!!!

He also owns the Washington Times, a right wing news paper. Moon alledgedly sees himself as the new messiah. Apparently, Insight Magazine broke this story on scant evidence and Rupert Murdoch’s Fox empire gobbled it up. Moon has no qualms about saboutaging those politicians who don’t agree with him and it looks like Obama’s taking the hit this time.

The reporter goes to a school, ergo he MUST be a former student of the same Madrassa???? Yeah, that makes sense, as I guess AL QAIDA would have seen some 40 years ago that one of their students was going to become a “Manchurain Candidate” and that they would need to infiltrate the CNN offices in Indonesia with one of their moles just in case their “candidates” background ever got investigated.
So the reporter clearly got the IMAMS at the school to round up a bunch of GIRLS (since extremist Wahhabist madrassahs are SINGLE SEX) and made sure that most of them were wearing secular attire, including shedding their mandatory burkas for the film crew.
Then they had the kids play a mixed sex game of volleyball (to show that this was not some school that banned the playing of sports…like the Taliban did) and even made certain that the girls were not wearing the long warm-up gear that’s typical in most Muslim nations.
The boys were rushed into the backroom to shed their flowing white tunics and skull caps, to doff standard “School of Rock” style uniforms.
Desks were hauled in to replace the prayer rugs. And a local library was ransacked to obtain schoolbooks. The Qurans were all hidden, as were the portraits of bin Laden!
And that picture that shows Obama as a schoolboy had to be carefully photoshopped to remove the jilbab headscarfs and from the girls in the picture and place them in “catholic school girl” uniforms. In fact, they had to be inserted in the picture…since Osama (I mean Obama) was clearly attending an extremist all-boys madrassah in which the only learning that took place was the reading of the Quran on prayer rugs.
I mean look at Barrack…he seems utterly uneducated as if he spent most of his school career only reading a religious text.
I can relate to Gibson. This whole cover-up about Obama is just as bad as the medias lack of interest in the banning of Christmas!

A nice two-fer for the Reverend Syung Myung Moon and his right wing propaganda empire - until they got caught that is.
