Sudan peace deal may unravel.

By Amanda Terkel on Jan 28th, 2007 at 1:18 pm

Sudan peace deal may unravel.

“A peace agreement that two years ago ended Africa’s longest-running conflict — and that the White House considers one of President Bush’s signature achievements — is in danger of unraveling because of inattention by top U.S. officials and growing tensions between Sudan’s government and the former rebels who signed the deal, according to experts and congressional officials.”

Bush does not care about the Sudan, just like he neglected New Orleans!

  2. unbelievable says:

Can someone other than Bush author this deal?

  3. Vince P says:

This is another front of the Jihad. Jihad is what is going on in Darfur. the peace agreement isn’t unraveling because of White House neglect.. it’s because the Sudanese govt has no interest in peace.

  4. unbelievable says:

The Bush-touch will always be synonymous with failure…

  5. Vince P says:

Wow..unbelievable you must have Bush in your mind constantly ..I bet you think about Bush more often then men think about sex.

Let it go.. it will be ok. You’ll even feel better.

  6. GSD says:

Vince is weaving together disparite movements in different locations and pretending that they are all one in the same.

    They are not.

The Bush on the mind syndrome pushed by rightwingers is funny. Isn’t Fox Noise pushing the “It’s Bill Clinton’s fault” theme every day?

(Not to lend solace or comfort to the current under-bridge dweller……….)
It is well advised to pay less attention to da Boosch…. he is, and always has been, the marionette controlled by the corporate war/drug/oil/weapons, etc. industry.
We could do best by focusing on the apex of evil, the President of Vice.
If he were politely and firmly removed from his position as puppet master, I believe the Brush Cutter in Chief would become immediately more cooperative.

  10. Vince P says:

Zooey: Bush dont not occupy my thoughts. I am not projecting. Do you know what that means?

  11. WaltTheMan says:

    #10 – Vince P,
    You’re playing the skin flute.

  12. Vince P says:

    GSD:

The seemingly isolated non-related movements are related. They all operate according to the principles recorded in Islam’s holy texts.. the Koran, the Hadith and the Sirah and as lived by the man Mohemmend who is offered to men as a perfect example of how one should live one’s life (according to thier POV)

I wrote a good response to you on this topic but its not showing, so I retyping this but things are never quite like they are teh first time, so my longer elaboration will just have to go missing.

  13. Zooey says:

Ok Vinnie P, as long as Bush “dont not” occupy your thoughts….

I’ve read through the other posts, and it seems that you’re the designated troll this fine morning. How do you like us, so far?

  14. Vince P says:

zooey: if I was being unreasonable or obnoxious i might agree with you. but all i have done is present a different viewpoint , one that was reached with quite a lot of research behind it.

Is that what you consider a troll to be? Just someone disagreeing wtih you? That’s sad.

  15. Vince P says:

Oh my comment about the Jihad was delayed, so i ended up writing it twice. my bad.

  16. Wayne says:

    Comment by Zooey

Yeah he seems to be projecting his own sexual fantasies on others. Hilarious.

Think he OD’d on the koolaid, no signs of brain functions from the posts i’ve seen from him in the last few threads

    Comment by Vince P

No Vinnie P, don’t get me wrong. I don’t consider you a troll because you disagree with me. I consider you a troll because you’re a jackass while you’re doing it.

    There’s a difference. :)

Your attack on UB was uncalled for. And your posts and “questions” are so unintellegent that they are really good comedy.

Yeah, you are a troll, and a funny one at that.
Try backing up your silly assertions with facts, maybe someone will debate you on it, untill then we just laugh.

  19. Vince P says:

Wayne: i’ve used plenty of facts… and then all the usual evasive replies and tactics come back. You folks are simply incapable of dealing with ideas that you haven’t been indoctrinated with .

  20. Zooey says:

That settles it, Vinnie P, you do project. Thanks for backing that up for me.

Here’s your definition: Projection – To externalize and attribute (an emotion or motive, for example) unconsciously to someone or something else in order to avoid anxiety.

  21. Vince P says:

are you absurdly saying that I haven’t dealt with the monolithic Bush is the Root of Evil mantra the past 6 years? I’ve hoped for his death so many times so that you raving maniacs would shut up.

In Darfur, arab Muslims are killing black Muslims. What’s happening in Dafur is ethnic (racial) cleansing…NOT a religious war.

You wished for the death of another simply so YOU wouldn’t have to listen to people who disagree with you?

    Wow. That’s sick.

Now isn’t that typical of a right ring wacko, wishing for the death of someone?

Adding racist to your resume, michael? What took you so long?

  32. Vince P says:

impeach: Racism is inherit in the religious ideology. Arab Muslims are seen as more authentic Muslims than Non-Arab Muslims.

The fighters in this civil are the janjawid, one of the most if not the most radicalized islamic groups in the country, and they operate as proxy for the sudanese govt.

Muslims cannot attack fellow Muslims, so a religious decision was made to view the other side as non-muslims, and because they are non-muslims, the ideology gives sanction to kill them.

So within their framework of Koranic understanding, they are acting out in a religiously acceptable way by waging war against the ethnic group of the rebels.

  33. michael says:

Some of us have the courage and conviction to be able to tell the truth. You might try it some time?

  34. Lisa says:

Vince P..Since you are still posting and not backing up your word’s of indoctination by example we can safely assume you drew the cheney short straw for the day and it is your job to try and indoctrinat us….No sale…You can’t even give your shit away..

  35. Wayne says:

wow, Bush’s falling poll numbers seems to have a direct relation to the IQ of the trolls that post lately.

    Amazing lmao

Time to ignore them, I say.

  39. michael says:

“convicted so strongly to your racisim”

Racism? Really? Did I mention race in any of my comments?

  40. Jason M. Hendler says:

Sudan is NOT the US’s problem, it is the UN’s problem, and Kofi Annan does not care about any African outside of his own tribe, so he is happy to stand by and witness their genocide – whether it is in Rwanda or in the Sudan.

The Bush admin, as a member of the G8, have pledged food and other aid, but NOT military support. Even the African Union and their troops won’t help these people, and will stand by as they are slaughtered in the refugee camps.

Further evidence of an unstoppable muslim push south out of the Sahara, to grab the oil and mineral rich resources of sub-Saharan Africa.

  41. michael says:

“Sudan is NOT the US’s problem, it is the UN’s problem”

But Jason, I thought EVERY problem in the world is Bush’s fault? Are you telling us it’s not?

  42. mparker says:

    look, Troll tag team.

  43. Clyde the Ripper says:

It is no wonder that so many of us have “Bush on our minds.” Just like the hemorrhoids we have on the other end–they all hurt so bad they are impossible to ignore.

  45. God is a Nihilist says:

Pat Robertson is sure to tag along.

  46. michael says:

I’m so glad to hear that Bush has such a negative impact on you!

  47. Vince P says:

Lisa tries to delegitimize someone becuase they have a differing view.

Are those the values that Lisa stand for?

  48. michael says:

“Are those the values that Lisa stand for?”

It’s the values ALL liberals stand for!

  49. Vince P says:

  50. mparker says:

  54. michael says:

“vince and mike and hendler are here to spread lies”

And I’m sure you can tell us what lies we are spreading? I’m off for a Sunday drive in the Sierras. This should give you plenty of time to dig up those lies. Later!

  63. Ashley Hansoon says:

listen, i dont think that darfur is any of bush’s fault, but that doesnt mean that he isnt at fault for all the other disasters taking place in the world…for all you bush lovers, i just want you to answer me one question. if bush is such a “hero” and is just “doing the right thing”, why the hell is he in iraq? and is aware of how hes making things worse, why the hell is he sending more troops? the man is the devil reincarnated, he doesnt wanna to “help” the sudan, he just wants to stand side by side to make sure the oil has his name on it..am i incorrect? bush has a history and a reputaton were all aware of, if you can name one good thing hes done for this world, i will forever hold my peace!!

  64. michael says:

“you might try parking it and getting out for at least a short walk, it’ll do wonders for clearing toxins from the body; and cobwebs and debris from the brain”

Oh Raven, is that the best you have? Are any of you going to ever say anything intelligent?

  65. veritas says:

Bush surrounded himself with unqualified yokels in every position – e.g. “Brownie, you’re doing a hellova job!”….What job? I guess he was doing the same hellova job that Dumbya was doing on vacation while people drowned to death for 4 days. This country learned a great deal when they couldn’t even get water to people dying for 4 days….what does that tell you about what kind of hands we’re in, huh?

It goes without saying that if you have unqualified idiots in important position like “top official positions” mentioned in this thread, the follow-up will not occur because they aren’t conscious that follow-up is essential to any task….yuk…yuk!

    IT’S THE ANTI-MIDAS TOUCH AT IT’S FINEST!

  66. michael says:

“but that doesnt mean that he isnt at fault for all the other disasters taking place in the world”

You see? It’s always America’s fault with you liberals. So tell us, what other disasters are you blaming us for?

“why the hell is he in iraq?”

I’ll answer that. We are in Iraq because prior to our invasion over 6,000 Americans were killed by radical Muslims. Iraq had been snubbing their noses at the world and ignored 12 U.N. resolutions. A war against terrorism needed to happen, as a matter of fact it should have begun 20 years ago. Iraq was a strategic country because it was situated between Iran and Syria. We now have a major military presence on their borders ready for the next phase of this war. If you spent less time complaining about our troops protecting the worlds oil and try to be somewhat patriotic this war could be over with sooner. But as long as you continue to provide comfort to our enemies they will realize that there is a segment of our population who don’t have the courage to stand up to and defeat them. I’m speaking of YOU!

“he just wants to stand side by side to make sure the oil has his name on it”

And it’s stupid comments like this that make me realize Vince is correct in saying that this is one big 8th grade class. However I think Vince is being too kind!

  67. veritas says:

#63 The so-called “bush lovers” are dwindling as we speak….today’s Newsweek poll has his “overall rating as a President” down to 30%. I’d say that’s about as lame as any lameduck can get.

  68. michael says:

“I guess he was doing the same hellova job that Dumbya was doing on vacation while people drowned to death for 4 days.”

    Where was the Mayor?
    Where was the Governor?
Why didn’t they leave when they were told?
Why didn’t any of those school buses get used to evacuate them?

  69. Liberal in New Mexico says:

  71. Liberal in New Mexico says:

#70- A liberal’s way of saying: you’re tedious and uninteresting.

  72. michael says:

    “you’re tedious and uninteresting”

Why, because you can’t debate me? You can’t answer any of my questions in #68? You can’t refute anything I said in #66? Do you just enjoy making shallow comments hoping nobody is going to challenge you?

  73. Liberal in New Mexico says:

#72- Your questions were answered an entire year ago, by anyone who was paying attention to the catastrophies that have long since transpired. My shallow comments are directed at your shallow questions and as is readily apparent by your lack of depth to any serious dialogue, this conversation is over and out, my friend. Ciao-

i don’t want you to hold your peace, but he did establish a national park in hawaii…

of course, i can’t help thinking there are ulterior motives involved…
someday we’re gonna find out that a bush crony made out handsomely in that deal, i’m guessing…
    .

  75. michael says:

“Your questions were answered an entire year ago, by anyone who was paying attention”

No they weren’t. You liberals made wild accusations about Bush and never provided a sensible answer to questions like mine. Besides, I’m not interested what someone else said 1 year ago, I interested in what YOU have to say. I’m interested in seeing if anything developed in your gray matter after spending all those years in public schools!

  76. katy says:

where did you go to school, michael?
did the nuns do this to you? … shame…
second thought… yours were the lay teachers, huh… even worse…
at least the nuns instilled in some us rebel free thinkers the will and determination to question any supposed authority and disavow the rantings of a megalomaniacal dictator wannabe and his cronies…

That right course is but an opinion Jason.

Rangel, a Democrat mind you, is still pushing his Mandatory Service Act of 2006.

If Sudan breaks into war and Iran breaks out into war male and female alike ages 18-42 will serve 2 years.

And please drop the lib act. It sounds so pedantic and parrotive.

  79. Marie says:

    #76 katy,
I think Michael was educated in private or parochial schools where he learned to obey authority without question. The president spoke, ergo, the truth was heard.
I attended a parochial grade school, and by the 5th grade I was questioning the authorities.

i would add OPENLY questioning by 5th grade … i’d already gotten a rep for being testy and curious…

  81. Shlomo says:

If you think the nuns were bad, try being educated by angry Holocaust survivors.

  82. RUCerious says:

Marie and katy, Mickey just spilled it out on the most recent thread…
